Hello everyone! I recently bought 2 ConnectX-3 cards to improve file transfer speeds between the PC and the "server", but i don't really know how to set it up correctly. Current setup looks like this: What i need is: 1) PC, Server and the Router should be in one network; 2) PC and Server should use 40GbE for transfers between each other; 3) When accessing the internet - they both should use 100Mbit link through the router; 4) Currently, both PC and Server are also connected through SoftEther VPN server hosted on a remote VPS. I wonder if i can set something up, so if some "service" is hosted on the Server - at least the requests made from the PC (in that SoftEther network) would go straight to the Server, and not to VPS and back. I thought "Local Bridge" would do that, but didn't work out as i expected. That link through the VPN is here because i need remote access to both the PC and the Server. I also have Navidrome using that virtual network for broadcasting to remote devices. Any advice and/or instructions on how i'd have to do all of this?

So I was trying to update my BIOS whilst after that I was going to install a fresh install of Win10 (then I would install AtlasOS) onto my computer. This meant I thought it would be easier to have the windows 10 files and the BIOS file all on one stick… I booted into bios and selected M-Flash, with my USB with the Win10 install files AND the new BIOS version on it. After this it didn’t output anything. I have tried popping the CMOS then putting it back in as well as joining the 2 pins next to the CMOS battery (supposed to reset it?) I am unsure what happened, I get all the LEDs on and my peripherals light up, just no output… Motherboard: MSI A320M-A Pro CPU: Ryzen 3 1209 GPU: GTX 1660 Super RAM: 16GB DDR4 Corsair (cannot remember exact specs if needed I can get it) Any ideas are very welcome!

hey folks! so, as the title says, i'm planning on doing my first custom loop this year. my current GPU is a 3090 Founders Edition, and it seems like there are very few options for FE blocks out there, at least in europe they all are either looking strange or are really expensive. ideally i would love some block without RGB and without any see through acrylic, like the EK full metal one which is way too expensive for me or the Bykski acetal one, which sadly is not sold here and doesnt ship to Austria from sites i found it on atm i'm close to just buying the Alphacool Eisblock Aurora Acryl which is on sale rn and just painting the damn thing black (if that is a somewhat good option, i never painted acrylic) for the CPU i will most likely get an alphacool block as they have some nice all black designs for pump reservoir etc i already have some aquacomputer stuff if any of you could point me to a decent GPU block thats not all transparent and light up i would really appreciate your help wish you all a great day

I currently have a hyperx solocast and I am not that happy with it. I want to buy a new mic and have a budget of about 100Euro. Is there any microphone you would recommend buying that would be better than the solocast. The microphone will be used for discord and some yt recording as well as twitch. Thank you for the help in advance!

My computer was working fine for a good while. I recently upgraded my CPU and GPU. But today something odd happened. I was playing a game on Steam when it suddenly crashed for no apparent reason. I thought little of it. But it turns out this was either a sign of the problem to come or the cause of it. Because no matter what I tried after this, games on Steam will not run correctly. Baldur's Gate 3, for example, doesn't work at all on Vulkan, and on DX11, it works for a second and crashes with an error about an unrecoverable DX11 error. I tried repairing Windows files, validating game files on Steam, and reinstalling my graphics drivers, among other things, but to no avail. One of the games that does, however, somewhat work is Borderlands 3, but when I play it, many graphical oddities happen, such as giant black boxes appearing on the screens and random blotches of color. These seem to be graphics problems within my system. I don't believe any of my physical parts are causing these errors.

I built my new pc, everything works well but it started making Wired ticking noises. The noise still continues after all of my fans are turned off(including psu fan) and the noise gets louder when I play games but it disappears when I put my fans into full speed. VID_20240114_215443.mp4

