Budget (including currency): €1700 Country: Irelanr Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: all paradox games basically, some rpg games like the witcher 3 and elden ring, maths graphing programs for college, some modelling programs for applied maths in college, some CAD for when Im 3d printing. Is this a sensible build? pc part picker link The price is all over the place. When I calculate it using some other suppliers that pc part picker doesn't use I'm getting a price of €1693.84 before VAT which I will not be paying as I'm buying it through a business. Thank you for any advice and help given in advance

Budget (including currency): My budget should hover around $1,000 (less is nice) USD for case, motherboard, CPU (intel or AMD, but I do like the idea of integrated graphics), CPU cooler, memory, and storage, as well as anything else y'all think is worth while. See "other details" to see what I already have. Country: America Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: I will use this PC for a lot of youtube and various internet browsing, but mostly some gaming (the borderlands franchise, dark souls 2 and 3, planet zoo, and other such "older" titles) to catch up to the AAA titles and possibly dip into them. Maybe some light playing around in blender, but nothing serious there. I still have a Lenovo Y510P that's my daily driver, and have finally saved enough money for my first tower in this crazy time. Other details I added a photo and link of my pc part picker list so far. Outside of what I need, I already have a monitor (BenQ GW2760S), keyboard (SteelSeries Apex 7 TKL red) , mouse (LG G403 hero), GPU (strix 1080 OC), and a 650watt 80plus gold power supply (my buddy is giving it to me). Oh, I have an Xbox one controler, so I'm going to get a wierless adapter for that. I'm seeing them for $25 or so usd (forgot about that in pc part picker). I'm going full air cooled and I'm pretty much set on the beQuiet! pure base 500dx, but will take suggestions if y'all have them. I have a small data hording love, so if there's room for more storage, I'm interested (no worries if not). I'm kind of ignoring the price of windows 10 home right now, my buddy has a boot drive and all I need to buy is the widows key, so y'all can decide if you want to add that into the budget. I plan on getting a second monitor in the future, but as of right now my benQ is plenty for me. When I do add a second one, I will most likely focus on refresh rate and stick at 1080p for the quality unless I find a good deal on a 4k lg oled gaming tv, but that's for another discussion and more saving. I will do my best to respond despite my schedule, so if there are any questions please feel free to ask. Thanks in advance for all the help! https://pcpartpicker.com/list/KdGvMZ

I want to build a small form factor workstation, I'm buying used parts so there's a wide range of parts I'm willing to use so long as they're cheap enough. This is the "largest" extent of my plan, https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Boredome_________/saved/#view=9NPkJx Threadripper 3970x or better, eatx gigabyte or MSI, Quadro p4000 in a Lian Li O11 dynamic mini. What do you think of this plan? Budget (including currency): 2600 Country: usa Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: autocad, inventor, illustrator, VM, vpn, IPS, systems modelling Other details I have a Dell t5500 tower from which I'm pulling the Quadro p4000

I'm pushing my laptop near it's edge & it's nearly 3 years old so I think I should make the jump to PC & get the customization, control, & power I need, however, I think for losing mobility this pc should be x4 as capable as my laptop. The trouble arrives in that my laptop is a precision 7500 series with Xeon e5 2176m, 16gb ram, & a Quadro p1000. Preface: I can build PCs, I'm not a newb. This is meant to be a workstation so I do not want to spend extra for RGB/argb junk or wifi. I want to build a custom softline water loop for either of the below builds. Performance comes before aesthetics including cases, push comes to shove I can build a suitable case. In an ideal world, I build the pc on a sturdy aluminum test bench frame to one day be put into a pelican style case. I PLAN ON BUYING USED/OPEN BOX/REFURBISHED TO SAVE MONEY. Rounding down on the x4 target I have the Ryzen 9 5950x build. I'm not dead set on the mbd, psu, or m2 choices, if an equal or greater component is affordable (or you point out an error) I will change it. Sticking hard & fast to x4 or better is the Threadripper Pro 3975x build (pc part picker didn't show this exact cpu but it's the same socket). While obviously the superior build, even if I got the cpu cheap the motherboards are more expensive too. Again I'm not set on the mbd, psu, or m2 choices, if an equal or greater component is affordable (or you point out an error) I will change it. Also, this list I put in ecc ram because it just felt wrong to put non-ecc ram in a system that's ecc capable, if someone can explain why this is or is not a bad idea lmk. Budget (including currency): 2-2.5k Country: usa Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Inventor, Autocad, Stella Architect (& other systems modelling applications) vpn, ISP, Blackarch, some programming, editing 4k video, podcasting, no gaming

I'm using a Ryzen 5600X CPU with an ROG Strix B550-F Gaming ATX motherboard. I googled this combination and it is recommended as working together on several websites. However, PC part picker claims that "The Asus ROG STRIX B550-F GAMING (WI-FI) ATX AM4 Motherboard supports the AMD Ryzen 5 5600X 3.7 GHz 6-Core Processor with BIOS version 1004. If the motherboard is using an older BIOS version, upgrading the BIOS will be necessary to support the CPU." I don't want to ignore this warning, but I see no reason these shouldn't work well with each other. Will it be a problem if I have to update the BIOS when I first start the PC? This is my first build so still getting the hang of lots of stuff! Thanks.

