Hello everyone, so I recently got a SOYO RX 5700 XT from AliExpress. I knew beforehand it was a gamble, and kinda expected the card to underperform. What I did not expect is a detached substrate stiffener, I found out this morning when trying to replace the thermal paste. My question is can it be fixed / attached ? And How ? GPU works btw, runs a bit hot but works.

My current build An Asus PRIME H610M-R Motherboard Antec HCG-750w Gold An Intel I5 12400 16gb Ram 2 HDD and 2 SSD ASUS ROG Strix Radeon RX 5700 XT OC Edition So I am in the process of putting in a second hand ASUS ROG Strix Radeon RX 5700 XT OC Edition that I just bought, and I am having an issue posting. This is the first time I am putting a graphics card in my system, I used to use the igpu. My install process was downloading the driver "Adrenalin 23.12.1" (they updated it yesterday after I downloaded, but I have now also tried Adrenalin 24.1.1. Still same issue). Running ddu in safe mode with Ethernet disconnected, clean and shutdown. Then I put the GPU in. I can't really say I heard a loud click, but I have tried and tried again without forcing, and it seems in there. I then plugged in mouse, monitor and keyboard and switched on. It posted fine, so I ran the driver install., and then opened harwaremonitor to look at temps, which were around 50C. My screen started flickering black and then through one of the flashes I saw a blue screen, but I couldn't read it fast enough and it switched off. Switched it on again, wouldn't post. Took the GPU out and ran off of the igpu and it posted. Ran ddu again, reinstalled the GPU and tried to switch on but no post. There is power going to everything I checked the cables, the fans are spinning and there are LEDs on the GPUs near the power cables that are on. I assume it's a driver issue, seeing that it happened after I ran the installer. What should my next step in troubleshooting be? I appreciate the help. Edit: So I managed to fix it myself, and here is an update on what I did. So, using the integrated graphics, I booted into windows. In device manager, there were a few devices with yellow exclamation marks, see attached picture. I looked up their dev and Ven numbers and found out what they are for. Alder lake-s pch spi controller, Alder lake-s pch serial io i2c controller #0, Alder lake-s pch SMBus Controller, Volume management device NVMe RAID Controller. I then found the drivers on the respective websites, installed them and ran Windows update, which then found what I think was a motherboard firmware update (it wasn't found by Windows update before). I restarted and Asus EZ flash3 utility ran automatically. After it was done, I shut down the pc and inserted the new graphics card. The system booted into windows and I ran the AMD adrenalin installer to get the gpu driver, choosing to do a factory reset for the drivers. Now it is running great. I hope this helps someone else having the same problem.

Short version: I'm painting my GPU to be white to match my build and I want my gpu fans to match too. But, painting the fans will mess with it, which I dont want. So what do I do? Do I buy white fans? Do I paint them and deal with it? Or do leave them alone? I don't know! Long version: I have an XFX RX 5700 XT and I'm in the middle of giving it a white/silver themed custom paint job. In addition the to the shroud and backplate, I'd also like to have the gpu fans white to match the color palette (they are currently black). I've done some digging and from what I've found it can be a bit risky to do that because the paint will mess with the balancing of the fan and mess with the noise and such which I'd like to avoid. If that's the case, It looks like I have 3 options: 1) I buy some white gpu replacement fans to use for my graphics card. 2) I paint my current gpu fans and deal with the consequences. 3) I leave them as they are and deal with the mismatch. I'd really prefer to have the fans match the color scheme, but I'd prefer not to mess things up for my gpu. Any thoughts?

