I'm trying to install Windows 10 Pro on two new builds (one AMD Ryzen, one Intel X79 XEON). I have downloaded the official USB installer from Microsoft.com (USB Creation Tool), but every time I try to run the installation I get the following message (shown in the attached picture): https://imgur.com/a/rYcIwU9 "Windows cannot install required files. make sure all files required for installation are available, and restart the installation. Error code 0x8007025D" I have looked up the standard fixes for this error code, and nothing seems to be working. Also, these two systems are completely different (one has a Ryzen 5 2400G with Desktop RAM, the other has an Intel XEON CPU with ECC RAM). I have tried using one RAM module installed, I have tried completely different RAM kits, I have tried the installation with more than one 2.5" SSD (and more than one m.2 SSD). I made 3 different USB installers (directly from the Microsoft download page), and cleaned the SSD with the Diskpart utility each time. At first, the Ryzen system was able to get Windows 10 Pro installed (using the first USB installer stick I made), but I was not able to download all of the official Microsoft updates and I could not install the AMD Adrenalin driver package. No matter how many times I tried to install these updates, it was not working. So, I just tried re-installing Windows and now none of the USB installers seem to be working at all (I cannot even get Windows 10 installed). The installer error message pops-up pretty quickly during the Windows 10 installation process, and refuses to proceed past that point. I have tried a lot of different component parts, made multiple USB sticks, and nothing seems to be working.I have never seen a situation where I could not even install Windows 10. What do you think is going on here? Are there any fixes for this?

Hello there, my PC sometimes crashes for absolutetly no reason. I thought, that it was because of my PSU, but an online calculator said, that about 560 Watts should be enough, my PSU has 700 Watts. I can't find the problem, it happens at least once a day, when I use my PC. The issue only exists since I have the RTX 4070, before I had an GTX 1650. With that one I had no problems at all. I'd like to notice, that I have a few internal HDDs and a few SSDs. Is there a way to see what causes this problem? It mainly happens when I play games btw. Thank you already!

I recently upgraded my cpu from a Ryzen 1400 to a Ryzen 5800x My specs are 2666 16GB of Kingston memory Rx570 4GB ASRock B450 pro4 (bios 5.7) The crashes always said whea_uncorrectable_error At first I thought it was a heat issue but my cpu is running at normals temps of 50-60 80 when first booting up I noticed it never crashes if it isn't booted into windows 10, in bios or windows recovery tool, it never crashes no matter how long you leave it I tried to look for faulty drivers and this is what it found I would like to add that, with the other cpu, I have experienced no crashes I have also seen on YouTube comments that it maybe due to bent pins and I have yet to check, but at first assessment the cpu didn't look to have any bent pins I have also considered windows to be the issue but I have honestly no clue how to move forward, this cost me a lot of money and idk how to fix it

So, apparently 2 of our employee manage to bypass our Admin password and install torrent software to Company's PC. There are two local user: 1. Administrator with password - they supposedly don't know. 2. User with password - they use this one. Even though they already sign the User Agreement for company PC. They confess that they ask 3rd party (outside of our organization) : ex employee and their kids to do it. Either they know the Admin password or they find a way to bypass it. From Google Search this what I found: https://itoolab.com/windows-password/how-to-bypass-admin-password-windows-10/#:~:text=Method 1%3A Bypass Admin Password Windows 10 Using Lusrmgr&text=msc” in the Run bar, admin account without any software How to prevent them next time from doing it again? Should we just use M365 Business Account to log them? Thanks

My computer forcefully restarts on a daily basis, im not sure what is the problem, in reliability monitor it says: windows was not properly shut down, sometimes it says that an app made it crash for an example i got yesterday: Windows Explorer stopped working in crash/error logs event viewer i got: "The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. this error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed or lost power unexpectedly" I dont know what is the problem but i hope somebody can help? my pc is older than a year and probably coming up to 2 years What i have noticed: My power cable connected to the power supply is sort of loose it moves more than its supposed to before it would sit tight and move only when force is applied to move to pull it out of the power supply (of course i was taking it out gently to not rip out anything or break anything)

