hi, i want to build a pc with 13400f and 6650xt and i'm using a mATX mobo. i'm confused about the case. h5 flow vs 4000d airflow. i saw a post here where cpu & gpu temps were given with stock fans and 2 fans in h5 flow& stock fans in 4000d. but there wasn't the temp in 4000d with fans. i will use sickleflow 120 argb fans. 3 fans(2-front,1-rear) in h5 flow & 4fans(3-front,1-rear) in 4000d airflow. please suggest which scenario will be better. and h5 has a 3.2 gen2 type c for with will be useful for my external diy ssd with 3.2 gen2 port where 4000d has3.1gen2. but this is nit the deciding factor. temp and performence is the main focus.

So I have an HP ProBook 4540s that I had replaced the HDD with an Kingston sa400s37480g SSD. It was working fine until I recently notice some odd performance issues, so I investigated with Crystal disk mark. The read speeds are perfect, around the ~550MB/s mark. But the write speeds are ~20MB/s, much lower than a hard disk. And as far as thermals go, they seem to be OK when the system is idle at ~35C, but peaks strait to 50C and eventually gets to 55C. And as far as I know SSD can get hot but this hot to cause performance issues? Other than that, I checked and verified that the Laptop SATA was operating as SATA 6G and in ACHI mode, so I'm out of ideas..

What is the highest temperature that I can game on that is safe? Max temperature on Furmark is 72-73C and 78-80C at full load. And is 78-80C safe at full load? Specs: Core i5-9400F Zotac RTX 3060

Hi, Which temp sensor to consider from the attached? Cores temps in the 60s but other sensors report higher temps? temps after 20 minutes of stress test on Aida64 PBO + 200 thanks

Hi, I just newly got a RTX card and I'm playing Minecraft with RTX, Gpu temps were 47c ~50c at 80% load which was really nice I was really enjoying until: A normal day I boot up pc and do the same thing, no drivers updated, no settings changed, no overclocks, GPU temp goes STRAIGHT 56c up to 65c (while doing some complex stuff like underwater) I know I know 65c is good, but imagine I had 50c!!!!! WHY GOD, I just want those temps back anyone knows why this happens?

I just built the system and I have tweaked every setting possible to land at the following temperatures in the NR200P max with the default 280 AIO. The closest comparable AIO to this in the market would be the ML280 from cooler master. My current setting are: PBO is set to advance. PPT 165 TDC 116 EDC 130 Curve optimizer set to per core: -30 on all cores except the two performance cores selected by the OS, those are on -10. Voltage offset of -0.05625 With these settings, I get an all-core boost to 4.5 GHz and 4.85 GHz on a single core. It is not the performance I am concerned with at this moment, but rather the temperatures. Seeing as a 280 AIO would take some time before the water in the loop is heated up and the temperatures being to spike, I am concerned for my setup as I see very frequent temperature spikes and the temperature finally settles at around 88 C. This would not be bad if I had the cooler taking air from within the case however, I have changed the radiator fans to intake cool air from the top. For a CPU consuming 170 Watts at full tilt, seeing 88 C from a 280 AIO is very disappointing. I have tried remounting the cooler several times with no improvement whatsoever. And from doing this so many times, I have noticed that the mounting pressure is not even on the CPU block even when I gradually tighten the screws. The paste always looks like it gets squeezed out from the middle and accumulates on the sides. I am out of all ideas and I would appreciate any help I can get on this.

Hello everyone, I recently finished* my first ever build. I'm running an i7 6700k at 4.2gHz, z170A motherboard, 16GB Ram, 1T SSD, Hyper 212 Cooler - all within a CoolerMaster HAF X case (It's like having a min-fridge on my desk). However, I noticed that running what would be my most basic workload (Spotify, Chrome, and Steam open but no games playing) that the cpu was running at 29C, which seemed rather high to me. I'm worried that it is going to run too hot when I start gaming. I'm thinking that maybe the CPU cooler isn't sitting properly? Thanks! Andrew *I'm still saving up for a gtx1070, bigger SSD, and a better monitor than the one I found in the basement. The most "demanding" game that I can run to test is Minecraft or Hearts of Iron. ~Attached is a screenshot while running Spotify, Chrome (several open tabs), Steam open, and Minecraft at the highest settings. I chose these programs since I don't have any really demanding applications installed yet.