Hey everyone. I have an Asrock RX 5700 XT challenger, with an Arctic Xtreme IV cooler, and I'm not happy with the VRAM temperature (56C on idle and +88C on load with a 890 mV undervolt). The main issue is that it's not possible to properly cool two VRAM modules (the mounting covers them, and thermal pads/only leaving half of the modules covered by a heatsink didn't help). So I decided to get a waterblock for it. My options are limited to Aliexpress only. I found this Bykski waterblock to be compatible with my GPU. But I'm a total newbie on assembling a water cooler from scratch, so what other components would I be needing? I know that I need a radiator (would like to get a 360mm for aesthetics purposes), 120mm fans (I will be using the ones from my case) and that I (might) need a tube (I assume that it should come with the waterblock, but I'm not sure), what else am I missing? Alternatively, the seller suggested for me to get a (much) more expensive kit, but it doesn't seem to have a 360mm option

Hi! I have Sapphire Nitro+ RX 5700 XT Special Edition GPU and i was offered a trade for Gigabyte Geforce RTX 3060 Gaming OC (12Gb) GPU. I Havent used many Geforce GPUˇs at all, i have been AMD fanboy for a long time, so i wanted to ask from people who maybe have more experience wiht both cards. Is there much performance difference and so on? Should i trade or is RX 5700 XT SE still better to keep? Thanks in advance

Hello everyone, I own my GPU for a while now, but I have not played many games... until now. Recently I wanted to give GTA V a try and downloaded it from the Epic Games store (got it for free). I was able to play the game with no issues for a while, but at some point there always appeared those weird crashes. My monitor turned green (or black), my mouse and keyboard stopped working and my PC decided to reboot on it's own. The first thing I did was doing research on my problem on Google, found a thread on the AMD forum discussing exactly my problem. Here is the solution I tried: https://community.amd.com/t5/drivers-software/rx-5700xt-green-screen-crashes/m-p/142074/highlight/true#M34674 It changed basically nothing, I wiped out all AMD Drivers and installed the recommended driver but everything stayed the same and my problem continued. I didn't want to give up, so I decided to try a few other methods. I activated the "AMD Ryzen High Performance Mode" in the Windows settings, again this changed absolutely nothing. I tried to wipe out all existing AMD drivers from my PC again and install the newest drivers recommended by AMD. Again, this changed absolutely nothing. The last thing I did was updating my BIOS from Version F40 to F62a... And yup you guessed it, nothing has changed. I don't know what else to try at this point, I thought the new AMD drivers would fix those problems but they didn't work for me. Many people on the thread from the AMD Forum fixed their problem by following the steps, but it didn't work for me. Do you guys have any other tips? I'd be super grateful. Here are my specs: GPU: 8GB Gigabyte Radeon RX 5700 XT GAMING OC 8G CPU: AMD Ryzen 3600 Mainboard: Aorus B450 Elite (https://www.gigabyte.com/de/Motherboard/B450-AORUS-ELITE-rev-1x/support#support-dl-driver) PSU: 600W be quit! I get black screens, but I can still hear the audio for a few seconds (and send audio on discord) after around 5 seconds the pc restarts. This happens when playing some games, but not others. It happens directly when trying to load into a CS:GO map or after a few min of playing Elite: Dangerous, while some other games and applications are fine (lol, Space Engineers) and run for hours without any problems. I do not believe it is a problem with any hardware, as in damaged PSU, etc, as I can run stress tests like Time Spy without any problems for extended periods. When the restart has occurred my second monitor is no longer active and I have to open device manager, select the GPU, update drivers and then my second monitor will come back online. I have tried using DDU to reinstall the latest drivers, and the drivers I had been using for the last few months. When looking at event logger nothing stands out to me other than a warning: "graphics driver amdwddmg has stopped responding and been reset" The games that have crashed have been on different drives. I was on older AMD drivers when this started, now I am on the latest stable version. Specs: OS: Windows 10 64x --- 19042.1165 CPU: Ryzen 7 3700X GPU: RX 5700 XT MOB: MSI X570 MPG GAMING PLUS --- BIOS: A.90 RAM: 16 GB G.Skill trident 3200 Mhz CL 16 PSU: Seasonic 750W Drives: Kingston A2000 1TB (2x) Seagate 1TB WD Blue 1TB

Ok this may be dumb but I think I may have an issue. I got this card a few months ago and put it into my i7 6700k build from a few years ago. All worked great. Well it was time to test the waters with the ryzen system. I got the 5600x as well as the b550-e from asus and built this a few days ago. I realized that the gpu fans are not spinning or staying on like it was on my i7 with the z170 classified k board. How can I go about turning them on to always on instead of having them kick on automatic. I looked in the bios and can’t seem to find anything. When I first boot the system up they spin but when win 10 loads they quit. I have been using intel for about 10 years not and left amd. I don’t know if this is a amd thing or not. any help would be great as I can’t really find anything online and asus website isn’t much help either.

