Hello! I am an applied maths and computation student who also happens to be an english teacher and have a growing passion for LTT (and everything technnology), their highly entertaining content has helped me ease some of the stress encountered while persuing my degree and it even has helped fill some gaps in my knowledge. Sadly I can't share with a lot of my peers because of the existing language barriers. I'd like to do the spanish subtitles for the upcoming videos, at least the main channel ones, I already have experience translating, mostly volunteer proyects across different fields including some youtube videos. However it seems like I can't add subtitles to LTT's videos since they seem to be locked. I know it seems like a huge endevour and a big exception, but is there some way I could do a trial for a couple of videos to to assure you that I'll keep the quality of the content up? The spanish speaking market is huge, and we have yet to experience a technology content creator boom, so I belive this could be a great opportunity to expand LTT's reach and make it more approachable for a lot of people. Obviously as a volunteer.

Any good spanish media to watch to keep my language skills over time? It can be anything, movies, tv, songs. Speaking of movies, Rec 1 and Rec 2 were decent spansish b-list horror movies, not scary but pretty novel and worth watching. Language was easy to understand.

First of all, thank you very much for your attention. I'm having quite hard time finding a mechanical keyboard that satisfies some of my needs. What I'm looking for is: A mechanical keyboard, with... - Switches: Cherry MX Red or Brown. - Size: TenKeyLess. - Lighting: Preferably White or RGB. - Price: Around 100-130€ (approx. 116-150 US Dollars). - I LOVE the design of the Cooler Master Masterkeys Pro S, and the Logitech G PRO, but I can't find any TKL keyboards with the following: - MAIN PROBLEM: Spanish (Spain) ISO Layout. I have found a German and an Italian variant of the Masterkeys Pro S, but no Spanish one. It would be ok for me to buy a German one and then buy some keycaps, the problem is that all I find is expensive keycaps, with ISO-UK layout. It would be ok for me to buy a ISO-ES set that costs 30-40€, or just the special accent, Ç and Ñ keys, but I just can't find them anywhere. Alternatively I would really like a keyboard, similar or identical to those mentioned above, but with native ISO-ES layout. If anyone can lend me a helping hand, I would be incredibly thankful. Thanks!

Hi guys, I'm looking for a compact mechanical keyboard with a, specifically, spanish ISO layout. At first I thought of getting the WASD 62-key or the pok3r. The pok3r is technically cheaper but I would have to get spanish keycaps so they would be at about the same price (both shipped). But as you probably have guessed those two options are at a pretty steep price point (the WASD is almost 200 shipped). I'm planning to use on different computers with probably different language layouts. Is there any other alternatives? Things I would prefer but no limited to: - Cherry Blues - %60 size - Good build quality - Budget price (not to confuse with "cheap") Things I DON'T want: - To program the keyboard myself - Linear keys (but will consider if there is literally nothing else) Thanks!

Hi, I’m new to the forum, but I been watching LTT for a very long time. I know that LMG is located in Canada. I know that most of the viewers are probably from the U.S. and some from Latin American countries. It would be cool if Linus hired a writer that could speak Spanish fluently because there is a lot of native Spanish speakers in the U.S., like myself, that would love to see content from how to build a pc in Spanish or reviews in Spanish or even a techlinked video in Spanish. If you guys want to expand your audience other than Canada and the U.S., I would love to see you upload a video in Spanish. I’m saying this because there is people out there that prefer watching things in Spanish because it’s their native language. So that’s my wish for LMG. Yo espero ver esto en el futuro. ( I hope to see this in the future.)

I consider myself fairly tech savvy, but I'm stumped. Every now and then, a website will decide that I am Spanish. As an adult student at a college by me, and the first time I noticed it was on their website. I was able to pseudo solve the problem by going into my Chrome settings and insuring my language was english. Now what happens is I'll log in to the site which is initially in spanish, chrome will see that it's spanish and translate it to english for me. It stopped for a while, and most recently it happened again with the Synergy website. This happens across devices (laptop, phone, desktop), so it must be something with how Google or someone identifies me. I speak rudimentary spanish at work and listen to a lot of spanish music, so I can understand why something may have automatically switched over, but how to I get it back?

I have about 200-300 words of english that need to be translated into French and Spanish accurately. It doesn't need to be perfect but I'm looking for something better than Google translate because that generally doesn't go down to well... . It's for a presentation I have to do for school. I have to speak about a hobby/topic of my choice (computer building) for 1-2 minutes in French and SPAMish Cheers!

Ok, so my problem is that I speak two lenguages English and Spanish and here in spai,n I have a Spanish YouTube channel in wich, obviously, I speak spanish. But the problem is that I enjoy games more in english than in spanish. So my question is if theres any way to be able on Steam to swich lenguages with the same save file (Depending if im recording or solo). Also I know I should ask this on the Steam forums, and I will, but lately this forum has helped me a lot more and I trust you guys more. Also I wouldn't want two version of the same game because I just have an 250gb ssd and I would want to fill it with tons of copies.

