so i bought my Corsair Ram Kit with the code CMW16GX4M2D3600C18W which is a 16 gb kit 2x8 and i have been planning to upgrade to 32 and buying the same kit when i looking around i found a difference in the Code for the rame being CMH16GX4M2D3600C18W i looked around and found it is a newer SL model after looking around a lot i found the difference is small only big difference im considered about is the height on the SL ram it is 44mm height on the older kit it is 51mm length and wanted to ask here if it would be a huge difference in looks that it would make it ugly or it's such a small difference it wouldn't be noticable note: i have looked for the older kit i would have to pay around 20$ more where im from for it

My case is super empty and I don't like it. I plan on getting a smaller form factor case at some point, but in the meantime, is there anything I can put in my cases dead space to liven it up? I've seen people put Pops in them, but I don't know if those can stay in there, or if they're just got photos. Basically, is there anything that will mess up my PC if I put it in my case as decoration? Thanks!

I've ordered a 3080 a while back and I'm waiting for it like many of you. I'm planning to retire my old Thermaltake PC case. The case was very practical and had a ton of airflow, alas it was quite bulky and honestly, not that pretty. I'm looking for a new PC case, I don't really have a budget, but I don't want to go beyond 250€ this pretty much opens up all kinds of cases. One of the conditions is it must have a Full side window, with tempered glass. I also don't mind white cases, on some models I actually prefer them. RGB is a "nice to have" for me, but defenitly not a must (My current case is just blue LED's, the option to swap colors is nice to have) Currently this is what I'm looking for in a case in order: 1. Aestetics: Right now it doesn't matter how practical a case is, if I don't like the looks I won't buy it, since looks are objective i like cases like "Corsair carbide spec omega (white)" or the "Asus ROG STRIX Helios (black)" 2. Airflow: Less important to me now (I live in a much cooler country then I did when I bought my thermaltake) however any case that makes it impossible for fans to move air (IE tempered glass fronts) are a big no. 3. Removable dust filters: Yea I'm a lazy person, and for that reason I love magnetic dust filters Current cases I'm currently interested in: - Sharkoon Elite Shark CA200M/CA300T: Like the look and feel of these cases but there are hardly any reviews on these models - Asus TUF GT501: I like the look of this case, especially in white, however at it's price point I ask myself if there are better alternatives - Asus ROG STRIX helios: This one would pair well my my STRIX mobo, I love the look, but I feel like the front panel restricts airflow, and LED fans would probably upset the lighting on the Glass Cases I'm no longer interested in: - Corsair carbide spec omega: To me an amazing looking case, however airflow is an issue with nearly no mesh for air to pass through - Corsair Graphite 780T: This is a great case, but the plastic side cover is very off putting, and the case is too "flexible" (like the thin metal flexes too much) Suggestions are really welcome

Hello! I wonder if there are any known problems with the Aorus GA-Z270X-Gaming 9 motherboard? Are there anything I should think of if i would to get it? and is there any real difference between Aorus GA-Z270X-Gaming 9 and MSI Z270 Gaming M7? Which one is better? if there are no difference I may go with the Aorus one in my rgb build

I am well aware that this is a highly subjective topic but I just think that some basic principles of design seem to be violently brocken with these motherboard designs. About my own taste: I am not against colour but I usually prefere something subtile and organized. It might come as a surprise but I don't acctually caer to much about the colour of my stuff. I have a MSI Z77-GD65 which is brown/blue with a mix of 2x Kingston HyperX RAM in blue and 2x Corsair Vengeance LPX with a Gainward GTX 1080 Phoenix (red ...) which I bought for performance and great cooler not the colour. In the back of my Fractal Design Define R4 sits a poop-brown Noctua NF-S12A and I bought windowed sidepanel after the fact. When it is dark I don't see it that much but i will be starring at my screens anway. Why do I care? -Idk, I just see a lot of people caring and despite the fact of not caring feel that i have a sense of what a well desinged board looks like. In the end I felt the need to ask some more people like you if feel the same way. Additionally Jayztwocents recently made a video with a strawpol under it asking if we would rather buy neutral looking gear. I would if the performance wasn't a compromise but it usually is and feel like neutral doesn't meant whatever the hell some of these manufacturers do with their 'neutral' black/white/grey/silver boards. I would like to know if you guys feel the same about these motherboard or is is just me? CAUTION, spoiler below is huge. If you are just here to simply the ask me why I care please do me a favor and just ignore this post and move on. I would really like to hear your opinion in this topic though.

