I bought a iCUE LINK H150i RGB and it seems one of the little plastic bags that contain the screws got torn. The screws & washers (aka spacers) got out, and the iCUE LINK system has got magnets all over so they got stuck to various things. I recovered everything except a single washer that's still missing. The washers are for the smaller screws that mount the AIO to the case (in my instance, a 5000D). I don't want to put in the screw without the washer so I figured I'll just make do with 11 mounting screws instead of 12...one less screw in the middle shouldn't be an issue right? But the bigger question I have is that I suspect the 12th washer is still in there somewhere, stuck to something. I looked everywhere around the AIO, even took out the pre-installed fans. Just can't find it. I don't think it fell into the radiator fins (there's no magnets in there so it should've made some noise when I shook it ). Assuming it's stuck somewhere it shouldn't be, am I risking a short? Should I seek to return the AIO & get a replacement?

Is there something messing on the gpu, i bought it on monday and when i Start a game it does buzzing noice, i dont know if its the psu that it has not enough Power or the gpu wit the messing thing, i got a 600w System power, a amd ryzen 5 4600g and 32gb RAM. Im scared pls help

I just buy PSU and I noticed some pin on the cable is missing is this normal?, and I also noticed a small metal object on the box I afraid one of the pin on the cable is come loose. Hello there my friends! Happy new year! A couple of days ago. I bought a new motherboard with a new processor. Asus - PRIME Z690-P WIFI D4 - DDR4 Core i7 12700k SSD - 1Tb - GPT. 16gb ram - 2400 mhz (i know, it's a little bit underpower, but just for now, i´m using the old ones). Despite all of that, i can't install Windows 11 on my Pc. According to windows, TPM 2.0 is missing. Did you guys know, how can i enable that?! I tried to follow up some videos, but it seems, that my BIOS, is not the same as the videos. So, if anyone can help me, i will be greatful! Many Thanks! -
I recently went on a trip and took photos on my phone(REDMI NOTE 8)....so i tried moving it to my pc... i selected the pictures and CUT-PASTED it....it moved a few pics then some catastrophic error message came and then explorer crashed...and all my pics went missing...not in the phone....not in the recycle bin...not in my pc pls help

Good morning/afternoon/evening, I recently picked up a shiny new NVME drive for my MSI GE72VR 7RF laptop. After installing and attempting a clean Windows 10 install the computer started behaving weirdly. After about 10 minutes of up time it would lose connection to wifi, the usb ports would stop working, and it would refuse to reboot. Thinking that it was a problem with the image I recreated my boot device with Rufus and reinstalled with the same outcome. After that I removed the NVME drive and attempted to reinstall Win10 on my 2 tb platter drive. The same thing happened. After several minutes of near panic attacks I decided to give Win 8.1 a test to see if it would work, it did. However, it absolutely refuses to allow me to install the drivers for the network controller and as a result will not allow me to connect to the internet. Is there a decent offline solution that will help me get my driver installed? Is there another route I can attempt to get Win 10 working?

I recently walked a friend through building a pc via text messages. It's using windows 11 and has a radeon rx 6650xt gpu. He updated gpu drivers and did everything he's supposed to do. The pc works great but the issue is when he right clicks on desktop; "AMD Radeon settings" option is missing. It's AMD's equivalent to nvidia control panel. He can't change any graphics settings other than what is in adrenaline software. No texture filtering, antialiasing, power management, or anything. Has anyone ever experienced this? I've seen some "fixes" on YouTube but they require going deep in settings, folders, registry editor and more. The person experiencing this issue has no knowledge of computers whatsoever so I don't feel comfortable trying to instruct him remotely on a method I can't test myself because I only use nvidia gpus

