I'm in a bit of a pickle. I need a new computer, when i moved to Alberta years ago from New Brunswick my gaming PC died... so now that I want one again I'm looking for something that'll last me a while. 1st things first I'm Canadian, and I live in the subarctic (northern Alberta), keep that in consideration. Availability is not so great up here. I don't really have a budget but I don't want to drop 10k on a laptop either. Something 2-3k CAN, looking for lots of power, I have a Jakery powerbank so I'm not terribly concerned with power consumption on the go, nice screen, 4k capable would be nice but not needed. (I want something nice, I've got by with just a raspberry pi, my phone, and a nexdock touch for a while now but that'll only get you so far, know what I mean? Not so much available for arm yet.)

Hi, I currently have a Beyerdynamic 990 Pro, but it has become to un-comfortable for me to use anymore, which I think is because my ears stick out to much for the small space this headset has allocated for your ears. Therefore, I would like to find a new headset I can use instead. I am looking for something with either similar or better audio quality to the 990 pro, with comfort being a big priority for me. I have been looking at the Sennheiser 600 series, but there seems to be divided opinions on the comfort of these. The headset I am looking for needs to have: - An open back design - Audio quality similar or better than 990 Pro - Great comfort (where you don’t have to change the ear-pads each year to uphold that comfort) - Don’t care about mic since I have an external mic - A headset I can wear all day long In terms of price, I am looking for something below 500$, it doesn’t matter whether you will need an amp or dac, since I already have that. But you need to be able to buy it in the EU. Hope that you guys have some experience and can help guide me in the right direction Please ask if you need any more information.

So over the past few weeks/months my PC seems to have been crashing more often than it used to, however nothing so bad I did anything other than update drivers. Many of these crashes have been just freezing and not responding. The only thing I could do was hold the power button. Today, however, my PC froze once, and than twice over crashed in a way I have never seen before. The video signal was lost(screen went instantly black), the fans spun up to full speed, and even holding the power button did nothing whatsoever. I ended up just turning off my power supply. I'm starting to get worried, so I decided not to turn on my PC again before I've heard if anyone has seen this behavior before. The crashes seem to happen at random times; sometimes when running heavy games, light games, or just browsing. I have however been mining with the nicehash quickminer for maybe 2-3 weeks now. I mine 24/7 except for when gaming. I have a 2080 and a ryzen 7 2700x, in a P400s with the stock front panel with no airflow. I also only use the 2 stock fans for case cooling(replacements delayed by COVID ), so I suspect thermals and airflow are not great, however I'm not completely sure. Both of the mysterious "blackscreen" crashes happened after I started playing Liftoff(drone-sim), the most recent game I got. Also, the last of the "blackscreens" was while I was using bluestacks, which I just downloaded. I can't think of any hardware additions that happened within this timeframe. I have no idea why this would be happening, and I'm becoming worried for my PC. Any help is greatly appreciated!

My system specs are: Ryzen 2700x 1070ti 32gb of 3200mhz ddr4 RAM 1tb 7200rpm HDD In GTA especially online I will get Frame dips into the 40's and even high 30's in certain areas' of the map, Such as Vinewood Strip and The Los Santos Police Department by the River. In the Story I get around 110avg but has occasional Dips' too. My friend has A worse GPU and in the same Lobby's He get's significantly better performance in the same areas. If anyone Can Help that would be very appreciated. PS I run the Game on mostly ultra settings but when I turn down settings it has no effect of FPS.

I'll make this brief and as concise as I can: I have an MSI B550 Gaming Plus and the fans I'm using in my case are the Lian Li SL120 fans. The issue I'm having the fans don't actually show up in the BIOS or in the program by Lian Li. I have 3 currently installed and all 3 are running as normal I'd suspect. Given that I can make no adjustment to the lights nor the fan speed. The sequence the lights are on is basic rainbow shift. I am pretty much an idiot when it comes to computers. No issues with the PC getting too hot. The motherboard, as far as I can tell, is not fitted with any ARGB headers. Only JRGB and Jrainbow. I haven't a clue as to what the similarities are, nor the differences. I tried to follow the guide as best as possible, but it's akin to letting a blind person be your navigator. Actually, they would do a better job at that than I am able to do with computers. If anyone can provide a basic step-by-step path I can follow I'd be very appreciative! I don't have any pictures at the moment, but if there are specific images you need in order to see where the plugs are currently plugged into which header on the motherboard I can provide that.

So im building myself my first gaming PC. I have a motherboard but its a server board with dual xeons. finding a case not so easy so Ive decided to do an open system like Linus's test bench. provides a bit more heat dissipation i guess. but how do I mount it to a board? spacers? offsets? I know it should be elevated so the bottom side of the motherboard can breathe a bit but how do I do this? Also my motherboard has no screws... Any help at all would be much appreciated.

