Hi all, I currently have G.Skill Flare X5 32GB 6000MHz CL32 in my system. I'm adding another 32GB to the system. I have tried to find a stockist in the UK with this kit in stock but with no luck. My question is, can I use another brand as long as it has the same speed and timings? 6000mhz CL32-38-38-96 1.35v TIA P.s Mobo is in sig

Now I want to get a Gskill 16gb stick with the same config. My question is If it will work with the 8gb samsung ram. like 8gb samsung+16gb gskill.

Which RAM is better ( both work on my MB with XMP profiles as specified, AM5 platform): Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR5-6400 2x48GB, CL32-40-40-84, 1.40V Gskill Trident Z5 RGB DDR5-6400 2x48GB, CL32-39-39-102, 1.35V Differences: A) 1.4V vs 1.35V: Does the higher voltage have a relevant disadvantage (power consumption, lifespan, heat development)? B) Timings/Latency: CL32-40-40-84 vs CL32-39-39-102 --> Which overall values are better, Corsair or Gskill? C) The DIE manufacturers: Gskill apparently has a Hynix A DIE. I don't know about Corsair. Does the DIE manufacturer matter if I don't overclock the RAM or change the timings/latency?

I've read now in multiple places where people are getting past the 3600mhz limitation with 4 dimms on am5. I'm running a 7950x and a 6400mhz 32gb gskill kit on an aorus master. Up to date bios and chipset drivers. I have a second sequential kit I removed months ago after finding out the limitations of using 4 dimms. Even tho they advertise it as such, no one will help you because it's "overclock." That's to me, like buying a car advertised with a turbo and taking it in because it won't go above 90mph. I don't understand but whatever. I know next to nothing about how to adjusting ram settings to maybe get around this. I would be perfectly happy if I could get all 4 in the 5000's. Obviously the max stable is the goal. So is there anyone out there with a 7950x and 4 high capacity dimms with Gigabyte bios that would be willing to share their one by one adjustments needed to do better than 3600? Any of your time will be very much appr. Aside from performance, it even comes down to looks. I can't stand the way 2 dimms look in comparison to 4 when rgb is being used. Thank you.

Hello, i'm a happy owner of a ROG STRIX B550-F GAMING equipped with a 5600X CPU. I would like to know if this ram kit is compatible. apparently no QVL report and no Motherboard clear support but it seems that PCPARTPICKER validate its compatibility. if anyone has been through this kind of experiment i would be glad to learn more The ram kit in question is : G.Skill Trident Z Neo 32GB RGB Kit (2x16GB) DDR4 F4-4000C18D-32GTZN

I'm going to feel like a real idiot here because I KNEW BETTER. I was troubleshooting an issue with Asus tech sport. We were trying to figure out why a new cpu wouldn't allow my pc to fully boot up. The motherboard wouldn't boot past the dram q-led indicating there was a ram issue. Not sure why because I didn't touch the ram, only the cpu. So they instructed me to turn off the pc, remove all the ram except for the B2 slot and power back on. Still no change. THEN they said to put a ram card into the A2 slot. I asked if I should turn the pc off and they said no. I asked again to clarify just in case their were any misunderstandings. Again they said with the pc on, insert the next ram card. Well, I think we all know what happened next. Pc instantly shuts off, and now even with the old cpu reinstalled I cant get past the dram error on my motherboard. Everything powers on and lights up, it just wont complete the boot process. I have tried one at a time swapping my ram cards into only the B2 slot, shutting it off each time. Tried power cycling. Have not tried resetting bios yet but I don't know if that will fix anything if my ram slots are shot. Honestly I don't know what else to try at this point. So here are my questions: 1) Is there anything else I can do to troubleshoot and possibly fix the problem? 2) If I shorted out my ram slots, could I have also shorted the ram cards? If so, how can I tell/test them? 3) Could I have shorted out any other components (gpu, wifi card, m.2 cards)? For reference, here is my setup: Asus X470-F motherboard AMD Ryzen 2700X cpu G.Skill Trident-Z DDR4 ram, 4 x 8GB Corsair RX850 psu Sapphire RX 7900 XT gpu If anyone has any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it. Really do not want to have to build a whole new pc because of this. Thanks in advance.

