So preface, none of this is an issue in the bnet version. So here are some of the rather perplexing issues. 1. Framerate drops/ stutters, seems almost like a vsync issue, but vsync is off , nvidia feflex+boost is on. changing fsr did nothing. 2. endorsements are messed up, enemy team is mixed up with your team in the endorsement screen... but... it gets worse, any game is shown as "abandoned" even though i never did so, what that probably means is endorsements cannot work because you don't get any for "abandoned" games... Also what does this mean for ranked? can you even play ranked and get your wins counted or also "abandoned"?? Has anyone with this issue tried? So does anyone know about this issue, has experienced them themselves? Or if Blizzard is even aware and plans to fix this??

Hey there people, I'm trying to promote my music on the internet. Through DistroKid I have managed to put my music on all the big services out there (spotify, itunes, amazon, google play, etc.). Now the thing is I need to let people know about my music. Does anyone know of a good (forum-like) environment to do so? I know posting youtube links is forbidden here, so I won't bother trying. But if anyone is interested, I'd be more than willing to share with you ofcourse! Thanks in advance!!!

I am starting my own 1 person indie game studio. Of course, I need to choose a name. It's really hard. The only person in the studio is me, and I would like the title to be original, and a little funny/tongue and cheek. I came up with: Smashed Potato Studios What do you think? Any opinion is really appreciated, as I want people to like the name. If you dislike it, please say so. Feel free to make suggestions for other names too/suggestions on how to come up with a different name. If you have a business it would be nice if you told me it's name and how you came up with it! All comments appreciated, as this is a big decision for me, and I want to feel confident that the decision I make will be a good one! Thanks! King_of_Oz CEO of XXXXXXXXXXX

I'm having trouble deciding how to spend the last of my Steam funds during the Winter Sale. I'm interested in some indie games that I know are really good, but since I haven't played them, I don't know which of these games I should pick up (I can't buy all of them). So, I'm hungry for anonymous opinions. Which game(s) would you choose?

So as the title say, I want a good horror game or mod. And I want the best suggestion you can come up with. But before you do I should mention the game I already played: -Outlast + DLC - Amnesia the dark decent and a machine for pigs -Layers of Fear - Afraid of monsters (I want something similar to this mod) -Cry of Fear -[EDIT] Dead Space These are the games I remember playing since I may have missed some. Most important I don't want a zombie game since they tend to be less scary. And DON'T SUGGEST FNAF If u suggest a mod I prefer a conversion mod, for example to avoid mods with original half life monsters. I ran out of ideas and my search had no gains so all I can is ask on a forum. in other words: plz sker mi alot

I'm not sure if this is the right place for this... But it is a PC game so... Here is is! Amalgam Board Game Simplexity Game Studio (Read below for screenshots) Our goal is to achieve complexity through simplicity…ironic right? We think many video games, and even board games, tend to make things so complicated in order to make things more interesting and keep players from moving on to a new game. At Simplexity Game Studio, we believe that we can create a fun and lasting game with a simple yet refined set of rules and gameplay. We believe that the greatness of a game isn’t determined by the amount of things involved in the game, but the quality and thought put into what IS in the game. With Amalgam, we tried to create a simple design, with as small a learning curve as possible, and in return giving the players endless strategies and letting their mind and creativity do the rest of the work. We like to (although a bit of a bold statement) think of Amalgam as the ‘Modern Chess’. Of course, we will be ecstatic if Amalgam becomes one tenth as popular as chess, but we are using Chess’ “complexity through simplicity” as our role model.Want to see screenshots and more info?Follow our twitter! https://twitter.com/GameAmalgamLike our Facebook! https://www.facebook.com/AmalgamBoardGame/Visit our website! http://www.amalgamboardgame.com/Gameplay 100% SkillNo luck involved here. No matter what the outcome, win or lose, it’s a reflection of your performance. We want this to be a competitive game that focuses on you and your game-play choices.Unique and OriginalWe like to think that our game is different than any other game out there. Our goal is not to simply pull from other game ideas, but to create something original and progressive.Interactive PiecesAlthough this is a board game, each piece should feel alive and interactive. We hope to bring the game to life instead of having a traditional (static) board game feel. Compelling StoryA storyline isn’t one of our main goals for Amalgam, but we still plan on incorporating an intriguing and compelling story into the game. By creating a story we hope to bring more life into our characters, and in turn make for a more exciting experience. Thanks for checking us out! Ask us questions and follow us for updates. We plan to start a Kickstarter then launch on Steam! Thank you! If this is the wrong place for this please tell me and I will remove it right away!

