Hi I've got a 980 ti and I've been wanting to upgrade for a while and I've just seen on Amazon a xfx Rx 6600, I don't know much about AMD cards I've been more team Nvidia to be honest, but it's a good price and I've seen it get 50% better FPS in games compared to the 980 ti what do you think ? Btw it's 580€ ( I live in France ) I can probably sell my 980 ti for around 300€ https://www.amazon.fr/XFX-Speedster-Radeon-Graphique-RX-66XL8LFDQ/dp/B09HHLX543/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?crid=23Z8HUD40GNPJ&keywords=rx+6600&qid=1642788956&sprefix=rx+6600%2Caps%2C241&sr=8-2

Keep in mind these are Australian prices and my budget is $450 au I have found a gtx 980ti for $240 that would be a good option if I could find a cpu to Match for only $210 my other option is a Rx 570 for $80 and I could find a cpu to match but I wouldn’t be getting the full value of my money if you know any other good options then please do!

Note: Completely aware this card isn't actually supported for AE "an error occurred when processing opengl commands" Only renders about 1 minute and 20 seconds then begins this message, Optical Flares by Boris Continuum and some Lightning effects are added to this project Specs are in my profile if you need them which I doubt you will, sounds like a Preferences issue i'm not understanding or something else. Edit: Accidentally put Premiere Pro in the title mean't After Effects originally, Premiere works just fine, should also mention this video is also taking around 3-5 hours each render attempt

Hi, I'm planning on building a system for my htc vive that i'll be getting. The specs are a Ryzen 5 1500x, gtx 980ti, a decent am4 motherboard, a hyper 212 evo, 16gb of ddr4 2133 (probably fury x) and a 600-750 watt psu. I can get the gpu and hopefully the cpu used and the total cost should be around 950 cad. Is that a decent price and is this enough power for most vr games? And will there be a bottleneck of some sort! -Thanks in advance.

Hey guys, As the title already says I would like to know which one of these cards would you rather buy? I could get the GTX 980Ti for the same price as the GTX 1070 STRIX OC. Thanks in advance!

Hey all, I am currently looking to upgrade my gpu to something in the midrange. I know my CPU (phenom ii x6 1045t) will bottleneck, but I am planning on upgrading it down the road into an ITX build. I need a GPU that can push 4k, but can run games at 1440p windowed within a 4k monitor(i like to play windowed). Needs to be future proof, and good for the value (like 980ti's cost 50% more than 980's). So, is getting a 980ti/1070 worth the extra $100-200 dollars? Edit: bought an used 980ti

So it seems that the hybrid watercooling kit for the 980ti has been wiped off the face of the internet. I can't seem to find one ANYWHERE. All I see are coolers for the 1070 and 1080. I have the Reference EVGA GTX 980ti. Does anyone know if the hybrid kits for the 1070 and 1080 would work on my card or am I out of luck at this point? Gaming temps on the gpu range from 84c to around 93c. Any help would be nice at this point. The only model number I have stumbled across so far is Model #400-HY-0996-B1, but when searching for this on any vendor site, I find nothing but 1070 and 1080 coolers. I am trying my best to avoid upgrading as I've only had it for a year and it works just fine (When it's not hotter than hell itself). Greetings people ? Matias is here to gift you with a PC modding build log! The plan is to make an "elite version" of nzxt's h440, inspired by their elite version of the s340. I'm either going to make full size tempered Glass or acrylic window in the side, remove the HDD area and extend the PSU chamber. Since I can't start modding today, here are some pictures of my PC as it is now (before the mod). Specs: (Soon to be modded) NZXT h440 I7 6700K MSI GTX 980 ti ASUS STRIX z270e gaming Be Quiet! Dark Rock 3 16 GB G.skill Trident Z RGB 128 GB generic Samsung SSD 1 TB Seagate hybrid laptop SSHD Be Quiet Pure Power L8 530w (Fun fact: that's the first and best powersupply I've ever bought! Every single other I've had has been worse in some way)

