Hello Everyone I'm new to the forum and I've having the hardest time figuring this out. Just bought a EPUP EP-9636FS-Pro "https://www.newegg.com/p/0XM-01CT-00017?Item=9SIAH19DBZ0769" from Newegg.com. I attached a screenshot of my computer specs for ease of typing. I currently use a USB Netgear A6210 with Netgear Drivers and a launcher. The unit in question doesn't seemed damaged at all and I tried reseating it twice now in the PCI x8 slot since my GTX 970 eats up space for install in the PCI x1. Installed recommended drivers from manufacturer and it worked for a split second then stop picking up networks all together. I went to intel downloaded their software that auto updates drivers and it found a newer driver for the ax200. After that it stop working all together. It won't show up under network adapters anymore. I tried disabling and reenabling when it was there but nothing seems to work. Is there a hardware requirement I'm just not meeting? My PSU is 800 Watts Gold. I wanna try and figure out what is going on before I return so I just don't bother with a replacement like Newegg recommends. If nothing works I will just have to wait until Netgear comes out with a PCI or usb card that supports wifi 6. Lastly I forgot to mention my BIOS should be up to date since I installed a new SSD. Scratching my head with this one. The fan works on the unit and the RGB lighting works too.

Need some help with this. Its my first build i do, and im having a problem with the m.2 slots. I have a asrock b450m pro4 motherboard, wich has two m.2 slots (one normal and other one ultra) and i a bought a intel ax200 wifi card wich is m.2, but for some fucking reason the little card its off by 2mm or 1mm in the m.2 slots of the motherboard, and i dont why the fuck is like that. I asked my dad (he's a electronics guy) and told me that the card has a conection thats not making contact with the conector and because of that the intel card has the 2mm or 1mm diference thats not letting it go in the m.2. So idk what the fuck is going on and thats why im making this post in hope that someone can help me with these. Here are some pictures of the mess.

Hi, I'm trying to find out what generation is my PCIe slot, currently occupied by the wifi card. I've checked the info for my laptop (hp15s1079eq with ryzen 4700u) but I found nothing on the internet. Here are 2 photos: photo 1) the pcie on the motherboard photo 2) an info I found on the device manager for the connection card (it translates to " specified version PCIe"), but I'm not sure that's what I was looking for. Hope some pro can give me a hand Thanks

Hi, I have a new computer that doesn't have a WIFI card. Does anyone have reccomendations my budget is £15 and I am based in the UK. It also doesn't have bluetooth but I am not bothered but if the card came with one that would be good. Thanks

so i was trying to find a solution for wifi for my pc but not a permenant one since i would use wifi only for a couple of weeks so i tried using thewifi card from my laptop. it was a weird m.2 rev 5-0 card. the standar was matching enough to get into my pcs m.2 slot. when i tried turning on the desctop though it sparked and the pc didnt opened i instantly closed the psu and removed the wifi card the pc works and the wifi card still fanctions on the laptop so i didnt destroy anything. during further inspection though one of my pcie pins on the m.2 slot i used is bended outwords ripted off the socet and i believe it was that pin that exploded causing the spark but i dont really know.

So, first and foremost it's been a while since I have been here so I hope y'all been doing ok. That aside, I was wondering what is better? Wifi usb v. Wifi PCI-E My initial thoughts on this are that I assumed that first and foremost PCI-E wifi cards are better because they are connected directly to the PCI-E bus and thus reducing communication overhead, and it's a hoop less in transporting TCP/UDP streams to my system. USB is great for quick convenience and can do the same thing but I find them to be... "decent" At least for the one I have it's an ARCHER (TP Link) AC 600. (USB) Other than what I had laid out here, are there other objective benefits to have a PCI-E wifi card over a USB wifi dongle? EDIT: Ok, I want to clarify what I mean by "a hoop less in transporting TCP/UDP streams to my system". What I mean is after transport, instead of the data going through the usb bus, then to the controller, then to pcie to the cpu. A direct path in otherwords. My bad!

So I bought an ax200 wifi 6 card. Here's a rundown of what happened. - Had to move GPU down to the 2nd x16 slot as it was blocking the other PCI-e slots, booted up to make sure it worked, it worked. - Powered down and plugged the wifi card into the only PCI-e x1 slot, powered the computer on, GPU doesn't even light up. - Moved wifi card the other PCI-e x16 slot, GPU lit up but no display out, powered down and removed wifi card, now it outputs. - Thought it might be me not plugging the usb header on the card into the motherboard, did that, no luck. I don't know what else to do and I'm giving up for the night and probably returning the card, I'm running a gigabyte b550m ds3h and this wifi card https://www.amazon.nl/gp/product/B08GSMJRY8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Any help is appreciated, whoever helps me fix this gets a smooch.

