Hello forums! I have a nexus 9 (WiFi) and this morning I installed the 2017/4 security update for my device (just pressed the notification, clicked install) but than after doing some things, it stared showing the white "Google" logo for a few seconds and than nothing (bootloop). I have entered the recovery mode and: -Wiped the cache partition -Factory reset but after finishing these two things, it went to a bootloop again. I found a possible solution (http://androidflagship.com/19297-fix-android-n-bootloop-issue-nexus-9), but the update I installed was not the Android N update. I have since found the full OTA files (https://developers.google.com/android/ota) but I don't know which to choose (or can I just choose the latest one for Nexus 9) Pretty grim huh? Can someone pleasde help ----

I'm thinking about buying a tablet and im trying to pick between the Google Nexus 9 or the Nvidia Shield Tablet. I will be gaming on the tablet but i wasn't planning on doing heavy gaming like steam games or something. More like 3d mobile games that need some power but not as much power as the Shield. Of course if i would get the shield i would use it for steam games as well but the thing about the Nexus 9 is that it runs stock android and is very good for video's and has a much better screen. I want to pick between these two and you telling me witch one you would pick and why. Also if you have any other tablets for me to look at i can check that out. Thanks in advance, Albert

Hello to every one, im asking you to help to decide what tablet should i buy! I hear a lot of good reviews about both of the Nvidia Shield and the Nexus 9 , and yet , for the last 3 months , cant decide, which one to buy! I wanna use tablet in future for the next : Web browsing Youtube Videos (maybe some times connect to bigger display to watch a movie ) email word ( maybe) for the studying ) The size of display is actually something i cant deside what better, i dont even care if it 10.1 inch , its just , some times is more comfortable when you in bus , at work, or some where else, and can just take a tablet , and relax watching a movie, or just search on web ( by the way , its mice if the tablet support the java on web, like some games, that run on web. About display also, i saw that they have same Pixel density , and shame that its low, cause i kinda want to feel more clear display view . And so as folowed, i like both of them, each have some good preferences, but i like that nvidia have stylus pen, and have mini hdm port, that i can connect , and also, i can play on it some serious games , although im not in that really way and dont know how i feel about the 8 inch display . The nexus i, bigger display , witch mean, better web browsing experience. With that said, thank you !

Hello, I am new to this place. I don't have much idea about tablets specially and never had much interest in it. Actually never has any use for it. But lately, due to excess amounts of college notes which are in pdf and docs, it has been very hard on my back to sit hour after hour to study on my laptop and I think maybe buying a new tablet might be a better option. So all I am looking for in the tablet is a good display and a worthy battery life which helps me read pdf and doc files. I don't have a prefernce on a particular OS even though I've always preferred using android devices rather than any other OS, I am open to using any OS. And since I only need the tablet to just read documents and not gaming and other stuff I do not want to spend much money on it. I'd rather game on my PC or PS4. Thanks in advance. PS - I live in India so most of the devices wouldn't be available here. Anyway I'd love to have your suggestion. Thank you.

I've been looking to get a nice tablet and I've narrowed it down to two options being either the Nexus 9 or the Tab S. Obviously I've read a good couple dozen reviews and I really don't know which one to go for?! The nexus runs stock android which, because I work in a Currys/PC World ( for those who aren't in the UK and don't know who Currys/PC World is, basically it's our equivalent to best buy)I've been able to use the display model that we have and really love stock android! As well as it being a nexus it'll get the updates first which is just amazing for myself. However the aspect ratio and the fact that I've got tiny hands AND the fact that it doesn't have a micro SD slot are major turn offs for me. The tab s 8.4 however I love the size of it because it fits my hand pretty well as well as the SD slot however the Samsung touchwiz bullocks that is on it is just horrible to me. Ive got a Z3 at the moment and love it's version of android. I am aware that I can root/rom the Samsung but I don't really know whats on offer in terms of the options and what sort of things I'm able to set it up in such a way that I would get the same sort of experience in terms of Android as a whole as I would with the nexus. So which one would you guys suggest?

What id like to know mostly is how these tablet screens look in full sunlight? Is one particularly better than the other? Its very sunny here in Straya and i don't want to buy a tablet if i wont be able to see the screen mounted to the dash in my car. So I planned this out a while back and had settled on a nexus 9. I have just found a barely used one for $620. (Aus $720rrp) 32gb and LTE for GPS and stuff. I wanted a %100 wire free setup to easily get it in&out of the car with Bluetooth audio streaming to my stereo sound processor, Wifi OBDII interface to the cars computer & a QI Wireless charging pad on the tablet mount. Would automate automatic unlocking, music playback, apps and stuff using the 'Tasker' app triggered from the wireless charging hooked up to car ignition. HOWEVER! I reevaluated the market and the Shield Tablet is very convincing. Main Disadvantages: Wireless charging - meaning completely wireless setup will now have 1 charging wire to plug in. This also means automation will work from USB power meaning disabling/enabling that event sequence whenever i switch charging from home/car. Can Qi charging be hacked into the shield?!?! Smaller screen - & less square but still good enough for the application. Less resolution - unfortunate but it still looks good right? Main Benefits: Micro SD slot - Was the biggest disappointment with the nexus, a definite +. Cheaper new - $540 is the best iv been able to find shipped from NCIX & comes with free controller, case & some games. Game streaming - While I doubt my home network can handle wireless streaming, I'm looking forward to giving console mode a go with my GTX780 Having difficulty deciding, any other suggestions for android tablet car installs?

Hey everyone! I wanted to know if you think purchasing the Nexus 7 is a good idea this holiday season. I know Nexus 9 is already out, but considering some old tech at low prices, do you think Nexus 7 is still a good tablet that could last me for a year or two? Thanks for your inputs!

WIth the new Nexus devices supposedly being announced tomorrow, I wonder why Google decided to go so big with the Nexus 6. I know that that's the new phone trend, but even 5.92 in. is big for big phones. I would've expected something no more than 5.5; IMO that sounds more reasonable. But, maybe there's a reason.... what do you think the possibility for something like multiwindow (similar to TouchWiz on the Note line) is for Android L? That's one of the big reasons I even so much as considered the Note... whatever Google does with the Nexus 6, I hope they implement something like this. Do you think other types of multitasking will be in the 5.0 update?

Hi, Do you think I should get the Nexus 7 now or wait (if it comes out) for the Nexus 9 Does anybody know when the release date is? Thanks.

Source: http://bit.ly/1u9vp3v Personally, I might consider a daily driver switch if this device comes out. My iPhone 5S has 1GB of RAM and a small screen. I think 4GB of Ram and a 32-bit processor would be the "good-enough for gaming" sweetspot. With a 64-bit processor this device should be lightning fast. So what are your thoughts? What's your daily driver?

Once again, @evleaks has leaked infos about some upcoming phones/ tablets. This time he leaked the possible spec info of the "upcoming" Nexus 9, HTC Volantis, and what surprise people is he stated that the tablet could get as much as 5GB of ram!? Of course he quickly stated then, that the spec is not yet finalized. But 5GB of ram??
