Hey guys, I recently purchased a EVGA geforce gtx 1070 superclocked 6173 but when I got it in the mail it was a FTW 6276. I was wondering if this was better or should I get it changed for the superclocked?

Hey guys, I've got a question regarding overclocked GPUs and, well, I don't understand jack about overclocking other than it boosts performance. And I know that I definitely want a 1080 for this build. I was suggested an EVGA 1080 SC2 for my new build I'm putting together, but I'm shaky when overclocking comes into play. I do not plan on overclocking anything about my build until a time in the future when I'm confident enough to do so; so naturally the mention of the suggested "superclocked" GPU threw me for a loop. I was originally going to get a Gigabyte 1080, but was advised otherwise into an EVGA due to their superior customer service, heat management of the GPU, and general quality of the GPU. Sounds good to me, I'm willing to pay a bit more for something better. But, what do you guys think? I know nothing of overclocking and it's benefits/drawbacks versus not overclocking. Is it worth purchasing the overclocked-out-of-the-box version of the 1080, or should I purchase the non-overclocked one for my own peace of mind? Either way, a 1080 is a massive upgrade for me. And I say "peace of mind" because I always have associated overclocking with shortening the lifespan of a component and generating more heat, and I'd generally like to keep the lifespan at a maximum, and heat generation at a minimum. For reference, if needed, my build is the following: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/gdCFQV Thanks guys!

I just bought this (new to me) evga gtx 1070 8gb sc and I didn’t have the right power supply so I couldn’t use it but I opened it up and saw almost water damage looking print around parts of the gpu but it feels smooth and a bit sticky at the same time. I tested it before purchasing it but I’m wondering if it’s fine or if there’s something wrong with it

I'm undecided between this two: https://www.globaldata.pt/shop/placas-graficas/pcie/asus_-evga-geforce_gtx_1070-geforce_gtx_1070_ti.html?price=496-512 I like the color scheme of the Asus one, it would look better on my build, but on the downside it doesn't have backplate and it's not the OC version. I never owned a EVGA card. My Zalman Z11 Plus case has a 290mm limit so the Strix cards are out of question. My MSI GTX 770 gaming died with only 4 years of soft usage. The Asus Expedition says it's built for durability, is it worth going for that?

I have been looking around on the internet and trying to figure out how much I should sell my 2 Nvidia GTX 780's for..... one is a PNY with the reference cooler, and the other is an EVGA superclocked. They are pretty much brand new, maybe about 24 hours total on the cards all together. I wish I could have used them more but things happend (personal) and I just kinda shut down on it all.... But I've moved on and am much better now, I ended up getting a Gaming Laptop that works just fine, Asus ROG, 970M, 32GB RAM, 500GB SSD boot, 1TB SSHD. I can play pretty much anything on it on full settings and I have just not gotten back to using the desktop. But looking around there is so many out there that range from a little to CRAZY expensive! I'm just looking for a ballpark of what people would think is reasonable to pay..... If anyone could help it would be much appreciated.

Amazon: http://geni.us/feK7 With a beefed up cooler and a factory overclock, EVGA's Superclocked GTX 1070 seems like a fantastic upgrade from the Founder's Edition. But is it?

Whats the difference beetween Superclocked card and Regular ? ( Is superclocked card worth it ) I heard that Superclocked cards are coming already overclocked from the factory but cant you make just regular cards supercloked by yourself ? ( Like instead of factory overclock it for you ... just doing it by yourself ) Witch one of those is best option: - http://www.amazon.de/EVGA-GeForce-Superclocked-Reference-DDR5/dp/B00YMI9S9A/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1436209688&sr=8-1&keywords=980ti - http://www.amazon.de/EVGA-06G-P4-4995-KR-Superclocked-Grafikkarte-Speicher/dp/B00YNEHXY0/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1436209688&sr=8-3&keywords=980ti - http://www.amazon.de/GIGABYTE-GeForce-980TI-GAMING-DVI-I/dp/B00ZCZA3C8/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1436209688&sr=8-4&keywords=980ti - http://www.amazon.de/MSI-GeForce-GTX-980TI-GAMING/dp/B00ZPEAFXI/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&qid=1436209688&sr=8-9&keywords=980ti Regards Redjo

I've been meaning to buy a GTX 970 but which one should be best for price/performance ?