When I first put my computer together last January, I inadvertently installed my RAM into the wrong slots (1&3 instead of 2&4) would this cause instability at higher clock speeds? I found that when trying to get the 3200MHz advertised, I get blue screens every few days. I am going to install the ram into the correct locations and attempt to get 3200MHz again. hi there Im almost done ordering all my parts for my brand new custom EK water cooled pc however im down to which rams i should order and i would like the nicest looking rams for my build since im building in a lian li 011d XL case with hardline water cooling on GPU and CPU my build is the following Asus strix 3090 OC intel i9 10900k asus maximus XIII Hero I found these rams which i really like because of thier look https://www.proshop.dk/RAM/GSkill-Trident-Z-Royal-DDR4-3200-C16-QC-Silver-32GB/2770666 Sorry for the website not being in English but i hope some of you will be able to use the translator to see the specs I see alot of people saying 3200 mhz is fine for the 10900k and then some saying 3600 is better because you loose performance. my budget on rams is 600 USD but i would also like some that has a really nice look to them like these gskill royals because im going for the "wow effect" on my build. So my question is the following: Is this ram set fine for my build or will i loose too much performance when "only" going for the 3200 mhz rams EDIT: The PC is going to be used for gaming only and no 3d work or anything like that. Figured i would mention that

Got the last of my parts yesterday. Couple issues arose, one of them being one of four RAM sticks stopped lighting up.(3) I don't need help getting programs to work, I just want all four of my modules to light up. Between one DIMM not working with almost any pattern and having rainbows, I'll take the rainbows. Works great too, all 32gb. MB: Asus Crosshair 8 Dark Hero RAM: Trident Z Royal 4x8 - F4-3600C14Q-32GTRSB Note: Windows asked me repair my OS yesterday to, despite being a new install. Nervous first boot, everything looked great! Updated Bios, got a prompt to install Asus Armory Crate, so I did. Used it to install my drivers, played first game to "see what I bought". Not bad. Finally went into Armoury to play around with RGB, it's great. While personalizing Windows, it freaked out not showing anything in the menu when I went to turn on small icons. Tried to shutdown and I couldn't, cursor and menus "responded" but nothing actually worked, hard shutdown. This was when Windows wanted me to repair. Repair finished and Armoury Crate was missing, Steam was broken, and poor Teamspeak. Reinstall. Then really got into playing with RGB after installing Aura. It's really great! Noticed DIMM 3 was now out. Reboot. Only 3 DIMMS showing in Aura. Reboot. Now missing in Armoury. Reboot. Missing in WINDOWS. Swap 3 and 4. FIXED! 32gb RAM and RGB! While playing a game #3 goes out again. Turned off/on RGB, shutdown psu off for 3m, reinstalled Armoury and Aura, swap DIMMS 3 and 4. Same issue, good, it's software. Ignorantly thought G. Skills Software would help, installed G. Skill Lighting. (Forgot, don't have more than 1) Nothing. Uninstall Lighting, Aura and Armoury via Windows. Nothing. Read that I need to do it long hand. Did so with Revo Uninstaller Pro. No luck after full shutdown. Came back to the problem later, swap 3 and 4 again, now the issue followed the DIMM.. DIMM 4 is now out. That's where I'm at, thinking of doing a fresh Win install, read it might work. Mostly because I've read that there are few who are flashing their DIMMs? Something to do with SPD and re-binning, idk, it's above me and I just got this RAM I'd rather return/replace. Regardless, thank you for your time! Cheers!

One of my ram sticks rgb isn't connecting to anything other than asus aura, it wont even connect to the Gskill rgb software. when i remove the working stick, the problem is solved but as soon as i add it back in the rgb only works on one stick while the other is in a continuous rgb cycle. HELP, I JUST BUILT THIS PC 3 WEEKS AGO.

