Budget (including currency): 1000 USD Country: Egypt Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: some 1080p gaming, mostly malware analysis so I'll need a couple of VMs) Hi peeps, This is my first build so bear with me I'm trying to get a mid-range build and I've decided to get a Ryzen 5 3600 CPU. I live in Egypt so Ryzen 5000 series CPUs are not available atm I need help picking a motherboard, GPU, RAM and PSU. I looked at the Gigabyte B550 Aorus elite V2 and it looks cool but I wanna know what you think! Thanks

Budget (including currency): $800~ Country: U.S. Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: ARMA 3, SCUM, Hell let loose, ect Other details Hello. I have built pc's before, but that was back in 2004. I am way out of the loop on hardware/software. I want to build a PC for the games mentioned above (and most likely some simulators), and I want the best items to run the games at Ultra, but I also don't want to pay for overkill on hardware. I.e.: I don't want the latest and greatest hardware if I don't need it. I want this build to be as cheap as possible. I AM STARTING FROM SCRATCH. I want: -any possibility of playing on a 65" tv?? -at LEAST 16GB ram -SSD drives -A MARBLE MOUSE (!)(is Logitech the only company that still makes these?) -overclocking ability -windows 10 -a monitor and hopefully @1440 resolution (or whatever the gold standard is nowadays) -high cooling capabilat. -sound card wifi/hardwired ethernet card Looks do not matter. I don't care if it's atx or micro atx. Again, I do NOT need the newest stuff. Only the stuff that is juuuuuust good enough to run at max resolution @ at LEAST 60 fps. THANK YOU IN ADVANCE. I will stop yelling now. I'm Ron Burgundy?

Hello! I am looking to build a mid range gaming pc for about 1500$-1800$. This will be my first build ever. I have done really extensive research and come up with great components, but my list is not fufilled and has some holes. Please help me pick my parts for the build. Also, what is that warning that shows in pcpartpicker (image 1), it kinda scares me that some component is not gonna work. The theme for my build is white. I just cant find a gpu so I need help with finding one thats good for gaming. I plan to play CSGO, GTA V, Microsoft Flight Sim, Minecraft with shaders, etc. Thank you in advance! https://pcpartpicker.com/list/xqMmbh (the mobo in image 1 is not my choice for it i just threw it in for context, however it was my choice 15min ago but then i realised it doesnt have wifi and i dont have an access to ethernet so i need built in wifi)

Budget (including currency): £2000 Country: UK Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Many games but not too much plus some school work from here to there. Mostly gaming Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): For this PC, I am using an Intel i5 10400f and a RTX 3060 (ASUS ROG looks very nice) and for the Motherboard of my build I am using a ASUS ROG STRIX B360-F Gaming ATX. For RAM I am using Crucial ballistix 16gb and for storage I am using a Crucial P5 250gb NVME while for the chonky folders and stuff I am using a 2 tb WD blue HDD. CPU cooler is Corsair H100i elite capellix and the case is a Corsair 4000x RGB because it looks nice and good airflow. Now finally for the PSU I am using a Corsair RM750 750w 80 plus gold, Fully modular. For now this will be my idea for my very first PC build! For Gaming peripherals I am going full Steelseries with an Apex 3 keyboard, Rival 3 mouse and Arctis 1 .If you want feel free to comment any advise or tell me if my Setup is good enough!

I'm building a future proof-ish mid range gaming PC, but my issue is PSU, right now I'm aiming for the Corsair RM650 80+ Gold, I found it for 210 USD taxes + shipping included, Is that a good price to get it for, or are there other alternatives. The build so far: CPU: 3400g (in terms of processing power this is more than enough for gaming, it won't bottleneck any mid range GPUs, and the VEGA 11 afaik is the best iGPU so far) RAM: Crucial Ballistix 2x 8Gb 3200MHz MBD: Asus Prime B550M-K SSD: Crucial MX500 1Tb Case: Cougar MG 120G (cheap case, with 3.5in bay, so even a non modular PSU won't mess up the aesthetics) Getting a GPU right now is crazy, I was hoping to get a 3060Ti or a 3060, but the ones I found go for around 1000 USD. Until the prices go down, I'll settle for Vega 11. Any feedback is welcome. Thanks.

