so.. i decided to try space engineers' newest iteration of "we fixed the physics engine", and unsurprisingly its once again a disaster.. so i'm trying to look elsewhere. my issue at this point is that i ran out of places to look for a game of my liking, but maybe the community could point out some stuff i've missed. "requirements" so to say are as follows: - sandbox game, not really a "main objective" or quest line. think of games the likes of conan exiles, minecraft, and before mentioned space derpineers. - survival. while more or less optional, i'd love it to have survival aspects. - i want to build shit. "shit" being buildings, and primarily (because buildings are well covered by minecraft and conan exiles) building vehicles to goof off with. - multiplayer probably a better picture is drawn by using games as examples: - i LOVE kerbal space program, not just for rockets, but the game is surprisingly capable with airplanes, cars ("rovers") and even boats. the lack of official multiplayer (with good reason, most likely) and the game not really being "explore and settle" oriented kinda turn me off faster than i'd like however. - conan exiles is all the things, except it lacks vehicles (once again.. with good reason). - minecraft is probably still my most played game, and to me its survival aspects, tech tree (mods ) and multiplayer experience are unmatched. unfortunately all attempts at vehicles in minecraft have ended in failure at some point. the closest i've gotten to my "building vehicles" idea was with funky locomotion, which was unfortunately less practical than it was laggy. - space engineers is a pretty fine example as well, however i'm not very convinced of the whole "space" idea, and the physics engine finds interesting ways to break itself over and over again. never before did i expect digging into a wall to make me sink trough the ground. - i have a full stop ban on ARK, because the devs dont deserve my money, and their game is probably the most unoptimized piece of shit i've ever seen, and thats from someone with over 1000 hours in minecraft. - scrap mechanic seems to have the right idea, but the devs seem to be more worried about game trailer footage material, than actual game features. its also very "aimed at kids", which isnt necessarily what i'm looking for. - TUG was very promising, then the devs bailed. TLDR: looking for a "survival sandbox" that allows me to build my own way to explore the world without bugging out every 5 seconds. i'm prepared to pay good money for such a game, but the more i pay the more i expect.

Hi guys, before anything else, happy new year to y'all; now, i'm looking for the best possible game to make houses and overall buildings with as much freedom as possible, i thought House Flipper would be the best fit for me but after watching some reviews it seems the player is kinda hand-tied by the size of the property acquired and can't just build houses as in a sandbox mode or anything, so i started looking around and found a couple games that might suit my needs but not entirely, i got LEGO worlds just because it was dirty cheap on CDKeys, but i'm still on the search of an ideal house building game with or without actual characters living there, i just want the most sandbox, free and open space building simulator to design stuff. Minecraft looks appealing but still i think there should be better options out there, thnx for reading.

On november 2012, Darkfall Online shut down after a year of abandon from it's Indie Developer, Aventurine. leaving a small but passionate community in despair. A community for whom MMORPGs would be ruined forever. Or so they tought. (SFX: DUN-DUN-DUUUUN!!!) Read Spoiler for why it ruined MMORPGs for them A new company called Big Picture Games recently announced that they managed to secure a license to launch the game again as well as a little teaser. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X6WbGjCQ5uE As for me, I'm part of that community, I've tried many MMORPGs since then, many of which used PvP as a selling point but none of them actually delivered and I couldnt be more thrilled about it coming back. source: https://darkfallriseofagon.com/news/licensing-update/ second source: http://www.mmorpg.com/gamelist.cfm/game/1380/view/news/page/1/read/38500/Darkfall-Rise-of-Agon-Darkfall-Rise-of-Agon-Awarded-Licensing-for-Development.html

so with it being a new year and H1Z1 early access just around the corner. i decide to compile a list of survival games new and old that you guys might enjoy. (Links will accompany all games listed) in no particular order. H1Z1- (https://www.h1z1.com/home) this one is made by Sony which is why it has so much hype considering the majority of survival games are from indie dev's. Out of reach - (http://oorgame.com/) I've mentioned this one on another post, and although it resembles rust (*cough* as does every survival game) it look's interesting. Survive the nights - (http://survivethenights.net/) This is one sexy game that i doubt i could resist, with coverage from Frankie you can tell that this game is one to play. Salt - (https://saltthegame.com/) this one is nice change from the stock standard settings in survival games. set in what i could only presume is the pacific ocean with a tropical setting and PIRATES! aghh what could go wrong. Neo Scavenger- (http://bluebottlegames.com/main/node/2) this is a game i have played myself and i have to say i like it, it takes a different perspective on survival with the game play being turn based. This war of mine - (http://www.11bitstudios.com/games/16/this-war-of-mine) A survival game that pulls at the heart strings, it takes the perspective of civilians stuck in between a war. and last but not least. No Man's Sky - (http://www.no-mans-sky.com/about/) WOW!....all i can say these are all from the top of my head. so sorry if i missed one. feel free to comment a survival game you cant wait for.

It's not about the violence. It's not about the sex. It's about messing around; driving around and exploring. There is so much fun to be had in GTA. This is why I have III and IV. I want V because the world is so much bigger, there are so many cool environments in V. I love racing around in these games. Does anyone agree? What do you think?

