Hey! For a few years now I've been having random BSODs on my PC, and recently I've decided to change some parts of the PC to check what could be the issue. The usuals BSODs I have are: -IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL (ntoskrnel.exe) -HYPERVISOR ERROR -PAGE FAULT IN NONPAGED AREA Clean reinstalled W10 few times and still having issues. Updated to W11 and still having those. Recently, apart from the BSODs, every game I play crashes without an error code, usually when playing around 10 minutes or so. I bought new RAM yesterday to see if that was the issue (even tho I ran a memtest on the old RAM and passed the tests). If it helps, my CPU (Ryzen 5 3600) had a few pins bent when my dad was trying to install it, but he straightened them all and I've been working with that CPU since then. What could be the issue for all of this? I'm really fed up with this problem. EDIT1: https://www.mediafire.com/file/738k8eaq81zaj63/Minidump.zip/file Minidump (just reinstalled W10 one hour ago, only had 1 BSOD since then)

*Link of the errors* ENGLISH is not my primary language, sorry for the mistakes. Recently, I received my new 3070TI and I was very excited to used it. I was so excited that when I tried to switch to my 1070 to the 3070TI, that I forgot to unclip the switch to make sure that the GPU was correctly plugged-in the motherboard (MB). However, after a few tried I notice that I made a mistake but I didn't see / notice any broken part or weird noise, so I continue and plugged my new toy. At first, there was a few display resolutions issues like my main screen showed with a resolution of 1600x900 instead of 1920*1080 (if I'm not wrong). I installed the new Nvidia drivers and then everything was fixed until the evening when a few display resolutions appeared again. The other day, I had the same problem, so I decided to switch off my computer, and to check if there was an issue on my MB. I saw nothing and when I decided to switch the computer on again, nothing showed, nothing on my main screen, the keyboard and mouse not working and not powering up. I decided to switch the DisplayPort from my GPU to my MB (Asus Z170 Pro gaming bios version1904). Nothing. I unplugged my 3070TI and switched back to my 1070 and the results were the same. Nothing. After that I decided to do a better cable management and switch the DRAM to the slots A1 & A2 to B1-B2 (G-SKILL DDR4 2133MHz) and I finally have access to my BIOS. However, there is still some issues, all my disks were corrupted and I reinstall W10 on my main disk (Kingston SV300S37A120G) on another old computer and it worked. I've plugged my W10 disk to my gaming computer and it was corrupted again. Despite all the efforts, it is at the moment I'm writing this, it is still impossible to have access to my computer to play video games and I can only the following errors: " (A7) Me FW Downgrade - Request MeSpiLock Failed" "CPU Over Temperature Error!" " The system found unauthorized changes on the firmware, operating system or UFI drivers, Press "OK" to run the next boot device, or enter directly to BIOS Setup if there are no other boot devices installed. Go to BIOS setup > Boot and change the current boot device in other secured boot devices" After seeing all these errors, I figured out that my MB and Bios was the issue. So I decided to setup my BIOS by default (F5 for my Asus Z170 Pro gaming), to install W10 directly to my main disk from my gaming computer but the CPU (Intel I7-6700 3.40GHz) with water cooling is heating very fast (from 40C to 80C (100F - 180F) in less than 5 minutes). With all of that, I unplugged the battery of my MB, wait 10 secs plugged in again, and my computer restarted 3-4x before having access to the BIOS menu again. I'm now trying to update the BIOS with a USB key of 32GO in FAT32 by doing the following step Advanced Mode> Tool> Ez Flash 3 Utility > USB > BIOS update (Asus Z170P 1904 and even tried with the V3801). I tried to update the bios by using the internet option but I can wait 1h and nothing is changing, except that I can have a new thing on the monitor checking the IPV6 & IPV5 (see in the link at the beginning). Also, my motherboard can detect my 1070 on the 1st and 2nd PCIEX but the 3070 doesn't show anywhere. Is my MB dead or is there a last solution ? Btw my powersuppply is a 750w silver Thank you very much. DevilDog