Hello, I recently got a new GPU 4070 Ti and was planning to install it into my existing PC. Before doing so I figured since the min requirement PSU for that GPU is 750w (which is what I currently have) I would purchase a new PSU to hopefully give myself a better threshold and power management. Unfortunately things did not go as planned. Current PC: Tuf Gaming X570-PLUS (WI-FI) AMD Ryzen 5 3600 6-Core Processor G.Skill DDR4 8gb Ram (X2) NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6gb EVGA 750w Bronze Power Supply New PSU Corsair RM1000x(have not installed but want to) New GPU 4070 Ti (have not installed but want to) Everything works in this configuration from initial installation. No overclocking has been done. Now on to the issue, I fully disconnected the 750w PSU and connected the new PSU RM1000x back up just as it was removed and ran into an issue. Still using all the same original parts just with the 1000w PSU I have MB power and GPU power (1060) but when I go to hit the power button i get a flash of everything as if it turn on for one second then turns off again. Then without cutting the power off I try to hit the power button again nothing happens. I have also Cycled the power switch on the PSU (750w) and tried it again and same thing. Thing I have done: Checked the 24 pin Checked the 8 pin CPU connector Checked to make sure i have the correct cables Used out of the box original cables Tested the PSU and confirmed it is working correctly Tried booting without GPU (1060) Re-seated Ram Re-Seated CPU Reset Bios to Default I know the MB is still working fine because once I reinstalled the 750w PSU everything boots and works just as it has been. Please help I'm running out of ideas and the GPU was a gift from my Girl and she is questioning why I haven't installed it yet. (don't want her thinking I don't appreciate it.)

First of all, thanks for taking the time to read my request! As the title says, we need some mic recommendations. My girlfriend and I have a shared gaming room, and when we're on Discord, we can hear ourselves through each other's microphones. We're wondering if there are specific microphone types or settings that might help minimize this issue. Our current setup is: - AT2040 with a Behringer U-Phoria UMC22 - HyperX Solocast. We are sitting side by side with a separation of 1.5 meters. We haven't decided on the budget yet, but an approximate 500 to 600 USD max for each of us.

Budget (including currency): 800cad (trying to get to 500cad) Country: canada Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: blender, gta5, trackmainia, some unity/unreal engine Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): this is in usd but parts come to around 850 cad from usd made this in a few hours and was wondering if i could get some better performance for my money. i want to play at atleast 60fps at 1080p, i am upgrading from a hp pavilion (i7-1065g7, mx250, 16gb ram at 2700) that i will use as my portable machine. if i can get a lower budget that would be better than more performance because i am tight on money right now but still want to get a scope of how much i need to spend. im not too worried about blender render times but i just want a smooth cycles viewport experience. i am not going to make a full on 3d open world game i just like to make game renders in UE and some 2d games in unity. already have an M.2 ssd from my laptop i want to put in to the pc (512gb) but more stroage wouldnt hurt.

Hey guys! I don't know what to choose and how to do the setup so i hope yall can help me with it. So i need 2 monitors, 1 mainly for gaming and watching videos/movies and one more for any desktop related thing like web browsing, excel ...etc. I play a variety of games but these days cod and minecraft with friends and sometimes i play forza and cyberpunk. I have a 4090 so will have no issues with anything i hope and plan to spend maximum 1500€ for the 2 monitors. For the "Gaming/movie montior" i thought about getting a 1440p one myb an oled for the hdr. Any recomeddations myb? I saw the asus 1440p oled is great regarding reviews. And an lg even tho it is ips. https://www.amazon.de/-/en/PG27AQDM-Gaming-Monitor-FreeSync-GameFast/dp/B0BXY85B9F/ref=sr_1_2?geniuslink=true&keywords=ASUS%2BPG27AQDM&qid=1700786911&sr=8-2&th=1 https://www.amazon.de/Electronics-27GR95QE-B-UltraGear-Gaming-Monitor/dp/B0BRYJQP4Z/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?geniuslink=true&keywords=LG+27GR95QE&qid=1700786999&sr=8-1-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9hdGY&psc=1 For the other monitor i dont rly know if i need 1080p or 1440p. I would use this monitor for anything else other then gaming and video/movie watching. Programming, web browsing, excel, game development and from time to time photoshop (but very rarely) I dont rly know what to get for these purposes honestly. >< Any ides how to set them up on a desk? Should i use a monitor arm that can hold both or one for each one for better mobility if i wanna switch between them?

Along with a new build I'm planning I want to spruce up my room a little bit, I don't know if it's sacrilege to watch JTC but I was watching one of his reacting to setups videos, and I found this poster in one of the setups, I NEED THIS POSTER! One issue, I can't find the original image. I've done countless Google searches, even reverse image searches, no luck. Can anyone help? Thanks!

I will put pictures down below

Planning a 4K editing / gaming rig right now and I am trying to decide between Intel and AMD. I know that for the later part of the 2010s AMD was way better than Intel, but I can't tell if that has changed or not. Anyone have any input? If it matters I'm going to pair it with either a 3080 or 4070 (both fe). Budget is $2k USD.

