Hello, I recently bought a Japanese imported Sharp WD-615 word processor and I'm having trouble finding info about it. I was wondering if the community can help me find the original Operating System and find some paperwork or specs for the system?

Hi, So a little bit of background info: I'd like to create a program that could run 0-24 and would do the following: receive a Facebook message with a YouTube URL, download the video and finally send it back as a reply. It is because my data plan includes unlimited data for Facebook, which I never use, and this way I could get unlimited YouTube. I've only started programming recently, and I can use C++ and C#, although I'm not very fast or experienced in either of them. After a bit of searching, I found that the Messenger API uses Javascript, but I haven't used Java or Javascript ever. So: Is there already a bot/program that could do this (kinda like IFTTT)? If there isn't where how I start writing this program, should I use C# or should I learn Javascript? Thanks in advance!

My friend gave me a Sharp Sharp VC-H992U VCR for my mom since she's been wanting one for a while to play her old VHS tapes. There wasn't a remote included but I knew we had an old universal one laying around somewhere. Which we did & it supposedly can work with Sharp VCRs according to it's code list. Unfortunately that's all the documentation we have for the Emerson VT1322/VT1922 remote. I've tried looking online for a user manual on how to program this thing but no luck so far. I'm not dead set on getting it working though, so if any of you know of a good cheap remote that can work with this VCR she might just buy that. Local stores don't carry remotes that work with VCR's anymore or we'd just grab one of those. So yeah if y'all know where I can find the manual to this remote or just a new one all together that'd work we'd appreciate it, thanks.

I have a Denon AVRX3600 receiver I had just bought. I setup CEC with an older sharp tv, it has aquous sync (cec), and when I turn on and off the TV, the receiver turns the amp on and off how we like it. But if we turn on the receiver , it won't turn on the TV. Which is trouble some because this receiver can be powered on and off with a Google Home natively, and that part works, but even using the remote to just turn on the receiver won't turn on the tv as well. Is there anything wrong with this? I do know CEC isn't really mature, but it should work and has for other people. I have also tried a chromecast, but that will only control the power for the TV. *edit* I could put a chromecast on it and just setup a group for the amp and chromecast so they both turn on, but the Denon amp is classified as an "Alarm" and doesn't let me group it with anything in the Google Home App.

I tried my best but I'm not satisfied with the image quality of my 65" 4k TV but also I'm not a professional by any means so I ask this community for help. What are the best image settings for a sharp LC-65UI7252E? What should I turn on or off and is there a way to make the HDR really work or have I overlooked something? Any tips are appreciated!

Recently got a used tv from a friend (Sharp 43n6100u) . Upon turning on I noticed a slight back ring on the left side of the screen. It would appear that too much pressure was applied near the edge at some point. It's not horrible, but still noticeable. Is there anything I can do to fix this or lessen the effect?

Summary Toshiba has sold their remaining shares in their laptop business Dynabook. Dynabook was originally called Toshiba Client Solutions Co., Ltd and brought the very first mass produced laptop computer (the T1100) to market. In June 2018, Toshiba sold 80.1% of the company to Sharp but kept the remaining 18.9%. They sold because they were having difficulty selling products and needed money after an accounting scandal. However, this past week, Toshiba sold the remaining shares. As far as I can tell, the amount and reasons are still unknown. Quotes My thoughts I have never heard of Dynabook previous to this. Looking at their website though, it seems that the majority of laptops they sell are pretty outdated. Based on that, I cant say I am surprised Toshiba is selling this portion of their business. Am I the only one whose never heard of Dynabook before or are they are small, mostly unknown brand? Sources Toshiba News Release Tom's Hardware TECHSPOT

In CEATEC Japan 2016, the Japanese equivalent of CES, Sharp revealed a prototype 27" 8K HDR IGZO monitor. The monitor, which was placed in the IGZO corner of the Sharp booth, is a HDR IGZO IPS monitor, with a resolution of 7,680 × 4,320, pixel density of 326ppi, and a refresh rate of 120Hz. With that refresh rate , and the cables cluster on the back of the monitor, it probably would required more than one displayport/hdmi cables to run the monitor. Unfortunately the monitor is still in prototype stage, and it would be expensive, as it was aimed at business professionals. Also no words on when it will hit the market. http://pc.watch.impress.co.jp/docs/news/event/1023147.html (in Japanese) *update: I did a little digging, and it seems this monitor was already shown back in IFA 2016, with a different chassis color ( the one shown in IFA was all black). And according to a German tech site Hardware Journal, it requires 16 HDMI inputs to run this monitor (probably becoz it is a prototype, and I hope Google translate is correct here). http://www.hw-journal.de/news/150-monitore/2650-ifa-2016-sharp-27-zoll-mit-8k-display (in German) http://ascii.jp/elem/000/001/222/1222638/ (in Japanese)

