I've had my ROG Strix G18 laptop for almost a year now and I have been experiencing stuttering in almost every game I play. I recently installed 64GB of ram compared to the 16GB it came with and a 2TB SSD in addition to the original it came with giving it 3TB of storage along with the Nvidia 4080 Laptop GPU and the Intel Core i9-13980HX processor. So why am i stuttering in games? my greatest suspicion is my background processes. At any given moment there re at least 150 background processes running and usually over 100 Windows processes. I have done ample research about ways of reducing this but they all seem sketchy one way or another. Id like to hear advice on solutions to background processes or other causes that could be resulting in performance decreases.

Hi all! Im dealing with a very annoying issue at the moment. Out of nowhere, I can't play some games anymore because when I do, the RAM usage skyrockets to 100% which causes massive frame drops and makes the games unplayable. This problem started occurring out of nowhere and I have no idea how to fix this. I've tried to lower the in-game settings to the absolute lowest but even then, the RAM usage is 100% so I think there is something more happening here. I've already tried to monitor which processes use the RAM, but it is just the game that just keeps using more and more to the point of almost crashing. The specs of my PC are an AMD Radeon 7800XT, Ryzen 5 5800X3D, 16Gb DDR4 3200MHz RAM, B450 Tomahawk Max. Does anyone have any idea what might be going on? Thanks in advance!

Hi Guys, I have a big problem. I have a freeze when I start the pc in the lockscreen in windows 11 pro so that windows hangs and the mouse too and as soon as I try to click you hear the typical beep sound. its the same sound when you reset the graphics card driver with the key combination Shift+ctrl+windowskey+b. After the beep sound, the mouse works again. i also often have windows hang, especially after startup. for example, i right-click and want to open the display settings and again windows and the mouse hang, but only briefly. I also notice jerks/stuttering on 144hz and 240 hz when I scroll in steam or in chrome but only the first few scrolls after that it runs smoothly when I click somewhere else or refresh the page it happens again. Of course it can also be the game and not the pc, but when I have stuttering ingame, the graphics card utilization goes down and up again and so does the fps. At the moment in most games my gpu load fluctuates. when i watch videos with the same hardware i have and the respective game, the load in the video is actually always at 99 percent as it should be. for me, it's usually between 99 and 90 (it really depends on the game) in alternation unless it's extremely jerky, in which case it's as described above. I think once I've fixed the problem with the beep sound (whatever it is) and the associated freeze and stuttering, everything else will work. i really don't know what to do anymore i've tried everything and even friends of mine have tried bios settings, reinstalling windows, putting in a different graphics card and much more. This pc is just a single bug. especially for this price I can't accept it for myself. If you have any questions or suggestions, please let me know. Lil update: when i am in windows normally and then do the reset with the key combination as described above and after the beep sound open the display settings everything also hangs. i don't understand why. i can repeat this over and over again and it always hangs. CPU: AMD RYZEN 7 7800X3D MB: ASUS ROG STRIX B650E-F RAM: CORSAIR VENGEANCE RGB 32GB (2x16GB) 6000MHz CL30 (EXPO compatible) SSD1: SAMSUNG 990 PRO 2TB SSD2: CORSAIR MP600 PRO XT 2TB GPU: AMD RX 480 (waiting for nvidia 5000 series) PSU: MSI MPG A850G Good Day! I bought a new PC and assembled it and as the title might suggests I got some audio/sound problems when I overclock (with EXPO profile) my RAM. Then I get some sort of stutters when listening to music or watching videos on youtube. When I disable EXPO I get no problems whatsoever. So my theory is mby the CPU or the RAM sticks are malfunctioning. Could there be other related problems or should I return the CPU or RAM and claim warranty? I hope you can help me. Thanks in advance

