I recently brought an GTX 1060 Asus Turbo 3GB, and I swapped my old GT 430 with this GTX 1060. I connected everything correctly and I pressed the power button, PC starts, beep 1 time after 5-10 seconds and the "no signal" from the monitor disappears and it remains black and the BIOS doesn't shows. My motherboard is Acer Veriton M4610G with the latest BIOS which is P01.B0 from 2012/10/15. With my old GT 430 and with the integrated graphics it boots fine. Can the GTX 1060 be faulty? Or it's an incompatibility with my motherboard? I tested the GTX 1060 on my friend PC and the same thing happened (he has an even older motherboard with 775 socket).

Hey guys, I am a PC builder from Czech Republic, and today I've came across an interesting problem. I had built a customers PC (i5 12400f, ASUS B660M-A PRO D4), but the GPU is still in shipping. I've decided to just pop RX 570 4GB in (since i have like 10 of them laying here in stock), to preinstall OS etc.. But I got no post with beep code, pointing to GPU failure. Interesting. I've tried this GPU in another setup on B250 board, and everything worked fine. Than I had tested the GPU in completely different system, based on i9-12900k and ASUS TUF Z690 Plus. The same result - beep code, pointing to GPU, and dead screen. This did make me a bit uncomfortable, so I tested all of the other RX 570s that I had in stock, and every single one of them had displayed the same behaviour. They just won't post in Intel 12th gen setups. But in older PCs, they work just fine. And no - they do not have mining bioses in them, I reflashed them with stock bioses, and they are perfectly good and tested cards in older systems. Is this behaviour something, that you are experiencing too? Do you have any suggestions on what to try, to make the 12th gen work with RX 570s? I am going to build another system with i3 12100F, H610, and RX 570 GPU for another client soon - so I am a bit affraid, that this behaviour will repeat, and I'm not sure, how to go about it. Both of the intel 12th gen systems mentioned above, work perfectly fine with RTX 30** cards Tested multiple of them (3080ti and 3060ti) Thanks for your time and advices guys

Hi all, I have this dinosaur relic of a 32 gig iPad 1 lying around, and am trying to avoid resigning it to paperweight duty. Problem is, basically all apps worth their salt don't support iOS 5 any more, and many websites don't load properly in the native version of Safari or in ye olde version of the Google Search app I have on the device. Are there ways for me to try to either update the device past iOS 5, or do you know of any browser I could use that will load more websites properly.

Hello all. I have decided to purchase an Arctic Cooling Liquid Freezer II 360 AIO (rev. 3), as I've heard wonderful things about this AIO liquid cooler. I was hoping to cool my AMD Ryzen 9 5900X CPU with it, installed in an Asus ROG Strix X570-E Gaming motherboard. I proceeded following the official installation instructions for motherboards featuring the AMD (AM4) socket. I used the correct AMD standoffs (as seen in my video) and proceeded screwing in the mounting clips, with the four provided screws. After that I noticed my motherboard backplate had LOTS of vertical play - it seemed VERY loose (check the video, link bellow), after which I noticed this compatability warning depicted in the image bellow: It would appear that my Asus ROG Strix X570-E Gaming motherboards backplate is incompatible with the official Arctic AM4 installation procedure. I have made a YouTube video showcasing the issue: On their support page it says: "If your motherboard is equipped with such non-compatible backplate, please contact us here to get a compatible one free of charge", so I'm thinking about doing that. Has anyone else had this issue? I would deeply appreciate if any of you could provide me with further info/experiences, etc. Thank you all for your time!

Hello everyone, I'm new to servers and I'm having issues getting my server to run: - i5-6500 - 16gb DDR4 RAM - Asus Z170 Pro-Gaming motherboard - Samsung 850 EVO SSD - Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise The issue here is that I cannot install anything on the system. The motherboard CD doesn't support the OS and I cannot find any support for Windows Server 2008 online. I've tried downloading the Intel driver for the board from Intel but it still doesn't work. I tried adding a wireless card and installing that driver but it still doesn't work. Is it because Windows Server 2008 is out of date and I shouldn't be using it anymore because there are no more support? Or do I need to get an actual server motherboard? I was able to install Windows Server 2008 because I got the DVD from Microsoft and I have the CD-key that I just need to verify by connecting to the internet. But since I literally cannot install anything on this server I'm stuck. I don't even know the problem to be able to solve it. Any help would be great and let me know if you need any other information. Thank you!