Hello Guys I am making myself a ryzen 7 build for gaming and mabye some recording. i got told that ryzen dosent really need a CPU Cooler and that i should rather upgrade from 1700 to 1700x than getting a kraken x62. I therefore thought about getting a kraken x31 and the 1700x now that i saved some bucks on the x62 kraken it would be around the same price getting a x31 kraken and the 1700x. Can the Kraken x31 fit the ryzen 1700x? and is the Kraken x31 a good Cpu cooler ? not to loud? The file i have linked is my build so far dont mind the danish priceings. Its about 1,200 dollar build i got at GTX 1080 allready and a 2 TB Hdd Ryzen 1700x Build.docx

So, I am looking at a display upgrade (probably in a month or two), but I realized recently that I can't run a 200hz and a 60hz display off the same GPU if I want to use both while playing games (obviously the 200hz for gaming and the 60 for discord, web browsing, OBS, etc) but I only have one GPU. My system already looks complete, and other than replacing the GPU with a higher end one, I don't really want to mess with it. Basically what I am asking is this: Is there a cheap (Sub $80) graphics card that would look good next to an Founders Edition RTX 2070 (which, btw I like what the asthetic)? Powered by PCIe slot only if at all possible. If it doesn't have a backplate, I need to be able to buy one and still be under $80. Other things that might matter Motherboard: Asus Strix Z390-E Case: In Win 805 - Black (Not the 805 Infinity) PSU: Corsair RM650x (2018) I don't have a 3d printer available to me, I also don't have space for one. I like the looks of the RTX FE graphics cards I use both screens constantly, so please don't recommend that I just use the new screen. I also can't afford two displays, I already am broke from buying a my computer >_< Please don't ask me why I need this. Just read the entire message if you want to know. Sorry for the wall of text Thank you!

I'm currently looking to change out my Mid-Tower Ultra case for another Mid-Tower, that looks a bit better, and has a decent airflow. Any ideas anyone? As said, the budget is about $100 USD. -

Hey everyone. If you've seen some of my other posts, you'll know that I'm trying to achieve build silence on a budget(ish). I'm currently rocking the Corsair 500r, which does nothing to help my cause, so I'm looking for a silent (or at least very quiet) case. The Fractal Design R5 looks super nice, but I was wondering if there were any other options that weren't so plain. My tower is the first thing you notice when you enter my room, so I'd like for it to look cool. I know it's petty, but #pcmasterrace. I'd also like to keep it $50-$100. Somewhere in the middle would be nice. (I know the R5 is slightly over, which is another reason I'm looking for options). Additionally, I have a full ATX motherboard, but if there's a case that is quiet AND not enormous, that'd be great. Thanks!

I'm in the process of completing my setup, when I've finished I want to add lots of small things like cool lights or gadgets to make my room and setup look better. I'm going to add a few LED light strips to my desk and various other areas to make the room more vibrant. I will be editing videos/gaming on my computer, so any tools that can assist said things. So, I need you're suggestions for gadgets or things I could add to my room and setup to make it look better or be more productive, Thanks! -Croum. if you're going to suggest sites can you make sure they ship to England? And not for tonnes of money

I'm currently in the process of designing a new product for all the people who are performance yet presentationally conscious. The main thing that puts me off buying noctua or similar fans is the pure ugliness of the pale browns and I'm sure allot of people will agree with me. So I've made the first draft of a shroud to encase the fan but not restrict airflow, I'm currently getting quotes to get this prototyped. So far I am split between Three materials; Steel sheet metal, Aluminium sheet metal, and ABS plastic (3D printed) Either option I go for the plans for the 3D printer I will keep updated and release them for free on this forum alone. The reason I am making this post is that i have not seen a product that achieves this goal before and would like to give it a try however I'm not the most experienced designer and would love the help of the community, What features would you want on a fan shroud or even one at all? Such as a slot to slide in a fan filter, or bespoke logos and text stamps.

Hey Guys, So currently im building my new gaming rig. It's not all about raw performance but much on looks of it. There's the problem. I need WIFI since there's no way of using a LAN cable. But since my case has a window i don't want to stick in a crappy looking PCI Wifi card. What else is out there? I heard USB solutions are bad in terms of connection stability e.g. what do you guys think? Thanks for your time Sorry for bad grammar (I'm german) Forgot to mention: The system is in a nice blue look. I've seen the red adapter from asus...

hello! I have a question about my PC, I want to put a Noctua Nh-D15 inside because of its low temps and low noise (plus it doesn't look half bad either), but I also think that a Thermaltake 360mm liquid cooler (or any liquid cooler that fits 120mm fans) would look very nice because you would be able to see most of the nice looking mobo rather than metal fins. I honestly don't know which I want, so that's why I'm asking for opinions. Let me know if you need more pics. Thanks! Ps:I didn't know which subforum to post this in, so I chose here.

Just came across this video It's interesting how vastly different the E3 trailer (2012) looks from the PS4 trailer (2014) A lot can happen in 2 years but it was rumored that all of the PS4 demo's at E3 were done with much more powerful PC's thoughts? edit ''1. The E3 Demo was run on high end PCs with PS4 controllers. 2. The so called 'PS4 gameplay' released six months ago was also filmed on high-end PCs 3. The story trailer is PS4 footage.'' - @Hawx

Ok. I'm looking at the Define R4 as the case for my gaming rig, but I feel like its airflow isn't really good enough (I may be totally wrong) so I want a case in the sub 150 US dollar range that has -Good Looks -Good Cable Management -Mid Tower Case -Good Cooling -Future upgrade ability options -Windowed Thanks in advance!