Can you game on an 8-year-old i7? Many of us associate the name Core i7 with high-end gaming rigs capable of pushing high framerates on very intensive graphics settings. We often forget that the Core i7 name is 8 years old and has been through 6 generations since its inception in 2008. Is it still true that any desktop with an i7 and a decent graphics card is able to output 60fps? To find out I have benchmarked one of the early 8-year-old i7, a Bloomfield i7 920, together with a modern high-end graphics card. Do you like epic b-roll of classic i7 and powerful graphics cards? Watch the video I made for this post here: The 8-year-old i7 The i7 920 is a quad-core beast that features hyper threading, triple channel DDR3, 8BM of L3 cache and a 2,66GHz base clock that can boost up to 2,93GHz. Not bad for a 2008 CPU that can be bought used for the same price as a new Celeron. The i7 920 is based on the 45nm Nehalem architecture, which was groundbreaking at its time (learn more here). I have benchmarked the CPU with my Gigabyte NVidia GeForce GTX 980Ti G1 Gaming. I have run tests with the CPU at stock clock speeds and overclocked. Overclocking The i7 920 is great for overclocking. I easily overclocked my i7 to 4,2GHz (that’s a 57,5% overclock!). Unlike modern unlocked k-series chips, the Nehalem i7 overclocks using the base clock. This means that your overclock not only depends on your CPU, but also your motherboard. I ended up with a 200MHz base clock on my ASUS P6T Deluxe V2 and an x21 multiplier to get my 4,2GHz overclock. One thing to keep in mind when overclocking these old chips is that they can get very hot. My i7 quickly reaches 80 to 90c when under full load, even with the massive Cooler Master V8 heasink I have for cooling. @LinusTech has a pixelated guide for Nehalem overclocking on the NCIX Tech Tips channel here. Testbench Specs - Intel Core i7 920 - ASUS P6T Deluxe V2 (X58) - 16GB (4x4Gb) DDR3 1600MHz CL9 - Gigabyte GeForce GTX 980Ti G1 Gaming (1455MHz max boost) - Kingston UV400 240GB (OS) - Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 750GB (Games) - Cooler Master B600 (600W) Benchmarks: As you can see in the benchmarks, the 8-year-old i7 delivers respectable performance at stock speeds, but the 980Ti really gets to shine when the CPU is overclocked. This clearly demonstrates the potential of these cheap CPUs, especially when overclocked. Should you get one of these old i7 for a budget gaming rig? These old Nehalem i7s deliver great price to performance, but only if you can get a good deal on a decent X58 motherboard. Old X58 boards are hard to find for a good price, but if you can get a good deal on a motherboard, classic i7s and Xeons like the i7 920 are defiantly worth considering.

I was looking around craigslist and found someone selling a evga gtx 980ti blower style card for $350. Im considering of buying it but im not sure if a 980ti is worth $350. Also i would like to add that the card is new and they had only put it in their system to make sure the card still worked. I wanna know if i should haggle them down a bit and wanna see what other have bought 980ti for. Thanks in advance.

Hey guys, i was wondering wether a gtx 980 ti for 300 dollars would be a better purchase than a gtx 1070ti for 400 dollars

So my graphics card (gtx 980ti) has been working well for a week, but after removing all the cables from my PSU to turn the PSU the right way round (I had it upside down, im an idiot), when I power on my system it just shows the message 'please power down and connect the pcie power cables for this graphics card' And yes I have checked all the connections.

Hi guys, I came across this problem in Wolfeinstein 2 the new colossus. My GPU, which is basically at the same level as a gtx 1070 underperforms terribly. I am getting like 50fps on ultra with dips into the 30fps range. And, my Vram is pinned at 6,1GB. I tried every driver since the game came out (using DDU of course and using a clean install tech yes city style). Nothing helped, what should I do?