Hey all! I need suggestions for a new mid-range PC. I have a budget of about $700ish. Basic workload includes gaming(CIV, 7 days to die ,minecraft types), programming/ app development and heavy chrome use. I have an old 720p monitor that I plan to use. I am fine with the cheaper AMD cards. It should not stutter at basic tasks I am thinking 16gigs of ram, my laptop struggles with 8 right now. Thanks!

Its Smart Phone Wars Here someone can put forward two phones they like and the community can debate on which is better I started these wars with two phones I am having trouble deciding between. The Contenders are Nexus 6p and One+ 3

So I'm planning on doing my first PC build. I haven't done this kind of thing before so apologies if I seem a little slow to understand things. If anyone sees a problem with my plan/ anything missing/ has any recommendations I'd be very grateful. First things first I'm living in Ireland and my budget is 600-800 euro/ 635-847 USD/ 858-1145 CAD. My goal with the build for now is a single monitor setup that can play all modern games well but I'm not looking to break and benchmark records. I'd also be interested in the HTC vive and maybe 2 monitors in the future but the rig need not be fully for that now, just capable of taking some upgrades if needed. My proposed build is as follows: Motherboard: Gigabyte 990x- Gaming SLI Crossfire CPU: AMD FX-8350 4.2GHz 8 Core RAM: 8GB Corsair Vengeance LP 1600Mhz DDR3 * Note these three come as a bundle from Amazon.co.uk GPU: MSI Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 3GB OC (Amazon.co.uk seem to have plenty of variants of this but from what I can see this seems good) PSU: Cooler Master B500 V2- 500W (Komplett.ie) Case: BitFenis Neos Tower (Widely open to suggestions here) SSD: Sandisk SSD Plus 240gb Sata 3 2.5inch Peripherals and OS: I am able to source these so I am not including these in my budget. I would be looking to get a good setup when I can however so good value suggestions for these would be accepted. Thanks to all!

Hi all i'm relatively new to building PC's but i've spent the better part of the last month trying to plan out some upgrades for my old rig that my brother made me when I was still a kid over a decade ago. [My Current Build] Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i5 CPU 750 @ 2.67GHz, 2661 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 4 Logical Processor(s) 2x 4GB DDR2 Kingston Ram sticks An old MoBo 1TB HDD 256GB SSD And an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti I'm budgeting around $800 USD for the upgrade and have been looking into getting a ryzen 1600x for the CPU and crammin 2 760 ti's in SLI but after looking more into it i'm not so sure anymore. I really am just planning on using this to continue playing some more current games at higher settings like Player Unknown as well as Pray, Wolfenstein 2, and FFXIV at a high fidelity 1080p. Sorry for the poor formatting in advance and any help would be great thank you all in advance.

I'm planning to get a custom PC built by a company. However this gives me some disadvantages which i'm willing to work around with and many other advantages i found overpowering the disadvantages. Planning to use this pc for: video editing gaming - mostly overwatch (1080@ultra) screen recording - using obs to record overwatch (1080@60) I'm looking for a white/blue build. I'm not using pcpartpicker cause its currently down and i want to show other options. Processor: Ryzen 1600X My other options: the whole ryzen line up, intel i5 7600k Cooler: I'm not so sure but my options are as followings. My other options: Only Cryorig/ CoolerMaster/ Corsair/ NZXT 's Cooler. Motherboard: Asus B350-Plus My other options: Only Gigabyte/ Asus 's AM4 Motherboards. Ram: G.Skill Ripjaws V 8x2GB 2800mhz Graphics card: Gigabyte 1060 Aorus 6GB My other options: Asus 1070 Strix OC 8gb , Asus 1070 Dual OC 8gb, Gigabyte 1070 G1 8gb, Gigabyte 1070 Windforce 1070 8gb, Gigabyte 1070 Aorus 8gb, Asus 1060 Strix OC 6gb, Asus 1060 Strix DC2 6gb, EVGA 1060 Superclocked ACX 2.0 6gb, Gigabyte 1060 Aorus Extreme 6gb Power Supply: FSP Hydro 600W (80+ Bronze/non modular) My other options: Only FSP/ Silverstone/ CoolerMaster 's Powersupply. (some model's might not be available) Case: NZXT S340 Elite My other options: the non elite version SSD: Corsair Force LE 120gb My other options: Intel 540s M.2 240gb, Samsung 850 Evo 250gb v-nand, Samsung 850 Evo 250gb M.2 SSD Hardrive: Western Digital 1tb Blue My other options: Seagate 1tb Barracuda (this is the same price as the one i chose) Debating whether i should change downgrade my processor, I can't seem to find a motherboard that has the same price range as the b350-plus that has the color scheme that im looking for so i might have to end up going with a black/red build. The graphics card i'm also not sure if i should go for the extreme version. As for cooling, i would greatly like a water cooler if possible even if it means going back to older models such as the corsair h55, but then again im on a budget. On top of all of that, i need a monitor suitable for my needs. budget for this is 350 usd plus or minus.

