Hello everyone, I'm reaching out because I've run into a persistent issue with my PC that's been giving me quite a headache. I'm hoping that someone here might have encountered something similar or could provide some insight. I haven't been able to find any issues like mine, but maybe it's just a googling issue. Two months ago, my PC started having boot issues. The motherboard LEDs indicated a VGA error, and no amount of reseating components seemed to fix it. Occasionally, clearing the CMOS would allow me to boot into Windows, and once I was in, everything worked perfectly. However, if I turned off the PC, it was a toss-up whether it would boot up again. I found some threads suggesting that the PCI-E slot on my old motherboard might fail over time, so I upgraded to an Asus Prime B-550 plus. The first boot went smoothly, but the next day, the VGA error returned. This issue has persisted across both motherboards. Now, I'm stuck in a frustrating cycle: I have to repeatedly restart my PC, sometimes for up to 45 minutes, until it finally boots and displays. Once the PC is on, I can restart it, and it boots up without any issues. Here's a rundown of the troubleshooting steps I've taken: - Reflashed BIOS - Removed one stick of RAM and switched them around - Tried different RAM - Tried a different GPU - Tried a different CPU - Cleared CMOS - Enabled and disabled resizable bar - Turned off and on fast startup - Reseated every component My PC specs are as follows: - GPU: RTX 3070 - CPU: Ryzen 7 5700x - RAM: DDR4 3200 MHz - Motherboard: Asus Prime B-550 plus - OS: Windows 11 I'm really at a loss here, so any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Having an issue with a new PC build. After I power it on it runs through boot sequence and runs through all the LED indicators on motherboard, then within about 5 seconds of launching BIOS or start g Windows 11 USB install it powers off. Then if I try to power it back on it dies sooner, only. Making it thru 1 or 3 of the boot sequence leds on the motherboard. If I turn off power supply and let power drain and then powr back on it will make it thru boot sequence leds, begin to try to install windows again and does a few seconds later. I've checked all cable contacts, I have tried swapping out ram from another machine I have, tried using a different video card, moved video card to another pcie slot. Completely baffled at this point. Possibly a bad power supply or cpu? Thanks in advance for any help! Components listed below... I am building a new PC using the AMD Ryzen 7 7700X and the MSI RX 6900XT 16GB GAMING Z TRIO because I was able to obtain this graphics card for a very affordable price from a friend. Additionally, I plan to use the CORSAIR DOMINATOR PLATINUM RGB 32GB (2x16GB) DDR5 5600MHz Kit. As for the monitor, I am considering either a 1080P 165Hz or a 2K 165Hz display. My main question is whether this build will be sufficient for my needs, specifically for gaming, or if there will be any bottlenecks.

Current System Specs: CPU: i7 6700k Mobo: Asus Prime z270-p RAM: 32gb Corsair Vengeance LPX ( 3 sticks of 2666Mhz and 1 stick of 2400 Mhz ), bought 3 stick after sometime PSU: Thermal take DPSG 750W SSD: Samsung 970 evo 500gb Hdd: WD Green 1Tb GPU: Gigabyte 1660ti Monitor: HP Z30i 30" ( 2560x1600, 70 hz) Cooler: Stock Hey Guys! I want to ask Which parts should i choose to upgrade my system. I am an Engineer/Freelancer by profession and use these software like almost 12 hrs a day. ( Solid woks, Fusion 360, Rhinoceros, AutoCAD ), Also i am learning Adobe suite ( Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign etc )to enhance my skills which will help me a lot in my freelance product design career and also i am working on blender ( planning to use that for mostly renderings in like 0.5- 1year). For Gaming I normally play Single Player AAA games. Now with the increase in workload on big project, i think i might need to update my system, which will give me some advantage in mostly working ( gaming in not my biggest concern at the moment ) The Choices I have: Scenario 1: CPU: i9 10850k ( 531 usd ) Mobo: Any Good Mobo for it Cooler: Noctua NH-D15s Other Components: Old Components ( except i will change my 2400mhz Ram to 2600mhz ) Scenario 2: CPU: 5800x ( 578usd ) Mobo: Any good mobo for it Cooler: Noctua NH-D15s Other Components: Old Components ( except i will change my 2400mhz Ram to 2600mhz ) Scenario 3: CPU: i7 10700k Mobo: Good mobo ( definitely it will be cheaper then the i9 one ) Cooler: Noctua NH-D15s Other Components: Old Components ( except i will change my 2400mhz Ram to 2600mhz ) Questions: I will upgrade my GPU in future when the stock is available ( Which one should i choose ? ). Should I save my money by choosing scenario 3 and spend that on GPU. Should I use my old rams ( the 3 2666 mhz are 1.5 years old ) and will change my low mhz ram to match the other 3 ? Or should i Change all of them to get the higher clock speed one. Can you guys recommend me good mobo for each scenario Note: Money is not an issue at all. but all i want is to utilize it in a best way possible. so that i will be able to work on it for 2-3 years or maybe more. I just don't want to overspend my money. Kind Regards