I've just built my first PC about a month ago. The building process went perfectly to my delight (thank you Linus PC Building POV) however I've had some performance issues since. The only things brought from my previous build are my EVGA 750 GQ 80+ Gold and my 3060 ti. Everything else is completely brand new. Things were working great, except I would get some small stutter in Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1 + 2 where it'd stutter for a second and drop 1 fps to 59. I wanted to fix that and tried a youtube videos suggestion of increasing page file system to be the same amount as my RAM and using msconfig to set my CPU Cores. Doing this made everything worse. Tony Hawk was constantly stuttering to unplayable amounts. So I set those settings back to defaults, everything was still messed up. Tried system restore, it was successful (initially) but Chrome wouldn't open, so I restarted the PC and immediately started boot looping to BSOD Critical Process Died. Couldn't repair or load into safe mode. So I reinstalled windows. I was back up and running, but now all of my games and benchmarks intermittently stutter, BAD. Yesterday everything worked perfectly (HZD Benchmark and playtest, perfect. Shadow of Tomb Raider Benchmark, perfect. Tony Hawk, a few small stutters, but smooth 60 fps otherwise.) Today, every single thing stutters. Even Superposition has hitching. I've tried everything I can think of. My CPU temps never rise above 40 C gaming, my GPU usually sits around 64-74 max usage. Vids of hitching linked below. Please, any help is appreciate. (Crash Bandicoot is the smoothest, but you can see the FPS still waivers randomly.) I'm also on the latest Nvidia drivers. Hi, so I don't usually ask for help for this kinda thing since I usually just do research and try to fix the problem myself but the issue persists nomatter what I do, My laptop (Lenovo gaming 3 15ACH6) randomly gets a large stutter, happens either running no tasks or under load, always happens randomly and cant seem to replicate it. Here are some of the things I've tried to do in order to fix it, Used DDU to uninstall both amd and nvidia gpu, then clean installed them Uninstalled all processors and did a fresh install Enabled hardware accelerated gpu scheduling Fresh install of windows 10 Updated Bios to the latest version Upgraded RAM, changed the storage drive Important things to note, the laptop is on a cooling fan and is not overheating

Hey everyone, so I’ve upgraded to an asus strix 3080 OC from a gtx 1080 strix OC and I’m unfortunately experiencing micro stuttering, not to mention the frigin thing has coil whine… but that’s the least of my problems. The micro stuttering isn’t incredibly bad, i wouldn’t say it makes a game unplayable, but it makes you so annoyed that you just wanna punch something. My system can definitely handle the power which is why this makes no sense, and it doesn’t micro stutter on every game which is super strange. My system has an I9 10900k @3.7ghz, 32gb of Corsair ram @3600mhz (I have xmp1 on), 850W Corsair power supply, ASUS ROG STRIX Z490-E GAMING motherboard, 1TB western digital ssd, and of course the rtx 3080 OC. I’m just so puzzled bc I had no issues with my 1080, and when you pay for an EXPENSIVE gpu aka the 3080, you expect it to be a no bs smooth experience in the games you play. It does it on red dead redemption 2 (story mode), gta5 (story mode and online), a new BR called super people, Outer Worlds, and Jedi fallen order. I’ve tried so many things, and yes I’ve uninstalled the drivers with DDU and used the custom installation method to have a clean instal with the nvida drivers. I’ve done other things as well like mess with the prefer max power in the nvida 3D settings, which honestly made some games crash after a while of playing. At this point I’m thinking it’s just a faulty card, maybe something is wrong with the memory in the gpu, or maybe I just have to much RGB lmfao. I should probably add that I use msi after burner to monitor everything. The frame time, frame rate, temps, gpu/cpu usage… all looks fine other than the damn frametime and micro stutters. Although I have noticed in some instances where when I do get a micro stutter or stutter in general, the gpu usage spikes down and the cpu usage spikes up for a split second, which in some cases when that happens the cpu usage will actually be higher than the gpu, then goes back to normal which is so weird!! Non of it makes sense to me and I’m just so mad, the FPS in my games are incredible but this micro stutter bs is getting to me! I’m about to send it for repair through asus or ask for a replacement but it’s just so strange that maybe it’s something stupid and not gpu related at all. My monitor is a 1920x1080p 1ms 144hz asus monitor, which this one is prob 5 or 4 years old now and it doesn’t have gsync or adaptive sync… could that be an issue??? I would really appreciate some help or advice if possible, sorry for the long thread but I wanted to get everything out there.