Ok so i was looking around for non-reference 980's because i would like to find the best one for me. I was looking at 2 cards; the Asus Strix 980 and the EVGA Superclocked ACX 2.0. Now i was looking at these cards and found that the Evga card has a faster core clock rate and a lot faster boost clock rate. Now obviously it says superclocked in the title of the Evga card but i was wondering if someone could tell me exactly how evga got the card to get the clock rates that high? Because all i want to know is did they just overclock the card a little bit and say that their fans make it cool enough for it to be that high or are the fans actually keeping it that cool. Because i will be overclocking my card i want to be able to overclock it a lot and i would like the core clock rate to be as high as possible but if they just overclocked it a bit, saved the settings, and put it in a box than ship it to you than i dont want this card because i know how to overclock it myself. I am looking for a card that is untouched but has the highest clock rate. If you could please explain what they did to the card than that would be great, and also tell me what you think about the Asus card and the Evga card. Also tell me what you think is the best one/has the coolest temp./has the highest clock rate/highest overclocked rate. Thank you

I currently use an EVGA GTX 770 w/ ACX and am considering doing some SLI. The trouble is, when searching for my card on Amazon, Ebay, NCIX, NewEgg, etc.; I only yield results for EVGA GTX 770 SC w/ ACX. Is it a bad idea to throw a Superclocked and a non-SuperClocked into SLI together? System: MSI Z87-GD65 Motherboard i5 4670k 8GB DDR3 1600Mhz RAM Corsair TX850M Power Supply EVGA GTX 770 w/ ACX

I'm planning on getting a GTX 980 with a Full Cover Waterblock (physical based from EKWB). However I'm unsure what to choose as a base 980. For example the EVGA series has the Superclocked, ACX2.0 and Superclocked ACX2.0. The only difference between all of them is the base clockspeed and boost speeds (and ofcourse the way of cooling, which insn't really significant if you replace them with a waterblock). So my guestion is: What is the impact of higher base clockspeeds when you replace the coolers with a waterblock? Cheers, Gonzo

Hi! So my GTX 970 SC ACX 2.0 came in the mail a few days ago along with all my other new parts. After building it I've gotten multiple issues. Here's a quick list. -When running games, the display drivers crash if I'm not enabling vsync. I will be running something like CS:GO at 60frames but it will crash IMMEDIATELY as i disable it. -Performance seems no different in using Photoshop or After Effects from my old APU, so I believe my GPU just isn't trying as it is always at something like 30% usage. Attempts I've done to solve the problem -Update BIOS -Update ALL drivers -Underclock the GPU by 10, and even 40MHz -Turned the fans to 40% constant STILL NOTHING But what I have noticed is that my MSI Afterburner is recognizing a possible second GPU? In its Hardware Monitor, i see that it says I have another GPU isntalled at 100% VID usage and usage? Could this mean anything? So I've never overclocked before so I figured I might as well give it a shot on my GTX 660 Superclocked edition from EVGA. So after reading a couple blog/forum posts I gave it a shot. Now I've finished but I'm not to sure whether or not I've done it all that safely. I have avoided changing the BIOS on it since I don't want to screw anything up since I have plans on using this card w/ an additional gtx 660 sc (in SLI) in a future build. Anyway here is what I've done so far: http://imgur.com/yqfMuY9 Since it was my first time OC'ing anything before I figured I'd come here and ask some of the LTT community on how I have done and if I have mucked anything up that should be changed.

ok, so I have some questions for you chaps. I wanted to get the EVGA 970 FTW gfx card. I waited for this card for quite a while. However, its out of stock, I'm 29th in queue and they're not likely to restock it again for a couple of weeks. There's an EVGA 970 Superclocked gfx card which is the model down from the FTW card. The spec differences are; EVGA GeForce GTX 970 FTW ACX 2.0 (newer ACX cooler than the superclocked version) 1216MHz Base Clock 1367MHz Boost Clock 126GT/s Texture Fill Rate 4096MB GDDR5 Memory 7010MHz Memory Clock 224.3GB/s Memory Bandwidth 3 custom BIOSes EVGA GeForce GTX 970 Superclocked ACX 2.0 1165MHz Base Clock 1317MHz Boost Clock 121GT/s Texture Fill Rate 4096MB GDDR5 Memory 7010MHz Memory Clock 224.3GB/s Memory Bandwidth The FTW version is £299 and the Superclocked version is £276 (from two sites that I have pre-orders with) Do I wait for the card I want (FTW) and pay a little more (although uncertain how long) and get more power, triple BIOS supporting and EVGA's flagship card or do I go for a slightly slower Superclocked version, that's a bit cheaper but is known for having a slightly less performing ACX cooler? I don't really want suggestions for other cards, as I'm going for either one of these cards but I'm torn on whether I should stick to my guns and wait or just go for a cheaper deal and get the SC version. Thoughts? Cheers.

