  1. I bought a Asus ROG Strix G10CE premade. I took out the mobo, CPU, and GPU. I put them into an NZXT H510 case with an EVGA 600W 80 Plus power supply, upgraded RAM, and a corsair H60 AIO Cooler. I will list the full specs below. The problem is, the pc will randomly freeze, black screen, or close to desktop randomly. I predominately play Overwatch on it and very light other games. I've looked at the event logs and I do get a few kernel event errors of: 41, 141, 117. Sometimes I can play for hours, sometimes it crashes halfway through the first match of OW. I have no idea what is wrong, I've done a clean install of Windows 11 and have uninstalled all Asus software except Asus AI suite 3. I only use AI Suite 3 for the cpu fan speed controller. The bios is updated, but awful. I cannot change XMP settings, fan speeds, overclocks, nothing. So I need software to make sure the AIO pump is pumping. Specs: i5-11400F (~27c idle -- ~60c under load) RTX 3050 (~30c idle -- ~50-70c under load) 512GB SSD G.Skill Ripjaw V Series 16Gb DDR4 2400MHz EVGA 600W 80 Plus PSU H60 AIO LG Ultragear 1920x1080 144Hz 27" https://pcpartpicker.com/list/m4kKh3 *Nothing is overclocked/underclocked as far as I know
  2. Hi! I have a problem with Kernel 41 error while playing games like R6 siege or fortnite. I did a stress test and pc wokred fine without rebooting. I checked windows disks i dont know what to do now. Games like Cyberpunk 2077, battlefield 1 NFS unbound I can play hours without rebooting but while playing this games it happens. Thats my rig: Power Suply: MSI MPG A750GF 750W 80+ GOLD ATX Motherboard: MSI MAG B550 TOMAHAWK RAM: G.SKILL TRIDENT 48GB 3200Mhz Procesor: AMD Ryzen 5 5600x Graphic card: NVIDIA RTX 3070TI MSI ventus x3
  3. I’m stuck. I got a second m.2 so I moved over some documents and photos and did a fresh install of Windows 11 on my main drive. System Specs CPU: Ryzen 7 5800X3D w/ Mugen 5 cooler GPU: ASRock 6800XT Taichi Mobo: MSI B550 Tomahawk RAM: 64GB Corsair 3200MHZ PSU: Thermaltake Grandpower RGB 850W Storage: SK Hynix Platinum 2TB main, just added Intel 670P 2TB The GPU was recently replaced from a recent RMA for Radeon driver crashing issues. The rest of the system was purchased in November/December of last year While the install media ran on my USB, I was playing Rainbow 6 Siege and my screens went green for a second and went back to normal a few times. I did the fresh install shortly after and installed all of my drivers and some games, then the same thing happened but more frequently with some artifacts. Sometimes I lose discord voice audio but not the sound affects like muting and deafening. Sometimes the screens turn green and my PC turns off, but not a green error screen just solid green. I added a photo of one of the event logs. Here’s what I have tried: •The fresh install •Re installing display drivers fatter using DDU •Enabling/Disabling Kombo Strike •Command prompt DISM /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth, sfc /scannow, and chkdsk •Changing background and disabling animation •Changing display refresh rates Running games windowed- this seemed to help a little •Windows 10 fresh install after all of this, and the problem persists but not as bad so far I reinstalled Corsair iCUE and while messing with mouse settings the screen flickered once for the first time since this fresh install. I finished messing with settings and uninstalled iCUE to see if that could have been the problem. I switched mice too. I played Deep Rock Galactic and had a quick flicker two times but not bad and no crashes. I have enough extra parts to troubleshoot piece by piece, but I want to see if there are any other solutions or troubleshooting methods to try before tearing it all apart. (R5 1600, Strix X370, 16GB Corsair RAM, Seasonic 750W, Strix 5700XT). pls help