Hi everyone, in desperate need of some help with my drive disappearing. I "upgraded" to windows 11 in Jan and my HDD connected via SATA is not on disk management anymore. Other SSDs arent showing up either. Pretty much anything connected via SATA (my m.2 drives are fine) - They show up on bios - Ive swapped out drives/cables ... still nothing - reinstalled / flashed bios - reinstalled windows! - downloaded chipset drivers etc. - bunch of other stuff. When loading windows 10 it shows up but not on windows 11 for some reason. I just finished installing all of my apps and dont want to downgrade to windows 10 and start fresh if it can be avoided. Microsoft cant help me (I just get "wait for an update" from them) Has anyone else had this issue or any ideas how I can get my drive back and have it show in disk management again. Thanks!! -
Hello, I have a new build with a PCIE SSD for OS and a HDD for storage. My problem is that the HDD doesn't show up in the BIOS at all. I have tried changing to legacy mode, didn't work. Tried enabling CSM, didn't work. Tried RAID, or more like I wanted to try, but couldn't find it at all in the BIOS no matter where I looked, so that didn't really work either. I have been struggling with this issue for hours and can't figure out a way to fix it. All the guides/solutions I have found either don't work either they have a different BIOS and different options (Like the RAID which is nowhere to be seen on my side). ---------- Specs: Motherboard : Asus PRIME Z590-P CPU : Intel Core i7-11700K 11th Gen Graphics Card : Gigabyte GeForce RTX 2060 SSD (OS) : Crucial P2 NAND NVMe PCIe M.2 2280 - 500Gb HDD : Western Digital Blue SATA - 2Tb

Has anyone else noticed that the latest LTT videos don't have the LTT Intro animation after the sponsor callout? Or is it only on the YT videos? like a Floatplane exclusive feature..? Or am I crazy? Knowing Linus if they did remove them I'm guessing there's a business reason behind it... like they noticed that it has nudged up some metric like retention of watch time or smth. Or they're experimenting so if no one notices they'll just leave it out... I know they're sponsor call out is 5s so I always hit the right arrowkey. If you hit "L" you skip the intro too, but I never do that. Maybe most people do and they noticed and decided to just remove it? I don't get it.... Why is the intro gone? I do sense like the flow of the video is less interrupted but... or the immediate jump gives it some sort of energy. I edit videos so I feel there is smth to be said about no intro.... but I miss it dearly and it seems there was no reason given? I'm not on twitter so idk if this has already been talked about there or the subreddit or smth.. I also don't use reddit. Hello. I replaced my HDD in my Xbox One X because the old one had gone bad. I followed a tutorial on how to format and replace my hard drive. I formatted the hard drive correctly, did the Offline Update with the OSU1 file, plugged the hard drive back into my computer and I put the bootanim.dat onto the drive. I put the drive back in the xbox and still no boot animation (starts up fine) I pulled the drive back out of the xbox and plugged into my PC and the bootanim.dat file that i put into the drive prior just disappeared, poof, gone. I am not sure but it seems that its deleting itself for some reason? I formatted correctly, offline updater worked just fine, i put the bootanim.dat file in both A and B folders, made sure to get the latest file for the boot animation.. I am at an impasse and it's been bothering me for a long time now.

I have a Lenovo Y50, its really old and keyboard is dirty so weeks ago i ordered a new upper body/case for it which is the palm-rest area with the keyboard and touch-pad which is built in. yesterday the product arrived and i tear my laptop apart and assembled it again on the new body. everything seems to be working such as back-lit, keyboard keys, touch-pad, light indicators. The only problem is the way the touch-pad works. first, the touch-pad on the new body doesn't have gestures, i cant even right click by using two finger click at the same time, i need to press the right side of the touch-pad to right click, and it can only do left/right click and scroll. Secondly , its really slow (as in the dpi is very low) so it requires many slides just to move the cursor from left to right of the screen. So i thought the touch-pad driver doesn't match or something so i thought if i uninstall the current one and scan for hardware changes on device manager then windows will automatically download new drivers for my touch-pad. After i did that the touch-pad is missing from my device manager and i literally cannot use my track-pad at all. its like windows doesn't know i have a touch-pad. and now i cant get it back. there is only HID-compliant mouse in my device manager. Help please.