Hello! We are developing a game with a cool idea! We want to create the first computer repair simulator. We would love to have some feedback or some ideas or both! The game is in a really early stage and we have so many ideas but we are not sure what the people would like to see from such a game. We also hope that i can be used as a learning tool. Somewhere around September to November we will release a playable scenario for testing . Why don't you check it out here : http://computer-repair-simulator.com/

Hi guys, im a high schooler and i am in a coding club. we are 4-5 months away from our school festival and our club leader is planning to make a game to show then. he said he wanted to use tsukuru(i dont exactly much about this program), but i think we should make a unity or at least a flash game to look cool and show off as a true professional developing club. however, i dont know anything about unity development or flash and we have not much time. so i am asking you guys for help. is there any decent (doesnt have to be sooo fancy or professional) game developing program that is reasonably easy to learn in a short time? tl;dr easy decent quality game developing program please oh and our club members can do some to decent c coding too.

Hey there, My name is Luuk, and I am an indie game developer. I recently bought/made a new PC, and I'm very happy with it. But just out of curiosity, what's the average GPU other (indie) game developers use. I'm on the programming side of game development, and I mostly program 3D games, using engines like Unity3D, Unreal, and other engines. Great regards, Luuk

Firewatch is an indie game, official release date February 9th, but reviews for it are already up. It is about 5-6 hours long(but can be longer if you spend more time exploring) and it goes for around 20 dollars/euros on Steam. It has an open world, not too big, but mostly it's a story driven narrative game. You can't die or lose as far as I know, there aren't any enemy NPCs to fight, etc. It's all about that narrative experience. I've been looking at this game for a while now and it's my first(in release chronological order) anticipated game of 2016. I don't know if I will get it though, it's pretty short and every review keeps mentioning that the ending is pretty dissapointing/anticlimactic What do you guys think of the game? Do you like these type of games?

source: http://xboxforums.create.msdn.com/forums/t/113343.aspx --- remember those parity clauses that "forced" the development teams to release the game simultaneously on all platforms? my guess is that's what killed it - SONY didn't had such a clause and gave indie developer much more freedom in their planing and development schedule

Ever since UE4 went free to use (you have to pay royalties though) I have been interested in using it to make a game. Before I was interested in the free version of Unity, how ever the free version of Unity lags far behind Unreal in it's feature set. Although there are plenty of tutorials online for free, it seems most of the ones that are good and actually help me advance my understanding of UE4 cost money to view. TLDR: Are there any comprehensive and helpful Unreal Engine 4 tutorials to help people learn to make games in it? An FPS game to be specific, but anything that helps me learn my way around UE4 is good enough.

Dead Effect.... a really surprising game, ok it is not for everyone, it is kinda slow paced and it requires you to aim accurately. Coming from Counter Strike to this? it's bloody brilliant The graphics are nice for an indie title, plus the music is very good. It is also challenging, so do not think you can go in and drop a 1 bomb on all the enemies... hell no! Grab this on the Steam sale whilst you can... worth everything and more!

