Basically it just won't boot and plays an endless soft beep. I've googled around and probably the culprit is that windows 10 planted some files on my other drives besides the main one for the OS. (Yes, I installed windows with my other drives plugged in). I want to use my ssd on my oldest computer. Kinda got bored in quarantine, so why not revive my oldest pc. Is reinstalling windows with other drives unplugged the only easy solution? Or is there another easy way to fix this. Thanks!

Hey guys. I'm in dire need for some help. I have a Lenovo g505 laptop that doesn't turn on anymore. I don't know if the problem is the battery or the charger. When it's plugged in it blinks the battery or charger indicator (the lightening bolt). Same situation when the battery is out, and cord is plugged In. I do not know what to do. Can someone please help. Lenovo doesn't seem to have an idea what's going on either.

Hi, so I need help on these. 1) I originally have a single stick of plain 8gb of DDR3 1600mhz CL11 RAM from Apacer (no fancy heatspreaders). I thought it would be cool if I add a 2x4gb kit of G.skill Ripjaws 1600mhz CL9 thinking it would be a nice upgrade but after installing them, there's no display upon powering up for at least 10 seconds, then my pc would just bootloop every 2 seconds. I took out the old RAM and it booted but says "Overclock failed. Press F1 to configure etc." Seems like they weren't gonna work together, and I'm stuck with 8gb. Am I screwed or is there anything I could do to make them work together eventhough they're gonna be at lower latencies. The kit is currently running on xmp profile no problems so far. I'm using stock BIOS for my mobo. 2) I just installed a new EVGA GTX 1060 3gb card and I found that everytime I sent my PC to sleep, it would just reboot itself upon wake up, as if windows crashed or I got a BSOD without being able to see it. Any Ideas how I could fix this? I put it to sleep a lot. Some ideas of what I should do would be much appreciated. Thanks. Edit: I got the RAM running. It was simply a matter of putting the RAM in the right slots. I got Asus to help me out and did a little bit of research and found the solution. Thanks for helping out! my rig specs: Processor: i5 4460 GPU: EVGA GTX 1060 3GB Memory: 8GB DDR3 Motherboard: Asus H-81 Gamer Storage: 1TB HDD and 256GB SSD PSU: CoolerMaster Elite v2 500W

Hey all, iv had a problem recently where despite removing the cpu slot, the cpu is still ramping up and working at ~100% load. I have reinstalled and tried fiddling with slots. But to no avail. Is this a known bug? Or am I missing something. Not it that I also added abscond GPU without drivers, if this has something to do with it. And I'm being ignorant. Many thanks.

I have a Cooler Master Seion 120v. It's about 2 years old and used to work just fine. But now if i shut down my pc and then proceed to boot it after a while or right away as well it doesn't turn on the pump. The fan spins fine and it boots, but it gets super hot and shuts down. It boots and shuts down at least 3 times before i can hear the water go through the tubes. I cant put it to sleep and then go back with no problem. It only happens if i turn it off completely. Windows 10 AMD FX 8320 GA 78lmt-USB3 2x4 hyperfuryx 1600 Seidon 120v EVGA 500W 100-W1-0500 + 1 HD, 1 ssd, 2 fans

Hi everyone! As the title says my 3 months old pc won't start anymore. It worked fine for 2 minutes today until it just shut down just like the power was cut off. Can't turn it on anymore. Now I have read the guidelines about this issue on this forum and it still didn't help me so here goes. The only things I have currently in my pc (because I removed everything else) i7-7700k Gigabyte GA-Z270x-Ultra Gaming NZXT H440 When I try to start it only 1 led (CPU I think) blinks for a moment and nothing happens. If I try to turn it on a second time the led won't blink again. I need to unplug the powercord and wait for 10 seconds if I want to see that led blink again. https://youtu.be/mlQvYsvC2Po Sorry for the potato quality. What you are looking at are the led indicators of these things: VGA CPU BOOT DRAM And the (CPU?) led flicks on and off. What I've already tried: Checking if it's the psu - it's not. It works fine when I hook it to another computer. If I try a different psu the problem still persists Removing all fans and connectors from the motherboard. Removing the CPU and running it without it Resetting CMOS Checking the manual about troubleshooting, there is nothing about it. Replacing/Reslot the ram If anyone has any idea what it might be, thanks in advance!

