I like playing PS2 games and occasionally Wii games. I also like to see what I’m doing and where I’m going. The resolution for both my Wii and PS2 is capped at 480i and they don’t seem to want to fit to the TV’s aspect ratio. When I try to change the settings on the PS2 it sort of works, but when I go into a game it doesn’t work so well, especially for NFS Most Wanted. What I mean is I usually have to zoom in on the picture on the TV, and then reset the zoom when I go into a game because I can’t see half of it. I am also using a Fosmon AV splitter as I only have room for on AV cable on the back of my TV, but I didn’t really run into this issue until I got a new TV (my old one was at most probably 720p, and I’m now using a 1080p tv) Any ideas for what I could do? If an upscaler isn’t the answer I’d be happy to know what else I could do. (I know this post might be a bit of a mess, I also didn’t really know where to go for answers)

Basically I modded my wii and bought a usb drive, and for about 2 weeks it worked fine but then it just acted like its corrupted out of the blue, windows detects it as broken and asks me to scan it, I've scanned it about 10 times and appearantly it has "no issues", and also whenever I get this error the drive goes bad and just doesnt get detected anymore.I've tried formatting it again and again [FAT32] but it just wont work.

First off, I want to say thank you to everyone who played wii sports while waiting in line, passed the wii remote around, shared their stories of playing wii sports, and made waiting in the LTX lines enjoyable for everyone! I had so much fun running around meeting everyone in the long lines and having you all play wii sports on the good O' steam deck. This is what the community is about! Of course like I said I would, here is all the scores of all the LTT staff I found at LTX and some notable mentions! Enjoy and I hope to see you all around at future events! - Wiisportsguy We had 14 Strikes over the entire weekend!

Budget (including currency): $50-100 (if this is possible) Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Dolphin Emulator (Gamecube and Wii games) Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Dell Optiplex 3020 SFF with i5 4590 (4c 4t @3.7 Ghz), 8 GB DDR3 The GPU needs to be single slot and small form factor. This is more for the future since the GPU market is crazy right now. Would something like a GT 1030 suffice?

Hello, I have recently been getting into emulation with retroarch and is it going great however I have had an issue with Wii emulation specifically Super Mario Galaxy where everytime I collect a star bit the game slows down alot but otherwise runs fine. I found this site which seems to have explain something similar but I can't seem to find the correct settings: https://wiki.dolphin-emu.org/index.php/Super_Mario_Galaxy I have an I7 10700, RTX 3070 and using an XBOX One controller. So the specs should not be a problem. Do we have any emulation wizards that may be able to help?

I recently bought a Wii U from a friend. Upon using I discovered that the R and ZR buttons do not work despite all the other buttons working. When I opened up the gamepad I did not find and physical damage to these buttons. I used some isopropyl alcohol to do some cleaning insides and nothing changed. At the end of the ribbon I was able to trigger ZR and R using my multimeter but that is as much progress I was able to make. I know the grey buttons on top of the ZR and R are not the problem since they work on other buttons. The photo attached shows that most "damage" I found, I was able to clean it all off.

Hey there, i'm a physiotherapist and i really dislike how the current popular controller design forces incredibly poor posture - especially when considering extended use. The 2 part switch/wii controller fixes this issue entirely - unfortunately neither of these work well on PC. (Wiimote not at all from my understanding - didnt test them it myself since i dont own one - and the switch joycons basically just dont have games that support using both at the same time since theyre recognized as different input devices - even though you can fairly easily make a single one work on PC via bluetooth). Has anyone ever seen a controller like that (preferably wired but doesnt really matter) that works natively on PC without excessive input emulation with Autohotkey or similair programs?

So I am currently at my local used games store and I have enough money for either a GameCube, a wii with almost every accessory, a ps2, a ps3, or an Xbox 360. I need help choosing because I’m indecisive as all hell. Just something to note though, I do not have an Xbox account, and I do not want to pay for Xbox live, however the games on it might be good enough to warrant a purchase of Xbox live. thanks for helping me choose

So, I use a BootMii flash of my real Wii console for game capture. On my old PC, the photo channel custom icon was working fine, but now it's just black. The photos show fine from the emulated SD card, and I can access them perfectly fine from the photo channel and WiiMC. The photos are also black when posted to the Wii Message Board. I'm using the latest build of Dolphin.