First of all my specs: CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800x 8-Core Processor GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti (Drivers up to date) Motherboard: Gigabyte x570 Aorus Elite (Drivers up to date) RAM: VENGEANCE RGB PRO 32GB (16+16) PSU: EVGA GOLD 650 WATT (don't really remember the PSU I have, but remember this info) I'm reaching out for assistance with a persistent stuttering issue I've been experiencing primarily in Fortnite, although it's also noticeable in other games to a lesser extent. In Fortnite, these stutters are particularly troublesome, causing my frame rate to plummet from a steady 300 down to as low as 20-80 sporadically, before bouncing back up instantly. While the problem isn't as severe in other games, it still pops up from time to time. This stuttering problem has been a thorn in my side for quite some time now. Despite upgrading various components of my PC, including switching from an AMD Ryzen 5 5800x CPU and a GTX 1660 Super GPU, the issue persists. I even went as far as swapping out my motherboard, though that was primarily to ensure compatibility with the new CPU. I've diligently explored every troubleshooting avenue available online, tinkering with Windows registry settings and resorting to a complete factory reset in hopes of a resolution. Although there has been some marginal improvement, likely due to updates from Fortnite, the stutters remain an annoyance. I've tried various tweaks such as capping FPS with RTSS, overclocking my CPU to mitigate potential bottlenecks, and adjusting BIOS settings like NVIDIA resizable BAR—all without success. Even toggling RAM XMP settings hasn't provided a lasting solution, although I've opted to keep it enabled for improved RAM performance. At this point, I feel like I've exhausted all options short of building an entirely new PC from scratch. Given the frustration of experiencing stuttering on what many would consider a high-performance PC, any insights or suggestions would be immensely appreciated. I'm eager to restore smooth gaming experiences, especially in Fortnite, which has been marred by these persistent stutters. If you have any advice or solutions to offer, I'd be incredibly grateful. (Before someone asks, yes i did use chat GPT lol, needed to make the reason sound comprehendible as I tend to cramp everything into one place) if you have any further questions about my issue please let me know, thank you in advance

Hello, I have been having stuttering and low performance issues on my desktop pc for a very long time now and I am unsure of what the problem could be. I just recently upgraded nearly everything in my pc and I still continue to have stuttering problems. I have ran tests on all my components and none seem to be faulty or underperforming. None of my temps are out of wack and all stay at cool temperature even under stress. I just recently reset my pc and updated to windows 11, but this too seemed to have no effect. Some games I typically run on this pc are Fortnite, Minecraft, COD, and Roblox which aren't crazy demanding games, but I still have problems running the games at high and consistent framerate even at low settings. Like I said, nearly all of my components are new and did not fix my problem with low fps and stutters. I just recently went to a friend's house who has a pc of similar specs with a RTX 3060 and an i7 13700k which runs infinitely smoother and better in every way. Please help me as I am completely lost on what my problem could be. Here are my specs: CPU: Ryzen 7 5700x GPU: RTX 3060ti MOBO: Gigabyte A520M S2H RAM: OLOy DDR4 RAM 16GB (2x8GB) 3200 MHz (only old component) PSU: Thermaltake Smart 600W 80+ White

i have a gaming laptop, Xpg i7 9th gen, 1660 ti, atlas 157Q I recently went to tech shop and had them change thermal paste and install 8gb ram. However the guys were amateur and didn't know much, regardless the RAM and paste was installed . However ever since that i have been experiencing Extreme stutter in my games. ALL of them even those which didn't have any stutter and were really smooth. I have updated any and all drivers, BIOS everything i could, i have used ddu to uninstall amd reinstall gpu driver . Everything has failed. Games played well in beginning but then start to stutter ALOT. Any help cz this is really stressing me out now. I want to reiterate, i used to get good fps and no stutter in these games. Issue only arose after i went there. Gpu usage 100% cpu varies. Things i have tried aside from updated: I removed new ram and realised the guys had flipped the rams in slot. I put the old ram in its original slot and The games improved but after some time they started to stutter again Reinstalled RAM in another slot again same result, first no stutter then new stutter. One thing i have noticed, is before ram upgrade i used to get lag in normal usage too. I.e 70+ % ram usage meaning laptop had slowed down , but after upgrade this issue was fixed but gaming came up. Any help?

I had my legion y540 with i7 9750h and gtx 1660ti for about 5 years and it has worked perfectly fine with a minimal undervolt ro reduce power draw and everything workd fine but lately i bought rdr2 and i tried to start it the laptop crashed giving me a bluescreen i started it again and a friend told me that it wont run with the undervolt so i turnet it to default it crashed too so i made another more minimal undervolt an it worked with a stutter Since then the stutter appeared in all games when any new object renders in the screen Games like the finals and pes are not playable at all But a game like rocket league and pummel party works fine I tried a new ram and a new ssd but nothing changed I think it could be the ram socket ?

