I recently got a sit-stand desk and I can't stop thinking about those magnetic power strip mounts that Linus briefly mentioned in a video. I almost want an update video on their progress, although I know they're probably not as high interest as the screwdriver was. It'd also be awesome if there were magnetic cable mounts to accompany them, perhaps even simply with a loop to accommodate velcro cable ties. So far I've only seen 3M adhesive ones which seem more like a brute solution with zero room for mind-changing.

New to the forum. Watching LTT youtube for years. A little bit background about myself: Electrical Engineer in the states that travels from work site to work site frequently. Has a ThinkPad E15 Gen2 issued by my current employer. I always enjoy working with 2 monitors when possible. So I started looking up cheap 15.6" portable USB-C monitors on Aliexpress. I end up got one for around $80. Nothing fancy, 1080p and supports single USB-C connection for both Video and power supply. The seller claims that the monitor supports reverse charging to my laptop if connected with the power brick came with my laptop. This is one of the most important feature for me. I don't want to connect seperate HDMI, USB power cable every time when I need to use the monitor. A signle USB-C cable solution is optimal for people processing cheap laptop that only came with one USBC/TB port and also need it for charging. Anyway. The monitor works ok for its major functions, the panel seemed to be even better then the 300nits junk came with my ThinkPad. But I don't like the cheap cover type stand that came with it, you know, like those cover stands for ipads. Not very stable, need a good surface, sometime would allow the monitor to slip etc. I want a foldable, stable, rigid stand for my cheap portable monitor, and it better looks cool! I found nothing existing based on these search criteria. Luckly, My monitor happens to have a VESA75 M4 bolt pattern at the back. So I can build one myself. First thing first, I chose to use some kind of friction hinge (Similar to the hinge in your laptop) to build any part of my stand that requires rotation. I found the following on Aliexpress, seemed to be easy to work with and has a lot of stiffness to keep my monitor stand straight. Then I fired up Fusion360 to create a design based on using 4 of these hinges. I chose to designed the components so that they can easly be laser cut out of 3 mm stainless steel or aluminum plates. Of course some features require drilling and tapping, and even CNC milling. The design will be mostly flat and stays within the projection footprint when folded behind my monitor. But will also unfold and become a more typical stand. People with sharp physics instinct probably already noticed that the base of the this stand is a bit too short to support the monitor from tilting in some daily angles. So I change the base design a little bit. Note that the part that will be on the front side of the monitor has been extended. This change of base design will make the overall footprint expand out of the projection area of the monitor when folded. Hense became less foldable and ugly. So I had to change the design of the VESA mount and center supporting bar. This also created some room of adaptability for different size portable monitors if needed. I also designed different size center support bars trying to accommodate different size monitors. I have sent drawings out for fabrication. If folks are interested in my little project I will keep posting updates. ----------------------------------------------------------------11/11/2022 Update---------------------------------------------------------------- The parts showed up in a DHL package yesterday. Of course being so cheap they had to miss a few features... They forgot to Drill and tap all the M2.5x0.45 mini screw holes! So I had to do it with a hand drill. I also had to file the Radius feature on the center support bar. But after all that. The thing assembles fine.

I am attempting to set up a 5.1 surround sound system. I'm planning to place 2 of the 4 satellites on vertical floor mounts with the other 2 mounted to walls. What is the best road to travel as far as purchasing floor mounts? I'm looking for something around 3 foot(Yes I know it's not exactly ear level) and within $20-30(2 pack preferred). The same budget applies for the wall mounts(the speakers are obviously not self powered so they weigh a pound meaning weight isn't an issue) I was looking at the shelf wall mounts that have parallel clamps and the mounts that screw directly into the speaker(the speakers use that non-proprietary female 1/4 hole, I can't remember what exactly that screw is called I think it's a C19). Total budget $40-60 USD. Cheers!

So i'll be buying all of my components tomorrow- (WOO) https://pcpartpicker.com/list/wCbX6X So besides an AM4 mounting bracket for the cooler, I have NOTHING on hand, I don't know if I need screws, other mounts, cables, height adjusters, some people say the big 1080ti's can lean/tilt/sag because of the weight, i don't know how to prevent this, I know motherboards are put on tiny little height adjustors, no idea what I need for that, (or how to) --I want everything neat and tight but i'm completley unsure of what I need to buy aftermarket to build my rig. thanks for your guys' expertise!

I'm looking for an affordable monitor mount that can hold my 27" display and my 29" 21:9 display. I'm seeing most list as accepting 27" max so i'm not sure if the wider monitor would cause an issue. Anyone have any experience/suggestions for this. Just looking to get them off my desk for a bit of extra space.

