Hello, I have a question: "is proxmox VE a reliable piece of software?
Or is there other open source virtualization software that I can directly access with a ssh connection and a web interface to make your virtualmachines?".
please let me now, I intend to fully virtualize 2 servers.

Proxmox is reliable, pretty nice and recommended by many.

You could also just install some Linux distro and slap KVM on top of it, if you want.