So I recently upgraded my GPU and RAM. I have a 4070 with an i7 10700, 32GB of 3200 CL16, and a PSU of 800W. I had a 1070 with 16GB and I didn't have stuttering, but now I have micro stuttering in every game like R6, Red Dead, and Squad. I'm not using 100% of the CPU, but I feel this micro-stuttering. This is because i have a huge bootleneck or can be because of something else?

I was looking into possibly updating my Bios in preparation for a new CPU I purchased for my system (i9 9900K), when I discovered that I was having very severe input stutters with both mouse and keyboard. Keyboard is wired and mouse is wireless but both are stuttering. I reset the bios settings to default to make sure it wasn't anything wrong with the base overclock, and while the stutters were better they were still present in the Bios. I've attached a preview of the settings that were changed with the reset and a 30 second video that shows the issue I am still running into. I am at a loss for what the issue could be and especially concerned if its a hardware issue considering I have a new processor on the way. Any help would be appreciated. I do not have this issue when booted into Windows. IMG_5436.MP4

Hello everybody. I would like to ask for your help. I just assembled a new pc (except the psu) and I have problem with stutters (avg fps are 60 or above without v-sync, but 1% and 0,1% are about 15 to 19 fps max). My specs are: Cpu: Ryzen 5 3600, mobo: msi b550 a pro atx, Ram: Aegis G-Skill 16 gb ddr4 3200mhz (2 x 8), gpu: rx 6700 xt, ssd: Western digital SN 770 SSD 1TB M.2 Nvme PCI Express 4.0, cooler: Be Quiet Pure Rock 2 and the psu from my 2011 build, a Cooler Master Silent Pro 850 watt 80 Plus Bronze. The problem is that every game I tried stutters either on Ultra or lowest settings. The games I tried are: The Crew 2, Crew Motorfest, Star Wars Jedi Survivor, A plague tale Innocence, Valheim, NFS Unbound. The only games that work without a problem and with ultra graphics are Ac Valhalla and AC Mirage. I Benchmarked and stressed my gpu and cpu with 3D Mark and Kombustor but everything worked fine without any problems. Also the psu didn't seemed to have any problem during the tests. I also tried swapping to my old gpu (rx 580 8gb) after a driver clean uninstall with the exact same problems in the games. I also installed the latest mobo bios upgrade, closed all programs that may slow the pc like Xbox Gamebar, installed only the gpu drivers without the adrenaline app, disabled xmp and ran the games with my stock ram speed (2133mhz) put pc in performance mode, changed the virtual memory and finally I performed a format in case it was a software problem. Nothing worked. The first thing that comes to mind is the psu, but after consulting with a specialist though the phone he told me if the psu couldn't handled the power it would have caused crashes or black screen, or simply the pc wouldn't start. He was also baffled about what exactly was happening. I'm also at a loss and every bit of advice and help will be more than welcome. Thanks in advance.

so Ive kind of researched this but i never really trust those weird websites so i came here for answers. the PC stutters randomly, it doesnt matter if im doing nothing (idling), watching youtube, or playing demanding games (in this case beammng), and once again its not the game thats lagging its my whole pc. in real life it lasts for like 2-4 seconds not close to half a second like in the clips, speaking of which in them it seems to just skip what actually happens while the stutter is happening, what actually happens is everything starts skipping a couple of frames, audio slows down/stutters and mouse starts skipping aswell. specs: ryzen 5 3600 non x gtx 2060 6gig version 16gigs ddr3 ram GIGABYTE B450M DS3H-CF 500 gig m2. drive 1tb hdd 250 gig ssd Desktop 2023.08.16 - 13.22.42.03.DVR - Trim.mp4 0914(1).mp4