I was fortunate enough to come into a small amount of money recently so I went ahead and ordered the new PSU along with the GPU. Since those parts were brand new I decided I should go ahead and tear it down and do a deep clean on it since I never put the side panels on because I knew if I did I would procrastinate and not get it completed. I received the parts on Friday afternoon and about 6:30 I went ahead and got started with the redux of the build. Well about 12 hours later I was finally finished everything, I know you're thinking 12 hours goodness gracious LMAO, I'm disabled so I have to do things in spurts so I don't end up hurting myself any worse than I already am. I know I could use some 24 pin extensions along with the GPU cables, however, I actually love the way this looks because it doesn't look like everyone elses. A little caveat also is my name is Thomas and of course my screen name and nickname being TubbyTubb I know it's gonna sound corny but I love how the GPU cables and the water lines sort of make a big T, like I said corny LMAO. I apologize ahead ahead of time for there being so many links but I have an 108MP camera on my phone and the files are very large so I couldn't just drag and drop them in the box like I did the main picture I used to give y'all a glimpse of what you would see. I welcome any and all critiques and constructive criticism. The only thing I ask is for nobody to be rude because it doesn't look the way you think it should look. This is what I was able afford so I done the best I can. Some of y'all may have seen my other post in the custom loop section. I am planning on water-cooling both the CPU and GPU I'm working on getting all of the required parts to do that in the fairly new future. A couple or friends are sending me an EKWB EK-Quantum Velocity RGB CPU block for free and the other is sending me all of his bending, deburr tool, tube bending tools as well so I don't have to buy everything just to do one rig. I will probably invest in some of my own in case I get an order for me to build someone a system. Here are the pics: Completely finished This was when I originally "completed" it last year This is right after I tore it down you can see it obviously needed a good bath Of course I had the best helper/supervisor you could ask for LMAO I know my cable management isn't the best on some of them I was length restricted Let me know what you think please. Hey, I have a ASUS B360M-A PRIME motherboard and I'm currently using a G.skill Ripjaws V (16x1gb 2400mhz 15-15-15-35) stick. Old RAM Specs. I have bought this- G.skill Ripjaws V (16x1gb 3000mhz 16-16-16-38) stick. (F4-3000C16S-16GVRB) Cant find it on the Gskill website? Bought from here. What settings do I have to change in bios to make it work optimally? Do I set both sticks to 2400mhz 15-15-15-35? Thanks.

I am already at a loss and maybe someone can help me out. I have a B450 I AORUS PRO WIFI and upgraded my ram with a G.Skill F4-3600C18D-16GTZR as it is the only available RAM that I can get my hands on. Problem is, whenever I try to to activate XMP profile, it just wouldn't apply. It is just stuck at 2,133MHz. I tried to manually change it, but still a no go. I am currently at the F51 version of the MOBO. Below are the stats that I get after enabling the XMP profile:

A week ago I stupidly thought that it would be a good idea to mess with voltages on my ram. This has Since bricked the computer and shows the dram debug led when powered on (photos below). I originally thought it was just the ram that got fried, so I bought a new kit but I still get the same issue with the new set. The only things that I can think of as to why the new ram produces the same issues is that the new ram is faulty, or the ram slots got fried. If I have to replace the motherboard. Photos, part list, and qvl lists avalible below. Any help would be greatly appreciated. *THIS THREAD IS ALSO ON r/pcmasterrace so I WILL MARK THIS AS SOLVED IF I GET AN ANSWER FROM THERE* [Parts list](https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Crazygamerfreak/saved/#view=NXVkJx) (pc is a prebuilt from cyberpowerpc but these are the same parts including upgrades I made) QVL page for ram and Motherboard: [Motherboard](https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/support/B360M-BAZOOKA#support-mem-3) [Ram](https://www.gskill.com/qvl/165/184/1536032671/F4-2666C19D-16GVR-Qvl) top photo is old ram, bottom is new set