Thermals are my bottleneck. So I bought a pre build as didnt want to mess up a build. A Rog ASUS tower - RTX 2060super. ryzen 7, 16gb ram, 256SSD 2 TB HDD. My biggest issue is thermals and data . Whille under load, max settings im hitting 70c plus on both cards regually with settings optimized using nvidea, this can be brought to a more stable 50-60c when turning off certain settings in game or taking side panels off and pointing a desk fan on full wack at the cards. Same in Flight sim, Forza 4, minecraft with shaders, GTA5 (non modded), even the Outer Worlds. Cities skylines casued 85c spike!! I cant modify hardware or install msi afterburner until that warrenty expires. So its window open, fans on and cold fingers. Even so I am concerned and do not wish to push the system for longer stints gaming, for fear of damaging the lifespan of my parts before I can rectify the inadeqaute cooling. Removing side panel works to drop temps but increases dust buildup. My 2nd big issue is every gaming program wants to be on the SSD. Origin, Steam, Xbox, Epic. All needed to be manually moved to the HDD drive, or the SSD constanty spins the HDD looking for data. Im looking at you Rockstar and Epic Launcher. Windows also needed modifying to allow regedit and various shut down commands using shut up 10 to stop windows constantly using data, and updating/sending feedback from programs which needed to be stored on the HDD. My games look amazing however running decent FPS, it just starts to bottleneck after a few hours as temps build :( I just need loads more ram, and water cooling oh and a massive SSD. Then i can play 12 hour sessions without fear of melting my cards! My questions; 1. Is 50c a normal temp for ryzen 7 at idle? Is 70/80c for RTX 2060 causing lifespan damage? 2. Should i be concerned about the length of time I am allowing the temps to sit this high during gaming sessions? 3. Will removing the side panel for better airflow just lead to a quicker dust buildup that impacts my cooling? 4. In order to have an effiecent quiet gaming machine that I can hear my self think over, is water cooling my only choice? Thanks for reading! Get Native

My Laptop freezes up while on Zoom, in nearly every meeting, at least once every 30minutes. I realise it could be all drivers and or bios settings or which app uses which gpu etc, but I have no idea where to start Ryzen 7 5800H cpu AMD radeon iGPU NVidia RTX3070 dGPU ASUS TUF Gaming A15 - Jan 2021 64GB RAM 3TB NVME storage Titan Army 34" UHD 144hz 8k USB-C cable to DP UHD 144hz monitor, previously I was using 4k hdmi-hdmi cable. There was a slight difference in the effect that these cables had. The HDMI caused the secondary screen to just shutdown. the new 8k cable does not do that but now the laptop screen sometimes stops for a long period. often I have to shut down Zoom. My machine was telling me applications were running on the iGPU, and it was only games that were running on the dGPU. Seemingly my machine is designed to switch between them. How is this meant to work is it worth the power saving to run the iGPU. normally on my desktop I turn it off. I want to use the Laptop mainly for Software Dev, and biz apps. But regularly I use it to game. Gaming it seems to go OK. But the regular pattern of Zoom calls hanging is still consistently there. I do not know where to start, my retailer said I needed a good USB-C cable but that did not work. I am not a power user but I know enough to be dangerous.