ram RAM works sometimes and does not work sometimes.
Chandradhar Koneti posted a topic in Troubleshooting
Greetings, fellow earthlings!!! I'm facing a pretty peculiar problem(probably not all that rare). quick overview: PC works fine for a few months, then stops booting. Taking 2 RAM sticks out solves the problem. PC boots. for more details, read the paragraph below. My PC was working fine for a few weeks, then one day, as i was browsing on firefox, my system freezes, i reboot and resume reading the same page. system freezes again and now it won't boot(no display but all the graphics card lights and fans and their lights turn on). The numlock lights won't turn on either. the PC acts like it's booting, takes about 8 to 20 seconds and restarts (only once) and then stays like that(fans on, lights on, no booting). it does not restart multiple times either. I have to manually shut it down by holding the power key for 8 seconds and then restart it for the same drama(it restarts only once and then stays stuck with all lights on). If i take out two of the four RAM sticks, it works. (mobo supports total of 8. i read the user manual and installed the RAM accordingly in the grey slots first). Specifications: Intel 6800K at stock speeds and voltages Nvidia GTX 1070 (ZOTAC AMP Extreme) Gigabyte G1 Gaming 5P motherboard CORSAIR VENGEANCE LPX 32GB (8x4) DDR4 2400MHZ RAM with timing 16-16-16-39 1.20V (running stock, no OC) [The RAMs are 2 packs of 2 sticks each for a total of 4 sticks. I checked the timings on the RAM before buying them. Both the packs of RAMs are 16-16-16-39 speed. The serial numbers indicate that the sticks were just 47 sticks apart.] [the RAMs I have are not on the qualified list of vendors on the gigabyte's site. However, the list has CORSAIR RAMs as well as 16-16-16-39 @ 2400MHz RAMs listed (although not both together ie: not CORSAIR 16-16-16-39 none of the approved CORSAIR RAMs are 16-16-16-39)] 500GB 850EVO SSD by Samsung. Kindly advice how to proceed. The aspect that puzzles me is that they worked fine together for almost 2 months(all 4 rams in the grey slots) doing some pretty intensive stuff. Video renderings, FEA simulations, ultra large files photoshop and the likes. can i change anything in the BIOS to make my MOBO stop fussing and accept the RAMs??- 4 replies

I few months ago I built a PC with a Z390-A Pro motherboard and Corsair 3000MHz DDR4 Memory (CMK16GX4M2D3000C16). Since then I've been only getting ~2132MHz and couldn't figure out why. I found out today that this exact model is not compatible with my motherboard and that I need the slightly more expensive model (CMK16GX4M2B3000C15) instead. Here is the list of compatible RAM models: https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/support/Z390-A-PRO#support-mem-3 Is there no way I can get the 3000MHz out of my current model? Why do these two models both come up when you search for "Corsair 3000MHz DDR4" on Amazon/Aria PC and why does only one work with my motherboard? ? Thanks for any help on this.

Hello! So, I'm helping a friend build to build his computer and I gave him a list of specs that could be great for him. But because he can't afford to buy them all at once, he is saving for each part and buys them seperatly, as soon as he has the money for one. This week he bought the the graphics card, a Gigabyte GTX 960 Windforce OC. He installed it but it seems to be a problem with the resolution, even after installing the appropiate drivers. The image looks scaled and kind of blurry, and the card doesn't recognize the display's native resultion properly. The drivers detect it like it's 1920x1080 but it definitely isn't. When he was playing with a VGA connection (yes, VGA in 2016) its native resolution was recognized at 1440x900 (with a GT 730), but when he changed the card and the connection (he has upgraded the connection to HDMI) these problems appeared. Another problem he has is the framerate. He tried to play CS:GO and his framerate was the same (30-40 fps) with low and maximum settings and different resolution. I tried to reinstall the drivers, check if something was not connected properly but I couldn't find any apparent problems. Personally, i think it's an incompatibility with the motherboard or something, but i'm not sure. I'll list the specs down below and I hope you guys can help me! Thank you very much! Motherboard: ASRock G41C-GS RAM: 4GB of DDR2 RAM CPU: Inter Core 2 6600 @ 2.4 GHz GPU: Gigabyte GTX 960 Windforce OC (before GT 730)