so basically i have this pc i built my self, Ryzen 7 3700x and a asrock challenger Rx 5700xt, when I play games like cyberpunk right now and war Thunder i get a high fps but it's so freaking choppy when I play(nvm I fixed it i had to turn on Vysnc), i have 144hz freesync monitors, i also have 32 gb 3200 mhz ram with a super good psu and airflow in my case, it's also all dust free(i clean it a lot) but the main reason I need help is why my temps reach 102 degrees Celsius and chill there forever, it scares me bro and I have my gpu fans on 100, its loud and still getting hot, and supposedly the max gpu temp is 80 c while I reach 100 c,

Hello friends, I recently decided to upgrade my GPU and purchased the powercolor rx 5700 xt red devil To replace the old RX 480. I plugged in the new card and turned on the computer. The computer worked and even went into Windows I heard the "Welcome to Windows" sound, But without display at any BOOT stage... By the way it looks the card itself works when you turn on the computer the fans and lights of the GPU work The monitor is connected with a DP cable And I tried every DP Connection on the card and there is no display Things I've tried to do so far (That did not help ) 1.Complete deletion of video card drivers and softwareׁׁ(Used amd cleanup utility ) 2.I updated the motherboard BIOS to the latest version 3.I screamed into a pillow HARDWERE ROG STRIX X370-F GAMING G.SKILL FLAREX DDR4 2400Hz 8x2 ryzen 7 1700 rx 480 8g evga 750 gq Operating System windows 7 ultimate SP1 And I'm not sure if it matters but my monitor is a gigabyte m27q I would greatly appreciate any advice and help that would help me fix the problem before the 10th Update: I reconnected the card and again did not get a display I disconnected the DP cable and connected an HDMI cable and it works!!!! I have a display now I just need to understand why the DP does not work Update 2: After the drivers have been updated the DP connection works. I guess that's all that was needed to plug in the card in HDMI and install drivers and update them and that's it Thanks so much to everyone for the help

TL;DR: What programs should I look at to double-check any settings on my video card which might be throttling its performance? GPU: Sapphire Pulse RX 5700XT (with latest drivers, 20.12.1) CPU: Ryzen 7 3700X RAM: 16 GB DDR4-3200 OS: Windows 10 Pro, build 18363 Cyberpunk 2077 is running extremely poorly for me, but when I put in a temp and usage overlay with Afterburner + RTSS, it's showing appalling underuse of the hardware. Seriously man, 23% GPU usage at 17 FPS?!? There are occasional bursts where it'll get up to near-max GPU usage, and the framerate will get up into a more sensible 60+ FPS range. But these are short, transient, and impossible to reproduce. I've tried applying the CP2077 community Performance Overhaul patch (which resolves a low default RAM and VRAM allocation, among other things). But that hasn't changed the performance in-game. So I'm trying to figure out if there's some power-draw limit, thermal limit, or other performance setting somewhere that's causing this behavior. Surely it can't be normal. I must have goofed around in the UEFI or Afterburner ages ago and not hit that limit until this game. But for now I can't find anything that explains why the CPU and GPU are so underused when I'm gaming. I can share performance logs from HWInfo or configs from various programs, but I really just don't know where to start. Any suggestions are much appreciated.

First time here ...appreciate your swarm intelligence ... It is now more than 1 year, that AFFINITY PHOTO, DARKTABLE and LUMINAR are not working with my AMD RX 5700XT. After 8 AMD driver updates I surrender. Will never work. OKAY. But 1 Question: Do the newer AMD GPUs (eg 6800) WORK with AFFINITY, DARKTABLE or LUMINAR? Will I still be running at 100% CPU only, and 1% GPU? Do I have to switch next to RTX 3070s? Any recommendations welcome ...

