NH-U12s or NH-U12a?

Is it worth buying the more expensive u12a? I've been reading reviews from amazon and it looks like they only differ by a small margin. My current processor is Ryzen 2600 and my case is Phanteks P300.

any of the two will do. NHU12A has thicker heatsink (by about 18mm)  and stronger fans. but if the price gap is too big for you, any of the two will do .

Im with the mentaility of "IF IM NOT SURE IF ITS ENOUGH COOLING, GO OVERKILL"

STORAGE         : Seagate Baracudda 1TB and Kingston SSD
PSU             : Thermaltake Lite power 550W (Gonna change soon as i dont trust this)
CASE            : Rakk Anyag Frost
CPU COOLER      : ID-Cooling SE 207
CASE FANS       : Mix of ID cooling fans, Corsair fans and Rakk Ounos (planned change to ID Cooling)
DISPLAY         : SpectrePro XTNS24 144hz Curved VA panel
MOUSE           : Logitech G603 Lightspeed
KEYBOARD        : Rakk Lam Ang

HEADSET         : Plantronics RIG 500HD

Kingston Hyper X Stinger

 

and a whole lot of LED everywhere(behind the monitor, behind the desk, behind the shelf of the PC mount and inside the case)

I think it's worth it, you get 2 NF-A 12x25 fans compared to 1 NF-F12.

Forgive me El Guapo. I know that I, Jefe, do not have your superior intellect and education...

The margin of difference is only small if the load isn't very heavy. 

The 2600 is fairly easy to cool and there isn't much practical difference between either cooler in this case. That may change if you decide to use a more powerful cpu in the future.

Why are you looking at these coolers in particular?
