I have been "ordered" to find new phones for my parents, as theirs are no longer working. My father's Samsung Galaxy A3 2017 can't hold a charge for more than a couple of hours, and my mother's Nokia E66 turns itself off randomly and rattles after it has been dropped too many times on the floor. We are located in Denmark, so we need phones that is available on the Danish market, and I would rather avoid things I have to import/buy in another country. For the sake of convenience, I'm thinking of getting them the same model. Of course, they have some requirements, but they're not that big. The phones need to be able to make calls, send texts, and surf the web, which almost all phones can do. They don't need any fancy camera, as my father doesn't take pictures, and when my mother does, then she's using her DSLR camera. My parents are a bit technophobic and are uncomfortable with new things/technologies, so my father wants the new phone to be very similar to his old Galaxy A3 (both in size and UI), but my mom has conceded that she is getting a smartphone. I would also like the phones to last as many years as possible and be able to withstand some wear and tear (they will of course be in cases and possibly also have screen protectors). They also shouldn't be too expensive. They haven't mentioned a specific budget, because they don't know what something like that costs, but I think it's probably around 1500 DKK/200 EUR/230 USD per phone (can be pushed up a bit if necessary). I have looked at the Motorola Moto G14 or Samsung Galaxy A15 as possible options, but I'm not sure if they are good enough or if there are better options elsewhere.

Hey folks! I need a cheap tablet to watch some tutorials on the side while painting. Unfortunately I bave zero knowledge when it comes to tablets and phones. I'm looking to spend not more than 100-150 ish (€ that is) so to get the best bang for the buck I will gladly buy a used device. I have no preferences when it comes to make and model. A good screen, solid speakers and a somewhat snappy responsive device would be appreciated. Any suggestions dear hive mind?

Hello all, I'm looking for a good budget PSU for R5 1600AF and 4060, my budget for this is 60,000 Argentine pesos. I very appreciate your suggestions. The online store is this: https://www.mercadolibre.com.ar/ Thanks in advance. All the best.

Hello dear swarm intelligence! I'm going to sell all my current 3d printing stuff, in favour of an upgrade and need help finding a fair price. There are some second hand offers online somewhat similar of what I'm getting rid of, but not really the same, and they also seem to be overpriced imo. I think the best way for me to get rid of everything is to make two bundles: Mars 3 + wash & cure Saturn 8k + wash & cure The printers both come with some extra FEP, a magnetic build plate, a funnel, filters etc. Also I thought about throwing in half a kg of Sunlu abs like each, so who ever buys it can start right away. What do you folks think about 200€ for the Mars bundle and 300€ for the Saturn bundle? Does that sound reasonable? It is quite a bit lower than other offerings in my area, but I also want the stuff to sell somewhat quick. Any input is greatly appreciated

Hello good folks, I wanted to get a pre built pc and someone is suggesting me to get xeon family chipsets for the PC. This is for architecture work and will run softwares like, AutoCAD, Revit, Lumion, SketchUp and maybe a little of photoshop and illustrator. Should I go for the xeon chipsets? Or an i9 recent generation will be better. Let me know what y'all think. Thank you.

I have a 5600g and I wanted to squeeze a little more power out of it and I have ample cooling and power from my NH-D15 and my old 1200 watt power supply so I was wondering what are safe settings to get some more power out of it like what should I put in for the PBO limits I saw some people doing a little over 100w on ppt limit but no one had anything with numbers for SOC TDC and SOC EDC so I’m a little confused idk if the photo will help but any advice or numbers I can just put in so Ik I won’t damage anything or cause my pc to crash but still get me a bit more performance and power usage would be much appreciated. I added from what I’ve seen online a picture of what I’m guessing will work but any critique or suggestions would be appreciated.

Hello, I would like to ask you. Next month I was planning to upgrade from 3060ti to 4080 because of my 1440p 165hz monitor. However, I got stressed when I saw how much cpu heavy is Cyberpunk Phantom Liberty. So I don’t know If I am not dooming myself to curse of the constant heavy bottleneck in new titles. Is then 11600k enough for now? I am planning to then go to for example 15700k in 1-2 years.

Hello, I work at a medium-sized financial institution with around 550 employees. I am a network technician in our IT department at that company. We are very integrated with Microsoft Azure products and about 95% of our clients are either Windows machines or thin clients connected to Windows VDI servers. The rest of the clients are MacOS users mainly in our Marketing Department. (there are a few for IT for either Software Development or testing our website (don't need to worry about those machines)). How can we, as an IT Department convince the marketing department to switch to Windows machines? Even our CIO is struggling to convince them. Are we going into a losing battle here?

