Hey everyone ,hope you are all good . I ran into a bummer this weekend after I installed Cyberpunk 2077 , so I installed the game and at the first boot it crashed to desktop no errors no nothing , then I tried again this time I saw the cdprojekt red logo and then BsoD with video_tdr_failure it restarted tried again and the same ,so i uninstalled the game . After i uninstalled i tried other games to see if they work, none work ,they start a can see the writing at startup , i go to the menu but when it has to render something 3d it crashes 2 desktop most of them with no error or with failed do get 3d device or something like that but i tried benchmarking with heaven and it worked it gave a 46 FPS score with most settings set to high Then i started troubleshooting , i reinstalled drivers for both gpu's Nvidia and Intel ,rolled back, searched for corrupted files , malware scan ,virus scan , memory scan , reinstalled directX nothing worked ..same thing CTD or BSoD, so i got desperate , I reinstalled windows with format to the ssd which it's on, reinstalled all the drivers , tried a game boom CTD. i tried other benchmarking programs 3dMark demo .. out of 3 possible benchmarks only one works (Night Raid for home pc's with a score of 19000) the other 2 don't work , Superposition does not work and furmark score 2522. The temperatures are ok nothing over 80 C Please help. i can't afford to buy a new laptop or PC ,can i do anything else to test the gpu ? And i found this reddit tread that kind of confirms my fears but who knows Device : Asus Rog GL753VE Laptop CPU : Intel Core I7-7700HQ 2.80GHz GPU: Nvidia GTX 1050ti 4gb Ram: 16Gb HDD : 250 Gb SSD (OS) 500 Gb SSD 1 Tb HDD

I am using a mid 2013 Macbook Air running OSX El Capitan 10.11.6. When I open Messages it closes right away so I opened Messages.app/Contents/MacOS/Messages to see what was going on. That opened a Terminal window of the process and I can see a line that says 'kill: 9' pop up after about 5 - 10 seconds. I have no idea where that is coming from so maybe one of my friends did it to me as a joke? Maybe I was hacked? IDK but I do not think it was done locally so it must have been over a network. Not sure if that will help or not. Please help thanks!

Hi all, My first post here, please be kind.. I just signed up for the 99 cent for 2 months special over at skillshare that Linus advertised in one of his videos today. I quickly realized that everything is in HD and they would quickly kill my hotspot allowance if i take all the classes i want. They apparently have no customer service ( that i could find )... So Youtube lets me choose my default video quality which i set to 360 ( still looks and sounds great because, well - it's youtube magic, i guess ). Since I regularly use my cell phones and tablets with mobile hotspot for my laptop when i am out and about. I was hoping there was a way to tell Chrome to: 1: permanently set max video quality to 360 ( i'm sure it doesn't really work that way but idk what to do here ) and 2: permanetly disable all BackGround HTML5 videos which in of themselves annoy the h.ll out of me lol any help and suggestions are welcome, ty - Rich

Hello guys, I'm new here though I'm not new to hardware or PC troubleshooting but I'm here cause I Iost a GTX 550Ti from my HTPC and that's actually fine, she was almost 4 years old and was not overclocking anymore since 3 years ago so it was promising to fail already and I was just waiting for it. So my brother told me the PC had a blank/gray screen and then rebooted, I thought it was some error or he was not able to describe what exactly happened so I told him it was ok, just boot up the PC again and continue playing (he was playing CS GO I believe. Yeah, on the HTPC, he does that...) well I was occupied and when I got to the living room again he said it happened 3 more times, I noticed the GPU fan was spinning at 100% and finnally, it happened in front of me... She never sent video again after that... So GPU dead, I ordered a new Gigabyte 750Ti and it seemed to work fine, then he said it had rebooted at the same circumstances... Before that the PC was working just fine under onboard video so I thought bad luck and started stressing the 750Ti to see if Icould find the problem, nope it was just fine sitting at 68ºc MAX, this with kombustor burn-in test running, it was boosting fine (no overclocking) and acording to MSI afterburner it was asking for the full 100% power and running ok but still, after some minutes it was freezing with a blank/grey screen and then rebooting... At one moment she would not even start spinning the fan... Now I know my PSU can handle both GPUs with ease, it's a 500W EVGA Unit I tested it with a multimeter and the voltages are totally fine, I have also tried to not use the PSU dedicated power connectors, instead I used an adaptor from molex to 6-pin PCI-E, and didin't worked... This was yesterday at night, I woke up today and tried again just for the hell of it and for my suprise it IS working... at least from the molex adaptor and I'm not playing any games or running any benchmarks, it's been 20 minutes already and it did not rebooted... I'll make some tests and update this post as I findout more information. But I can only think of the mobo, since as I said, the PSU seems fine from the multimeter readings...