Here's my setup. ASUS Crosshair VI Hero AMD Ryzen 7 1800X Corsair Vengeance Low Profile set to 2666MHz Cooler: Noctua NH D15 When I clock my 1800X from anything from Stock to 3.9GHz every tells me my temps are 15°~25° C Idle, Ryzen Master, HWMonitor, and they say my load temps max out around 35°~ C Now... when I set my OC to 4.0GHz reported temps are WAY higher. Everything is telling me Idle temps are between 50°~60° C and Load temps are around 75°~ C Huh, the delta temp seems to be consistent though...

Hello guys, I've heard that the higher your coolant is, the faster it evaporates through your tubes. Now I know it's gonna dry out in like 3 years and it's not urgent but how hot would you say I should allow my fluid to be? I have a corsair H100i V2 and I live in a hot place but winter is coming and should bring liquid temps down but about 4 C, however there can be hot days at any time of the year and the fluid will get to those temps if I don't run the fans at 2000 rpm which is too loud for my liking. The max I ever saw was 40 C and some change. Would you consider this too hot? I will ofc sacrifice my ears for some more AIO lifetime. Thanks for answers

Hello folks, I seem to have a problem "could be normal" When I turn on my Witcher 3 game on ultra setting and play for a bit that temprature on my GPU stays on 84c. Is that normal? keep in mind that my GPU is founder edition EVGA so i didn't expect great cooling. My case fan setting is set to positive. 3 120 fans for intake and 1 140 fan for outtake from the back.

I have i7-6700k OC'd to 4.6 ghz and at idle its around 30 and full load its 65 degrees celsius is that normal or should i worry

I just bought a MSI X58 Pro-E and a Xeon X5650 on Ebay and overclocked my Xeon X5650 to 3,8GHz (might try to reach 4GHz at some point) and the CPU temps are alright, but i just noticed that the IOH temprature of the mainboard is petty high (up to 112°C/233°F). Is this temprature alright or should I replace the thermal paste under the chipset and VRM heatsink and even add a small fan to the mainboard if it is not enough?

i Get 80-90C GPU temp when gaming. Is this normal? I was playing a game from 2012. I have a gtx 550 ti. I just bought a gtx 550 ti recently and just need a bit of help getting started. Also I have MSI Afterburner if I can for anything with that to help. If getting 90c is a problem then should i decrease clock speeds and memory clock speeds to improve temps? Sorry if I said anything incorrectly because I am a beginner. Thanks for reading!

Alright, i got a new system built yesterday i have a 6700k + Asus z170 Gaming aura+ H80i... system is up and running. but my Temperatures are crazy.. my idle temps are 20-25c which is alright.. but all of a sudden while browsing chrome they would spike up to 55-60 for a second and back down to 25c.. At first i didnt think much of it but then i started playing overwatch i noticed my temps were fluctuating between 45-75c So i try to run a more CPU demanding game like BF1 and The division and i notice the temps to act similarly but between 45c and 80c! at some point it spiked from 55c to 85c for 1 second... Temperatures are never consistent a second its 45c another its 70c another its 55c another its 80c.. could it be false reading? i tried using real temp,HWinfo , Corsair link I want to Overclock this CPU but obviously its not doable like this. I tried reapplying thermal paste over 5 times with same results.. now could it be my chip? *i was using this H80i with an 4690k just 3 days ago and overclocked to 4.4Ghz and never reached over 70c Thanks for your help!

Hello, I was playing PUBG (PC emulator edition) when my GPU temperature has reached to 83 °C and the fan speed was 10%, so i quickly opened Sapphire Trixx app since my fan curve doesn't work unless the app is running. The temperature went down to 40-45 °C quickly as the fan speed was 20-30% and stayed there for the rest of the match. It was weird since i know that game doesn't use the GPU that much and my fan was at low speed too. I mean the default fan curve wouldn't let the GPU reach 80 °C before increasing the fan speed. The GPU temperature is between 58 and 68 during intense games such as Witcher 3, NFS Payback, Rise of Tomb Raider using the custom fan curve. so i doubt any overheating issues. Is the default fan curve somehow bugged? GPU: Sapphire Nitro+ RX 580 8GB (Dual-Fans) I got one fan in the back of the case (Cougar MX310) and the AC is on (21 °C)