  4. Hello internet people, I came here to see if I could get some help on this recent issue I have with my computer. These last days my PC is turning itself off, no error message no blue screen no nothing, just shuts itself down. Used event viewer to check and turns out its "Kernel-Power 41" I did a lot to try and fix it by myself but nothing changed. So im here to ask what do to before I have to buy something and find out that doesn't fix the problem. PC specs and context: I tried: Updating windows Updating/Checking drivers Updating Nvidia graphics card drivers Disabling any audio driver that could be conflicting Checking for malware Unistalling recent apps Using chkdsk for both my drives Cleaning the whole PC (In case it was overheating) Running tests for the memory, PSU and the graphics card (Using OCCT) ...and I probably tried more things that I don't remember. I have checked a lots of guides about this error and done everything I could except bios update (Not sure how to do it, didn't find any option on the bios and I don't see how the update description is related to my problem) I feel that since my PC is a prebuilt the problem is the power supply, as it is a generic one. At this point in almost certain it is the PSU as running a test for it shutdowns the PC instantly. What should I do? Should I try to update the bios or should I replace the power supply? Thanks in advance for any response, if any info is needed just ask for it
  5. Hello all! This is my first build and all has been going fairly well except when I launch any graphic intense game (Halo Infinite, Minecraft with Shaders), my PC shuts down with a little click (does not restart). More specifically, the PC will shut down anywhere from when I click play (in steam) to the menu screen of the game. Event Viewer shows this as a Kernel-Power 41 which is just an improper shut down of the system. The weird part is I've stress tested the my computer for 12 hours and nothing ever happens, temps remain below 70 degrees and no shut down. Also, creative applications like photoshop and illustrator don't cause this shut down either. I've update every driver I can think of, so it might be a hardware issue, but I just need some guidance. Rig: PSU: Seasonic PX850 (This is brand new) CPU: Ryzen 7 5800X Motherboard: ATX Gigabyte B550 GAMING X CPU cooler: NH-D15S RAM: 16 gb Kingston FURY DDR4 3600 (2 matching 8gb modules) GPU: GTX 1050 (I've been trying to upgrade, but you all know how it is out there) SSD: Samsung 980 Pro Case: Corsair 4000X OS: Windows 10 (Up to date as of 1/31/2022) Thanks for your help!
  6. Hi forum do you guys know what voltage value i shall use on my i7 6700k overclocked to 4.2ghz
  7. Hello my pc restarts but gives black screen when i game for like 5 minutes when i use occt cpu test works fine mem test works to but when i use gpu test my pc crashes it gives kernelpower event in the logs i already switched the psu but doesnt work i have amd ryzen 9 5950x gigabyte 3080 waterforce wb samsung m.2 980 pro 1tb and 500 gb corsair 1000 watt Rmx and my temps dont get higher like 45° It seems like the pc restart but keeps the screen on black 1 time it restarted and it was a normal restart
  8. I upgraded my CPU back on 01/23/21 from an i5-9600k to a i9-9900kf and everything worked fine for 1 month then I started getting random Black Screen crashes with no BSOD. I have tried absolutely everything I can possibly think of in order to fix this issue but it just won't go away!!! Also it is not able to create a memory dump once it crashes either. If anyone has any ideas of what can cause this issue or how to fix it I'd be extremely grateful. 9. Hi everyone, just a few days ago i builded a new rig (First try with AMD), but im having unexpected shutdowns while gaming (no more than 1/2hs after in game). when i go to event viewer i can see the error "Kernel 41" I tried updating all drivers, checked if I have the correct version of everything but keeps shuting down unexpectedly during game s. also changed in powersaving options all to performance and disabled all hybernating as a first try to solve... Additional problems I experienced during this 3 days experience so far: Was unable to install windows (stuck on logo) - SOLVED, ended up updating bios to the latest version. processor was working very hot (Idle 70°C) so underclocked it for a more stable temp (Idle 55°C) All parts are brand new except for the graphics card and hdd drives. System info: Ryzen 5 5600x (stock cooler) - Underclocked to 4.5 / 1.2v (still running a little hot while gaming 70/80°C - im waiting till the AIO arrives) Mother Gigabyte B550M Aorus Pro (1.0) 32GB Ram (8x4) Corsair Vengeance 3200mhz (XMP enabled and running at 3200) Graphics Card ASUS TUF 1660S PSU Gigabyte 750w 80 Plus Gold WD 750N 250gb (boot) (also new) 2x WD blue HDD, 1TB and 2TB mass storage. Right now Im almost out of options how to solve this, I will try to disable XMP and check, but this is new and dont know how to fix it or troubleshoot it...