FPS is great (around 100 FPS on Ultra), but game is crashing when downloading shaders or when I enter the match (in the plane). I am looking every day If new drivers were released (just installed 20.3.1) So can you help me fix crashes or at least Call of duty crashes ? Thank you !!! I'm building my roommate a PC, and we've hit a price spike between paychecks, so I'm wondering if we can save a bit of money by getting 2 RX580s instead of a 5700xt. For context, his use case is Autocad and light 3D modeling, with a little bit of gaming on the side. This is the 580 I'm considering https://pcpartpicker.com/product/y2DzK8/sapphire-radeon-rx-580-8gb-pulse-video-card-11265-05 This is the 5700xt I'm considering https://pcpartpicker.com/product/6kdrxr/gigabyte-radeon-rx-5700-xt-8-gb-gaming-oc-video-card-gv-r57xtgaming-oc-8gd The core question is what the performance impact of 2 RX580s in Crossfire would be compared to a single RX5700xt? Also, if anyone has the time to explain the reasoning to me, I'd greatly appreciate it!

So I recently bought a Gigabyte RX 5700 XT Gaming OC GPU, but when I compare my benchmarks to some I’ve seen on YouTube and other sites and such, it performs well lower, like ~30% lower sometimes. I would just like to know what is causing this?My best guess is that something is bottlenecking me but I don’t think I’m savvy enough to know for sure or by what, or maybe something else is wrong? Really don’t know. Thank you. specs Gigabyte RX 5700 XT Gaming OC Intel i7-6700k Corsair Vengeance lpx 16gb Corsair RMx 650w MSI B150M Mortar

After about two weeks of learning (just built my first ever PC) I wanted to share my results with my gpu. I couldn't find any reliable information about anyone else with this card on YouTube, or any internet forums for that matter The leading video has a dude underclocking his by 65 MHz. I've heard of undervolting to get lower temps, but underclocking to get more FPS? No thanks. Voltage: 1200 Power: +20(max allowed) Core Clock: 2114 MHz (+50 over stock OC) Mem Clock: 1800 MHz (+50 over stock) Fan: User curve up to 100% at 50°c I got about a 9.5% boost to my benchmark scores in Heaven, Time Spy, and Fire Strike. More importantly, my gaming is not crashing and is able to run 4k 60FPS(THE Outer Worlds). About 5.5% of my boost was surprisingly from adjusting ONLY the power and fan curve, leaving the core at 2064 and memory at 1750. MSI Afterburner was definitely the best to do this with, as Adrenalin seems to reset settings every time you boot. My monitor is 4k 60 hz for anyone curious as to o why I stated those benchmarks. I will be transitioning to a new monitor in the next couple months to do 1440/144. I now have overclocked my CPU, my RAM, and my GPU. and I have never been more satisfied with an accomplishment (as far as hobbies go, I love my kids and family).

Hi, Being inspired by Linus's Hackintosh and Windows on the same machine video, I'm intrigued to do the same and take my place in the rows of PC Gaming. Now, I already own an MBP 15" Late 2016, a PS4 Pro with PS VR and a 1gbit internet connection. So, after some second-hand research, I got my hands on a Dell Poweredge R720XD with 2x Xeon E5-2690 and 64GB DDR3 1600MHz and started for searching the GPU(s). Seeing that Nvidia outperforms AMD for gaming, and also my interest in building a Hackintosh (and get an iPad Pro to connect to the Hackintosh remotely if I need the horsepower), I thought of having two GPUs (thanks Apple for not supporting Nvidia). But budget-wise I cannot buy two GPUs at the same time, and gaming has the priority since I already have a Mac. In addition to this, I learned that Nvidia would likely release their new GPUs somewhere in September. Now, I don't want to wait until September but buying 2080ti at the moment doesn't seem logical as well. Since I can live with MacOS High Sierra if I go with a Hackintosh (don't need to at the moment though), I thought maybe 1080ti would be an option. So, here I am in between buying a second hand 1080ti for around €500 or a brand new PowerColor RX 5700 XT Red Devil for €470. 2070 Super would also be an option, but that's around €600-700, and I can't justify it since I will check the next-gen Nvidia GPUs. Given the situation, what would be your advice? Games that I play currently (on PS4 but most probably move to PC) - Witcher 3 - Red Dead Redemption II - Assassins' Creed Origins - Deus Ex - Horizon Zero Dawn