So, i have this system for 2 years now: ryzen 2600X, b450m pro m2, 16gb ddr4 3000mhz RAM (gskill), RX570, SSD(w10 is on a mp150 corsair, and 2 cheap ssd) and western digital green 2tb; and a few days ago i notice that the discord closed by himself, i minimized only, and i couldn't open it agian, i link a video with an example (in the video i close discord with task manager, but this happend after a minutes of open the program or a few seconds). From my experience (i study administration of system on net)i discard a possible hardware fail (i can play Tarkov, Astroneer, LOL with no crash), so NO CPU UNESTABILITY OR SIMILAR, no drivers problems (drive of rx570 was like 2 moths ago, but the others were not update, and didn't give me problem). The only new thing i did before the problems i had, was installing https://blitz.gg/, all the days before that was normal and working right, i had the w10 update from ¿2 weeks ago or a month?, so thats was probably the problem, and i tried to uninstall it and nothing change (so i dont think if that could made changes on the OS and disrupt somenthing??). I tried this line on the powershell, Get-AppxPackage | foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}, but this is more focus for w10 propietary apps (cortana, and thoes things), but it didn't work. I don't know whats happening, i can use discord web, but why MEGA destokp app (the cloud storage), or the amd radeon drivers appers to be on, why chrome works??, or BirtualVox works,... Ithink it's something about the apps that work or have some task in background, that crash. I don't know if this is a bug of my version of w10, w10 home 20H2 with the last update KB4592438, i had this w10 for 4 moths (i am trying to explain thats not the last w10 version, the one where control panel start to not have the same significance as the options), my PSVersion is 5.1.19041.610. Summary: programs in background or similar, don't start or work, i try to restart, uninstall, update,... Nothing work, but other apps work fine. Idon't know if i have expressed my self correctly, and sorry for my english or grammatical errors, i will chek this post tomorrow (its 2:30am), and i am on the LTT discord server.

So i went from a 970evo 256gb too a Kingston NV1 1tb NVMe drive, because i wanted more storage. I used a tool recommended by jayztwocents (AOMEI Personal) And cloned my windows disk. Installed the new ssd. And now my boot speeds are terrible. From the moment i press power on, until i see windows login screen it takes 62seoncs, and an additional 30seconds until im at the desktop and can start doing things. I have 3 drives installed, 2 nvme drives, both 1TB and a sata ssd 250gb. How can it be that the nv1 kingson drive is like 60seconds slower to boot than my 970evo? z390 phantom itx, 16gb 3600mhz ram, 9700k

In advance, i would like to apologize for my english What is my problem. Im not able to install any operating system on my PC. Already tried Win 10, 11 and Ubuntu Linux PC Details: AMD Ryzen 5900X G.SKILL 32GB KIT DDR4 3600MHz CL14 Trident Z Neo Seasonic Prime PX-850 - 850W ASUS ROG STRIX X570-E GAMING - AMD X570 Samsung SSD 980 PRO, M.2 - 1TB Fractal Design Define 7 Black - Dark TG Noctua NH-D15 chromax.black ROG Strix Asus RTX 3090 OC 24GB (O24G) What happened: I had my computer nearly two years. Upgraded bios half a year ago. Switched to W11 1/4 year back. When i switched to W11 i started to have blue screens. In the begining it was one blue screen, two times a week. This week it was already 5 blue screens every day... I decided that i will reinstall my windows. I was not able to finish instalation of W11. freezed every time after computer was running for 1-2 minutes or autorestarted (crashed) during the different parts of the instalation. Sometimes when files were being copied. Sometimes when i was naming my computer or trying to log into my microsoft account. I was never able to finish the instalation. Freeze ment i was not able to move my mouse or disable enable numlock key on my keyboard. crashed ment unexpected auto restart I was not able to finish instalation of W10. same behaviour I was not able to finish instalation of Ubuntu. same behavior I tried to install 6-7 different bios versions via USB flashback bios. No change I decided to unmount and mount my RAM and CPU. No change I tried it running with only one memory stick. With first No change. With second No change I tested my CPU and RAM in my friends computer. We tried benchmark for several minutes and everything was fine. So we though that CPU and RAMs are okay I bought new MB ASUS ROG STRIX B550-XE GAMING Wifi hoping that the problem is in MB. Did not help. Same problems. From now on all testing is happening on new MB Tried multiple Bios updates, no change I tried to run it with different GPU card. GTX960 borrowed from my friend confirmed it is working on his system, no change I started to suspect my SSD so i removed it from MB and tried to install OS on different SSD which i know is working connected via Sata 6. no change At this point i disconnected all front IO, front USB and Case fans headers from MB, left only CPU fan and i was starting my PC via screewdriver, no change Last resort. I tried connect 24 Pin and 8 pin for CPU from different PSU. jumped one PSU before and run this new PSU normaly and again, freeze during instalation. (I know, very sketchy, but i'm desperate) The other thing is that im not able to run computer with D.O.C.P (XMP) on both my Asus boards but i was able to run it on my friends MB. It will not start properly on Asus boards. Always started in safe mode with RAM 2488Mhz Im always able to enter my bios. Any ideas? Im starting to incline again towards the problem with CPU or RAM. Tomorrow Im running again to my friend to borrow his RAMs and try it with them. If you have any more questions, dont hesitate to ask. Im really struggling here...