Hey guys. I'm really hoping someone can help me here because I'm about to explode from the frustration. I have windows 10 pro, 64 bit, currently version 21H2, though the problem was also on 22H2. I have a custom PC with a ryzen 5 2600 cpu, 16GB of Ram, an Rx580 gpu, and a my OS is installed on a 256GB SSD. I think this is all the information that's needed. Please let me know if there is anything else. I've included a bunch of screengrabs here: https://imgur.com/a/jagXpxE Four days ago, after installing update 22h2. My computer gave me a prompt to change the password on my local account before I logged in. My original password was just 5 numbers. It was simple because I have young kids and wanted to maintain a bit of security while still letting them log in (the password to the admin account was and is complex and did not change, nor does it need too). I was away for a while so today I attempted to change the password back to something simple and have been constantly stymied by the error message: "The password you entered doesn't meet the requirements, try one that's longer or more complex". I've been able to solve most of my tech problems by just looking up the answer and following some online instructions, so I gave it a shot. Four hours and over a dozen failed solutions later and I've all but given up. Here's the broad strokes of what I've tried. Rolling back the update to 21h2 (same error message). Removing passwords altogether via netplwiz (no check box). a) Going into regedit and changing the device password key value from 2 to 0 did not restore the box. Using the command prompt to change to a simple password (same error message). a) By leaving the password section blank and typing (C:Windows\system32>net user "user" "") I was actually able to remove the password entirely so login is automatic - but this is not ideal. Going into the group policy editor and changing "password must meet complexity requirements" to "disabled" (nothing changed, same error message). a) It was actually already disabled. b) I did force it to update via "gpupdate/force" in the elevated command prompt and restarted my machine but there was no effect. c) Enabling complexity requirements but setting minimum passwords length to 4 characters, enabling "Relax minimum password length limits" (nothing changed with any combination). Going into the local security policy and changing "password must meet complexity requirements" to "disabled" (nothing changed, same error message). a) This was also disabled by default. b) I read somewhere that a domain control may overwrite group policy editor but this is a personal version of windows 10 pro and there is no domain controller. c) I even installed the active directory administrative center to check b). Trying to disable windows hello because I heard this requires password requirements it by default but windows hello wasn't enabled in the first place (nothing). Logging in with a Microsoft account rather than a local account (didn't change anything) a) I was grasping at straws by this point. Needless to say I have restarted and rebooted my PC and few times during this process. Please tell me there's something stupid I've missed. I've been unable to let this go all afternoon. I won't call it a total loss because I kinda enjoy the puzzle solving aspect of troubleshooting and I've learned a bit about my PC but now I just want it to be over.

Hey, first time posting to the forum. I recently bought a laptop and am having an issue with the keyboard. I have checked the drivers and they appear to be up to date and when I plug in an external keyboard the issue doesn’t occur. my issue is when I have holding ctrl + a the space bar stops registering. I noticed this while playing a game as ctrl is sprint and space is jump, when moving left, sprinting and trying to jump the space does not register. However this issue can be replicated in all application like Word, mail etc. even in the windows search bar holding this combination of ctrl and a prevents space bar registering. anyone have any suggestions?

Hello LTT Community, I am having a weird issue I noticed due to the ongoing x570 USB dropout issue. That upon iCUE reattaching to my headset im losing audio from discord, I still get all the other system audio just nothing from the discord voice channel. If I change voice channels and return to the same one the issue stops and everything works again until the x570 dropout reoccurs . After extensive testing. (Support tickets on going with both Corsair and Discord) The issue seems directly tied to the use of windows 10 pro vs windows 10 home and the new AMD chipset. Between myself and my friend group I was able to perform testing on the issue on a combination of motherboards, processors with both windows 10 pro and windows 10 home. The issue only occurs if Windows 10 Pro is the OS being used and only if its on the new AMD chipsets. The full testing summary and test procedure is listed below. Would anyone have any idea at all what the difference between windows 10 Pro and windows 10 Home could be that would cause this behavior? Due to the x570 issue its getting really annoying. All computers running the latest available versions of windows 10 pro/home respectively with the same version of iCUE and the same discord version. Bios revisions up to date per manufacturer websites. Testing Performed: 1) Windows 10 Pro, X99 motherboard (i7-(5930k) - No Issue 2) Windows 10 Home, X99 Motherboard (I7-5930k) - No Issue 3) W10 Pro B550 Motherboard (Ryzen 3100G, PCI gen 3, Ryzen 3600XT/PCI3) - Had the issue 4) W10 Home B550 Mb (Ryzen 3100G, PCI Gen 3) - No Issue 5) W10 Pro X570 Mb (Ryzen 5900x/PCI 4, Ryzen 5800x/PCI4) - Had the issue 6) W10 Home X570 Mb (Ryzen 5800x/PCI4) - No Issue Test Systems (Motherboard: Scenario used in (Processor used for tests) ) : Gigabyte X99 Gaming G1 + Wifi : Test scenarios 1 and 2 (5930k) (My former build) Asus X99A Deluxe : Test scenarios 1 and 2 (5920k) *Asus X570 Crosshair VIII Hero: Test scenario 5 and 6 (5900x) - Test 5 for this setup also included both the current beta and alpha builds of discord along with full clean installs of iCUE (registry key removal and all) as directed by corsair support. MSI X570 Pro Carbon : Test scenarios 5 and 6 (5800x) MSI B550 Pro-VDH-Wifi : Test scenarios 3 and 4 (3100G/3600xt) Gigabyte B550 Vision D : Test scenario 3 (3600xt) * My personal current computer. running windows 10 pro Laptops tried with same process listed below: MSI GS63VR Stealth Pro-422 w/SSD Swap - Win 10 Home - i7-6700HQ - No Issue Sager NP8155 (Clevo P650HP3) - Win 10 Home - i7-7700HQ - No Issue Test Procedure: 1) Boot System/log in 2) Start up iCUE 3) Connect corsair virtuoso to system via USB cable (Wired mode) 4) Open discord 5) Manually set discord to use the virtuoso headset as the desired input and output device 6) Do a sound check both receiving and transmitting audio with friend 7) Using the Rhythm discord bot, with another computer in the same audio channel for verification, to play music. 8) Confirm headset is playing music 9) Close iCUE 10) Note short disruption in audio, less than 100ms but audio continues 11) Relaunch iCUE 12) Take note if audio continues to play after receiving notification from iCUE for "Mic On" (See test setups 3 and 5) 13) If an issue occurred, change to a different voice channel in discord and then return to the starting channel 14) Note if audio resumed playing 15) Confirm with secondary validation computer that audio stream never stopped transmitting in the designated audio channel. TLDR: Audio dropout upon device reconnection to iCUE in discord only effects computers running on x570 or B550 chips that also have the Windows 10 Pro operating system installed but doesn't occur if using Windows 10 Home. Any ideas as to what could cause this?