first time posting, just made account. really frustrated, tried everything and nobody seems to have the exact issue i am regarding ram. i bought G.skill 8x16 ram (exactly the F4-3600C18D-32GVK) to upgrade my G.skill 2x8. it has the same speed and everything. (except size obv, and probably timing?) but when i shove it in there (i got them in the right slots, don't worry) absolutely nothing runs, wont even post, not with a single stick or two, not with the 2x8 or without, nothing posts when those sticks are in. one time with a bunch of stupid bios resetting i got even into windows with all 4 sticks in (correct slots/order) however about 30 seconds later i blue screened my bios version is only 1 behind the current (7C02v3A instead of 7C02v3B) and shouldn't make a difference. also it shouldn't be the ram sticks themselves because I've already replace them once now, and run all 4 of the 2x16 in single mode, none work. one thing to note is that support for this ram specifically is not listed on AMD's website, which doesn't mean much but still. (closet 2 listed being F4-3600C18D-16GTRG & F4-3600C18D-16GTRS) anything I'm missing? I've tried tons of combos in BIOS/ram, again the closest I've gotten was the blue screen when i completely bios wipe, got a bios message telling me it ran into some issue and if i waned to go back into set-up or boot as factory settings. EDIT: got into boot, but cant get speeds past 2133, they're rated for 3600

Hello everyone, this post is long overdue. I'm currently experiencing a on-going issue with the rgb lights on my z490 gaming carbon wifi mobo. Following the swapping of my case last month I noticed that the lights on my motherboard stopped working and the only way to turn it on is to flip the rgb switch on the mobo to get the lights working again but the thing is, is that whenever the computer goes into sleep mode or say it goes into screensaver mode the lights on the mobo stop working which means I need to repeat the process once again. It's gotten to the point where I have to leave the rgb lights on the mobo off since it's a grueling process just to get it working once again. What makes matters worse is that recently while tinkering with the rgb lights on my gskill ram both msi's software and gskill have stopped detecting the modules in the rgb software. It's stuck to the default rainbow wave. I've tried almost everything in terms of trying to troubleshoot this. Things I've tried: 1) Uninstall/reinstall the software 2) Restart the system 3) Flip the switch (Only thing that works that is able to turn on my mobo lights) And to add onto that, the mobo isn't picking up my ethernet cable which is a different topic that I recently posted. I've narrowed the problem down to two possible things. Either a software is conflicting with the ethernet cable which is highly unlikely or the actual port is dead. Same goes for my RGB lights. Either there's a conflict regarding the rgb software for the lights on the mobo or the RGB lights are bricked. Do note, that I used to run 6 fans in my previous case and now I have 9 fans installed with the Commander pro module made by Corsair. If there's anyone that could help me with this please tell me because I am just about to RMA this board or upgrade to a Z590 board. My specs: MSI Z490 Gaming Carbon Wifi RTX 3080 ti EVGA FTW3 i9 11900k G.Skill 3200 mhz 64 gb of RAM (4x 16GB sticks) XPG Gammix 1TB S11 M.2 Samsung 870Q SSD Should I attempt a fresh installation of windows? Remove all my SSD's and M.2 and put in a fresh SSD and see if the lights work? If that doesn't should I proceed with an RMA? The nearest MSI repair center is like 30 minutes from where I live. (RGB LED switch is turned on)

Hi everyone, I'm looking at these 2 GSkill kits: F4-4000C16D-16GVK - 4000 MHZ, 16-19-19-39 at 1.4v F4-4000C16D-16GVKA - 4000 MHZ, 16-16-16-36 at 1.4v They both look like Samsung B-die. I'm thinking, maybe they made the 16-19-19 kit because some CPUs can't do 16-16-16 and the XMP will fail, but other than that, both kits are identical and will do 16-16-16 at 1.4v. Can somebody confirm that? I know B-die generally does flat timings, or maybe +-1. Maybe the 16-19-19 kit isn't B-die?
