hi! i recently got a new case to my pc and trancfered all the old hardware to the new case. when i booted the pc in the new case i got an error. "windows wont boot". i resterted the computer and after that it said "no bootable harddrive". i have one ssd and one hard drive. the ssd has the windows 10 files on it so i figured it most be somthing with the ssd. i shecked the bootorder in my bios and the ssd didnt pop up. it only said i had a harddrive. i turned of the pc and tried to change sata cabel. nothing worked. then i realised that i had a bootable usb stick that i had lying around from another build. i putted that in and it said same error as the first time "WINDOWS WONT BOOT". I THENE got on my mac (the only working computer i got for the movement) i cleared the usb and then made it ready to download new windows 7 files to the usb flash drive from a mac so i could boot with new files. i have a old mac so i couldent do the windows 10 or 8 wearsion of windows so i realised that i gotta doawnload the windows 7 file and then upgrade it once on my pc to windows 10. i had to do a little bit off change in the code of boot assistant on mac to make it so i could make a bootable usb flash drive from a mac. i spent a lot of time trying to fix this ishu but when i thene go to kinguin to buy my windows oem key and thene put the windows oem key i got from kinuing to the microsoft iso download website it says that i need to wait and try again later. WTF IS THAT MICROSOFT SHIT. i only want a windows 7 iso file. pls help did i buy worng sort of key from kuinguin and do i need to buy another one? and also could my ssd be destroyed? are al my files gone from the ssd? this worries me. it also said that the front io conectors was a error and i dont know how to put theme in because my mother board is a dell one so dont say how to put theme in. it also said it was somthing wrong with but clearly the fans was spinning. pls pls pls i need help. i dont want to buy another key.

Hi Guys! For about 2 months now, I am having issues withy my W7 64 Bit computer. Recently it's getting a lot warmer than it used to be, and now it's getting slower. It's booting up fast, however, once it enters W7, it is slowing down and uses around 60% CPU when idling. As far as I can see, all drivers are up to date (Bios, GPU, et cetera). Here are the Specs: Windows 7 Ultimate 64Bit Intel I5 4960K Devil's Canyon Quad Core 3,5 GHz 32GB Corsair XMS3 (4x8GB) 240pin DDR3 SDRAM 1600 2x EVGA GTX 970 2GB Gaming w/ACX 2.0+ (with Medium SLI Bridge) MSI Z97S SLI PLUS Samsumg840 EVO SSD 500gb (With W7 installed) WD 2TB 7200RPM HDD EVGA SuperNova G1 650W 80+Gold 4x Corsair ML120 Fans Malware Antibytes and MSE found nothing, I've put the Intel Procesor Diagnostic Tool into a Burn-In test, and the first one was failed (Message was "Check Thermal Compound), however, a 2nd test passes just fine. Recently I had several event 43 errors with the old PSU (Seasonic 750W), but this ended after I installed the EVGA PSU. shortly after that, the new problems started. I have ordered new thermal compound and I am awaiting the arrival of it. Any suggestions?

Windows 10 update snuck up on me on a sleepy morning and I accidentally clicked "ok" on the update when it popped up on my screen afther I booted into w7. So it reserved space on my SSD for it. Tho I cancellec the download. Space is still lost, space is precious on my 120. How do I get rid of the reserved w10 spot on my SSD?

source: what Larry Hryb doesn't mention is where do you manually download the drivers ... I guess they're only available through Windows Update  --- might wonder why MicroSoft is doing this so suddenly ... my guess, it has to do with ValvE's STEAM Controller - MicroSoft sees it as a potential threat

