Hello, I recently rooted my Nexus 6P and installed Nitrogen OS on it. While I was installing it, I dropped the phone onto the ground, and the USB cable fell out. I formatted it and began to reinstall the OS. I used TWERP. Currently the auto rotation is not working. I downloaded an app which has a ball which moves when you tilt the phone. It works. I also tried google cardboard, it works. I also tried CPUz, the sensors don't seem to be working well. I tried another app, the graph works, but for some reason the compass didn't (compass worked in other apps). I'm confused, hope its not hardware. Any ideas on how to fix it? Thanks. EDIT: I have tried to hit it and drop it in order to fix it (that's what other threads said), didn't work. Also, I dropped the phone many times from different heights, so the drop while installing the OS was quite small. The phone always worked perfectly fine. I believe its either the small drop or the software that's causing the problem. I'm confused why some apps work whilst others don't. My guess is it's maybe because the sensors work, but they aren't strong, so some games see that it's changing slightly, but the OS sees it as too small, and isn't as sensitive as certain apps may be? I really don't know, and I'm a bit stressed.

*Sorry for the long story in advance* so i came back from vacation and my mom wanted me to give her photos from the vacation (i took over 1k somehow) so i decided it would be more productive to move the photos from my phone to my computer and then put it on a USB Flash Drive that i would give to her, so i connect my phone (Nexus 6P) to the computer but see that the folder is too big so i move half of it to a new folder using ES FILE EXPLORER then move both of them to the Internal Storage Thing (when you connect your phone to a computer its the first set of folders you'll see), the first half works, i move it no problem, the second is empty. i check to see if i maybe didn't move it, nope i did, then i restart the phone. still missing. i enter the album app and see that the photos are missing but the album is still there but empty. i use a different album app and see that the folder with the files but when i press on a photo an error pops up and says "Cannot load photo". i look in the recycle bin in ES FILE EXPLORER, nothing there. i also see that i mysteriously have an additional 17 GB free on my phone. *i have 2 camera apps, Google's "Camera" and "OpenCamera". i did this for both but only realized it deleted the files for both at the very end. so now i have half the photos i had before and have lost the majority of the vacation photos. What can i do to recover these photos?? please any help would be awesome!

Hi Everyone I have a nexus 6p that I bought from the google play store when it came out, the phone is bending, the screen has burn in and the battery is starting to get wonky. I am wondering if I should contact the play store and see what they can do as this seems to be a defect issue rather than a ware and tare? I know the phone is out of warranty but I am wondering if any other 6p users are having the same problems? I made a short video explaining my experience Thanks

My Nexus 6P motherboard fried while just out of warranty and I'm currently without a phone. I live in Japan and I need to get a replacement immediately. I'm looking for something: Available locally (Japan) Cheap (300$ max) SIM-free Android 7.0 (8.0 preferred) Reliable (No slowdowns, hangs) 3.55mm audio jack Not gonna buy used. I need to use banking apps that are VERY good at detecting roots so rooting is out of the question. I'd like it to have as little bloat as possible. Don't care that much about battery life since I'm carrying around a power bank anyways. Storage size is not important. I couldn't care less about the camera. I'm planning to get a flagship phone towards the end of the year but I need a quick and dirty fix right now. This is a short list of phones I've found around local shops that I can get. Huawei P10 Lite (200$) Huawei Honor 9 Lite (260$) Huawei Nova Lite 2 (210$) Asus Zenfone 4 Max (210$) Looking for a recommendation between these phones and/or other suggestions. Thank you in advance.

So i have this Huawei Nexus 6P 64GB almost a year, the problem is when i started playing a games (Fantasy War Tactics) it is not run very smoothly. Previously i had a Motorola Nexus 6 which can run this game quite smoothly better than my current Nexus 6P. But if i switch apps from my game to another apps, (ex, 9gag) when i back to the game, it run very very smoothly for a minute (10-15 min). Is there anyone using Nexus 6P have the same problem? or how do i fix this?. Oh i'm using the original android from nexus and not rooted. Thank a lot and sorry for bad english.

I am using google photo lately, the thing I wanna ask is this: I created a few albums in google photo, does pictures in the album also counts as normal photo ? I know that google photo provide unlimited storage for nexus users, I am scared that any photo you put in your album got stored in your google drive and counts as document therefore use up a lot of space. Or I am misunderstanding all these, photos in the album you create is still part of "google photo" and they provide you unlimited storage ,so you can create as many albums as you want, and store as many photos as you want in it.

I have a Samsung galaxy s6 for my first smart phone switching from my blackberry 6600 and I have this Samsung for about a year and so now? and from that experience I realized I didn't really like the Touchwiz UI it's slowing my phone down I think but I just doesn't look and feel awesome.. Did some research for about a month now and saw this wonderful, sexy, and glamorous, Nexus 6p with it's pure and gorgeous stock android I immediately fell in love but the kickback was it has a 5.7 from the 5.1 screen size that I was used to.. Now the questions are: Should I wait for Google's smartphone new release? Should I switch now? Should I Root my phone? or Keep this phone? Need Help! Almost all of my friends told me that I was too picky and just be content with what I have. But how can I be? if I feel like this?