So I'm planning on buying a new PCIe NVMe SSD for my PC which currently just has one traditional SSD for storage. My system has been getting a little buggy as of late so I've decided I want to also reset windows completely (including deleting all files), and this would ofc make sense to do now since I want the OS on the NVMe SSD anyway. I'd consider myself at least somewhat technically proficient but I do not have all that much experience in partitioning and disk/OS setup etc so I have a couple questions. First off how should I approach the windows installation process for the new drive? Can I just install it using the installation media I have from when I originally bought the license and can I still activate windows using the same key I've already technically used once? Also, at what point and how would I go about wiping the old SSD completely for use as a secondary drive? Would I just plug it into the new system and use a tool inside windows or what is the best approach?

I have a Samsung 850 Evo 1TB in my laptop with about 20TB written to it. It initially had Windows 8.1 on it until I upgraded it to Windows 10 in Fall 2015. I noticed that it's been acting up recently (File Explorer hangs & needs forced restarts, Windows UI is laggy and crashes File Explorer often). Should I reinstall Windows 10 again? Can I back up all of my drivers by manually copying the files from the C:\Windows\System32\drivers folder? Can I do something to back up certain programs instead of finding & reinstalling them all?

sauce: http://wccftech.com/amd-ryzen-performance-negatively-affected-windows-10-scheduler-bug/ there is currently an issue w/ the scheduler in windows 10 , as It sees all threads on Ryzen as cores it runs into issues , this might explain why the cpu seems to perform better in some applications when SMT is enabled to quote the article (I know its WCCF , but nobody else wrote an article about it and they said that its a thing on twitter , as seen in the picture)

The issue: Computer POSTs, goes into Windows Recovery and initially gets stuck on a loop after each reboot. No other options have been working thus far "startup repair" or "troubleshoot additional steps" etc... Additional information: -User bought this laptop for a hefty price when it came out (> $2,000!) and does not want to simply get a new $300-$400 web browsing laptop. -Initially came with Windows 7, has upgraded to Windows 10 (when it was free) and to my knowledge did not do a clean install from 7 to 10. (I think part of the error) -I still have yet to power this sucker up myself as I won't be home for at least another hour, but there is a possibility of viruses/malware? -User claims there may be a SSD (most likely boot drive) and a HDD within the laptop. My solution: As I don't want to tinker with it too much, the user has provided me with his laptop bag and external hard drive. He claims to have backed up "most" of his data but not up to lets say the last 2 weeks. None of it is crucial work data since it's his personal laptop. I will have to double check whether or not he made an image of his laptop or simply copied his personal files/data to the external drive. In the laptop bag there is a windows recovery disc with 4 other discs which I presume are to restore back to OEM state. Community input: What do you guys recommend I look at first? Help me brainstorm and I'll give any ideas a shot and update this thread as needed. I was also thinking my first step would be using my bootable linux USB and seeing if I can even access the SSD and HDD to verify that they are still readable. Thanks!

So guys, I'm finally getting an ssd, right now I use only a 500gb hard drive ( I don't need that much storage since I play just one game) But still I have quite a bit of software development tools and all that kind of jazz, Stuff that I wouldn't like to lose, So I'm getting the ssd and thus making an upgrade to windows 10 with it... My doubt is: Can I change the system folder from the hdd to the ssd with the standard w10 upgrade system? Without having to whipe my hard drive and lose everything?

Hi, I built this pc: NZXT 850w hale 90v2 Asus Z170-A Gskill 2x4 2800 Intel I7 6700K Evga 1070 FTW Hybrid WD Black 1TB Samsung 950 pro 256gb (Primary) So I decide to update from W7 Ultimate to W10 pro and the problems started, it's a weird error. My mobo have an Autodiagnostic tool, when something is wrong a led blinks. Sometimes when I turn on my pc it freezes in the Asus screen, and the boot device led blinks, but if I wait 10/15s it starts normally. This doesn't happened to me when I had W7. How can I fix this or is normal ? I'm worried for my ssd, when I used my WD Black like a primary disk with W10 it damaged the disk. I hate W10 have a loot of troubles but some good things, I don't know if I should back to W7. Thanks You!

Hi all, I have had windows 10 installed on my PC for well over a year and not had any problems, but today i was in file explorer with the page the size of the screen and tried to resize it to make it smaller. when I did this it redued to a very small size and began to flicker, and did not respond. after a little bit of time i could click the exit button but it did not respond for about 10 seconds and then it quit. as it closes everything on the screen disappears appart from my desktop background. It then goes back to normal. I have tried repeating this multiple times as well as turning off and restarting the system a couple of times. But no luck it still happens. Are there any suggestions people have to fix this? is this a known problem? Thanks in advance.