So i just got the SE315, the sound is great when its plugged in to my phone (Note 5) but when i connect it to my pc the sound is very sharp that it makes me uncomfortable listening to it. Is it because of the onboard audio on my pc? Do i have to buy an external dac/amp to solve this problem? Side note: I burned in the shure for 40 hrs and the sharp sound reduces but its still very sharp compared to when connecting to my phone. Also the connection setup on my pc is Rear 3.5mm port > Razer Blackwidow > Shure SE315 Does this affect the performance? Thanks

So, I've been looking around for cheap used TVs to use with some old consoles, and for movies and nvidia gamestream from my Shield Portable. I've been able to haggle a guy near me selling a sharp LC-32D59U 32" 720p tv down to $100. I know its the devil's resolution at 1366x768 which sucks, but the level of detail I need for my purposes should be fine. So my question is is it worth it or should I look for a better deal. Edit: Since posting I've been able to haggle the price down to $80.

Hey everyone! I have a quick audio related question. I'm getting tired of solely playing the sound from my PC to my headset and would like to run it through my old stereo instead. However, I am not sure how or even if I can. My stereo is a Sharp DVD Micro System. Model: XLDV75HMKII (Sharp’s website has just gone down I think so I'm unable to link it or its manual). It has a HDMI connection in the back and I've tried connecting it both to the HDMI spot on my motherboard and GPU, however have had no success. Is my PC able to play sound through my stereo via HDMI or will I have to buy one of those dual RCA cables? Other information: GPU: EVGA Classified Kinpin Edition MOBO: Asus Maximus Formula 6 Stereo: http://www.graysonline.com/auctionproduct/sharpxldv7-17... Thanks for your time.

I don't think HTC understands what a flagship means. Flagship. Singular. One ultimate device for your generation. Thats it. Best you can muster for the release cycle. Yet we have yet another HTC One 'flagship' for Asia. Because HTC thinks making new hardware based off the One over and over will fix the lacklustre reception their phones have been getting this year. In all honesty, maybe this should've been the M9 that HTC sold North America and Europe in the first place. Maybe HTC needs to really take the best of everything and make a single phone. This thing does have a fingerprint scanner, but its not a button. Doesn't make sense, since you still get these god awful double bezels and I can't honestly think that anyone at HTC actually thinks this looks nice anymore. HTC, please get your shit together. No? Yes? Please don't release a HTC One ME9+ now after this...and yes this device is either the ME or ME9 depending on what sources you read. Keep getting confused people, its the HTC way. http://www.engadget.com/2015/06/04/htc-one-me/ http://www.slashgear.com/htc-one-me-sports-htcs-sharpest-display-and-you-cant-have-it-04386756/

SUHD -- the S doesn't stand for anything, according to Samsung, but the UHD is longhand for 4K -- is Samsung's branding for what it claims is its best LCD picture quality yet. More than one company representative told me that, despite being based on LCD, the JS9500 SUHD TV rivals the picture of OLED, the best TV technology ever. The models I saw in person did look very good for LCD, but I'll have to wait until I get them into the lab next to an OLED TV to know for sure. Samsung has announced three series of high-end SUHD LCD TVs for 2015, consisting of nine total models, and the JS9500 will be the most expensive (although pricing has yet to be revealed). Its main step-up over the other two series, JS9000 and JS8500, is a full-array local-dimming backlight with "hundreds" of zones (Samsung wouldn't specify exactly how many), which should deliver brighter highlights and deeper black levels than the edge-lit backlights found on the other two. The JS9500 comes in just two big sizes, 88 inches and 65 inches, and both have curved screens. The 88-inch SUHD TV revealed at CES 2015.Sarah Tew/CNETSo what makes them "S"? In two confusing words: quantum dots. The dots themselves are actually nanocrystals -- really, really small crystals -- applied to the blue LEDs that comprise the backlights of these LCD TVs. They emit specific wavelengths of red and green which, combined with the blue LEDs, can achieve brighter images and a wider color gamut than conventional LED backlight technology. Samsung says its SUHD sets achieve up to 1,000 nits in light output, compared with 300-500 for a typical LED LCD TV. It also says their color approaches, but doesn't quite achieve 100 percent coverage of, the DCI color space, which is significantly wider than the Rec 709 color space used for almost all in-home content today (in other words, the wider gamut isn't of much use today, despite Samsung mentioning one-off collaborations with Fox in its press materials). Beyond the dots, SUHD TVs also employ a new panel technology designed to further improve contrast in bright rooms. original artical by cnet: http://www.cnet.com/products/samsung-un65js9500/