I have been waiting on this video to make my decision on a phone and darn It did not make up my mind. I was pretty sure when the axon 7 release It was the phone I wanted. but now i am not so sure. I have a HTC desire 816, that I cracked the screen on and virgin mobile no longer offers that phone. I was pretty happy with the phone except for its storage only 8gb and it between OS, the bloat where HTC and virgin moble put on 4.2 was left mostly of that was taken up by aps i could not delete. I have a 64gb sd but the phone does a poor job of putting stuff there and most apps still took up to much room. I love the size now and love having stereo speakers since I watch a lot of content on my phone. although i wish they were a little louder. My car has a rubbish speaker system and I would love to listen to music an audio books. wich i can do right now as long as the windows are closed and the a/c is not running to High. (I now i could get a blue tothe speaker but i just want it there) like If i am out on the soccer field i want to hear it from pretty far away or I want to hear it over the shower... my last complaint Is that the aux port is not tight and It will not hold in my daily driver headphones the audio technica m40x. After doing a lot of research I had it down to the alcatel Idol 4s and the axon 7. then thought i had it down to the axon 7 but then had quality control concerns. ended up looking at a lot of the sony stuff but its too expensive I am now in a huge circle. in the end I really can't spend more the the 399 price. I love the 5.5 ish size. I demanded stereo front facing speakers. ruling out one plus 3 but that leaves nexus 6p, the actel even if it isn't perfect with button placement. and the axon 7. but for all of its claims linus said speakers were not that great. I want the loudest will not sounding bad. future vr suport sounds amazing. I am rambling because i am so confused at this point.

I just bought a Nexus 6p a month ago. Currently I am planning to go to Australia to visit my friend who's studying there. So I am considering to buy a portable powerbank. I know that most of the powerbank that supports Qualcomm's quick charging , (either 2.0 or 3.0). However 6p supports the new USB type c charging standard. I just wanna buy a powerbank that can fast charge my nexus. Currently have a powerbank at home, but it charges super slow.... Which one am I supposed to buy?? Nexus 6P users please help.. Edit: The brand I can think of is either Anker or Tronsmart. Also I wanna ask you guys on a typical 10000 and 20000 powerbank, how many times it can charge your 6p fully???

What are some good actual games on android? Im coming from iOS. I really enjoyed games like Game Dev Story, Galaxy on Fire 2 (especially this one). Im looking to get away from the plague of pay to win games. I also like strategy games, but you simply can't find any good ones that aren't "build this in 5 days" or "buy gems to speed production" type strategy games searching the play store. I don't mind paying a few bucks for an actual game I can sit down and enjoy and not be plagued by the pay-to-win stuff. What games have you played you really enjoyed?

I am going to be converting over to android for my next phone, and I am not sure where to begin, I am looking at the HTC 10, Samsung galaxy S7, Oneplus 3, and the Google Nexus 6p for options, and not sure which one to choose. I was wondering if anyone could give me some tips, their experiences with the phones, and some advice in the transition.

As some of you might know, the Nexus 6p is capable of charging other devices with USB type-c port. I have these wireless headphones using micro USB and on Amazon and I saw that I am able to purchase a USB type-c to micro USB. My headphones charge using micro USB and I was wondering if I am capable of charging my headphones using my Nexus 6p. Just asking if the voltage would be too high or too low or just enough meaning that I can charge it. My headphones are Sony MDR-10RBT Bluetooth headphones. And as you might know the device that I want to try it with is the Nexus 6p. Thanks in advance!

why does Amazon tell me that the nexus 6Ps base model (32gb) cost 610$? I don't live in the UK or Europe in general. (i live in Israel ) did they up the price? if I order it in the US will it cost me 500$ instead?

I'm currently a not-so-proud owner of the Verizon variant LG G4, since early June of 2015. Sadly to say, I'm hating it. I'm not willing to download silly ram-clearing apps. It's as if I'm obligated to wipe the phone every few months to retain it's glorious processing speeds. I'm well aware of Huawei's new Nexus 6p and have personally seen the device work on Verizon (USA) in my town. Although I am on the Edge program (allowing you to return your phone for a brand-spanking new one, one year from it's purchase date), I've decided that I want to put this phone away in a box, since I occasionally travel overseas, and buy a new unlocked phone that supports Verizon's network radio band channel... things. After a few days of searching, still the only phone I could find was the Nexus 6p. I believe it's undoubtedly an amazing device, but I'm not too interested in its price tag. I've created a new account (because after two days I've yet to receive the password reset for my old account) to ask you guys for help on this issue. I need help finding a newer phone, like Oppo or OnePlus brands that are very capable of supporting Verizon networks. Thank you!

I recently got a nexus 6p and have admittedly been babying it for the last couple of weeks. I put it down very gently, not keep it in my pocket while sitting down etc. basically im really careful with it. I was doing something on my phone today and this guy in my class though it would be really funny to just come up and tap random things on my screen. He pressed quite hard, like with an audible thump, and I'm worried that there was damage done to my phone. So my question is this, how hard can you press on a touchscreen without damaging it and is there anything i can do to confirm that mine is still ok, just to give me peace of mind? Thanks