I’m creating a new build and I’m torn between the RTX 3080 and 4070, anyone have any input on which one is better? Both cards would be founders. Thanks!

So in short my windows install is broken and no matter if I do a fresh install and update to the latest version or not it keeps freezing. It will be good for a couple of minutes after turning on and then if I have anything open browser, steam, game, word, a folder or anything else it will start freezing and running at 1 frame per 10 seconds. It is unusable like this you guys have any suggestions what it could be I saw a few comments about the latest update causing freezing but if I create a new installation media from windows and not update to the newest version it still does it. I should mention as well that I installed linux mint and it works flawlessly. No freezing crashing anything it just works. I will continue using it but I would still like to have a windows disk as well for games that require anticheat. And some other applications that I use that are windows only.

Hello, I have a question about the PCIEX1_2 slot on the ASUS B650E-F. When I try to plug in my Elgato HD 60 pro in this slot the card does not get recognniced by the PC. I know the Elgato is fine because it works fine when I put it in the PCIEX16_2 slot, which I cannot use because it would disable the M.2_3 slot. Can someone tell me a fix or what im doing wrong?

Hi everyone, first of all, thanks for being here reading my consult. I recently bought a pair of IEMs, to be precise, the KZ ZSX. I was playing Valorant and noticed something off with the sound; after a few tests, I discovered the issue. The sound playing at my character's back isn't audible, check the image in the spoiler below for reference. I've tried this on another pc, and the issue persists. Playing around with VoiceMeeter, I found an option that seems to fix the problem, but the thing is that I don't want to depend on it since other pcs I use don't have the software installed. Check the image below to see the VoiceMeeter option. Does someone knows how to fix it? Maybe it's configuration issue or user error but I ran out of ideas. Thanks in advance and sorry if my english sounds weird.

Hey guys, I've got a little problem I couldn't figure out by myself: The BeQuiet Dark Base 900 Pro rev.2 has an integrated fan controller. I know I can seamlessly choose the speed in silent or performance mode with the slider in the front. And in the most left position the MB is allowed to manage the fanspeed via PWM. So much for the theory. I got my case-fans plugged into the BeQuiet controller like so: Left rail (performance Mode): 2x Silent Wings 140mm in the front as intake Right rail (silence Mode): 1x Silent Wings 140mm in the back as exhaust And the top left cable goes to the "system fan 3 header" on the MB. In the Gigabyte SIV software the header is not recognized as a PWM line. I can tell because on the right it does not show me the possible rpm after calibrating. I can control the fans with the slider on the case but when I put it on the most left position to let the MB do the job they always run on full speed. Any ideas from you guys cause I haven't

Hi everyone, not very familiar with this platform but I hope I’m doing this right. I got a new desktop from a guy on a buy and sell I was told it was a power supply issue and he just didn’t want it so I picked it up for cheap replaced the psu and everything spun to life however, when I went to plug my monitor in the pc is not posting/ not displaying anything I’ve been missing around with it for a few hours now trying to figure it out but I’m absolutely stumped so I’m hoping so people smarter than me on here could help me out here is what I’ve tried so far 1. I’ve done all the ram checks a man would need plugged it into different dims plugged it into a different pc cleaned them cleaned the dims tried 1 ram stick in all the slots then tried it with the other 3 2. tried unplugging all cords that don’t have anything to do with the motherboard and apart from the cpu fan 3. cleaned the entire board using a dry cloth 4. Made sure the cpu was compatible with the motherboard it is a Asrock H170A-X1 and a Intel i7 7700 everything checks out there 5. Checked the motherboard slot for any bent pins everything looks clear I even used a magnifying glass and good lighting 6. tried resetting the cmos replacing the cmos 2 times and cleaning the cmos port 7. inspected the motherboard for any visual damage ie burns or scratches noticed no damage at all side note: i did get it to boot into bios once while playing around with the ram but it got stuck on the bios screen and didn’t allow me to click anything although the keyboard I was using powered on fine all fans spin like normal. I got it to boot into bios fully last night while plugging out all cords but it didn’t work again after that. I’ve been told by a buddy it’s a motherboard issue and another that it was a cpu issue and another that it was a ram issue however the ram runs fine in another machine and i have no way of testing the motherboard besides the cpu i have now im starting to lose the motivation on trying to fix this guy and I’m but I really don’t think it’s deserving of an ewaste bin if there is any questions I can answer please do ask I’m looking for any suggestions at all