For the past 3 days, with only 10 hours of sleep, I’ve been trying to solve a problem with my PC. Three days ago, I replaced my B350 board with a Ryzen 5 1600 with a B550 board with a Ryzen 5 5500. A quick note: The B550 board and the CPU come from my sister’s PC, which she no longer uses. The problem I’m having is audio cracking, and in some games, it even sounds delayed. My sister had no problems with her PC, and I had no problems with my parts. The intensity of this problem is also not uniform, with Spotify and GTA V being strangely not as strong, but with sudden sounds like Win notifications or when changing songs, it’s always audible. The worst example is Fallout 76, where the crackling is continuous and the sound is delayed or rather distorted quite strongly. Here is a list of everything I have done and tried. I’m sure I’ve forgotten many things that are not included in this list. OS level: Clean Win 11 installation, which I tried 6 times with a new installation medium to rule out installation errors. Installation of the latest drivers. Reinstallation of drivers. Installation of various drivers. Test without drivers. Checking the audio settings in Win and Realtek. Latency test performed (no problems). Hardware level: I have tried various audio devices, from USB headsets to 3.5mm headphones and Bluetooth. I completely disassembled the PC and rebuilt each part. I checked every cable. I unplugged all devices and connections that are not necessary. The temperatures are very good. No benchmark problems or crashes, also applies to games, the performance is good and stable. Bios level: Latest Bios version. Downgraded Bios. CMOS. XMP on/off. PCIe 4/3. Resize bar on/off. Various RAM speeds. Strange case: I removed all 4 RAM DIMMs and only inserted one 8-GB DIMM, and it got slightly better, the crackling was less and in some games it was almost gone. So I tested each individual RAM DIMM, and the result was identical. But as soon as I insert a second one, it starts again. I tried this with channel A and B.

Hey everyone, I could really use some help here as I'm at a loss. I've tried many things, and I did see some improvement when completely deleting and reinstalling my GPU drivers, but the issue persists. Tried posting here and elsewhere, but only have ever gotten a single response. The Problem: My PC has recently developed a stutter when gaming, even in titles that are far from resource intensive. (Helldivers and Destiny 2 being good examples) It was upgraded with a new ASUS TUF Gaming RTX 4090 OC Edition and 1600w PSU very early this year and has been running mostly fine since. The stutter has only developed in the last few weeks, exact timeframe of development unknown. Problem Observations: Monitoring tools (GPU Tweak III, Dragonforce CPU Monitor, Task Manager) shows the only thing out of the ordinary is that when a stutter occurs, GPU utilization drops by about 10-25%, and CPU utilization drops by about 5-10% while CPU frequency drops by 25%, but all immediately revert to normal. A weird one is when a game stutters the RGB on my AIO will sometimes visibly "stutter" as well. During stutter, FPS counter shows FPS drop of about 7-14 FPS though game is unresponsive for about half a second to a full second depending on resource intensity. Stuttering is inconsistent. Can go entire pro-longed firefights in a high intensity and resource demanding game like Darktide without it occurring, or can't go a few feet without a stutter for a few seconds in Destiny 2. There's no pattern to it and can sometimes go an hour without it. I also wouldn't call it game-breaking, but it is very annoying. Attempted Fixes and Results: Turning PC off and on again. (Multiple Times) Result: No Change. Updated almost all drivers to ensure they are running on their latest versions and have had all previous versions cleaned. Result: Upon total deletion and reinstallation of Nvidia drivers, I did see a decrease in the severity of stuttering, but they do still occur, and started going back to normal as time went on. Updated Windows 11. Even attempted a beta build. Result: No Change. The TUF Gaming RTX 4090 OC Edition comes pre-overclocked, so tinkered with overclock settings. Result: No change. Locking framerate of games. Result: No Change. Enabling / Disabling G-Sync on monitor. Result: No Change. Enabling / Disabling V-sync in games. Result: No Change. Adjusting graphical quality in games. Result: No Change. Updated RGB software and firmware. Result: No Change. Tested and Reseated each RAM card. Result: No Change. Flashed Bios. Result: No Change. Potential Fixes Not Yet Attempted: Reinstallation of Windows. I would prefer to only do this as a last resort due to how long it often takes. PC Specs: OS: Windows 11 Bios: A.70 CPU: Ryzen 5950x w/ Corsair 420mm AIO RAM: Trident Z RGB 64GB DDR4 3600 (4 x 16GB) MB: MSI MAG B550 Tomahawk GPU: ASUS TUF Gaming RTX 4090 OC Edition PSU: EVGA 1600 P+ Supernova Platinum M.2 NVME: Samsung 970 EVO 1TB SATA SSD: Samsung 860 EVO 1TB Hard Disk: Samsung 4TB External Hard Disk: 10TB PC Info: Thermals have been thoroughly checked. Even under-load, GPU never reaches more than 51*C, CPU never over 77*C. Case is well ventilated and features seven fans. (Three in-take, four exhaust, counting AIO) All dust filters have been thoroughly cleaned. Most components are still quite young. MB, CPU + AIO, RAM, NVME, SATA and fans were acquired in 2021. GPU and PSU acquired early 2023. All components were purchased new. Games are stored across separate drives and games on all drives are impacted. Unless I am missing it, I am not seeing any blatant signs of component bottlenecking, but perhaps I am not understanding such information correctly. I hope this is enough info to get started and I greatly appreciate any help those more knowledgeable than I could provide. I would greatly like to find and fix the cause so as to go back to the way things were before, as hours of troubleshooting later I have come up empty.