I'm a 17yr old developer currently working on a mind-bending first person puzzler called Spectrum. You navigate impossible spaces by switching colors and flipping gravity. Development is in early stages, but I'd love to hear what PC gamers think of the current aesthetic of the game! Here they are: http://imgur.com/a/dznkt If you'd like to follow development, follow me: https://twitter.com/RealEntropy Thanks everyone! Dan

Okay hello! I would like to talk about the game in progress "No Man's Sky" I recently found out more about it. I had found the game a while back (3-4 months ago) And i found it very "Beautiful" I mean look at it! (In game screenshot) I find it Very interesting how it is multiplayer but the game studio that is currently making it says you will have almost a 100% chance of not finding the friend you are looking to play with. Reason? You may ask the reason is that the "Galaxy" you are placed in has an almost infinite randomly generating Galaxy! The game is mainly supposed to be a exploration game but if you wish you can kill other players (If you can find players). And the one Feature of the game that i look forward to is that you can fly in space and fly to planets. (No loading) It is supposedly to be coming out for Pc,Ps4 and maybe xbox one. But enough of me talking what do you think about this game? The game is for console and Pc so i put this post in General Discussion. -KRImSIN

So I've been drifting the internet...as you do early in the morning and i noticed that some indie survival games managed to slip under my nose for example "salt" and "our of reach" are two games i have never heard of. And yet they look promising. so i was wondering if any of the awesome community member's at LTT had and Survival indie games they are looking forward to in 2015?

Anyone else playing this game? I picked it up DRM-free at GOG recently on a whim since it seemed like a good laptop (i.e. fun gameplay, not twitch based, low requirements) game for flights. Game has me hooked. Took me out of DA:I for a few days while I got into living as victim of war. I definitely recommend it if you enjoy games like FTL of Project Zomboid...games where the focus is on the logistics and planning rather than combat.

Let it be noted, I am a Huge fan of Minecraft, probably, the game i have wasted the most time on, ever. After watching the archive of the Live stream for October 17th 2014, Paul brought up about Notch for an Indie Developer and that companies still need money. I decided to check http://www.minecraft.net and saw that 17 Million people have bought Mnecraft on the PC and Mac alone, not even counting for the console versions. http://i.imgur.com/LwwtBQq.png I am just astounded at that number. Minecraft came out on November 18th 2011 (Officially, the first Minecon) but was publicly released on Windows, Mac and Linux on May 17th 2009. Lets work out how much Mojang has made just from PC sales (Not taking a hit at Mojang, I'm just curious) But I think, Well done to them, starting as a hobbie and an independent developer. Call it as 17 million sales for ease of use. 17,000,000 x £17.95 = £305,150,000.00 USD = $491,108,410.00 CAD = $553,872,064.80 HKD = $3,809,751,390.70 Over 5 years and more than £1.5 Billion has been made, One of, if not, THE MOST successful indie game ever made. Well done to Mojang. Bare in mind, this is not including wages, taxes, or the recent acquisition from Microsoft, so the total could be more or less. Again, well done and well earned. I look forward into wasting, err, I mean playing more hours in this ultimate sandbox game. I should also mention, the Minecraft Site has been crashed, lol.

Hello everyone! So I've been thinking a lot about an efficient, inexpensive build solely to play indie games on. Namely Binding of Isaac, as it is my favorite game at the time being. I considered building an arcade style rig, similar to what you might find at a Scandia while playing Galaga or Pac-Man. The idea here is not to be able to play high/mid tier graphics demanding games. No Team Fortress 2, Minecraft, COD, Mass Effect, GTA, any of that. This build is simply to play indie games on, essentially minimal computing power. My only concern with the arcade style build is not being able to set the resolution low enough to accommodate the arcade's pixel density. Of course this could be easily modified with a larger monitor inside the arcade machine, given it was the correct size and weight. Of course we could do this the easier way, which is also an option. What if I instead created a very small desktop like build. Perhaps closer to a Raspberry Pi in the long run. Just a small, portable, indie game box. Capable of playing all of our favorites. Super Meat Boy, Isaac, Braid, Fez, etc. Does anyone have any ideas on parts or how well this would work? There are no wrong ideas! Spit out anything you got. Thanks in advance!

Fez was one of my favorite games of all time, and when I heard that Phil decided to cancel the sequel I was disappointed. From what I had heard, Phil had been receiving an immense amount of hate mail and had even been hacked, so he decided that the gaming community wasn't a community worth being apart of, and sold the rights to Fez. While this sounded plausible to me, many people claim Phil Fish was an Indie game developer gone bad. What was the story of Phil Fish? Is he a victim, or the indie developer equivalent of Anakin Skywalker?