  10. I've build my first pc a month ago. It posted, it's working, the temps are not bad. I've been using almost arounnd the clock for the past weeks. However, I keep getting the same Kernel Power 41 (63). It is not a blue screen, the computer just shuts down. It sometimes happens when opening or closing a game. Weirdly, never while playing games, I've spent hours playing and it went fine. It also happened a couple of times while using adobe software. Now, I've done my research and tried a bunch of stuff, and while the frequency of the error diminished, it is still happening. Things I've tried: Resetting the Ram Updating the BIOS and drivers Formatting the PC Disabling XMP Disabling Fast Startup Power settings set to high performance (Hard Drive Shut down never) Disabling duplicate audio drivers Aida 64 Stress Test (It all went fine, temps were good and the PC did not shut down) Change one BIOS setting to typical current idle Tested the system ssd with samsung's own software and it was ok Resetting all the power supply cables I know that it might be the power supply being insufficient, but I do not think that's the case. My specs: Ryzen 5600x Cooler Master Hyper 212 Black Edition B550m AORUS PRO DDR4 32GB 3200mhz (2x16) T Force Dark Z Samsung 860 EVO 500GB Seagate Barracuda 1tb 7200rpm RTX 2060 ASUS TUF OC 6GB 650 WATT PSU from Corsair (VS 650 80 PLUS WHITE) 6 fans and the case are from a brazilian brand (Pichau) Any help is welcome. Thanks. Examples of the error: The full error:
  11. I recently built a new gaming PC using all brand-new parts. The PC is only ~10 days old. From the first day, I had issues running Rogue Company through Epic Games Launcher. Starting the game led to my PC restarting, taking me to a black screen, and booting up again. I didn't think much of it as my other two main games, Call of Duty Warzone and Call of Duty Cold War, were running fine. I attributed the crashes to Epic Games' use of Easy Anticheat and its history of being finnicky. Fast forward to yesterday, where I tried to boot up Call of Duty Warzone and my PC restarted on its own on launch. Took me to a black screen, and then started up again. I didn't receive an error code or anything. In event viewer, the critical event is "Kernel Power 41" I launched Call of Duty Cold War and was running it perfectly fine at 1440p. I know Warzone is notorious for being a horribly optimized game on PC, so I decided to test a few other games and see if this problem existed elsewhere. I decided to download Fortnite and see if this issue occurred elsewhere. Sure enough, running Fortnite would cause my PC to restart, without an error code, citing "Kernel-Power 41" as the event. This issue has persisted through several downloads of the latest drivers for the GPU, Motherboard, and Chipset. I ran several CPU and GPU stress tests, updated Windows, checked all of the connections to the PSU, everything. I even tried to set the resolution of my monitor to 1080p and run the games on low setting but still experienced crashes. The Chipset driver allowed me to run Warzone for a little bit. I was able to run fortnite for ~30 minutes after verifying the game files in epic games launcher, but it began crashing yet again. I tried updating to the latest motherboard bios but it freezes when I try to get to the directory where the new bios are downloaded. I've read every post about this, tried everything I've seen online, called in friends with more hardware and software experience than me, and I'm still having those games crash on me. I'm at my wit's end and am turning to the internet for some help. I know this is a lot of information but I really have been at this for two whole days now. What's going on with my PC? Has anyone found a reliable fix? Pls help. 12. Hey all, I recently upgraded my mobo to a Asus Strix B550a and was able to install a Ryzen 5 5600x to match my Zotac Amp Holo 3080, but almost a week in im getting kernel power issues out of nowhere. It first happened in Red Dead Online in the middle of a mission (I dont even have the game jn full screen and its on medium settings), and now 3/4 times I launch Hunt: Showdown, my computer restarts. The strangest thing though, its thay This started happening after I installed a new 1tb ssd, so I'm not really sure whats up. I've already made sure that: -gpu has 2 independent power cables -my power plans are good as they should be -updated gpu, mobo, chipset and other drivers -deleted icue -checked psu connections on mobo -ran hci memtest to check the ram -ran msi afterburner to check if cpu could run at 100 for extended amounts of time my build: mobo: asus rog strix b550a cpu: ryzen 5 5600x gpu: zotac amp holo 3080 memory: gskill ripjaws series V 2400 ddr4 2x8gb psu: seasonic 850w gold 1tb hard drive a 150gb ssd (boot drive), a 500ssd and a 1tb ssd
  13. Like the title says, I consistently get this error with ONLY this game. It happened through out the beta experience, and just now again with my first login playing the campaign. Screen goes completely black, and the only way i can reset the pc is by turning on and off the PSU. This is the only game that has ever caused this issue on my pc. Ive been playing the last few CODs and warzone since it has come out and everything is fine with those games pc specs Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8700K CPU @ 3.70GHz 3.70 GHz Installed RAM 16.0 GB System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor GPU AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT 16gb ram also kept my 1070ti in the pc that is powered PSU NZXT 850w ive seen a lot of posts saying there could be driver issues, is it worth getting driver fix just to fix all drivers? worth the fee at this point also have heard about psu issues and only reason i believe it not to be that is because it only happens on this game most if not all drivers and windows are up to date. im still on windows 10 tho i kind of know what im doing with pc's been in the bigger picture of everything, im a complete noob. ive downloaded snappy driver installer to try and update all the hidden drivers i cant find that i need to update. Any help is greatly appreciated, i just want to game :\