I was trying to fix my ssd and I went into the disk properties and went to use the error checking tool built into windows and then the drive just disappeared from the file explorer and I can't get it back. It isn't in read only mode and it says that the drive is locked. It was disabled but I was able to re enable it however it still says it is locked. Under the Disk management tool in windows it keeps yelling at me about volumes and the command prompt says that it cannot open volumes for direct access. it also says the disk is online but I cannot reactivate the volumes. I am honestly lost and confused and I have gone through tons of forums and youtube videos and I have no clue what to do. I have attached a picture of what it is saying in my disk management tool. Also the brand of the ssd is the Samsung 970 Evo plus

Hi. I have a Toshiba Satellite C55-A-1N1 with 8gb of ram, a Intel core i5 and a 120gb ssd. I updated the laptop from Windows 10 anniversary update to Windows 10 Creators Update. Now my computer will not let me login. I login and it just takes me back to the log screen without even saying welcome. After doing it a few times it just blue screens. I rebooted my pc into safe mode with networking and now i logged in but no Windows apps are on including settings and the WiFi shows available networks but when i click on the icon nothing happens. Please can you help me and thank you. -
So I am trying to install the latest version of tails on my computer through a cd. When i boot into it I can the menu screen where it gives you the option to install it. While installing (3 minutes in) I get a error code saying "Modprobe module microcode not found in modules.dep" please somebody teach me how to fix this. Im very new to linux and dont know how it works. Thanks for your time!

Hey,just had this problem myself,heres how i fixed it 1. Right click on the problem shortcut and go to "properties" 2.Hit "change Icon" then "browse" 3.Navigate to the install directory of said game (for me its D:\Games\steamapps\common\L.A.Noire) 4.Look for the games .exe and select it 5.Choose whichever res you want and hit "Ok" 6. Hit "apply" And you are done. Hope this helps!

Been a while since I've needed another stupid thing answered. I'm trying to install Windows 7 64bit from a USB drive, but before the screen where it asks what drive to install to, it says "a required CD / DVD drive device is missing..." There are no DVD drives in the system and I've tried putting the install drive in USB 2 and 3 ports but same issue. Anyone know a solution?

Hello guys i have an issue with my GTA 5 I installed it on my pc and it says mfreadwrite.dll missing ( http://prntscr.com/dazroc ), as normal i googled the problem and it lead me to this site on which i downloaded ( https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48231 ) the future media pack and the game stilll didnt work, so after a while of browsing i found this site ( https://jwhostings.net/node/24 ) on which i downloaded more media features and guess what....game still doesn't work, i restarted the pc multiple times after installing the new features! Help me pls

Hey guys, I apologize in advance for rookie mistakes but this was my first go at doing a fresh install on an existing system. For information my C: drive only had windows and automaticaly installed software on it. I have quite a few problems, but the main one is this. I had many crashes and issues with my computer lately so in a last attempt to save it I tried a clean reinstal of win7 ultimate on my C: while I still had my two other disks for content and games. After the clean install I'm having lots of issues with the adobe suite and office. I cannot open them anymore and none of my hundreds of games and softwares are appearing on the control pannel programs list. Is there a way to refresh it or something ? Do I have to manually uninstall all hundreds of them on my other disks in order for them to appear on the program list ? Thanks in advance...

I recently purchased the ROG Strix Z390-E gaming LGA 1151 (300 series) Intel motherboard and ran immediately into a brick wall. A package of screws and stand offs was missing for the M.2 memory slots. Wouldn't be a problem except that the thread size is different than anything else on the motherboard. I have been told that the stand offs and screws for the motherboard will work except that they are about twice as big as the holes available for the M.2 retainers. I've contacted the seller and the manufacturer and both are not being cooperative. If someone could please link me to somewhere I can purchase these items I would be most appreciative. This is the only thing I'm waiting on to finish my system and this run around is driving me insane. Thanks in advance.