Hello guys HERE is my rig hope it helps you somehow Short version: boot was fine taking around 13 seconds from bios screen to desktop then: Windows loads and takes 5 minutes to show logon screen asking for user pw started after installing nvidia graphics driver and realtek drivers uninstalling these drivers didnt solve the problem went nuclear and reinstalled windows which solved the problem just to find that it appeared again when i installed the same drivers again and again uninstalling these drivers even with revo uninstaller and cleaning registry didnt solve it. Long Version The problem is when we go from the windows loading screen to the windows welcome screen the part where is asks for your user password. The windows loading screen loads almost instantly takes like 5 seconds tops and then it goes black to make the transition to the welcome screen to log into your user, nothing wrong here except this blank period went from taking 1 second before installing drivers to take up to 5 minutes when I started installing the hardware drivers. Im going to walk you through how it exactly happened: I installed the latest Nvidia Graphic drivers 347.09 downloaded them from the nvidia website, then restarted the machine as suggested by the installer, when the pc turned back on the logon screen took 1 minute to appear after windows was obviously already done loading the screen was just blank for a minute, I didnt pay attention to this and logged into my user account to continue installing the remaining hardware drivers realtek audio was next, so i proceeded with this installation and restarted the pc again as suggested by the realtek audio driver installer, but this time windows loaded and then the screen went blank and stayed blank for 5 and a half minutes after which my logon screen appeared asking for my user password. I found this disturbingly long so i proceeded to uninstall the realtek driver and download a newone from the asus website I restarted before reinstalling but it was still taking over 5 minutes AFTER windows finished loading but BEFORE the logon screen I reinstalled the realtek driver and restarted but the problem persisted, I uninstalled the Nvidia drivers because well I didnt know what else to do it looked like for some reason when windows finishes loading its sending the video feed elsewhere instead of my screen, and 5 minutes later it realises thats not the screen and turns it back on so I thought it had something to do with my Nvidia Drivers, that and besides it went from 1 second to 1 minute after the nvidia installation so i figured that was the root of the problem, after reinstalling the nvidia drivers I restarted and it went back to 1 second delay, so I went to bed happy. The next day I turned on my pc just to find out it was again taking 5 minutes before the logon screen. I was incredibly frustrated so I went nuclear and reinstalled windows, completelly clean isntall, just to find out that it happened again exactly after isntalling the same drivers. I didnt know how else to proceed so i came here to see if anyone could help me out Any help is greatly appreciated. Edit: Already Tried This, Didnt solve it.

So i've just clicked onto what might be my problem. I've been having USB interal errors since i first posted my PC. I had an error with Samsung magician some time ago which caused more errors after this but i have since sorted this. Now i'm back to my original issue. The interal USB error. I have no idea how to diagnose it. However i've just realised. My BIOS only has a Window 8.1 options for boot. Therefore making me wonder if X99 is even compatible with Windows 7 and if it's actually the OS causing the issue. I'm installing Windows 10 next week either way so i suppose i'll find out if it is the OS but im wondering what everybody else think it might be. If there's actually an OS issue here or if it's actually an internal USB error. Although i don't understand why there would be. I have an NZXT Phantom with the external fan controller built into the case if that helps. Although i doubt that the NZXT fan controller would cause so many errors. A0, B4, 9C, A4 etc. errors.

Hello everyone. I have problems with chrome and firefox. They both make my nvidia drivers crash and then entire OS. I've tried multiple driver versions both beta and WHQL but nothing works. They usually crash at a new tab or a youtube video. I've disabled gpu accerelation and anything with GPUs but they still crash (plus without the gpu chrome is so slow). Also, Office 13 likes to crash my nvidia drivers and freeze PC. I disabled hardware acceleration, and it works so far. When the drivers crash or the OS, my computer freezes and my mouse disconnects (the LED turns off) but my keyboard does not (both connected via USB). It was happening both on my previous W7 and now on W8. If there's no cure for it, could you recommend me which nvidia drivers did not support browsers or which chrome version introducted gpu acceleration, so I could downgrade the drivers. my specs just in case: e8200 2.66@3.2 gts450 1gb ddr2 4gb dfi p35 blood iron 500w OCZ psu Note: I have some weird problem with my mobo, causing to crash entire PC when I unplug the S/PDIF port. I was told it might be something my my sound chip on the mobo. Does it have any relevance to this crashes? It worked just fine for few years as long as the cable is plugged in. Update: downgraded chrome to version 26 and nvidia to 301 but its still crashing. Not as often but still. The drivers crash like 5 times and only after some time they finally freeze everything. Installed nTune to manually increase fans speed (just in case) but it crashes right after I start the program. I have no idea what to do. (I copied it from 'software' section since no one answered me there yet)

My windows 7 PC is having a strange softlock scenario where only default windows programs will open and any other program will get stuck in the background as a running process and unable to even be killed with task manager. The PC is usable for 2 minutes where in that time you can get whatever you want to run, but then programs will do nothing while windows remains running and able to open default programs like windows explorer to browse files. The exception is chrome which will softlock crash and I can kill the process, but not open chrome again afterwards. There are no beeps to indicate a hardware problem, the pc doesn't shut down and component temperatures are well below maximum. GPU idles around 55c CPU idles around 30c Certain programs like my razer synapse updater will get stuck at 0% a game client I use for an online game stays at 0 also with no error message yet if it couldn't connect to the internet then it would tell me it can't connect. SPECS: MOBO: Gigabyte x79-UP4 REV 1.1 SKT 2011 RAM: Kingston HyperX 8GB 1600MHZ DDR3 2X4GB sticks GPU: XFX AMD Radeon Hd 6970 (stock clock) CPU: Intel i7 4820k (stock clock) PSU: Corsair TX 750W 80+ Gold OS: Windows 7 64bit