I usually use Davinci Resolve/Vegas for video editing, but I got my school's CC account and I am using a format of video that is not supported in Davinci. I have a 3570K so rendering at ~30min 1080p video on only CPU is just not fun. I am having so much issues just to get the program to render using my GPU. On the website they do not have the GTX 980Ti listed under the recommended system requirements tab. It only goes up to the GTX 700 series. But I would think for such popular software they would support the GPU generation that was out when the software came out. Things I have already tried: - Nvidia control panel turning on Manual CUDA acceleration. - This: It is set to on. Also, because I have never really used this program. File>Export>Media is another way of saying "Render" right? I have not done a test render because I cannot waste ~1hr doing nothing.

So I've been trying to overclock my Gigabyte GTX 980ti G1 Gaming Card that I bought a year ago. I've seen people get crazy good results with this card, so my hopes were quite high when starting out. Using Afterburner, I started tweaking the core clock with Heaven running in windowed mode. When I got to about +110MHz (1476MHz), the Nvidia display driver started crashing and recovering every now and then. After having increased the power limit to 130%, I then tried raising the voltage, but even when maxed out at +87mV (1.218V) I still couldn't break through the wall of crashes. My Question is: Is this a software (driver) related problem or did I just not get as good a card as the more successful overclockers (I have heard that there can be some variance with the circuitry and whatnot). The curious thing for me was that I didn't even get to the point where there were visible artifacts on screen (I've done so before with other cards), instead the screen just goes to black as the driver recovers. I also made sure I had the latest driver and performed a clean install, just in case. Also, GPU temperature never exceeded 73°C, so that can't be the issue. Anyone else get this problem?

Just thought I'd share this with you lot considering he doesn't seem to understand the hilarity behind it, but my friend just fitted his first upgrade into his PC (bought it pre-built) and he went from a 660ti to a GTX 980, he didn't realise that you needed to power both the 8pin and the 6pin connector, he only did the 8pin. This was enough to power the card for idle stuff, but the minute he loaded a game his PC shut down. He looked online for about 4 hours and resulted in going out buying another PSU to make sure that wasn't the issue. Long story short, he took a picture of the insides after this new PSU still didn't fix his issue and I noticed he was missing a 6 pin connector hahaha EDIT: He just said "I saw the 6 pin connector aswell but I didn't think it was necessary, I didn't want another wire coming across my PC and then have the 2 extra detachable pins to be dangling, making it look messy." haha

Hey peeps, I have a temperature issue going on. I have a gtx 980ti HOF which used to run around 72 C when overclocked and fans never went above 50%. Recently, I tracked down a 980ti classified to add to my system. After I added the second card in and booted valley, the temperature on the HOF went all the way up to 88 C and running around 80-83 C with fan forced 100%. Is there something wrong? I left the cards on stock in SLI but the temps are scary. I have good case airflow in a 750 D so that should not be the issue. I plan on watercooling these cards and the blocks are on the way. Should I be worried? Cheers

Hello! I am going to upgrade my PC with another 980ti as they are "cheap" right now. But I'm not sure whether my PSU will be able to handle it or not. Specs: GPU: EVGA 980ti SuperClocked CPU: i7-4790k (OverClocked) MB: MSI Z97a Gaming 7 PSU: Corsair HX750i 750W RAM: 16GB 2400MHz The CPU is cooled by corsair H110i GTX + got 4 120mm fans. The CPU is overclocked, (using the OC GENIE on the motherboard) Sincerely

This will get me by until my Wcooling project next midsummer! In the meantime, some custom sleaving + management! What do you PC buddies think of my rig? Cheers!

Hello! I'm building my first PC that I've saved up for a while now. I have about 2600 US dollars saved up and I've made two different builds on PC Part Picker and I don't know which one is best. I will be playing games like, The Witcher 3, GTA V, CS:GO, Modern Warfare 3, Black Ops 2, etc. I already have an SSD and HDD so both os these will not have storage. I already have a Windows DVD, so, none of that either. Here are the two builds: 6700 Non-K Base Build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2QqGWZ 5930K Base Build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/9Mb7kL I left some money extra for games and LED lights, etc.