Hey everyone, I could really use some help here as I'm at a loss. Tried a variety of things but haven't found a fix and I'm worried about the risk of potential component damage. The Problem: My PC has recently developed a stutter when gaming, even in titles that are far from resource intensive. Attempted Fixes and Results: Turning PC off and on again. (Multiple Times) Result: No Change. Update almost all drivers to ensure they are running on their latest versions and have had all previous versions cleaned. The exception to this is CPU driver as AMD's StoreMI suffers well-known installation errors and AMD's tech support is next to worthless. Result: No Change. Updated Windows 11. Even attempted a beta build. Result: No Change. The TUF Gaming RTX 4090 OC Edition comes pre-overclocked, so tinkered with overclock settings. Result: Data inconclusive, but slight improvement might have been noticed with stutter in Darktide. Locking framerate of games. Result: No Change. Enabling / Disabling G-Sync on monitor. Result: No Change. Enabling / Disabling V-sync in games. Result: No Change. Adjusting graphical quality in games. Result: Less resource intensive games did seem to see a slight decrease in amount of stuttering, but would still occur. Updating RGB software. Result: No Change. Testing and Reseating RAM. Result: Stuttering seemed to DRASTICALLY decrease, though did start coming back. Did this at the same time I flashed Bios, so can't discern which helped most. Flashed Bios. I did a fresh install of Windows 10 because I wanted to format my SSD and HDD. Whenever I set my headset as the audio output now, audio and video suddenly turn slow motion. The computer itself continues to work normally, just the sound gets obnoxiously slow and choppy. If I'm playing a video on youtube, it also turns slow motion. If I change the audio output on Windows to realtek it immediately works normally, but no sound on the usb headset. I tried a non usb headphone and it works fine. Connecting to Alexa through bluetooth also works. The headset, Edifier G2 II, worked perfectly before resetting Windows. I've also tested it on my laptop, and it still works fine there. I've tried: - Reinstalling realtek drivers (from the motherboard website) - Uninstalling the headset drivers from device manager and downloading them again - Updating headset drivers through device manager (it didn't find a newer version) - Installing the headset drivers from the manufacturer's website Any ideas?

Hello, I'm really desperate, so I hope someone here can help me. I recently bought a new PC with the following specs: AMD Ryzen 7800X3D MSI B650 Tomahawk WiFi Zotac RTX 4070Ti 2x Corsair Vengeance 6000MT/s CL30 AMD EXPO Corsair RMx Shift 750W For the first week I've used my old Samsung 860 EVO as boot drive and everything worked great. I've now switched to a Samsung 980 Pro and the problems started. My system is stuttering, the whole time. Stuttering/Lagging starts ~1 Minute after booting and does not stop. I thought it was my M2 drive, so I swapped it for a Crucial P5 Plus, but the lagging still occurs. Here is what I can observe: visible FPS drops (165Hz Monitor) but it feels like <30FPS audio is stuttering (but when I'm in discord other people can understand me well with no issues) when it's stuttering my CrystalDiskMark score is worse (read no stutter: ~6800 MB/s vs. read with stutter: ~2800 MB/s) What I've tried so far to solve this issue: BIOS Update (used different BIOS Versions) Chipset driver Update (different Versions) used a different M2 SSD (Crucial P5 Plus) with the 980 pro I used Samsung Magician for firmware updates and also had similar results in the benchmark like CrystalDiskMark used different RAM configurations (1 stick, 2 sticks) EXPO enabled/disabled Memory context restore enabled/disabled tried out different M2 slots driver update tried windows 10 and 11, but no difference, stuttering still occurs clear windows install fTPM enabled/disabled booting only with iGPU checked Display settings (it's 165Hz and also appears at 120/144/...) So as you can see I've tried a bit and I'm really frustrated, since I haven't found anything yet. Is there any tips you may have? How could I identify which component is the problem? Is it the motherboard maybe? It's a really confusing error since it still works perfect with my SATA SSD ... If you need any further information, I'll share it