I’m currently looking for the Gboy kit or the PCB schematics file so I can get the boards custom made.

Hey all. Anyone familiar with the Wii hacking scene may know of my previous work with the Nintendo Wii and hardware hackery. Also, anyone familiar with the wii hacking scene certainly knows of Team Twiizers and their BootMii software used for backing up and restoring the Wii's system software. Well, I would like to share with you something that myself and a fellow hacker have been working on. We, like many others, got our hands on the leaked Nintendo files a few weeks ago. In those leaked filed contained what is known as SDBoot. SDBoot was used in factory for installing the system onto the Wii. My friend (whom asked to not be named anymore) found an exploit in Nintendo's SDBoot code. I was able to flash SDBoot to my Wii with a hardware flasher. The result of which allows us to have BootMii for every model of Wii including the Wii Mini. In the video below you will see a Wii Mini motherboard that I have added an SD card slot and reset button to, and I will turn on the Wii Mini and BootMii will load up right away. <video link removed by staff> This is something that a majority of Wii owners have missed out on as early in the Wii's life Nintendo patched the vulnerability in Boot1 that did allow the installation of Bootmii in Boot2 making it impossible to have this anti-brick feature in most Wii's. I thank you guys for coming and checking this out. I do original hardware hacks to the Wii quite consistently, and as of lately I have been doing a live stream hacking on youtube. Original articles: Nintendo Life Nintendo Everything Original forum post: ResetEra The forum post also goes on to list the contents of the leak: As well as the other content that has leaked over the last few weeks: Atheerios also handily links a video showing a demo ROM from one of the leaked Nintendo 64 files, used to test the console: All of this makes it a very exciting time to be an legacy Nintendo console fanboy (like me), possibly extending the possibilities of Homebrewers on their consoles. Some of the enthusiasts on r/WiiHacks have been discussing the possibilities: I'm very excited to see what people will be able to do with their Wiis now that there are no limits other than those of the hardware. (It'll be interesting to see if it can run Crysis)

Was performing a teardown of a Nintendo wii (model rv101, board revision C/RVK-CPU-02), which does not have gamecube controller and memory card ports. The board has those connections, so I'm wanting to solder ports onto it. I got to the board, and found an unusual port where gamecube memory cards usually go, but it obviously isn't one. Anyone know what this is?

Hey everyone! So I wanna get a new wiimote and wireless sensorbar to use with the dolphin emulator but I need a bluetooth dongle. I'm concerned about the latency it might have. The problem is that where I live I can't get the much recommended Kinivo BTD-300, or any Kinivo product, because it doesn't ship here (I live in The Netherlands). So I was wondering, can any of you brave people (it's a dutch site, but I guess it's not that hard since it's mostly just the products.) go see if any of the products here https://tweakers.net/categorie/309/bluetooth-en-ir-dongels/producten/ are good? I want it under €20,-. All of the products there can ship to The Netherlands, so if you know any good dongle I can use for Dolphin specifically then let me know. I don't know how to look for that kind of stuff and actually don't even know if latency on bluetooth is a problem... Oh and I use Windows 10 64-bit Education, Creators Update. I don't know if that is a problem, I've seen a lot of complains about that in the reviews section of several products there. Thanks in advance!!!!!!

I recently bought a mayflash W010 dolphin bar (http://www.mayflash.com/Products/NINTENDOWiiU/W010.html) I want to use it in dolphin emulator( https://dolphin-emu.org/ ), this emulates wii games on pc. I would also like to use wiimotes as a mouse for testing certain things. However, I cannot sync my wiimotes to the dolphin bar and have no idea why. I tried lots of things already but nothing seems to work. LED 1, 2 and 3 of the wiimote blink with any button press as well as the sync button. The dolphin bar should have bluetooth built-in.

Hi, I'm just inquiring what is a safe and good software to configure a Wii remote to be used as an xbox controller. Cheers.