  15. From a couple of weeks my computer started rebooting in the middle of a game or on lockscreen when just booted for no reason. I checked in Event Register and it turned out to be the Kernel-Power error 41, which means that there's a power issue. At first I thought it was a bug caused by the last Win11 update, so I tried to reset Windows 11 using the Media Creation Tool keeping all my files and apps, but it didn't work. So I tried to turn off my CPU overclock and set it to the default voltage and frequences but that didn't work out too. I also tried to reset the BIOS and again, no success. So as I've read online it may be the PSU that's failing, which'll be so annoying and it bothers me to buy a new one until I'm not 100% sure that it is the actual issue. Here's my build and the error log. -- CURRENT BUILD -- Ryzen 5 2600x (currently overclocked again at 4,1 Ghz) RX580 8gb (not overclocked) 16gb RAM (3200Mhz) Corsair VS550 500Gb SATA ssd 1 TB NVME ssd -- Kernel-Power error log -- - System - Provider [ Name] Microsoft-Windows-Kernel-Power [ Guid] {331c3b3a-2005-44c2-ac5e-77220c37d6b4} EventID 41 Version 8 Level 1 Task 63 Opcode 0 Keywords 0x8000400000000002 - TimeCreated [ SystemTime] 2022-06-05T10:06:40.4614697Z EventRecordID 685 Correlation - Execution [ ProcessID] 4 [ ThreadID] 8 Channel System Computer Fisso-Studio - Security [ UserID] S-1-5-18 - EventData BugcheckCode 0 BugcheckParameter1 0x0 BugcheckParameter2 0x0 BugcheckParameter3 0x0 BugcheckParameter4 0x0 SleepInProgress 0 PowerButtonTimestamp 0 BootAppStatus 0 Checkpoint 0 ConnectedStandbyInProgress false SystemSleepTransitionsToOn 0 CsEntryScenarioInstanceId 0 BugcheckInfoFromEFI false CheckpointStatus 0 CsEntryScenarioInstanceIdV2 0 LongPowerButtonPressDetected false

  17. Hello everyone, I have a problem where my gf’s new computer reboots on load. Event viewer tells me that this is a critical error: kernel power 41. CLOSER INFO Her PC SETUP: ASUS ROG STRIX B550-F GAMING GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 3060 Ti VISION OC 8G (rev. 2.0) AMD Ryzen 9 5900X Noctua NH-D15 chromax.black Kingston FURY 32GB KIT DDR4 3600MHz CL18 Beast Black Samsung 870 EVO 500GB (system disk) Samsung 980 1TB EVGA 650 B5 32" Samsung Odyssey G5 BACKSTORY and FIXES I built the computer by myself, when I finished it, I just enabled DOCP for RAMs and enabled something for W11. Then I downloaded W11 on it and everything was fine so far. I downloaded all the drivers, updated windows, set them up. Then we just usually downloaded steam, discord, and couple of games. She headed up into the csgo, in menu everything was just perfect - so far so good. Then she started actually playing and after 2-4 minutes she got black screen and quick restart. SUS huh? Hoped it was just something random after fresh built. But suddently it happened again after 2-4 mins in game. So I started wondering what it could be I I found out that windows recognize only one RAM so I reseated them and thought it was it. Now there was both. But it happened again. I found out that there was kernel power 41 happening. I looked up for the web for common reasons and tried some windows settings to fix. high performence no auto restarts drivers update bios update windows update etc.. getting nervous Didn’t help. Then I tried couple of HW things: Reconnecting cables GPU reseating MB has classic 8 pin + additional 4 pin (optional) so I bought addapter 8 to 8 + 4 and tried that, also didn’t work I thought its PSU problem, so I tried PSU from my PC (modular evga 650W G3) - I changed just a PS, not cables - but it didn’t work so I tried another PSU from my work (600W not sure about certification) which normally runs rtx 3060 and is not modular so I had to reconnect all the cables. Didn’t work. Crying over it Now I tried clear w10 installation, downloaded all the drivers and steam only with csgo. And it crashed again. Now I am desperate and hopeless. MORE ABOUT PROBLEM About CSGO, it happens every time she is in game for about few seconds up to 8 minutes, never lasts longer. Didn’t try other games yet. But actually tried some tests and benchmarks. Windows MEMTEST went good without problem, disks were fine too, GPU benchmark and PSU crashed. ABOUT RESTARTS So everytime this occurs it has 2 scenarios. 1) Black screen and really quick restart without even manufacturer logo. immediately get windows login screen. 2) Quick BSOD (almost even unnoticable) and "normally" fast restart. In both cases after opening event viewer there is Kernel power 41 problem. I have no idea what else to do. At this point I think that its not "software" issue. And its not PSU issue ( in case there is no need to buy 750, but IMO 650 is just fine). So I think it must be MB, CPU, GPU or RAMs. Maybe disks? I dont really know anymore.. For the last 5 days I have been doing nothing but assembling and disassembling the same computer over and over, testing, and failing. This is my second computer I'm building, the first I built for myself about 5 years ago with a 1060 and successfully. And its also my first experience with rtx, not sure if I missed maybe some important settings in the bios, something important in windows, nvidia.. that's why I try to be so detailed in the text. Thnaks for any help.