Hello I recently did a big upgrade to my system with new gpu cpu motherboard and so on. And for the most part its working great! But i have had some issues with framerate (fps) I have issues where simply turning the camera can make me go from 120fps down to like 90-100 and while that doesn't sound that bad with 90+fps, its the quick "freeze" that happens during the drops that is really distracting (see video below for example). At first i thought it was my system overheating, but that doesn't seem to be the case according to HWmonitor and i also tried MSI afterburner My specs are: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 Cpu: 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-13700K 3.40 GHz Ram: 32gb G.Skill Ripjaws S5 DDR5-6000 BK C30 DC Motherboard: ASUS ROG MAXIMUS Z790 HERO power supply: be quiet! Straight Power 12 Platinum 1200W power supply - 1200 kW - 135 mm - 80 Plus Platinum certified And i'm using a 1440p monitor (1080p 2nd monitor) My gpu, cpu, bios, windows and all of that is up to date. And i even did a fresh install of windows just to make sure. Things to note: I played through Resident evil 4 remake DLC at max settings 1440p at 120fps all the way. Anyway.. Here is the screenshot of HWmonitor while playing Lies of P. Max settings 1440p for about 2 hours (it did the stutter at the start of that play time too) Maybe its the game.. Or maybe its something with my pc i just can't figure out.. Either way any ideas i can try is welcome

Hello, For the better part of a year, I have been having microstutters in most games despite having a decent rig. Minecraft, Fortnite, Warzone, Valorant, CSGO, and battlebit (battlebit seems to just hitch for a lot of people) have been my main games. Most of these games don't require a crazy system to run well, yet I still have problems with constant microstutters at any graphical settings. I have run many tests and benchmarks and it seems that none of my hardware is faulty and runs just as anyone else's would. My temps are great, no thermal throttling, around 35-40c on idle for both CPU and GPU with around 60-80c when playing most games. My FPS seems to be fine in games, yet I still get microstutters in all games. One of the main things I noticed when I microstutter, is a spike or decrease in either CPU or GPU usage which causes my frametime as well as framerate to fluctuate. This sounds like a bottleneck in most cases, but I do not think I have one as I have seen this combo be used and tested with no problems. Please help me or give suggestions as I have been trying to fix my problems for months. Thanks. My original rig was: GTX 1660 Ryzen 5 1600 2x8 GB ram 3200mhz ASUS PRIME A320M-K Motherboard Vetroo V5 CPU cooler Thermaltake Smart White 500w PSU I upgraded to: RTX 3060ti (and a 3060 but found a better deal on the 3060ti so I swapped) (also still got the same stutters on 3060) Ryzen 5 3600 same ram Gigabyte A520M S2H Motherboard same CPU cooler Thermaltake Smart White 600w PSU UserBenchmarks: Game 114%, Desk 94%, Work 108% CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 - 87.4% GPU: Nvidia RTX 3060-Ti - 128.5% SSD: WD Blue SN550 NVMe PCIe M.2 500GB - 226.5% SSD: T-force 1TB 1TB - 101.9% RAM: Unknown CL16-20-20 D4-3200 2x8GB - 81.1% MBD: Gigabyte GA-A520M S2H

Hi i am running into a weird issue with stuttering when i use my tv with my pc. I have a LG 65" 4K C1 OLED that i sometimes use with my pc but primarily i use a 3x1080p monitor setup with a mix of old/new monitors. When i connect to the tv i disable the other screens in windows display settings. The strange thing is that i get a weird stutter on my tv regardless of what i do moving the mouse cursor across the screen, Watching youtube videos, playing games etc. I tried disabling G-Sync on my TV but that did not help i noticed when i was checking my Windows display settings that it was constantly refreshing and swtiching between my tv or my samsung 27AG324 monitor. i disconnected all my monitors and that resolved the issue. so seems some signal is sent to my GPU by one of the disabled montors that is causing these stutters. so i have found a workaround but i would like to find a permanent solution that does not involve me disconnecting the display cables for my monitors everytime i use the tv. so my current setup is: DP: Samsung 27" 27AG324 (Primary) DP: Acer 24" XB240HA (Vertical Secondary) HDMI: Acer 24" G246HL (Secondary) HDMI: LG 65" C1 OLED And my PC specs are: CPU: Ryzen 3800X GPU: Asus TUF RTX 3080 10 Gb VRAM RAM GSkill 32 gb 3200 Mhz OS: Windows 11 Pro 22H2 Any suggestions would be appreciated.