Mods could you please move this Thread to LFG as it is more LFG than general PC gaming. Hey guys! I'm an avid player of Wurm Online and I thought I'd bring the game that I love to your attention, or maybe you're looking for another game to get addicted to. What is Wurm Online? Wurm Online is a fantasy/medieval themed sandbox game that is free to play forever but your free account will have a skill cap of 20 out of 100 (more on this later). Wurm Online is a game where you can live in the woods, grow your crops and tend to your stock. Wurm Online is a game where you could live in a deed (Player made town, more on this later) and become a great chain smith (or plate mail, or weapons etc.). Wurm Online is a game of endless possibilities backed up by an even greater and dedicated community. Why should I care? You should care if you are tired with games where you can't 'connect' with the players you are playing with. When you search for a game in say a CoD or Battlefield you hardly ever play with the same people and have a fresh experience each time. Wurm has a very, very small community (Probably under 20,000 players, pretty sure a lot less.) and you get to know people on your map fairly well. Every time you log in you will be able to go "Morning Jerimiah! How's the crops coming along?, Need any help keeping animals out?" or "Oh, hello Jeff! Didn't see you there! Have you got any rope I can buy off you?". That's the kind of community Wurm is. A community that you won't fit into straight away but after some time of journeying around and talking to players, you will feel more at home and part of the 'family'. Not another game with skills... how is Wurm different? Wurm is based around Skills. Now you might be saying, not another game with lists of skills... Fear not, Wurm improves upon the skill system significantly! Rather than having to get to level 25 to be able to 'unlock' smithing long swords all you need is a good Quality Anvil and some ore so that you have a chance (which is a % out of 100, 6% is the minimum to make something craft-able) to make the long sword, none of this get to level 25 to unlock a long sword!! That's not to say a higher weapon smithing won't allow you to make better swords but it's the combination of the quality (how 'good' something is. 99 is best, 1 is worst) of the objects you are using to make something. Need to improve that sword? Time to heat it up and temper the blade. Tempered the blade? Use a Whetstone to improve it some more. What are the controls? WASD to move as usual, clicking and dragging the mouse makes you look around (easy to get used to after a while) and there is no jumping either. Interacting with the world is done via clicking and drop down menus. This 'Wurm Online' game sounds interesting but why should I play? If you are looking for a game where you can be you, literally, then you should download Wurm now and try it out. It's free after all. Still not convinced? Somewhere inside that organic body of yours is a mind that is longing to be creative in a sandbox game where you can build, explore and have a great time with your friends. I will be embedding a YouTube video in this thread of me talking about Wurm and showing it off when I get the time too. You mentioned that this is Free to play, Forever?? Short answer: Yes. Long answer: You will have a skill cap of 20 out of 100 and that's it if you play for free. No other restrictions. For something like 10 Euros a month you get premium, some coins (which you can use to buy some nice gear from fellow players) and a referral so that a friend of yours can get one month of Premium free (This is a one time thing though). You can earn you way for Premium in-game though! I can pay for premium time just by playing? Yes you can. You just need to do jobs for other players who will pay you in coins which you can use to buy premium time. Once you get a skill to a good level (say 40-50) you can make money easily buy selling whatever you craft by that skill. Therefore you are actually playing for free! [spoiler=Righto, this 'Wurm Online' game sounds pretty awesome, I'd like to play!] 1) Simply visit their site and click the play button: http://wurmonline.com/ Make sure to register an account for the game too! If you want to play with me (and other LTTF members) you need to do the following when IN-GAME: 1) Complete the tutorial up to the point where it asks you which server cluster you want to go to. 2) Go to either of the portals, examine it (by right clicking, examine) and checking if the portal goes to the EPIC or FREEDOM ISLES. 3) If the portal says Freedom Isles, go to the other portal. If it says Epic you are at the right portal. 4) Enter the portal and make sure you choose: Serenity as the server/world Jenn-Kellon as the race 5) Welcome to Serenity! Talk in local chat and ask for Covanent or anyone at DNPA (Dept. of New Player Assistance) and say you joined Wurm because of Samotage, some one in the village will then talk to you. OR/AND Type "/t samotage" without the quotes and you will then be in a chat window with me if I am on. 6) You are now playing Wurm Online with Samotage! Thanks for taking an interest in my post and I hope I have convinced you to play Wurm Online (maybe with me too!). - Samotage, long time player of Wurm (Over 700+ Hours).

Ok, so... hi... I have a problem on my pc that hit me recently wich is probably a virus but, on my laptop, EVERY MINUTE (it really is every 58~61 seconds) the pc has a slight freeze to everything, even sound and no, its not that thing where the sound stops, its a freezing that causes the sound to repeat over and over again in like the last ms of sound the pc produced. Now, I put my anti-virus searching, it got 14 viruses on a sandbox that I never used (the sandbox is actually legit) so I am guessing it was a breach in security, but I am used to get those AdWares like Webcake n stuff, but this time its different, I got "BrowserProtect" and that thing was the cause of all those viruses stated before, however, the AV didn't remove everything and SOMEHOW it got into my registry, it was giving me an error that said the file was not found EVERY MINUTE at the same time as the little freezes would happen, so I took 2H to find it in the "Services" and disable it (It was in auto start). Everything should be fine now, right? Wrong - The freezes still happen even tho the errors that were appearing at the same time as them do not appear anymore. And now, because of this its driving me crazy, I've been looking for the root of this ALL DAY(no joke, this thing is really annoying for games and music even tho its a 0.1sec freeze the sound it makes is awfull and hurts my brain). I seriously need help with this, tell me something else that could cause this problem! Please! FunFact(kinda): "BrowserProtect" Never activated any of its functions (google is your best friend). I used MEMTest and it got nothing. BTW, if the 1st answer that comes to your mind is whipe everything and install again, please try other solutions, I would take 5 full days to download everything again with this connection (don't have fiber). (Sorry for any english inconvenience, I am just a guy from Europe looking for help)