So... from my last topic I basically got an overwhelming decision of 25ish for the ACX and 0 for the reference model. Based on performance. But what about SLI? Specifically 2-way SLI, wouldn't two of the ACX throw heat everywhere inside the case? Where as 2 ref models would both exhaust the heat out the case Thoughts?

Hey guys, I'm about to update my GPU to a GTX 770. ..But i'm torn between two options: Option A: EVGA GTX 770 Superclocked w/ ACX Cooler 2GB GDDR5 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130921 Price (Hong Kong) ==> 330 € Euros / 430$ USD Option B Inno3D GTX 770 OC w/ TITAN Cooler 2GB GDDR5 http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-015-IN Same Price ==> 330 € Euros / 430$ USD Or... the AMD Option (7970)

Hi. I'm building my first PC and I'm a bit of a noob. I've decided to use a GTX 750 Ti for my graphics card and I was wondering which GTX 750 Ti I should purchase. I'm also not sure if I should use the base-line model or pay extra for the "superclocked" edition. I apologise for my "nooby-ness" as I'm new to this scene. All help is greatly appreciated - Thanks

Could somebody please tell me the difference between these two cards: EVGA SuperClocked w/ ACX Cooling 02G-P4-2774-KR GeForce GTX 770 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 SLI Support Video Card EVGA GeForce GTX 770 DUAL SuperClocked 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 SLI Support w/ EVGA ACX Cooler Video Card 02G-P4-2776-KR The only difference i can see is that one has "DUAL" in the name, and has the EVGA symbols on the fans. Other than that, the specs seem the same. Planning on buying one or the other TONIGHT, but i want to know the difference first! Thanks

Hi guys, New to the forum! I will be building a new rig soon in a 900D. I'm set on 780 SLI, on an EVGA Dark motherboard (EVGA fanboy - just a little...) but the question is which version of the 780 to go for? I love the Geforce GTX Green Logo on the standard cards (which is why I want the 780 SCs') - AND my build was going to be green in colour scheme - BUT I also love the look and performance of the Classifieds. Also the 900D is a BIG case and I think the Classifieds will "fill" the case a little bit more, as they are larger cards. But I just don't know - I'm really torn between the two choices. These two are the only versions of the cards that I want - I don't want the Lightning for example, nor anything else. What would you guys do? Thanks a lot for your time.

Todays review is of the EVGA NVIDIA GTX 770 SuperClocked. This graphics card is one of 700 series of cards, of which the TItan also resides. I'd like to start with aesthetics for once, because in my opinion, this card is a looker. It's a shame graphics cards are plugged in with the back visible, because this wouldn't look out of place in a Steampunk build. It also goes very well with most of the Haswell motherboards, as they also use a gold/copper and dark metal look. This card's cooler, the ACX Cooler, is absolutely FANTASTIC. I've done a lot of tests with this and a friends non-ACX cooler, and have found that the temperature goes down by around 10ºC with the ACX. This card, on max load, is getting to about 60 on a cold day, and 69 (hey-hey!) on a hot day, (you can find what kind of cooling setup I use, along with what case I use, in my signature, for rig one) and when I say Max Load, I mean the MSI Kombustor, so it was literally 100%. I also found this is a tad quieter (I don't have a dB monitor, sorry) than the default 770, perhaps because the two fans have to spin slower. I've done a tad bit of benchmarking, and here are the results. DirectX 11 tessellation performance Heaven 4.0: Frames per second: Higher is better EVGA GTX 770 SC: 26 NVIDIA GTX 770: 24.9 DirectX 11 gaming performance Crysis 3: Frames per second: Higher is better EVGA GTX 770 SC: 31 NVIDIA GTX 770: 29 ACX cooling performance 100% GPU load: Degrees centigrade: Lower is better EVGA GTX 770 SC: 69 NVIDIA GTX 770: 79 So whilst this card does not truly offer much better performance than the standard 770, I still recommend you buy it because of the cooler. And it has EVGA's fantastic warranty. I'm giving this card 90% score, simply because of the minimal performance boost. Thank you for reading, sorry for rambling, and I hope you have a nice day/night/evening!
