Country: USA So I have an old Razor Blade Stealth 12.5 that i was thinking of turning into a monitor, but then i remembered, this is also a touch screen. Is there a way to make a touch screen monitor from this or should I stick to just a normal monitor?

I have witnessed a horrible reality which is touch screen stopped working. I have purchased two laptops and touch screen of both have stopped working after the installation of windows. I am sure it is compatibility issue and have to do with firmware update. So, if you anyone can help me in this regard to solve this issue, it would be great for me.

Hello! I recently bought this controller board https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N5J57YP/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 for the b116xtn04 touch screen laptop display. It works fine however I am unable to use the touchscreen feature of this display. Does anyone know what I will need to do in order to use the touch screen feature? Feel free to ask any question and I will answer them to the best of my ability Thanks! Side note: I got this screen from my old Dell Inspiron 3137

I quite like the idea of being able to use a stylus/pen with my laptop, partly for drawing/writing and also to keep fingerprints on the screen to a minimum. I'm struggling to find any info on whether or not my screen supports the use of a stylus, as well as if there are any decent "universal" stylus' out there. Laptop is a HP Pavilion x360 u101-na. Anyone know much about using a stylus/pen with touchscreens? Thanks for any help and info in advance

Hey guys, so I am looking for a laptop for programming. Last week I just sold my surface book, I liked it, but I feel like a 13inch laptop is too small for programming. and my current alienware 15 is too heavy There is really no budget limit here but I hope it could be lower than 2000 bucks. I want a 15 inch (or 14?)laptop with good typing experience, the build quality should also be good, battery life around 4-5 hours. Is razer blade good for programming? I owned a xps 15 before , anyone knows when will the new version be released? THX

Hey guys... I am currently working on a home project (smart home device) and it requires a capacitive touch panel/overlay, not a whole screen, just touch overlay. IR touch panel is mainly out of the question because of its frame thickness. The size is minimum of 15 inches and then depending on the price. The only place i could find anything that fits the project is aliexpress and specifically this one looks really good: https://de.aliexpress.com/item/32810950239.html?spm=a2g0o.detail.100009.1.3f11afb9Bq5Xxc&gps-id=pcDetailLeftTopSell&scm=1007.13482.95643.0&scm_id=1007.13482.95643.0&scm-url=1007.13482.95643.0&pvid=8f48e067-912d-4c9e-a67e-ced87b2dcc6e Has anyone ordered similar things from aliexpress? Are they any good, well, do they work at least? Or maybe you know some other place where i can buy similar product? Thank you in advance

So I recently bought a raspberry pi with the official pi touchscreen display and was wondering if there were any pen stylus that worked with any display. It’d be nice to use it on my raspberry pi and phone/windows laptop .I’m looking for a stylus that’s much like Wacom pen or an apple pen with a fine tip to simulate the feel of an actual pen, any suggestions? thanks, cheers.

I took apart my Keurig 2.0 to do a little bit of work on it, but I managed to tear a ribbon cable model E309144 94V-0 CT-1 Does anyone know if it is possible to purchase parts for a 5 year old Keurig device, and where? I would really appreciate not having to purchase a brand new coffee maker if I can help it.

Hello everyone! I recently got funding to create a specialized pc for my work. The purpose of this computer is to run simulations using MatLab in real time while outputting to a GUI on a touch screen monitor. The computer needs to have a very small form factor and if possible a vesa mount to the case. It will only be used for this purpose and will not be running any other software or games. I will be building this computer myself so I wont need it to be assembled. If you know of any pre-assembled pc's that fit this then I'm open to suggestions. I've already taken a look at a few NUC's but they weren't quite what I had in mind. BUDGET : $1500 CAD this includes taxes and shipping. This also includes a touch screen monitor (will talk more about that below). My location is Vancouver, Canada. I will be ordering the parts at the end of this week. Aim : This PC will be running windows and Matlab exclusively. Matlab soaks up a huge amount of RAM during simulations and the speed of the calculations are directly dependent on the cpu processing speed/# of cores. In this case, more cores are better. Monitor : Preferably 1080x920 with a maximum size of 18" for ease of use. This monitor must be a touch screen. At most I'd want to spend $350 out of the budget on the monitor. (No other peripherals will be required) Computer: Small form factor is the goal here. Noise and looks are irrelevant. I understand my options are much more limited when it comes to small form factor builds which is why I am uncertain of what components to get. CPU- The case will need a decent cpu will a high clock speed or more cores. Overclocking will not be done. I have no preference between brands. GPU- The simulation In which I will be running is very cpu intensive so unloading the graphics processing to a gpu is necessary. The gpu doesnt need to be anything fancy it simply needs to be able to run the monitor. (The gpu may be upgraded later if how much gets plotted to the GUI changes). RAM - 16 or 32 gb of ram, speed is not an issue here but bulk capacity is necessary. PSU - Whatever fits HARDDRIVES - I do not need more than 150gb of memory and the speed of that memory is not super important. The system will only have Windows, Matlab , and a video capture program installed. WINDOWS - windows 10 is preferable. Does not need to be a pro version. CASE/MOTHERBOARD - Looking for a mIcro atx form case and motherboard. (edited) I think my difficulties in looking for the computer that I'm trying to build is really looking for a good case. The DR saber Sentry looks great however it's not out yet and I need this machine. Other pre-built SFF computers have been slightly under powered in the cpu side but again if there was one that I missed please let me know.