  20. Hello everyone! Recently I have ran into an issue where my computer randomly crashes after playing games such as COD MW, and I am not sure as to why. At first, I thought it was an overheating issue but my temps are fine. I checked my event log and it said critical Kernel Power, I am not entirely sure what this means, and I am kind of worried. I have attached an image of the event log. If I can't fix this I will replace the GPU the system is unusable almost as every time I acces the internet the system goes into bsod and restarts no matter what I do I deleted driver I did a memory fix I installed latest drivers in safe mode and so on is it just bad luck ?
  22. Each time I am running a game at 4k for about 20-30 minutes at full gpu utilization, it will crash and I will bsod. Not always, as sometimes it will crash to the desktop but recently it has been crashing my pc and displays the bsod. Games that it has crashed on (PUBG, The Witcher 3, and Valley each at 4k) My rig: Windows 10 PRo Ryzen 1700 (stock frequencies) 16gb 2666 LPX Vengeance (running at 2666) EVGA GTX 1080ti FTW3 (running the aggressive bios, stays at 70-75C under full load)/ was running gtx 1060 6gb a month ago and experienced crashing during 2k gaming(no bsod). EVGA 650W GQ (has a slight buzz, not sure if I should be concerned) Gigabyte AB350 Gaming 3 motherboard (uses Realtek audio drivers) Kernel-power 41 (task category 63) BugcheckCode 59 BugcheckParameter1: 0xc0000005 BugcheckParameter2 :0xfffff8027ce63ae3 BugcheckParameter3 :0xffff9281b517de20 BugcheckParameter4: 0x0 This has happened 16 times in total, each time while playing a demanding game at 4k. I have run a memory check, did a disk check and repair, did a full ddu of my gpu drivers, I have reinstalled all other drivers except motherboard drivers/bios. I am unsure whether this problem is psu, or gpu related as I have not had a bsod with my previous graphics card, I recently upgraded and it started happening. I could really use some experienced advice. I do not know what is causing this as all temps are well withing reason. The only thing I can think of was my psu was not strong enough, but my build does not pull that much power and have not had a problem while benchmarking with the cpu and gpu overclocked. It only happens when I am gaming at 4k for 20-30 minutes then it promptly crashes or bsod's. Thanks in advance. (I have really looked into this problem with no success in fixing the issue)

  24. Hey all! My system is shutting down. I am getting a kernel 41 error code. The system just down. Completely off. This is starting off when I put in a new PSU. I had to rma my ax1200i due to coil wine. It will be back in a few weeks. While it is at the shop I wanted to game so I went out and bought a evga 850 gold and I started getting the shutdowns. I know 850 has plenty of power for my system: i7-8700k ( overlcocked too 5.0) kraken x52 cooler 4 ram sticks 32 gig total xmp: 3000 1080 to ftw 3 mother board: ASUS stirz z370 e. original psu: ax1200i once the problem started happening I removed all my overlcoks. I thought is was the psu so I returned the evga and got a Corsair 850. Same problem. Befor the crash rash occurs all my temps are fine. The crash occurs while the graphics card goes under major load. I was able to use my computer for photoshop for hours with no crash. any idea why this is happening??? thanks
  25. As you ca read in the title this is the problem. If i check my Events i see some Kernel-power 41 event and some Nvidia Display 4101. This happened after i update my Windows 7 Home edition 64 bit. What can i do?