I recently bought a ryzen 5 1600x and a tomahawk b350. Now I need the gpu, probably within the range from gtx 960 to 1070. Should I utilize the crossfire and buy an amd for future proofing? I would want a bit cheap, still reliable for about 3-5 years and can run at least 1080p.

Hello, at the moment I am using the computer of my parents, but it is getting too slow and too old to handle most games I play. These are the specs of the system: CPU: AMD Phenom II x2 550 dualcore 3.1 GHz CPU cooler: unknown, air cooler Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-MA790XT-UD4P RAM: unknown, 12GB ddr3 Storage: 1 250GB SSD, 2 250GB HDD's, 1 1TB HDD Video card: Sapphire Radeon HD 4770 512MB GDDR5 Case: Cooler Master elite 333 PSU: unknown Would it be worth it to upgrade to this comupter: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/JoostVisser/saved/LhdbjX? If so are there better parts to chose? I have a hard limit of 2000 USD and I'm mostly gonna use it far gaming, and maybe some streaming. Please help me out :3

Hello guys, This would be my first time building a PC so I am not familiar with what parts are compatible with each other (I'm not really familiar with the motherboards) Anyways I would be using this for the following: 1. Gaming (1080p or possible 1440p with the Witcher 3 as the most demanding game in my library.) 2. AutoCAD 3. Light content creation in the future *I am not overclocking, it's too hot here anyway. Basically I want to build a system that's not too cheap that it will be obsolete in the near future. I'm looking for something that will still be viable for use for a while (I'm still a student so I'll hold on upgrading till I have a job). I already have the peripherals from my old system so I only need a new monitor, the system, and a copy of windows. I have a budget of around $1000 but its fine to go a little over $1200. As I've said before I am not familiar with the balance of the components. (e.g. what cooler is good for this build or what cpu should I use for this gpu to prevent bottlenecking.) I am leaning towards building this system around an 8th Gen i5 8400, I would also be needing a monitor, and a fresh copy of windows 10 on an ssd. 23" LG monitor - $180 i5 8400 - $200 windows 10 - $100 WD blue - $50 MOBO- M.2 drive- GPU- Cooler- case- PSU- RAM- Anyways tl;dr : I'm looking to build a new system tailored towards 1080p to 1440p gaming and some light content creation. A copy of windows and a monitor is included in the budget and so I need your help in building a new system *feel free to recommend something way different based on what I described it would be used for.

Hello! I'm in the process of planning a HTPC for mid-range gaming and VR applications, with future plans for more media consumption. Budget is hovering around $1000-1200 and I am trying to keep it as compact as possible for portability and space saving. It's hooking into a home theatre with 1080p projector and surround sound via HDMI for the most part. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/332nXH Here's what I have so far, I'm looking for some extra input mostly and maybe some suggestions on alternative part options. Thanks!

Hello, super new noober gaming pc builder here (21 from UK) just hoping for some tips when looking for a graphics card for around £100 to £150 ($125 to $200 ish) I love Linus tech tips but I find it a little hard to watch a video and remember information, I'm really eager to learn and my end goal is to build a mid range gaming pc so I can play games like Attila and Rome 2 total war on like good to great settings, and sims 4 (and Timber and Stone if anyone has heard of it, great game) I'll be really appreciative if anyone takes the time to give me some tips on purchasing mid range(?) graphics cards and really appreciative if anyone shows me to an informative thread, so thanks

Hey, I'm looking into buying a new laptop for about 1500$. I currently have a 1060/i7 laptop, but I'm not happy with it because it is loud and has very little fan control. I'm looking for recommendations on laptops/brands that are well built, has good cooling considering its size, < 5kg, has good fan controls (preferably 0-100% speed control), around 13" or 15" size and a good trackpad. Spec doesn't matter that much, most brands has offers that will cover my needs anyway and I can figure it out, I'd like to not have a horrendous screen though. Side note, I have always had an issue with windows laptops frequently crashing when trying to wake from sleep, is that just a thing windows does on laptops? Thanks for any responses!