Hi, I recently acquired a rtx 3090 , and i wanted to enable resizable bar. But to enable resizable bar i had to disable CSM. Has soon as i did that, my wifi card (which was include in my asus tuf x570 plus gaming wifi motherboard) instantly stop working. I already tried to : use the troubleshooting tool of windows do a network reset update my wifi card driver entirely disable the wifi card, remove drivers, and doing the above steps again I know that it is not a good idea to use wifi, and that i have to use ethernet, but i am currently in a place with a crappy connection and the only thing that is working well is my 5G connection. For the moment I will use usb-c connection to share my connection but i would like to make my wifi work again. Thank you

Every now and then I browse Newegg for fun, with no intention of buy anything. In my search yesterday I discovered this: the Intel AX200 Gig+ Wi-Fi 6 Desktop Kit. Wi-Fi 6 in your PC for only $30 sounds like a bargain, but the card requires a Key A or Key E m.2 slot to function. In my supplemental research, I could find no motherboards with Key A or Key E m.2 slots and no adapters that go directly from PCIe 1x to Key A/E m.2. All of the adapters I found were mPCIe to Key A/E or Key M to Key A/E. This begs the question: who is this card for? It's an incredible value and not from a shady Chinese brand, but the prerequisite for a fairly rare motherboard connector or even rarer adapter means not many people can use it. What motherboards could actually use this card without adapters and what adapters would a prospective buyers have to buy to use it (without daisy chaining) if they don't have any Key A/E slots? EDIT: Most of this information is kinda irrelevant, scroll down for my reply with important information

Hey guys, i'm planning on building another PC to game in my bedroom and it's just a burnden to run the ethenet cable all the way up from my living room to my new pc. So I'm considering a wifi PCIe card. I'm looking at the TP-LINK ARCHER T4E - AC1200 WIRELESS DUAL BAND PCI EXPRESS ADAPTER which the price is very affordable for me considering the money that i have left from spending it all on my new build. Is the TP Link ac1200 good enough to game with? If not, what's other option that is affordable and does not rip my wallet apart? Thank you in advance guys!

Just wondering if anyone can offer advice on PCI wifi cards. There seems to be such a massive price difference between some cards and I have no clue what I need/what is worth the money. I'm not too far from my modem but I am on a different floor to it.

Hello inter-webs! I am having a serious networking issue on mu desktop. Here are my specs: i7-4790K Asus Maximous Hero 7 (DDR 3 version) 16GB of Ram Corsair AIO water cooler GTX 1080 Strix Windows 10 64Bit I have installed my PCE-AC 68 network card (I understand this is overkill for a dorm please save criticisms for later.) into 2 of the 3 PCIE lanes. There is power going to the card due to the blue light flashing in the back of my desktop. When I go to the control panel, under the look at network options I don't even see the card installed; even-though, I have already installed the drivers. I have already called Asus support they say to update the bios to most current one. Has anyone else experienced an issue like this before? If so how did you fix it?

**PLEASE DON'T SHOW IP ADDRESSES** Well, I kind of have look on the forum. But I don't see a section where you we can show off our internet speeds! I recommend that you use this layout so we all can see what you use! Wired or Wireless? What Cable? - Internet Provider? - How much you pay? U/D? - Speedtest.net results? Hi all, I want to post about a new wifi card I got today. The TP-Link AC 1300 Dual band PCIe adapter I got claimed very fast speeds, but it is only netting me about 500kb/s. My old USB wifi adapter is much faster than this new card. I have tried updating drivers and troubleshooting networks, but it did not work. Can someone please help me? Thank you.

Yo has any of you guys having the same problem as i do? I was having this idea of changing RAM on my notebook. But at the same time i thought 'hm i got this wifi card thats laying around, why not change it as well". After it is done, i tried to boot it up to no avail. Then later on, i redid all the work. I put the previous RAM & Wifi card back on. But still, my notebook was not booting up, Later on like a couple of hours of changing BIOS setting randomly without knowing what that does, - yea i know it's stupid - i reset the BIOS to default setting, then change it to Legacy mode. Somehow, it started booting operates as usual. But the main question is, why my wifi doesnt detect anything? When i tied personal hotspot using my phone connected via USB cable, the notebook detect the internet connection just fine. My question is, is this caused of my BIOS setting, legacy booting? or because of i detached my wifi card and reattached it again? because i miss something? like putting the wrong antenna cable on the wifi card, the black and white ones? but i read articles says that the cable doesnt really matter even if i put the wrong antennas cable on the card. Please help meh, is the unit - wificard - fixable? or should i buy new ones?

Hell I am fairly new to PC builds and I had a question regarding WiFi cards for PCs. I have a PC the MSI X99A SLI PLUS LGA 2011-v3 Intel X99 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.1 USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard. I was wondering if anyone here knows what type of WiFi card I can buy for my PC, (kind of confused by all the different ones there is). I've been running it on LAN (1 Gbit) because that's the only option I had, and it's probably the best thing to do anyway, but I would prefer a WiFi card since having a cable running across the living room to the router is not something my roommates are happy about. Thanks in advance. -Ana

Hello everyone! I am building my first PC in a couple weeks but I am stuck on what wifi adapter card to buy. I will mostly be using my PC for gaming. Also, I have kind of a tight budget so a card around 40$ would be best. Thanks for all your help!