http://www.androidcentral.com/we-go-hands-sharp-aquos-crystal Copied from above. Sprint has recently announced the Sharp Aquos Crystal and we were very eager to see it in person. Tonight, at an event in New York City, Sprint has shown off this device with stunningly-slim bezels. It's heading to the carrier Sprint and its prepaid Boost Mobile and Virgin Mobile brands. Interested? Watch our hands-on video and photos! The Sharp Aquos Crystal features a 5-inch 720p screen with very little bezel on the top and sides. There's an 8-megapixel camera on the back with 1.2MP on the front, a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 1.5GB of RAM, 8 GB for storage, and an embedded 2040mAh battery. It runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat. Other key features include Harman's LiveStage, which adds dimension to sound, and Clari-Fi technology, which improves digital sound quality by restoring all types of compressed digital music. Another interesting feature is a subscription service called App Pass that allows customers to access a hand-selected catalog of premium apps and games for $4.99 per month after a 14-day free trial. This is exclusive to Sprint in the United States. The App Pass catalog is curated with some of the world's top developers including Gameloft and Oceanhouse Media. It also includes select titles from other developers such as OfficeSuite 7 Pro, Camera Zoom FX, Minuum Keyboard, CamScanner and Color & Draw for Kids. We're not used to seeing slim bezels on most smartphones, but after playing with the the Aquos Crystal, we'd like to see more manufacturers do the same thing. It makes devices with big screens feel much better to hold. They are coming up with a more powerful version soon.

Accourding to kitguru.com Sharp Corp. this week demonstrated the world’s first display with incredible 736 pixels per inch (ppi) pixel density. The company said that it will be able to commercially ship such display panels in calendar 2016. The experimental 4.1” panel from Sharp has resolution of 2560*1600 (WQXGA), which is not a breakthrough for mobile devices nowadays. Nonetheless, the pixel density of 736 pixels per inch is considerably higher than the record pixel density of today’s top smartphones from LG and Samsung (which feature pixel density of around 500ppi). The panel with record pixel density is based on Sharp’s IGZO technology. Keeping in mind that a human’s eye cannot see individual pixels on screens with 350ppi – 400ppi density at typical smartphone viewing distances, it is unclear whether Sharp’s 4.1” 2560*1600 display will find any practical use. Nonetheless, ultimate pixel density of 736 pixels per inch opens doors to mainstream-sized smartphones with 4K (3840*2160) ultra-high-definition screens. Sharp said that it would be able to commercially ship displays with such pixel density only in fiscal 2016 (starts on the 1st of April, 2016), therefore, the technology is not quite ready for mass production yet. Incredible pixel density will not only open doors to smartphones with 4K displays, but will also enable companies like Sharp to create screens with even higher resolutions. In fact, in order to build 8K (7680*4320) TVs and displays several years down the road, Sharp and other manufacturers will need to learn how to produce panels with increased pixel density cost-efficiently. My uncle has been bothering me about what is the best tv to get. He wants to spend less than 2.2k. I am having trouble finding any good tvs. He wants to have a tv that is bigger than 60", 70" would be preferable. He has sent me lots of used plasma tvs, but I think led is a must along with 120hz refresh rates. There was a deal on woot for a little while that was a sharp 70in for 1249 refurbished, but it is long gone. If anyone has any suggestions on a good tv to get, please tell me. Personally I think he should wait till 4k is more affordable, but he can not wait! The tv can be refurbished. Thanks in advance for any help.

Sharp released a new Windows 8.1 tablet. It is called "RW-16G1", a 15.6 inch Windows 8.1 tablet. One outstanding feature about this tablet is the 3200x1800 IGZO screen. Because of this high resolution, it has a 235ppi , higher than that of MacBook Pro. Besides that, it also features an Intel Core i5-4200U processor, 4GB RAM, a 128GB SSD, a Mini DisplayPort, USB 3.0 ports, and an SD card slot. It weights 2.7 lb, 0.5-inch thick, runs Windows 8.1, and has nine hrs of battery life. There is still no info on price , but this tablet will be available in March 2014. http://www.tabletpcreview.com/default.asp?newsID=4689&news=Sharp_Announces_16_Inch_IGZO_Windows_Tablet

Sharp's 4K monitor, the PN-K321, is now availble in various Apple online store across Europe for 3,999 euros. This may come as a proof that Apple may launch their new Mac Pro in the coming weeks, which Apple claimed it is capable of driving up to 3 4K displays. http://appleinsider.com/articles/13/12/06/in-lieu-of-a-retina-thunderbolt-display-apple-now-selling-4k-igzo-sharp-led-monitor
