WiFi repeater

Close to the street of a relative's house I have access to a open WiFi that I can connect to using a log in and password that I have to type on a web page after I connect to it, so I can have internet access. How can I connect to this network and create a new one to increase it's range and have internet connectivity inside the house? Does a simple WiFi extender can do that?

What you are looking at is called a "Captive Portal".

I've looked into setting up a raspberry pi to access a wifi with one and extenting the network to it's ethernet port. You could, in theory, set up an Access Point behind that. If you find a simpler solution do tell.

Thanks for your answer! As far as I know I think I will have to use more than one device as two wifi network cards are required I think

Somebody Herr claimes the raspi can be both Client and AP at the same time