So before this article i was thinking "YEAH SELF-DRIVING CARS!!!" but now, i am not so sure. Ok then to the point, the short version is that there are this so-called "Moral Alrgorithms" in which you program the car to do something in a given a scenario, the example of the article is that you come out of a corner and you are about to crash into a group of people, and so you have to keep turing, crash into the wall injuring or even killing the driver (yourself) or keep breaking and crash on the people injuring some of them and keeping you safe. And so comes another decision, about this attempt of an "emotionless-decision" in which you have two options, lets say you buy a car from X-Manufacturer, you have two car models: 1. The first has the Kill-The-Driver Algorithm 2. The second has the Keep-Driver-Safe Algorithm. if the buyers is given the option, is the fault of the buyer for the outcome of the scenario? Quote of the MIT page: "One way to approach this kind of problem is to act in a way that minimizes the loss of life. By this way of thinking, killing one person is better than killing 10." I don't know, it made me think, and i want to say that it will make this community think too. And please check the original sources, they explain it better than i do. Here is the link to IFLS: http://www.iflscience.com/technology/should-self-driving-car-be-programmed-kill-its-passengers-greater-good-scenario Here are other links to MIT's page about the matter: http://www.technologyreview.com/view/542626/why-self-driving-cars-must-be-programmed-to-kill/ If you have seen this article before, please tell me so i can erase it, i searched the posts of the last 4 days and didn't found it, so i decided to do it myself.

So i did the "kill the killswitch" thing, that let me keep my old shield tablet, so now my tablets have doubled in numbers. The problem i have now, is that the old tablets will probably burn down my house one day, so i need new batteries Does anyone know any good 75 * 155 * 4mm 3.7V 5000mAh Li batteries? i found this one (a little bit smaller) and this one (from e-bay so its probably more safe) I just want a battery, that doesnt blow up, and works, or better yet if someone sells the new B01 batteries, the same as nvidia sends out in the replacement tablets if anyone has done this after doing the kill the killswitch before, then please tell me if it worked, and what battery you used Also, if anyone has recommendations where to get good quality batteries from, then please tell me Maybe you can buy a new battery directly from nvidia, if you ask in a email?

I'm personally excited about this. This was one of the most interesting games to me at E3 even though we didn't actually see gameplay because I loved the art direction, the settings, and the fact that it's being made by the folks who brought us Metroid Prime which is hands down one of the best games ever made. This was probably the #1 game that was making me consider an Xbox One (used to be ScaleBound but the reveal was very.....meh). The only problem so far is that this seems to be only for Windows 10. Even though I'm personally on Windows 10, this is a very dumb move by MS and just shows that even when they do try to prove they support PC gaming, they only go halfway. http://www.pcgamer.com/recore-is-hopefully-coming-to-the-pc/ *I'm still not 100% sure on what the forum policy is on game report in the Tech News Section so move thread if needed

I need a virus I can manually put on a computer to kill wifi
Osajustin posted a topic in Programming
To simplify this, I've been contemplating whether to do this or not. I need a program or a virus I can manually install on my little brother's computer because he is an annoying piece of s***. I rather not resort to physical violence because that's not worth it. I rather just have a program virus thing I can install on his computer to forever disable wifi connections. -
Here you have another reason why drugs are bad, kids: you end up killing your imaginary friend and then demand the death penalty, which is exactly what one Florida man did. Geoff Gaylord walked into a Jacksonville Sheriff's Office and confessed to his crime: he had repeatedly stabbed his friend "Mr. Happy" with a kitchen knife, cut up Mr. Happy with a hatchet, and buried him in his backyard. Let me remind you again that this occurred in Florida, so perhaps it should come as a surprise to no one. Gaylord and Mr. Happy were friends for seven years but, according to Gaylord, he killed him for a few reasons: "He left his empty vodka bottles all over the kitchen... never picked up his empty cocaine baggies...He messed up my apartment to the point where I just couldn't get it clean...Before Hap started doing drugs and acting weird he was my BFF...We'd go dancing, play on the children's park equipment, both huge fans of doom metal – listened to it for hours with the lights turned off." When Mr. Happy crashed Gaylord's car, and Gaylord got arrested instead, Gaylord had had enough. "That drunk driving incident I got unfairly blamed for and just how messy he had become put me over the edge and I murdered him." Gaylord was eventually taken into custody when he threatened police for not giving him the death penalty. Police found drug paraphernalia and a machine gun in Gaylord's house, and was booked on multiple charges. So much for the BFF bracelets these two exchanged. Editor's Note: So apparently this story comes from a phony site. Oh well. Even the smartest people in the world (read: Mandatory editors) get fooled every now and then. Enjoy the story anyway. http://www.mandatory.com/2015/05/12/man-kills-imaginary-friend-turns-self-in-takes-worlds-saddest/ This might be a repost but I saw this last month.