I was playing GTA and noticed that my refresh rate was locked at 60, so I was tampering with all the settings to get back up to 144. I switched back into GTA only for my pc to freeze, so I shut it down and waited to deal with it in the morning, morning comes around Windows wont even boot, it says there is an issue and needs to restart and just keeps taking me to the same old choose an option to boot my pc, but nothing works. I tried putting the cable into my mobo slot instead, taking my GPU out, running a different monitor but windows wont boot. Linux works fine, but I really don't want to reinstall windows and I tried restoring it but that didn't work either. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance

Hi everyone I have an issue, I have a Dell Inspiron 15 5000 Series, the model is the Inspiron 5555 After using it for a while I decided to let it rest, so a turn it off, when I came back the laptop won't turn on, the battery was fully charged and everything was working great!! but after that shutdown doesn't turn on, I already tried a few things Pushing the power button withouth the cable and the battery on the Laptop, I tried it for, 5, 10, 15, 20, 30 and 60 seconds on different times and didn't work, sometimes it showed me like a white/amber led but didn't show anything and it won't turn on, and in a different occasion gave me a flashing fully white led, but it again didn't work, it doesn't give me any beep or anything also I tried doing the same steps withouth the HDD, RAM and BIOS Battery, again no different result Why is happening this to me haha :(? The computer has the latest Windows 10 Update, 12 GB Ram, A10 Proccesor, HDD 1TB Here's a link of the computer on Amazon if you need it: https://www.amazon.com/Dell-Inspiron-15-5555-A10-8700P-2-2GHz/dp/B0163Q724Q Thank you so much for wasting your time on my case haha, I'm really desperate!

I have been fighting with this new phone for the last 2 days and I cannot find a solution I've spoken to google support and we've tried Safe mode, clearing app cache, factory restore, WPS push button, hitting the reset button on both the modem and my router, unplugging and plugging them back in, I bought a new router (My idea: thinking if a Google OnHub cant connect to this google phone then nothing will), rebooting the phone, disconnecting all other devices from the router and trying to connect, playing with location services to see if they make a difference. I did get it to connect by removing the wifi protection and it also worked with WEP but WPA2/WPA it just goes to obtaining Ip address then saves, it never connects to the internet. My PC and PS4 connect and disconnect from the internet no problems it's just this fucking phone, I have read that if I change the IP setting to "Static" it should work but I don't know how to do that, i've tried google and it got me "connected, no internet access" and so far the best i've got is authentification failure. It's a nice phone but I don't think I can afford a phone that uses nothing but mobile data, that could end up costing upwards of 200 a month.

Okay so I'm having problems downloading the Windows 10 ISO file My Internet connection is stable and downloads at around 44 Mbps and I haven't had trouble downloading games on my Xbox that were around 70GB+ so I don't think stability is an issue. I also have 12GB of storage on my android phone's external Micro SD card and 8GB on my USB. I don't actually have a PC which is why it's kind of awkward for me to do this since it would obviously be a lot easier with one. I have tried downloading on my Xbox one but I keep getting signed out of Google and it won't download at all. I then tried Chrome, Dolphin and Firefox and so far it finishes but then says "download was interrupted" or incompleted or something along those lines. Does anyone know what else I can do? I don't understand what it's so difficult to download though I have heard there's been quite a few issues with Microsoft's services lately. Any help with be appreciated.

So long story short, I moved my hardware from one case to another and now windows wont boot unless I have only one of the ram sticks in only one of the slots. Now the thing is I tried that one stick on both of the slots (its mini itx so theres only 2 slots) and it only works in the first and not the second slot, which made me think the slot was faulty, but then I tried the other stick and to my suprise the other one wont work in either of the slots (RGB on the sticks still works btw). At this point the only logical conclusion my mind comes to is that I not only damaged the slot whilst moving the hardware but the stick itself too like wtf what are the chances. I've thoroughly checked the mobo as well as the ram stick for any scraches or damage of any sort whatsoever and they both seem perfectly fine. Also if the ram slot or stick were dead wouldn't windows still boot but just not read them ? So now I'm only running with 1 stick in the first slot until I figure something out, I'm planning on checking whether or not the second stick works ok on my cousin's pc and I'll give you an update but until then ANY piece of advice will be greatly appreciated considering i really want my sweet 8 gigs of ram back to work. SPECS: CPU: Intel i5 7600k, 3.8GHz (4.6 OC) MOBO: Asus Strix z270i Gaming GPU: Zotac Nvidia Geforce 1070 RAM: Corsair VENGEANCE® RGB 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4 DRAM 3200MHz HDD: Seagate 1TB SSD Samsung Evo 860 500gb PSU: EVGA Supernova 550 G3 or something like that Windows 10 64bit