Hey guys, this is my first post here. I have a Corsair Carbide 200R case with the two standard fans and I have an AMD FX 8320 and a PCI-X Palit Nvidia GTX 660 2GB graphics card and now during the summer my pc regularly stops working, it shuts down by itself when I am playing just FIFA 18 for example... I downloaded a cpu temp programm and I even reached 86 temp while playing and I guess that when it hits 90 it turns off automatically. So do you guys have any idea on how to get the temps down? I thought about putting some extra fans...I also cleaned my computer from the dust and it has not shut down since then...Thank you in advance!

I used to play witcher 3 at 40 FPS at almost High to Ultra settings at avg 35 fps on my GT 1030, at a temperature of 63C on an avg. Its been a month and today i noticed that the temprature is touching 70 but the framerate is same like before. On a website stress test results said that temp never exceeded 66 or 67. So whats wrong with mine. Should i get an extra fan, as my PC is working without any except the stock intel one on CPU and the inbuild GPU fan. Max thermal temps as provided by Nvidia are 97C. My specs: Intel G4560 Gigabyte Geforce GT 1030 8 gigs ddr4 Website link http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/nvidia-geforce-gt-1030-2gb,5110-10.html Thanx in advance.

After messing in afterburner a bit too much, I realised after I rebooted that my FPS was garbage. Even in pretty light games like KSP, I got 12 FPS max at low settings (It could run GTA V on ultra with 2xMXAA at 30 FPS before). After I opened up furmark, I figured out the temps wouldn´t go past 34°C and I got 8 FPS (Could run on 45 FPS before). If anyone knows a way to fix this, I would be thankfull (ULPS is disabled btw)

I ran this benchmark using the NiceHash software for mining cryptocurrency, and this what showed on my screen after a couple minutes. I'm using a GeForce GTX 1080 Ti from Asus (Strix) on stock speeds. The GPU's temprature was about 62 Celsius. Can someone explain what does this mean? Thanks !!

I just built my first PC everything seems to be working fine, But my Asus Radeon R9 390 8GB Strix Video Card seems to be running hotter then average. (It's not overclockable or anything like that so I dunno why its so hot.) 60~ on idle. (blank desktop or browsing internet on how to reduce GPU heat etc) 70~ When just watching a youtube video. 80-90 When playing games, (Ex:Far cry primal, Lichdom battle mage, Injustice gods among us, Warhammer Dawn of war 1 & 2, Doom open beta, HItman) pretty much any game I've tried. The reason I choose a "Strix" video card was because it was meant to be "30% Cooler. 0dB Gaming" meaning if I hadn't got the "30% cooler" and got another graphics card I would be running at 86 idle, 100 while watching youtube and 115-130 while gaming? That doesn't seem right. The 60~ idle I'm not so worried about and I don' think neither is the 70~ while watching youtube is a huge problem but 80-90 while playing any game (changing to the lowest settings in game doesn't seem to effect anything) concerns me not that it will blow up or start a fire or anything just that it will harm the lifespan of my GPU because a lot of posts I've read said to be concerns when it gets to 90 and gets pretty close to that consistently and the reason I bring up the idle and youtube temperatures because of the fact that it's higher then average seems to have some relation to the issue. (Not just higher while gaming but higher in general) I opened up both sides of my case and it didn't really effect the temp (maybe few degrees) so I don't think it's a air flow issue. (Fairly spacious case with two 120mm fans with the intake blowing basically onto the graphics card) I have setup a MSI afterburner custom fan setting to play at cooler temps which cools down about 10degrees but fans are pretty load and fast which I don't think is healthy for the lifespan either.. Is it like a option somewhere that's making it run hot that I can adjust or something like are there tips and tricks to make GPU's run cooler in general by disabling/enabling things? The "Clocks" seem high I have no idea what they are or do but there always at 1050/1500 idk if that's normal? (Even if they seem obvious tips to you, I know next to nothing about GPU cooling since this is my first build) Any help at all would be appreciated.