Budget (including currency): $3,000 Country: US Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming, and editing Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Depending on the situation right now with products selling out, I'm not going to be able to build my pc just yet. Hopefully in the future I will! (Keep in mind that I have already bought the power supply, and the case.) https://pcpartpicker.com/list/2dR3NP

I'm building a pc for the first time, and I've been using PC Part Picker to check for issues/incompatibility. But I'd like the compatibility to be checked from experienced pc builders before I buy or do anything because I'm afraid that the website or I may have overlooked something. PC PART PICKER LINK: 2016 White Build Or if you'd rather see the parts listed (along with Amazon links for your convenience): CPU: Intel Core i7-6700K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor CPU Cooler: Enermax ETS-T40F-W 105.9 CFM Cooler Thermal Compound: Arctic Silver 5 High-Density Polysynthetic Silver 3.5g Thermal Paste Motherboard: Asus SABERTOOTH Z170 S ATX LGA1151 Motherboard Memory: Crucial Ballistix Sport LT 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2400 Memory Storage: Samsung 840 Pro Series 128GB 2.5" Solid State Drive Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 8GB SC Gaming ACX 3.0 Video Card Case: Phanteks Enthoo Luxe ATX Full Tower Case (Comes with: 1 x 200mm fan in front, 1x 140mm fan up top, and 1 x 140mm fan in the rear) Power Supply: EVGA SuperNOVA NEX 650W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 Home Full - USB 32/64-bit Keyboard: Corsair K70 LUX RGB Wired Gaming Keyboard Mouse: Corsair Scimitar RGB Wired Optical Mouse NOTE: The following parts are not included on PC Part Picker but these will also be included in the build. Monitor: ASUS MX279H 27" Full HD 1920x1080 IPS HDMI DVI Frameless Monitor Optical Drive: ASUS SDRW-08D2S-U/W/G/ACI/AS Computer International Direct External Slim White 8X DVD-RW - Stylish Diamond Cut Design External Slim DVD-RW Wireless WIFI Card/USB: Currently need help to choose one I'd also appreciate it if someone could look over the power supply. I've done research on how to choose a psu, but I became confused and randomly chose the cheapest one from a list on the website. I think it may be important to add that I would prefer a fully modular psu. I would like to get custom cables, so it would be very helpful to me if you could list which cables I would need to purchase as well. I used the Cooler Master Power Supply Calculator and here are my results: Load Wattage: 375 W Recommended PSU Wattage: 425 W Also, just in case you wanted another source's estimate... PC PART PICKER Estimated Load Wattage: 392 Any advice or recommendations is very much appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to help me out!

Budget (including currency): £2,000 GBP Country: UK Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: It's mainly a workstation PC will be used for design, video editing, 3D modelling - but also some games. Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): First-ever build for a creative that's been with Apple for decades. Currently using a 2016 Macbook Pro - 16GB ram. Don't need mouse or keyboard. I have a 1440p 144hz monitor but don't mind gaming at 1080p with a higher refresh rate. I included 3 SSDs for my Adobe scratch disk setup (might be a bit overkill to be honest): 1 for OS (gen 3 NVME) 1 for files (SATA SSD) 1 for scratch (gen 4 NVME) My main question is which GPU to choose. I've gone for 5700 XT as a best bang for buck option. But I'm tempted to save myself £100-ish and go for an EVGA 2060 - then upgrade next year at some point when the 30xx series or Big Navis are out and established. 5700 XT does also leave the door open a Hackintosh - but that's not a deal-breaker. Not really interested in water cooling, and I hear the Noctua D15 will more than keep the 3950x at bay. I'm not planning on overclocking in the near term but may try it out down the line. Budget is around £2,000. Does it make sense as a build? Still learning about a lot of this stuff. Thanks in advance. Hey I am currently getting a partlist for a plex server/nas I am wanting to build. The use case is 1-2 transcoded 1080p streams and possibly direct play 4k although maybe just another 1080p but direct.... Part list It currently has a g4560 cpu and I am wondering if that would be enough for my uses, it has a passmark of 4901. Also will be going with Windows server OS as freenas uses to much ram and also I have heard doesn't play nicely with plex.. I want this to be low cost build. Any recommendations or disagreements on hardware or software that I have chosen? Thanks!

I'm building my first PC and I'm buying the parts in the next few weeks. I want to see if I'm good in terms of my components. I can't be very flexible on the price, I'm trying to stay near $850 USD (I know I don't have a cooler, I wont be doing much overclocking so I think the wraith spire should be fine) My Stuff: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/bXkBcY