I am looking for a bit of advice or counseling so to speak on what I should look for or expect in a gaming laptop $1,000 USD or less. I need the laptop able to run most titles on low or medium settings at or above 60 fps while streaming or recording software is running. I honestly do not know what I should look for or expect to be good at this price concerning laptops. I would also like to edit videos and graphics at a stable a decent quality as well as a bit of music production at times. I also really do not want to go any less that 16gigs RAM and run SSDs only ngl. Some points I would say are needed to touch on would be: -Processor and clock speeds -Acceptable GPUs -Storage -Just every spec and part in the laptop is in question. I really want to make a informed decision and not get screwed out of the absolute best at the available price. I until now have not had anything better that pre-owned user referbished $250 old office laptops to game on. I have an out and do not want to settle. It needs performance and to be honest a little shine wont hurt given it would be nice if it felt good as well. Thanks for any and all help and advice ahead of time. Linus really likes to hype this forum so I want to see if it was worth the account creation given this is my first time creating an account on any forum. I only ever just scour forum after forum without accounts for any information or research. Given it would always be a colossal waste to make an account for every forum I come across given the dozens of unique issues I have or would have, I never do. Today is full of first for me. Please be gentle. EDIT: MADE THE FONT BIGGER. IT WAS HARD TO READ ON MOBILE.

So I want to buy a new monitor because I am soon buying an xbox series s. I am stuck between choosing a 144hz 1080p monitor or 60 to 75hz 2k monitor. One of my friends keeps saying just buy the 144hz one the other buy the better quality one. The 144Hz would most likely be 24 inch because of price and the 2k one is 32 inch I found it used. I have a pc so I would use it as a monitor for my pc and xbox. Any advice you can give me? Probably be good to mention that I am slowly playing less fps games almost not at all and mostly playing racing games. This would be 2 options I found for now: https://www.ekupi.ba/bs/Računari/Računari-i-periferija/Monitori/Monitor-AOC-Q3279VWFD8,-QHD-2560x1440,-31,5-IPS,-250-cd-m2,-AMD-FreeSync,-HDMI,-DP,-DVI,-VGA,-75Hz,-5ms/p/EK000360886?gclid=CjwKCAjwybyJBhBwEiwAvz4G71EcMnQF2rLchkP1ZwLZM_Yto8LDL7P23pkG7y1os7HBYHWk0b3UpBoCKD0QAvD_BwE https://www.acer.com/ac/en/HK/content/model/UM.KX1CF.D01 https://eu.aoc.com/en/gaming/products/monitors/24g2u-bk (the one with the old panel not the new sh*t one)

Hello, I need help I don't know what would be better in between the 2 graphic cards in a gaming laptop 1660 Ti max P and 3050 I'm scared that the 3050 don't have enough Vram that's my biggest concern (mostly playing triple A games GTA/Witcher/Just cause and other like dirt raly 2.0, Civ ...) And my other big concern is that the 1660 has ddr3 ram I don't know how bad or how better ddr4 would be and last the processor is the I-5 8300H will it be enough? I'm of course opened to other proposition (My perfect pc would be a Risen with a Nvidia 3050/60, 8go of ram upgradeable, doss i can do it myself, space for 1 NVMe and one sata so that I can add storage under 1000€) of course this is hard to find but I can make compromise on the graphic card for example an older one with more Vram. Ty for your help Here are the Links to the store if you need more info. https://www.darty.com/nav/achat/informatique/ordinateur_portable-portable/portable/acer_an515-545137i5_16_12.html https://www.darty.com/nav/achat/informatique/ordinateur_portable-portable/portable/dell_g15_r7_16_12_3060_1.html https://www.darty.com/nav/achat/informatique/ordinateur_portable-portable/portable/dell_g15_i5_8_12_3050.html#product_caracteristics

Hi all, I want to buy a gaming laptop with a budget of 1500€. Thing is, i dont know which ones are really worth it (i know pc is better but i need to be mobile). One friend has a MSI and is happy with it but he got it for a really good deal and another friend has a ASUS which he is not happy with because it thermal throttles. So i dont know which brand is the really good for its price. Im mostly concerned for heat development as i cant do anything against a overheating laptop. I would prefer for it to be a Nvidia card because of personal preferance. I would be really grateful if anyone could help me.