Hello guys, I recently bought an Acer Spin 3 SP314-53N convertible laptop for study and editing drone videos on the go. This Model has a Intel Core i7 8565U with 1.8 GHz baseclock and 4,1 GHz all-core and 4.6 GHz single-core turbo-boost. I noticed, that the turbo-boost under synthetical load (AIDA64) as well as under realistic workload (rendering in Adobe Premiere) cranks up to 3.5 to 4.0 GHz for about 20 seconds: Then after 20 seconds the boost descents to 2.5 GHz and stays there for the whole time: The temps in this scenario were slightly over 90 degrees C max. So I did the only right thing and replaced the thermal compound with Coollaboratory Liquid Ultra. I thought this would fix the problem since the CPU would no longer have to thermal throttle the boost. Indeeed I got the temps down to unter 75 degrees C under full load! But still: The boost goes down to 2.5 GHz after exactely 20 seconds of full load and stays there no matter what. This seems to be pre-programmed in the bios. And here`s the next problem: The BIOS offers no useful settings at all. ? I asked the ACER support about this but got nothing useful in return. Only the statement, that the BIOS options are just like this, so that the user can`t "damage the hardware through false settings" and that there is no "unlocked BIOS" available. ? It takes a while for me to give up but I gotta admit I`m stuck here. ? Someone got anything for me? ?

Build:MSI MPG Z390 PRO GAMING CARBON AC(MOB),MSI RTX 2060 GAMING 6G,HYPER X PREDATOR 2x8gb 3200mhz,I7-8700(non-k). So My pc was built by my brother and dad since the kinda knew what they were doing and after about 1 and a half day the pc was built since we faced some problems but we figured it out. The problem i was facing i faced a couple months back. So basically my pc would not boot with 2 sticks of ram. When the ram was on the second slot it worked, but when i tried to put my other ram in the fourth slot it kept doing what i said in the title, meaning that the pc was recognizing the CPU but when it went to the ram, idk it refused? So we got a friend of ours and he helped us fix it. First of all no, the ram isnt damaged, we tried both of them in the second slot, and they worked, but when it came to the fourth slot, it just didnt wanna work. The way we fixed it was by removing the CMOS battery and then just trying with one ram and we saw that it booted up.YAY! Then we tweeked with cmos removing it and putting it back and then somehow the 4th slot worked. Now fast forward a couple of months to about a month ago from this post. I Booted up my pc and fans we're at max speed and when i went to the dragon center i saw that my CPU was at 100*C... At 10% usage. I checked on google and it probably was my cooler,(Cooler Master Masterliquid 240R RGB), So me and my brother remove the cooler and we saw how much the cooler had leaked, btw i didnt touch any components because it condensated quickly and because of the cooper it was covered in green stuff (Copper oxidized becomes green). We only removed the cooler and added the intel stock cooler, didnt touch anything else, and then it didnt boot because we faced the same problem we faced a couple months back. We removed The cmos, tried everything like our friend did, but nope, the 4th slot just doesnt want to work, So now im stuck with 8gb of ram, and being the gamer like i am its effecting my gameplay. If anyone can help me please do because ive looked everywhere about whats causing this but i couldn't find anything

So I got a new i7-6700k and it was already clocked to 4.2GHz. How high should my voltage be? CPU-Z and Core Temp are showing me 1.388v-1.455v and such high numbers are really concerning after reading through other forums about overclocking etc. Also the temps are jumping from 26 to sometimes 40 but usually to 36. Is this a normal occurrence?? Need advice! -Thanks! EDIT: Cooler is H80i v2 Corsair and mobo Asrock z270 Extreme4 Also how do i run stress tests? -Thanks!

I thinking to get my self a new probably better case, I currently have an CiT Goblin Case and I don't like the look of it and can only have 3 fans and my pc gets high temperature quickly when running 2 120mm aerocool shark fans and the standard fan witch came with the case. I am looking to get a case is around £60 and then 4 if the case can have 120mm be quiet! Pure Wings 2 fans. Can you suggest any good cases for good airflow and good looking cases? and I was wondering if there is any difference with the Full tower cases and the Small Form Factor part that this ones are smaller and wider. It is better to have a small form factor case or the full tower one? This are the cases that I am about Full Tower http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00NIJKMEE/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_S_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=OX5WJU6DEOJD&coliid=I3BWF5DCP2IY55 Small form Factor http://www.amazon.co.uk/Cooler-Master-Elite-120-Advance/dp/B00BTQAWH0/ref=sr_1_2?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1432806599&sr=1-2&keywords=Small+Form+Factor+case This is my current PC - http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/wQ27FT I ACTUALLY FOR GOT IT MUST HAVE A CD SLOT OR WHAT EVER ITS CALLED

Hello everyone. I'd like to overclock my FX 8350 up to 4.4 Ghz, keep in mind I haven't done any overclocking before. This is my configuration: AMD FX 8350 4.0 Ghz with Cooler Master TX3 EVO Asus GTX 760 Direct CU II - 2GB 8 GB RAM 1333 Mhz Kingston Gigabyte GA 970-UD3P (8+2) Corsair Gaming Series 2013 GS 800w 80+ Bronze Win 7 pro 64 bit I have tried to overclock to 4.2 Ghz and it seemed to work, also stable on prime95 but I noticed that when I power on my PC, the fans will start as normal for around 3 seconds, before shutting down. This happens twice, before it will start booting up normally. So I switched everything back up to default settings. I also noticed that my ram run at default settings "1600-Auto" even if their frequency is 1333mhz, is that normal? I would need all settings, vcore, voltages, ram timing if needed etc. Please explain me how to do this like you're talking to a 5 years old child! Thank you very much for your help