Budget (including currency): Roughly 750-1000 Country: U.S. Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Streaming; RDR2, GTAV, DBD, Phas, etc. Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Hey guys! I'm lookin' to upgrade some components in my current build. It IS my first build, so go easy on me. I've upgraded some parts over the years, but I'd like to know your opinions! (I'll include some pictures. Some current, some before the upgrades) List: Motherboard: ASrock - X370 Killer SLI/AC GPU: Sapphore Radeon Nitro+ RX 590 x 8GB 3200 Mhz CPU: Ryzen 7 2700 Cooling: Corsair iCUE H100i Elite Capellix (recent upgrade) RAM: XPG - Spectrix D60G 4x8GB 3200Mhz (2nd Recent Upgrade) HDD: WD Blue 1TB SSD: x1 Seagate Barracuda 500GB & x1 WD Black M.2 1TB (Annnd not that it matters; an NZXT h500 case.) Not entirely sure what TO upgrade? Perhaps the x2 120mm fans. I'm not really in the market for a new GPU, and the 590 hasn't given me issues. What do you lot think?

I came across this wonderful motherboard for my planned NAS build: https://www.asrockrack.com/general/productdetail.asp?Model=X570D4I-2T#Specifications The CPU I'd like to use is Ryzen 7 PRO 5750GE, which has everything I want in a NAS CPU: powerful, very low cooler requirements, integrated GPU for transcoding, and supports a whole bunch of enterprise features (ECC RAM support and others) I'd like to experiment with. I wonder, however, whether the motherboard will support the CPU? 5750GE is not listed in the CPU support list, however the MB's specs say it supports Ryzen PRO 5000 series CPUs, and it supports every single G CPU variant with its corresponding GE and PRO GE counterparts. All except the 5750GE which should be identical to the 5700GE (except the latter doesn't support the extra features I mentioned, and the only GE CPU I can buy locally is the 5750GE). My intuition says the CPU should be supported, but I can't know whether the motherboard has a whitelist of sort to check a CPU and only POST if it's present. What do you think?

Hello, I am having problems with my motherboard. I am assuming it is the Bios as when I reset the bios, the computer then starts functioning normally. After a bit of time has passed, issues start occurring on the computer itself, for example, poor loading and instability issues in terms of ethernet, but after when I reset the computer, it will black screen and will not boot again until I reset the bios sometimes it will show just a black screen with a line on the top and stay like that until I reset again afterwards it will not boot again until a bios reset has occurred. I want to note that I do OC on the memory (XMP) and the CPU. The CPU just gets increased GHz to 3.7, and the memory receives an XMP of 3600. I also turn off cool and quiet mode in the bios. I am unsure of what is causing the issue, but I imagine it is one of my settings? Enjoy this one bc I cannot think what it could be lol Info: Motherboard B450M Gaming - Bios F62d CPU ryzen 1700 Win 11 Nvidia GT 1030 DDR4 Water cooled single rad (temps are stable idle 37c) PSU TX 950 Watt

I have a B450 tomahawk max mobo with a R5 2600. I was looking at the used market and time to time a 2700 or 3700 shows up. I want to start streaming a bit and video edit more often. Which of these two processors should I pick over the other? is the 2700x still that great? the prices can be similar considering some folks would trade for my old R5 2600.

Country: Philippines CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5700G Motherboard: Asus TUF GAMING X570-PLUS (WI-FI) ATX Memory: Team T-FORCE DELTA 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 Storage: Corsair MP400 1 TB M.2-2280 Hi there! Hope that someone can help me with this. I recently built my own 1st CPU and knew that a BIOS update would be required in order to run the CPU that I bought together with the MB. The downside is that the MB doesn't have a BIOS Flashback button and when I booted the system up, it's not communicating with one another (even just to load the BIOS setup screen). The reason I asked here is because Linus just released a video using the same MB and CPU Series that I'm using but did not cover the part where a BIOS update was done in order to run the system (or he might just have skipped it in the vid, IDK). With that, does it mean that the only way is to find a Ryzen 4000 or 3000 Series first, update the BIOS, then install the CPU that I bought? My parts list is below:

This is for upgrading Budget (including currency): ~620€ give or take Country: Germany Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Main focus is gaming (newer AAA etc.), however it'll be also used for compiling and occasional 3d rendering Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I'm currently running a GTX 1070 with an I7 4790 and 16 gb if ddr3. While not bad I wanted to build a new PC but since GPUs are hard to come by for a reasonable price I just want to upgrade since I find myself more often then not CPU limited. (Monitors: 1080p at 144hz and 1080p at 60hz) I am planning to stick with my Corsair carbide 600c case, my 650 watt power supply, my PCIe WiFi card as well as my 4 sata drives and my sata DVD drive. And get an M.2 nvme SSD later down the line. I wanted to get an Ryzen 7 5800x to in the future pair with an RTX 3070 or the equivalent on the market when prices come down. I'm not sure however if the Ryzen 7 would present the best value or an Ryzen 5 5600x would be good enough and at over 100€ less present a significantly better price to performance ratio. My current shopping list/plan is as follows: Ryzen 7 5800x (~ 379,00€) Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 3200MHz (~ 72,90€) However I'm not sure on the mainboard. The current contenders are: MSI MPG B550 Gaming Plus (~ 113,00€) Asus ROG Strix B450-F Gaming II (~ 107,90€) ASUS ROG Strix B550-F Gaming(~ 171,90€) with the latter on being significantly more expensive and I was wondering whether the second one which I'm tending towards is suited for it. Are there better price to performance boards I missed. Moreover I would need a new CPU cooler. I'm not sure what to get. Nocuta is good but not exactly cheap. What would be suitable coolers air or aio for around 60-70€. Should I stick to my Ryzen 7 plan or would you recommend another CPU and if not what would be an advisable mainboard and cooler combo?

I am going to be rather blunt here. On my ASUS ROG X570 Crosshair VIII Hero a USB port died. I sent it into ASUS for repairs, and now they are claiming physical damage (that no one says they did), a voided warranty, and well repairs that cost more than a new board. I think we can all imagine my feelings on this. I am looking for a board by a competitor that has the same specs. Please post here, since unless ASUS honors the warranty then they can keep the board!

Hello, recently i started having overheat problem with my ryzen 7 2700x cpu, 3 days ago everything was fine, but 2 days ago my computer shut down. At first i did not know what was the problem, but when i restarted i run some tests and saw that on lite load cpu goes over 90 Celsius and over 100 with 90%-100% load. I dismounted cooler, clean it and changed thermal paste, that fixed the problem a bit so now on heavy load it goes under 90 Celsius mostly. But last year even with hot summer and high room temperatures did not go over 80 Celsius average. Per suggestion i decided to load bios defaults but then my pc got stuck at post screen. Even after battery removal and after that with CMOS clear it still does not get to post screen. Motherboard is msi b450m pro m2 max. Any further suggestions!?!? Thanks.

First time building a pc and I have never been more pissed when ryzen 5 3400g & 3 3200g goes out of stock in my country because of demands. The only thing that most store have is athlon 3000g and the a10-9700. Now which one that yall recommend the most ? (since those 3400g/3200g is out of stock i upgrade my ram into 3200mhz 2x8Gb ram) *Reminder that i only play decent spec game like team fortress 2, war thunder, csgo and such. But i also want to try games from my console like genshin impact, apex legend, resident evil 2 remastered into my first pc to see how good it is also sorry for my bad english

I need to cool a Ryzen 7 3800x better than my stock cooler does. It gets to 70-87c under full load apex and YouTube for example. I have a small case and I can only have a 240mm radiator but there is plenty of airflow to it.

Hey guys, so I have a Ryzen 7 2700x, Zotac GTX 1660 Ti, Gigabyte aorus b450, Ripjaws 16 Gb Ram, Blue 1 TB Storage pc build. The problem is it is getting unheard of terrible frames. 30-80 frames on Valorant, 40-60 on minecraft, 40-70 on 2k20. I also used to have a problem of Windows and my pc crashing. I took my pc to a PC Repair Facility (Canada Computers) and they returned my pc with new ram and no more crashing, though the frames problem still wasn't fixed. The day after I got it back I saw the problem wasn't fixed so I did a benchmark test. The results are attached to the post. Is the problem the CPU as the test suggests or could it be something else, for example my motherboard. Thanks to anyone willing to help!

I ordered an HP Victus 16 laptop specifically the Ryzen 7 5800H model with the RTX 3060 and I am an Indian resident. This variant as of now is released in India and a few other places however I couldn't find it in canadian online stores. So I was wondering if HP Canada would provide hardware warranty services, or even just straight up pay to repair. As I may be moving there in a few months to a year. Please advise as I don't want to spend a fortune on something I can't get repaired down the road as I plan to use it for the next 4-6 years. The laptop is on its way but I can return in till the end of next week.

Hello am trying to OC my computer to 3.9 GHZ but when I change this to 3.9 it black screens and I I to reset the Bois am pretty sure it's a voltage issue BC that's the only thing I've not touched however I don't know what to set that too for the motherboard, I have a Ryzen 7 1700, 950w PSU, 32gb of 3600 MHz ram