I am using a blue yeti and it's always in the way of my setup. I have a glass table with a metal frame so I'll need some sort of clamping mount. I know that if i buy a really cheap one it'll end up breaking and it'll aslo break my microphone so the argument is "you get what you pay for" but some of these mounts are really expensive. Do you guys have any suggestions for any affordable microphone mounts?

I own a "Acer Predator 34-inch Curved UltraWide QHD (3440 x 1440) NVIDIA G-Sync Widescreen Display (X34 bmiphz)" and would like to know if there is a multi monitor mount that supports this? I have not been able to find many details of anyone doing a multi display set up using this monitor. I ideally would like to use this with a few cheap 1080p displays on the left, right, and above this monitor. What I am trying to get at and am wondering is there any multi monitor mount that support this 34inch display and one on each side of it (and possibly above it) and if so could you point me in the direction and give me any advise on challenging that maybe faced and display choices if needed.

I just purchased an Asus Rog Swift 34" ultrawide monitor and I'm looking for anyone that has this mounted to the wall. Was wondering what mount they used for it? Would love to use a monitor arm, but unfortunately I currently have a glass desk, so this won't fit my current setup. The stand is just to large for my desk and I would like the monitor back closer to the wall. I love the display ! Looks and feels like a solid build quality, but I found out after setting up the light bleed on the panel is too much. I think, I will be returning and trying my luck out with a new panel. Seems like a great monitor just can't justify the money spent for this much light bleed. If anyone else has any other recommendations I would be glad to hear them.

Hello Guys! I'm currently on the lookout for a monitor mount which can support my 32'' Monitor which is the Viewsonic VX3209.. I'm up to suggestions for Monitor mounts that aren't drill in ones into the wall which are under $100 AUD. And I would like to know if this monitor would work if I put it onto a 27'' Mount?? Cheers

So recently I have been looking into monitor mounts for my monitors. I have two MSI Optix g27c monitors and they are non vesa monitors. The piece is nothing I have ever seen before. I did try to research for some monitor mounts for this monitor but it seems like there is no luck. I would like to keep my monitors because I spent around $600 on them. The back of the monitor is a very peculiar piece of metal.

So I'm looking to hang my pump/res combo from the top of my case (Lian Li Alpha 550W) where the fans would normally go. I've found a reservoir clamp (Singularity Ethereal Reservoir Mount) that will do the job, however it's super pricey ($41 for one). Do any of you know of any alternatives that don't cost as much as a radiator? Thanks for any help in advance.

As the title suggests I'm trying to find mounts to hold the acer predator x34, I haven't been able to find any on online stores and the ones people keep recommending can only hold 27" and some 30". if anyone can find one on a Canadian site it would be appreciated if you could help me out with finding a mount.

So I am currently building my water cooling set up and will update this as much as I can So I am using a really old case Lian Li 2010-B and with a bit of elbow grease hopefully finish this before my birthday (October) My issues are: What fan is both quiet(in a reasonable sense) and cheap What is better to use as a fan/rad mount? Aluminium or Plexi (gonna make a custom one my own) Is the rear IO really important to keep? (was planning to do a vertical stand for the GPU with a riser and plan to move the MOBO tray closer to give some space on the back for more wire management and HD/SSD space) I Will be updating this build as frequent as possible and post actual pics when I get home. I've bought a Corsair Carbide Spec 03. I've just mounted my motherboard to it. I went to screw my CPU heatsync in and found that the screws weren't catching. So I unscrewed the mother board to find there's nothing to screw the heatsync to on the case. What do I do? I have no idea what my mother board is. Thank you.

Hi guys and gals, I am going to build my first PC at the end of this year, I have gathered my money, did my research and found my deals. Last thing I need is a case. HOWEVER, because I like wierd and unusual things, I stumbled across the Maingear Shift, which has a 90° rotation of the motherboard, meaning that the IO shield and all the ports come out the top instead of the back. I love the idea of the graphics cards facing upwards. But I can't find any other cases like the Maingear Shift. I need your help people. Please send me cases with rotaded motherboards. Just keep in mind that I'm not willing to spend $200+ on a case. Cause with that money I might as well just buy a corsair 760T. Thank you forum!!!!!

Where would I get some quality anti vibration fan mounts for fans, such as the Corsair AF140 and the Noctua NF-P14?

I'm looking at buying the Erogtron LX Desk Mount (http://www.ncix.com/detail/ergotron-lx-desk-mount-lcd-de-51666.htm) and it says it is for 24" monitors up to 20lbs. I'm looking at picking up the Asus PB287Q 4K monitor. It is 28" but only 17lbs, so can I use it with this desk mount?

I've been looking into getting some Anti-Vibration Screws / Mounts to see if it will help with my BitFenix 230mm Led Fan I have because it is the loudest part on my system.