Hi all! I hope your weeks are going well so far. As the title states, I have never built a PC before. I have upgraded components, but never built from scratch. I just wanted to make sure I'm making the most of my money. Budget: $800-$900 (flexible within reason) Use: Primary use will be gaming, but will also use for work related things. (Not really a factor on the build) Monitor setup: I will only be doing 1080p gaming. I don't have a great monitor, but I plan on upgrading later. 4k gaming is not important to me. The only thing I have bought is the case. I am not opposed to buying used parts. I am not in a hurry, so I am scanning forums looking for good used parts. Here is everything except CPU, GPU and Mobo. ($314.75) PCPartPicker part list](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/b3VxdX) / [Price breakdown by merchant](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/b3VxdX/by_merchant/) I live right by a Microcenter and they offer good deals on Motherboard/CPU combos. I plan on buying my CPU/Mobo from there. The two CPUs I'm looking at are: I5-8400/Gigabyte Z390 UD ($268.99) (Total: $583.74) https://www.microcenter.com/product/5002338/intel-core-i5-8400,-gigabyte-z390-ud,-cpu---motherboard-bundle I5-9600k/Gigabyte Z390 UD ($318.98) (Total: $633.73) https://www.microcenter.com/product/5002598/intel-core-i5-9600k,-gigabyte-z390-ud,-cpu---motherboard-bundle The 8400 is a very capable CPU, and quite a bit cheaper. However, the 9600k can be overclocked and would probably be better for longevity. The 8400 will leave about $300 for a gpu. The 9600k will leave about $250 for a gpu. I have seen used 1070's around $225-$275 and 1070ti's around $300-$350. If we are looking at new cards, I'm pretty much stuck with a 1060. I have seen a few 1070's for $300, but I'm sure they won't last long. I'm leaning to 8400 to save a little money for a better gpu. The only thing I don't want to buy used is Mobo and CPU. More money could open up if I find other good used parts. What is the opinion of the forum? I'm open to suggestion!

Omen 17 OR MSI GT72VR (Location: Saudi Arabia)
Bibin posted a topic in Laptops and Pre-Built Systems
I'm an Indian Expat in Saudi Arabia Considering factors such as availability and price (Yes, price here is very high than from US or UK), I'm torn between Omen 17 and MSI GT72VR. Specs are all the same. Except for Omen is $102 more but i get 256GB SSD more. Choice of customization is limited here but come with 2 yrs warranty as standard. I could buy from Amazon.com but worried about warranty issues and shipping back and forth. Portability is very minimum. (No, Desktop won't cut it) I'm looking forward to buy the one with a better color accurate display. Specs are as follows: processor type : Intel Core i7-7700HQ, (processor speed - 2.8 GHz) graphics card : NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 (6 GB) display type : 17.3" FHD-WLED 120Hz IPS Anti-Glare Display - 1920 X 1080 (WUXGA) operating system : Windows 10 (64 bit) Storage : 256 GB SSD &1 TB HDD RAM :16 GB RAM http://www.jarir.com/sa-en/computers-peripherals/powerful-gaming-computers/gf72vr-7rf-laptops-492987.html http://www.jarir.com/sa-en/computers-peripherals/powerful-gaming-computers/omen-17-an099nx-laptops-494376.html Jarir.com is the Amazon of electronics here. -
hello, i decided to build a new pc. i had future proofing and 1000usd pc in my mind. take a look and share any suggestions specially for gpu. also i am from india so give a couple of substitutes for availability. i want to play some games like batman arkham knight, cod, similar games. 1080p at mid to high settings is my niche. as i said a future proof build is prefered. also suggest any other cheaper components at similar performance. i am using the hdd from my old pc and the optical drive as well. i am not buying the peripherals no(hopefully i may get the keyboard from lmg). also the total cost is 1000usd after conversion in my country so because of the taxes the actual price may vary elsewhere. the specs are:- cpu- intel core i5 6600k gpu- nvidia gtx 960(asus strix 4gb oc) mobo- asus z170a ram-8gb corsair vengeance LPX 2400Mhz c16 case-Corsair Carbide SPEC-03 Mid-Tower cooler-cooler master hyper 212x psu-corsair CX600M i have not built the rig yet so if there are suggestions share them fast. thank you. If possible try to check the availability on Amazon. In or Amazon. Co.UK with India delivery