Hey, i have a little question and i hope i can get an answer. currently i have windows 10 pro i am using a strix raid dlx soundcard and a Asus ROG Strix B550-F Gaming my main issue is that after a fresh boot let's say about 90% of the time my soundcard would seem to not be detected. but a few hours later it always picks it up. and from that point on it works perfectly withouth any trouble whatsoever untill ofc i turn the pc off and on again. this problem seems to presist and is most likely windows bound. (or internally in the card itself.) since i have experiences this problem since a windows 10 update on my previous build. so the odds it's the motherboard or any other part is small since it's a complete new build yet the problem remain's ( ofc it might be a setting issue wich i am unaware off) Can anyone offer some advise? or is it basically window beeing windows again and not fixing the issue since not enoug people have it? regular onboard audio works fine as does gpu audio in case anyone was wondering.

Good morning from Austria, i got really stuck with my new built PC. My old one was about 8 Years old so i bought a completely new Setup as my personal reward for 2020. Here are the specs of my new build: CHASSIS: Corsair Carbide Series 275R CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600X MB: ASUS ROG Strix B550-F Gaming GPU: Asus Rog Strix 3070 8GB PSU: PHANTEKS Revolt Pro 80 PLUS Gold 850W Power Combo RAM: Crucial Ballistix RGB DDR4-3200 32GB Kit CPU Cooler: Be Quiet Dark Rock 4 CHASSIS Fan: 3x Be Quiet 120mm (2 Fans in Front, 1 Fan in Back) So far so good - i use this build as an overpowered Homeoffice PC (because of Corona) and for sure as a gaming PC. One week ago i started working with "normal" Tools like Blender, Adobe Premiere, Adobe Photoshop, Visual Studio Pro and everything was smooth as hell. 3 Days ago i tried the first games in Ultra Mode and it was great UNTIL Windows restarted unexpected after about 5-10 Minutes of playing. I tried following Games in Ultra so far: The Witcher 3 World of Tanks RDR 2 And EVERY Game forced Windows to restart after about 5-10 Minutes. Temp was good - CPU on max. 62° C, GPU on max. 59° C (max. 48% VRAM Usage), MB on max. 43° C and so on. So i googled and searched and tried following things to find the failure: CPU stress test - no problems GPU stress test (firemark, 3dmark) - no problems RAM memtest/windows RAM check - no problems Updated BIOS Updated MB Drivers Updated GPU BIOS Uninstalled GPU Drivers (DDU) and reinstalled newest driver from NVIDIA (without GE) Changed Windows Settings in Energy saving Plans (turned off Harddrive Sleep after 20 Minutes, no sleep, no display off) Turned off fan cooling of PSU (because why not) Didn't try to change PCIE slot for GPU - got it in the upper one of the MB. Didn't try a different PSU because....i got none with enough Watts at home. Nothing solved the problem - so i re-installed Win10 completely to have a clean start and did the same procedure as mentioned above (stress test, driver updates etc.). I played RDR2 again and same behaviour - windows restart after about 5-10 Minutes. Windows events just shows the Kernel-Power 41 Error - so thats not an indicator for me. Windows memory dump file couldn't be created (said by windows event viewer) BUT i found some very interesting Dump Files in Windows - LiveKernelReports - WATCHDOG. Dumpfile Reader (WhoCrashed) says that my actual GPU Driver by NVIDIA (v460.89 - installed without GeForce Experience) is causing this problem (see attached Screenshot) with error "VIDEO_ENGINE_TIMEOUT_DETECTED". So what did i do next? Again I googled my a** off and just found a few people suggesting workarounds like try to underclock the GPU to max. 1755MHz. Didn't try it till now but i don't think that this will be the overall solution? Did anyone else have the same experience? Is there a "simple" solution to this problem (maybe older GPU driver)? I mean i'm really pissed because the new build wasn't cheap (europe is f**** expensive) and i couldn't wait to do nice stuff with it but that failure is so devastating. Thanks for any answer! Cheers, Shizo (Dave) EDIT Played RDR2 for the first time longer than 5 minutes after i found and installed a GPU BIOS Update and i hoped my error was gone. After 22 minutes - windows/screens gone. No restart. Just gone. Black Screen. No dumpfile. No hint about the problem this time. Hard reset needed. Temperature CPU/GPU constantly on 61° C. VRAM Usage at 48%. Now i'm back on the PC and he acts like nothing happened. I'm definitely more frustrated now. EDIT 2 Got another crash - found the dump file - same error message again (Video Engine Timeout)....kind of happy about that EDIT 3 Installed an older GPU driver from December 2nd (Version 457.51) - played for nicely 20 Minutes and got a Blackscreen with audio noise. Again like in first edit no dump file found and still win event viewer just with a kernel-power error 41. temperature and everything was fine. old driver was just not happy with my grafic settings in RDR2. EDIT 4 Advanced stresstest made - ran Prime95 and 3DMark at the same time. No problems. So i guess its not the PSU. EDIT 5 Put my old GTX 750Ti in - worked fine. I mean very bad grafic settings but no windows restarts oder driver errors. Got back to the 3070 and even when i'm just in the settings menu of f.e. World of Tanks - windows restart and Kernel dump message VIDEO_ENGINE_TIMEOUT_DETECTED.

Having really weird problems with windows search not working, one day it works fine and then suddenly it stopped working (it happened something like 2 weeks ago). I find it really weird because it shows some results (mostly programs) but most of them aren't there unless you type just one letter in which case all the results show up (at least i think that all of them do, the list cuts off after a bit). I tried restarting the computer, installing all windows updates, changing the search settings from classic to enhanced, re-indexing my drive, running the troubleshooter (which shows that there is a problem, gives an option to repair it, then the search works for 0-2 searches and breaks again). If it matters at all my full pc specs are on my profile

Windows 10 Pro Version: 2004 Build: 19041.172 Since the past 2 weeks I have seen the taskbar behave very absurdly. Nothing happens when I right / left click any of the following: Taskbar icons (only right click doesn't work) Volume Button (only left click doesn't work) Networks Button (only left click doesn't work) Time & Date Button (only left click doesn't work) Action Center (only left click doesn't work) Though I can right click on the empty space of taskbar to open it's settings. Watch this to see what I mean. I have found no system integrity violations. So, please suggest a solution other than a fresh windows install.

Hello everyone, I used to build systems back in my younger days, many years ago and took a break because of life and work. but decided to jump back on to build a mid grade gaming rig. I seem to be having a problem every time i start a game. The main monitor, a Samsung 32 (model C32HG7x) connected via Display Cable. at first i though it was a bad monitor so i replaced the monitor but it that didn't work also, replaced the cable. its only the 1 monitor my second monitor stays fine, its and old viewsonic. I've tried updating all my drivers as far as i can tell. windows is up to date. firmware is in the motherboard is update according to their site.at first i though it was overheating so i got a temp monitor on it but it doesn't seem to be going above 55-60 C. i don"t think that an issue but who knows it might be now. like i said its been like 10-12 years since i actually build a computer and played with it so i am worried i messed something up. i recorded a short video of what it did when i tried to run Anno 2205 but it seems to do the same with all games even some of the older ones that should not tax this system. like ace combat from back in 2000 i think. here is a summary of my system specs: attached is a full Speccy report and the video i mention. I hope someone can help me. Summary Operating System Windows 10 Pro 64-bit CPU AMD Ryzen 5 3600x RAM 32.0GB Motherboard ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC.