After KMSpico was recommended by a friend, I foolishly installed it. After this installation, I read up about it online and it seems to be pretty shady. I deleted the exe that I downloaded, but I know that there are more files to kill. How might I get rid of all of them?

So... my current rig with a Celeron 2.0GHz is really pissing me off: it freezes EVEN WHEN LISTENING TO RADIO WITH AIMP, doesn't let me watch Youtube EVEN @ 240p. Even an older PIII 800 MHz can do better. And, it laggs everytime, even now. The problem is not the cooling, because the thermal compound was reapplied I've decided, that I should kill it. Maybe it will make me feel better :> I could ramp up the frequency of it to the max, or etc. I'll wait for your suggestions I'm also going to buy a new rig, on LGA1366 (because I don't have that much money for a 'K' Ivy bridge/Haswell CPU). I'll going to do all my editing on it, some light gaming. Thanks in advance, RedWarrior.

Long story short, I bought a new PSU (An EVGA supernova NEX750G) to replace my current one (Corsair TX650M) as it was making a lot of coil whine. I plug everything in, the system turns on but my Graphics card does not. After multiple tries, I try putting it back in the old PSU, and it still doesn't turn on. I think its dead. Im trying to figure out WHY this happened. The key difference between the two PSU's is that the New PSU has four +12V rails, each with 20 Amps on the rail. The Old PSU had 54 amps on its single 12V rail. After checking the box of the graphics card (GTX 780) I realized I needed at least 42 amps on the 12V rail to power the card. So, could under-amping the graphics card kill it?

According to a Sky report with an "accurately slanted view" which seems to leave a lot of key details out intentionally, the 90 year old woman was... slaughtered in Slaughter, Luisiana due to an "aggressive tendency" from an 8 year old boy after having played GTA IV. The boy himself states that he accidentally shot the woman after playing with a gun he spotted lying about. Police and therapists however believe it was an intentional, evil act committed as a result of playing a violent game. Here are a few quotes from child psychologist Kristopher Kaliebe: So with his logic, playing a game with guns is training for shooting real people, just like playing a football video game will make you win the real world cup single handedly and racing an F1 game makes you completely able to take down the likes of Vettel and Alonso. Since he's under the age of 10 the boy will not be charged with criminal responsibility and is under the care of his, extremely responsible parents. No mention was made in the article of why he actually had a loaded gun which he "spotted" at home, that is, of course, completely irrelevant, nor is the fact that his parents bought him a game which was rated M, completely not part of this agenda, it's all because of the video games which are obviously simulators used by people training to commit genocide. Source: http://www.cinemablend.com/games/8-Year-Boy-Shoots-Grandmother-Head-Playing-GTA-IV-58564.html I have nothing to add to this story other than I feel really sorry that a woman had to die because of terrible parenting and that the kid is still under their custody doesn't bode well for his upbringing.

Hi, I get those quite often: http://puu.sh/bhomK/abffd43fd2.png Notice how there's 1 thread left, I can't kill the process and the only way seems to be to either relog or reboot... I have had it also happen with Space Engineers Dedicated Server and a bunch of Cryptocoin wallets, any other way to get rid of those pieces of junk? What causes them? I am eyeballing my antivirus firewall because they all have an internet connection usage... But then again they also all have harddrive usage... My antivirus is Eset Smart Security with interactive firewall.

Hello there! So just for funz I used pcpartpicker.com to "make" a beast machine for like 3-4 years of gaming. My goal was, when creating this machine to be usefull for games that will come out in 2017 and it will be green, because green. So when I finnished stacking, the price was pretty high (at least for me) and I don't know if I waisted a lot of money or is it actually so expensive. Please help me what I can modify to get a cheaper price or "better" performance. Andddd I'm not 100% sure if I go with 2K resolution or stay with 1080 (if I choose 1080, the price will go down for $608,99 because I don't need another monitor). { PCPartPicker part list: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/XmrXVn Price breakdown by merchant: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/XmrXVn/by_merchant/ CPU: Intel Core i7-4790K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor ($279.99 @ Micro Center) CPU Cooler: be quiet!