So My File Explorer is glitching out and making these strange black boxes and weird lines, its not affecting performance just the look of it and how I'm able to navigate through it. I am using some custom ico's as you can see. But this just started happening and I have been using these for weeks. Also If I restart the pc it seems to go away. I think the glitches get triggered when I connect my iPhone to my pc through usb. Any tips on what to do to stop this is much appreciated! <3

I bought a real product key for windows 10 home and I have had it on my pc fully installed activated and working fine. I decided for some reason to enter a windows 10 pro key from some website thinking maybe it would give me a free upgrade. Now I'm stuck with this. I just want my normal Win 10 Home with activation.

Looking to buy a laptop for basic work. Internet, basic word processing/presentation etc. Along with it being compact and easy to carry around. Normally i I would go straight to windows but all the laptops around the MacBook Air (bottom spec) is fairly compelling so i’d like some advice. Im leaning towards the MacBook for a few reasons: I can finance it for £100 a month for a year. I have an iPhone You get the programs i’d use for free I don’t need amazing performance, loads of storage etc that’s why I have a desktop I’m willing to learn MacOS On the other hand windows I can just pick up and learn and you are less restricted with ports but I really hate how it’s gone with office 365 especially when the Mac offers similar functionality built in. The main competitor on the windows side would be the surface laptop 2 and the LG Gram. Any other suggestions and advice? The only make I will categorically refuse to buy is Huawei.

Hello all, I've had a problem for quite some time and it has finally got on my last nerve, Since adding a NAS to my network (Western Digital My Cloud Home) for weekly backups my explorer has become very slow, laggy and crashing. The computer works fine, browsing my files works, transfers work (to a point), everything work. However if I click My computer (Windows key + E) to view all my drives the the problem shows 70% of the time. I have to wait forever for the drives to show, and while I wait explorer.exe freezes. It seems as if Windows 10 is having trouble finding the NAS and waits to find it before doing anything else. If I go to Z directly (using Windows key + R, then z:/) then all is good. Now the second problem is worse and why I'm here. If I am transferring files to the NAS then nothing I do will allow me to use Windows explorer. Doesn't matter if it's My computer, My documents, music and so on. It freezes the whole thing. I am thinking that it's the program that I use (Cobian Backup 11) and I'm wondering if anyone has used this program before. It works perfectly and does everything I need. Thank you in advance. TL;DR Freezes when seeking for the NAS, Freezes when doing back ups.

Hi. My PC was working fine until recently when I had to update to Windows 10 (from W7). I'm fairly sure this is not a hardware issue because of this. Now, when tell it to go to sleep the fans sound the same as when it's on, and my keyboard stays lit up, but the monitor goes blank. It seems to be half asleep for a while and then after a little while (30ish mins?) I realise the monitor has come back on. If I try to wake it up while it is still 'asleep' then it comes back on pretty much instantly, unlike it did when it was W7. Also, the Windows menu (that I clicked open previously to tell it to sleep) is open when it wakes. To me it doesn't really seem like it's going to sleep properly at all? Is this normal W10 behaviour? I've tried enabling and disabling hibernation. When I go to a cmd window and type power "cfg -lastwake" it says "Wake History Count - 0" I've always been able to fix issues with Windows waking itself up in the past but this is the first time I've been confused whether it's even asleep in the first place so it's more confusing to fix. I mentioned it to a tech support guy at my work (it's my home PC though) and he said Windows 10 sleep is different and not supposed to work as Windows 7's did... I just don't know. I was thinking of doing a fresh install of Windows (not that I really want to put time aside for this) to fix this, but based on what he's said my PC isn't even working incorrectly? But it definitely *feels* like it is to me. Thanks for any info.

I just built a new PC and I wanted to do a fresh install since my hard drive has some viruses. My original PC had Win 8.1 Pro before Win10 came out and I was deciding for about a week or so if I wanted to get Win10. I then said screw it I'm just gonna get it and use that free install. It updated to Win10 Home/Pro (as I had thought) of whichever version they where doing for the free upgrade. To now my PC doesn't have a CD drive so he said he has a Win10 Home on a USB and just use the code from yours it should work. Well I used Magic Jellybean to get my code and it said I had Windows 10 Enterprise and my code and all that. Well just installing it my code of course says it doesn't work, so I looked on activating it later and it says i have Windows 10 Pro. but when i use Jelly bean it says I have Enterprise and my CD key is the same, even though its a new hard drive and a USB windows so it has not been in contact with another hard drive. I did just recently sign into windows with my Microsoft account I have for Xbox but I wasn't sure if they would somehow give this PC an Enterprise Windows. if anyone can help with this I'd appreciate it.