Hey all! So I'm beginning to plan to build a second PC. I have a quality gaming computer however I'm looking to build a second PC that can be connected to an HP touch screen monitor(1920X1080 with 1 VGA and 1 DVI-D single link input) while running windows 10 in tablet mode. I've had the touch screen for years and used to use windows 8 on a second computer that bricked itself recently. My goal isn't to game on this. My focus is high quality smooth video and music playback, 5.1 surround sound capability(something my main computer has a real problem with for some unknown reason), and enough horse power to do some lite multitasking(listening to music or youtube while using programs to control my various home automation gadgets). I don't need any peripherals, speakers or a monitor so I'm really just looking for some input on the tower. As far as budget I'd like to stay below $300 though as long as it's not much over that I can make it work. I also don't need any form of storage as I have an extra SSD and HDD salvaged from the bricked windows 8 PC. Main Questions Should I go with a cheap AMD chip to get the extra cores or would one of Intel's dual core Pentiums be a better CPU for the money? How much ram would a system like this require to run smoothly(I'm assuming 4 or 8 gigs of non performance ram would do the job)? Will on board graphics be good enough for such an endeavor or should I plan on buying a graphics card as well? Should I plan on buying a USB amp to enable 5.1 surround sound? I apologize if any of these seem like rather silly questions. I'm actually a software engineer but due to a physical limitation(I'm legally blind) hardware is the most challenging thing for me to work on so I haven't made it a priority to know in detail.

Alright, I'll be honest I'm pretty skeptical about find a driver board that will work with this. I took the screen out of an old windows tablet and I'd like to be able to use it again. The screen is obviously touch-screen. Here's a picture of it. If you cant read the labels, I'll have them listed at the bottom. If you can fins a driver board or have any suggestions, they'd be much appreciated. Thanks for the help, Peter. InnoLux HJ101IA-01F BTC 120143Y4003D 4HSQ43VE11111110008L9C

Does any one know of any reasonable quality but cheap touchscreens that can be used with the Raspberry Pi 2 B. They don't need to be large (something around 4 inches diagonal should be sufficient) since they will be used as a thermostat interface. A Canadian dealer would be preferable.

I have twelve touch screen monitors. I keep having an issue where when I tap on a monitor that isn't my main display it will only show the cursor on the main display. So the only monitor that I can actually click on is the main display. This wasn't always the case though. When if had a fresh install of windows 8 there was no issue. I could point and use the touchscreens on any of the monitors. BTW i can use a normal mouse just fine on all of the monitors. (could this be because of display fusion and spanning a wallpaper over all the monitors?)

My google-fu has failed me on this one, and I don't really have any experience with touch screen machines Not my computer but apparently what happened is shortly after upgrading to windows 10 her touch screen on the laptop stopped acting like it normally would in browsers, with swipe scrolling and pinch zooming and such, instead just mimicking a mouse cursor. Tried it out and indeed it just puts a mouse cursor wherever you touch and none of the normal features seem to function. Is this a windows 10 issue or did she just accidentally disable something somewhere? Does anyone know of any features in the options that could disable or enable this?

I was thinking about the next laptop that I might get in the next couple of years and was wondering if there was a laptop out there that has some of the features from both the Microsoft Surface and the Lenovo Yoga 3. The main thing I like from the Surface is the touch screen stylus. It seems to be very accurate and usable for note taking. Aside from that, there isn't much that I would prefer with the Surface over the Yoga. The Yoga's rotatable build seems to be the ideal form factor for touch screen laptops to me. Having the accurate stylus in conjunction with this would be perfect. There are some things that I don't like about the Yoga though: Max 8GB RAM 3200 x 1800 13.3" screen seems like it would be bad with Windows scaling Missing function keys So is there a device out there that combines the feature of the Yoga and the Surface's stylus? I guess I was also just curious about other peoples thoughts on all in one devices like these. Seems like they would be perfect for school. I'm slightly tired of my laptops 2 hour battery and large charging brick.