Hello People, I'm new on this forum and I need help. I have built my own computer, I started with an HP Pavillion p6-2160ef (specs: http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docId=c03262533) and my first upgrade was a new GPU. I went for the AMD Sapphire Radeon HD 7790 - 1 GB. That went pretty well. After a while I was sick of the small Pavilion case so I bought a new Zalman MS800Plus case and put everything in it. That went well. I upgraded also my RAMs from 6 GB to 8 GB (Crucial CL9 Ballistix Sport RAM DDR3 8 GB (2 x 4 GB) PC3-12800 800 MHz) because these were the only good ones for my Cupertino 2 Mobo. Now, a few weeks ago I bought (because it was on sale) the new MSI GTX 960 Gaming 4G and I was really happy. It took me a while to install this bi*** but i got it done and I turned on my computer... nothing... just the bios screen and weird bios noises. After really long research I found a video on youtube explaining that some GPUs aren't compatible with the Cupertino 2 mobo: I got it to work and now everytime I wanna boot I need to boot into NetworkBoot and wait for 2mins. This is just one of the problems because it feels to me like I can't get everything out of the new GPU, I'm still ending up with 25 fps on Witcher 3 (Ultra) and 30 average on GTA V (Ultra but no MSAA) What did go wrong, what should I do? Please help! Thank you -khilium

Hello! I'm new in the forum and I'm building my first pc. For my CPU I have chosen a 4790k with 16gb ddr3 RAM (Gskill sniper 2400mhz, 1,65v) I've thrown all the parts into pcpartpicker and it flagged an incompatibility with my processor: The G.Skill Sniper Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-2400 Memory operating voltage of 1.65V exceeds the Intel Haswell Refresh CPU recommended maximum of 1.5V+5% (1.575V). This memory module may run at a reduced clock rate to meet the 1.5V voltage recommendation, or may require running at a voltage greater than the Intel recommended maximum. Is this really a issue? I researched and some people say de cpu can handle it, others say I have to reduce the voltage manually on the BIOS. (I'd also like some recomendations, especially regarding PSU and CPU cooler - don't know if I'm picking the best bang for the buck) Here is the link to the build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/vRTYFT Thank you for the help!

Recently after my motherboard died in my pc (and after a heck of a good run) I bought said motherboard in title. I have existing Corsair Vengeance Pro (more specifically - CMY8GX3M2A1600C9B) which just so happens to be not compatible with my motherboard. When booting with this memory installed I get the post code C0 and if I connect a speaker its a continuous short beeping sound, until the computer gets put into a boot loop. I know this memory isn't listed as 'compatible' but what makes it so different from other memory that it isn't compatible? At the end of the day its still a stock standard 2x4GB kit of DDR3 memory @ 1600MHz after all. So is there ANY way to get it to work? I really don't want to have go exchanging motherboards or buying new ram - especially now considering the release of skylake is close some things are hard to get a hold of now. And as much as I would love to wait, I need my pc for production use (and games of course) and now way will my mac laptop be able to amount to that Thanks in advance!

I am still a little lost in the terminology when I read this on pc part picker: "G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-2133 Memory operating voltage of 1.6V exceeds the Intel Haswell CPU recommended maximum of 1.5V+5% (1.575V). This memory module may run at a reduced clock rate to meet the 1.5V voltage recommendation, or may require running at a voltage greater than the Intel recommended maximum." The question isn't, "do I need 2133?", "but what are the chances it will damage the memory controller?" Or maybe I can find some 2133 memory that runs at 1.5v?

Hi everyone, I'm new here and in need of advice. So my ram (F4-3200C16D-16GTZB a dual channel 2x8GB Kit) doesn't like to post on default XMP profile (3200Mhz CL 16-18-18-38 1.35v) on my Asus Rampage V edition 10 with Intel core i7 6850k at 3.6Ghz. I did however manage to post with a 3000Mhz manual overclock with the default timings. I am going to test the sticks individually tomorrow to see if one can post on 3200Mhz or not. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks in advance. p.s. If you need any pictures just say the word.