I bought a brand new pc from my friend just a few weeks ago. The problem is, the first time i took the pc to my house, it wont turn on. Then i send it back to him. But, its work fine at his house. So i bring the pc back to my house for 2nd time and it work fine JUST for 3 days. It wont turn on on day 3 after shutdown for more than 10hour. Then again, i bring the pc back to my friend house. THE PC WORKS JUST FINE. 1 tap at the power button and it turn on. Bring the PC back home for 3rd time, i can turn it on, play game for a few hours, try shutting it down and power it on again for a couple time. It work like a normal pc it should be. Then, after i shutting it down for like 10hour, it wont turn on again. So i told my friend its happen again and he told me 'maybe' my house electrical was unstable and ask me to buy an AVR or UPS.

Okay so i have a computer with the following specs :- Asrock x58 extreme 3 mobo (no vid out on mobo) Intel x5660 @2.8ghz 8gb ddr3 kingston ram (2gb x4) Nvidia gt 9400 512 mb 128gb liteonit ssd 500gb wd hdd Fsp hexa+ 550watt psu Dell xps case I disassembled my computer in order to clean it before i get a new graphics card. After assembling it back together it won't post at all. CPU fan spins, hard drive spins, mobo lights light up, case fans spin. Drdebug on the motherboard maintains the status "00" which according to the manual means "Passes control to OS Loader (typically INT19h)." Which i think means that everything in terms of hardware is working, components are fine and connections are alright. 6 months ago my stock intel heatsink pins broke so i screwed the heatsink with the pinholes with rubber(non-conductive) washers in between on the both sides so maybe that could be the problem but it worked fine for 6 months tho. Things I've tried :- -tried monitor on different pc, works -tried graphics card on different pc, works -ran pc on only 1 ram stick -disconnected and reconnected all wires including the 24 pin atx wire and 8 pin 12v wire -cleared cmos Urgent help needed. Thanks.

I built a computer around 2 ish years ago now and its been running great until today.... I went to boot my rig to play some Pubg and Overwatch, and to my surprise pressing the power button did not make my system engage in any boot sequence what so ever... I checked all the front panel connections and everything checked out, except still no boot. The motherboard has a indication LED that it is powered so I unplugged the Power Switch header and tried to start a boot using my screwdriver to complete the circuit, and to my surprise still no boot! What could this mean for my PC ... PLEASE HELP I DONT WANT MY BABY TO BE DEAD

Hi I am trying to make a DIY computer from an old laptop like Matt did on DIY Perks here... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e3fnsGHe8eE&t=458s I am also trying to salvage the screen to make a portable monitor like he did here... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CfirQC99xPc So my problem is that the laptop wont post at all without the original laptop screen in place, once I plug the screen in and it posts then I can unplug it and use it ass normal with a secondary display. I'm thinking if I can get something to plug in instead of the screen it could fool the pc into thinking theres a screen plugged in and then it should post, but I dont know what that would be called. If anyone has anyideas that would be great. I am using an Alienware 15r (I think its 2014 or 2015) GTX 970m, i7, 16GB ram.

So I have been trying to install windows 10 all day, and it keeps giving me this "a media driver your computer needs is missing" error right after I press install windows from the USB stick. I have tried everything that other people suggested and none of it has worked. I tried switching the port after getting the error and then trying again, I tried installing on a different USB stick, I tried reinstalling it at least 4 times with the media creation tool and a few with win32 disk imager. I cant think of any drivers that I would need and I was wondering if anyone here might have some idea? I have a ryzen5 1600, gtx 1060, 8gb of ram, an m.2 ssd and a hdd, so what might help fix the issue?