Budget (including currency): 1700 € Country: Germany Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Minecraft (modded) / Vanilla with Shader, FF14, Warzone, Ark, and some future games. Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I'm upgrading from my system Wich had a GTX 1050 ti and an i5 7500 (non-K) CPU I'm currently looking for a PC Wich has at least a rtx 3070 GPU and I've heard that an Intel core i5 12400F is good enough to handle my resolution. I play at WQHD and my Monitor is 120hz (free sync/ gsync compatible) I'm quite uncertain if I should spend the extra cash I have on a better GPU or if I go for more storage/RAM Edit: found my partlist in my onenote: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/qr8tW4 Thanks, LiquidSpectra

Budget (including currency): < 400 USD Country: United States of America Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Video editing, browsing, light content creation. Other details: My mother is looking to upgrade from her Dell Precision M4600 mobile workstation with 8GB RAM and a Quadro 1000M GPU to something that can handle modern GPU-reliant video editing. She'd like to use Kdenlive; the min. sys. reqs. are a 4+ core CPU, an OpenGL 2.0 compatible GPU, and we're hoping for at least 16 GB of RAM. She wants a desktop this time around; any form factor besides something enormous will fit. We want to buy used (lower cost & reduces e-waste!) I'm looking around for options, but if anyone knows of a reliable seller or something in this price range, I'd be happy for the advice! The last computer I bought was a little Dell Latitude, so I'm not exactly an expert. Also, having Winbugs Windows installed is optional. We're a Linux-powered family! Thank you for your time reading this!

Budget (including currency): 3500-4000€ Country: Spain Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: AAA games, Photo and video editing Other details: Hi, the title is self-explanatory. About 10 years ago I built a PC that has worked great for me. Both working and gaming. But these last years I had to leave a lot of games pending, especially AAA, because the PC could not handle them at good quality and 60fps. The PC already gives problems of temperatures and sudden shutdowns. So it's time to build a new PC completely, I have no use for any component of the old one. I plan to play at 2K for the moment and 4K when the monitors go down in price. Of course aiming for 144hz/fps and as high quality as possible, both now and in the future. Based on that I have assembled the following PC, although the processor is not definitive because I'm waiting to see what happens with the 7800X3D: https://es.pcpartpicker.com/list/zkV73y In case the 7800X3D goes wrong in terms of temperatures or price I intended to go for one of the non-X Ryzen. I also value Intel, but it forces me to stay on an already dead socket and I don't like that. From what I read in reviews, for gaming the difference between cpus is "only" around 10%. Do you see any change necessary? I want the PC to last as long as possible, performing well both in current AAA games and those to come in the future

Hello, I am a first time builder who is looking to create a decent budget pc for streaming and gaming. In my system I am planning to have a 1660 super gpu, ryzen 5 3600 cpu and msi b450 gaming pro carbon AC motherboard. Only issue is I don't know what ram to buy and my budget limits me to ram around £80/£90. All of the following cards are around the same price in my country so I am debating over buying; Corsair vengeance 3200mhz 2x8gb: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Corsair-CMK16GX4M2B3200C16-Vengeance-Performance-Desktop/dp/B0143UM4TC/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=2x8gb+ram+3200mhz+corsair&qid=1587128846&sr=8-1 Crucial ballistix rgb 3200mhz 2x8gb: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Crucial-Ballistix-BL2K8G32C16U4BL-Desktop-Gaming/dp/B083VMSY1B/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?dchild=1&keywords=t-force%2Bdelta%2Brgb%2B3200&qid=1587091619&sr=8-2&th=1&psc=1 HyperX fury 3200mhz 2x8gb (Also rgb): https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B07WF9M2PK/ref=psdcmw_430511031_t2_B083VMSY1B I don't mind too much about rgb but it would be a nice addition. I also wanted to ask if mystic light would work with either the crucial ballistix rgb or the HyperX fury. Any advice would be extremely appreciated. Thanks.

Hey, I bought a gtx 1660 with the intention to put it into a new pc later, but now I'm thinking if I could just upgrade the CPU and RAM and be fine. Right now the CPU can only use about 40-50% of the GPU. What could I upgrade to from the i5 6400 without changing the motherboard and would it be worth it?

Instead of editing videos on a notebook with a I3-3110M, I would buy me a video-editing-PC. I have two choices: 1. Intel Xeon E5-1620 16 GB Ram Radeon R7 240 2. i7-4770 8 GB Ram NVIDIA Quadro NVS 310 Please tell me which of these you would buy for video editing in "premiere elements" or "premiere pro cs 2" and just a little bit 3d-modeling and animating in "blender".