Hi all, I recently made an account at codeacademy.com because I want to learn a programming language (I'm starting with Python) however it seems to be entirely in Spanish, and gets translated to English via google chrome. While the translation is able to get things more or less understandable, having never coded before, I'd much rather have it natively in English. When going to codeacademy.com I am directed to codeacademy.com/es/learn. Changing this to codeacademy.com/en/learn does make the home page appear in English, but all lessons are still in Spanish, regardless of the /es or /en for the language in the url. Help please? *Edit* Forgot to mention, even changing the language on the homepage in the bottom right does not fix the issue

Warning: Spelling mistakes, read carefully. Hey guys! I'm a chilean beginner on building pc's, in fact im building my first desktop PC by myself but I need help. So the thing is I'm on a low budget build. I already purchased the EVGA GTX750Ti FTW which will satisfy my gaming needs and I am planning to pair it with an intel g3258 which performs okay for the price paired with the graphics card. The motherboard though is a point where I'm planning to save some cash, because I've already spent most of it on the graphics card and my other priority is the PSU. So, which is the cheapest motherboard that will support overclocking for the g3258? regardless of features. I've seen on internet that some mobo's need just an update to start overclocking but there isn't much clear information about lower cost motherboards regarding oc'ing support. EDIT: Forgot the RAM part. I read a while ago that APU's benefit the most of high speed RAM, but i don't know how relevant it is in this build.

Hello nice LinusTechTips member! I recently started exploring the forum after watching Linus for a long time, and wow have you guys surprised me. The kindness and willingness to help here in unparalleled in all of my time on the internet. I truly am amazed at how many people will take time out of their day to help me with my annoying tech problems/questions. This time, I ask the LTT community for help in a different way. My best friend has recently been accepted into the Indiana University Honors Program in Foreign Languages, an elite program for college-bound students. He may be able to go to Mexico this summer and get fully immersed in the language. I say may because due to unforeseen circumstances, he lost much of his funds for the trip. He has worked at a community library for over a year, but due to his own and his families expenses, and a few emergencies as well, he could only save $1000 of the $5000 he earned working at the library. He would be ecstatic if the LTT community came through for him. Every bit counts, donate at his gofundme page here http://www.gofundme.com/m5nn20. Thanks a lot!

Hey! I use a Kali Linux Live USB to mess around or test the security of my connection and I found that to get the correct keyboard layout on console I have to type this every single time setxkbmap -layout es Is there a way of making the LiveUSB automatically do this each time at startup instead of having to type it myself? I dont mind everything else being in english but typing in console with the wrong layout is just annoying!

Hello Everybody. Some of you may already know me, and if you dont, you're doing right now hehe. Well, lets go straight on this one. Since I started watching linus videos, moreless a year ago, I thought he has a great potential, but he could expand even more. There's where I want to go. As my profile sais, I'm from Spain, and we have one of the most spoken languages in the world (Spain, whole south/center america, mexico, parts of USA, and other parts on the rest of the world), This is a huge amount of people. I'm following linus cause I can stand English, but, most of this people don't stand, so they can't follow linus. Also happen that spanish language doesn't have good quality tech channelson youtube. There are millions, but anyone as big as linus is. My idea is reaching this people. Not because of the money, but more because of the knowledge. It's fucking helpful having such a thing on the internet. Actually, this is the reason for all of us to be here, we all want knowledge. I want to share it to the rest of the spanish community. My idea is, translating to spanish (spoken, no subtitles) linus videos. Of course, there are tons of work to do, but linus has done it, so I can do it too. Of course, I dont want to have any profit from this, just doing like a hobby, but I have some questions about it... First of all, is about linus ads. If I translate them, could he get in trouble for this? and if i dont, what if this channel goes official? but any video have ads, any trouble with sponsors for him? Second, I cannot do it only by myself, mainly because I'm not english, I'm not able to get all jokes, idioms, and some weird pronounced words....and, you see my writing... not the best I need an englishman helping!! haha If they like the idea, it could even be translated to german, french.... depending on people (not me, i just speak english and spanish hehe) What do you guys think about it? Is there also any chance to contact linus and explain him this? I dont think he would come and read this haha

There's no caption option for this video on YT. It would be really helpful and nice if any of you guys who speaks spanish, can translate this video to me. It doesn't have to be really accurate. I just wanna know what they were talking about. The moment falcao covered his face and cried was really touching. He is currently injured and on a rehabilitation process . That kid really respects Falcao so much. I hope it's not too much to ask. Thanks LTT.

No worries, it's done now. Hi! What I'm looking for is someone who can translate a few different words that I would like to get accurately translated to each of the languages. The languages are German, Spanish and French. (So no Google translate please, I can do that myself...) What it's intended for is a small program I have been working on that I will hopefully release soon. (As soon as I get a website up and running and finish some smaller things in the program.) But I thought it'd be nice to include some other languages as well. The program will be released for free and I will probably not make any big money out of ads, if anyone ever visits the website at all. It's just for my own personal training really but I wanted to do it nicely and I thought that someone here surely could help me with translation! Contact me if you know one of the languages and I will send you the words to translate into your language. (Keeping in mind that it is for a program, so i.e. "Door out" in English is not appropriate as "Exit" in a program or something similar. Even though they can mean pretty much the same thing in other cases. (Not exactly, but you get my point.) I would like appropriate terms for a computer program, basically.) But again, to be clear, there will be no payment. I can, if you want, add some credits either in the program or on the website when everything is done (There is really no time frame for this..) that you have helped with translation. You can give me your real name or if you want your username that you have on the forum displayed. But that is all I can do I'm afraid. If anyone wonders, it's about 40 words to translate. But those ~40 words include all of the months and days so that is something you really just have to type not look it up (maybe?) and see what is appropriate in that case. Regards, Ludwig Johnson
