Hi guys, So I just built a pc...my first build, with following specs. Ryzen 7800x3d Asrock Taichi Ryzen 7900 XTX Hyte y60 case Two Noctua AF14 3000 PWM intake fans at bottom Two f140 NZXT Duo intake fans on side One NZXT AER 120mm Exhaust fan at rear Deepcool LT 720 360mm AIO cooler with 3 NZXT AER 120mm fans as exhaust at the top. Now by no means is this fan set up weak but I am concerned about my GPU temps. Because the GPU is chonky and takes 3 slots, and because its mounted vertically, it sits very close to the glass side panel and starves. Without the glass panel the GPU temps under full load are global 65 degrees and hotspot 85 degrees. But if we put glass side panel, Global temps reach 75 degrees and hotspot temps can reach 111 degrees but average at almost 100. I understand 75 degrees global temps are fine, what worries me is the hotspot temps. If I knew this case would basically give my graphic card a slow death I would not have got it. Pretty annoyned.....but can yall confirm if this is as bad as I think it is and if anybody has solutions please.

HELLO, This is my first post in this forum! And Well, Back to 2019 i bought a GTX 1060 6GB GDDR5X (GTX 1060 GALAX REDBLACK), since she came to me, she sowed a little hight temperatures, arround 87 degrees in her stock fan courves, and I changed it (to a mode agressive one, and change the thermal paste too) after this, she get arround 83 degrees (90/100 degrees in hot spot), but in last months I heard a sound in her fans, and surprisely, one of than it s crashing and making so much noise, I searched in market for a replacement fan and I didint found anything (just a similar fan -Ga82s2h t128215sh galax gtx1060- but is not the same fit), I searched in Aliexpress, Ebay, Facebook... After this im considering to use 2 regular 120mm fans in my Gpu, but I dont know if they will hold her temperatures! Can Anyone Help me with this please?? And About the temperatures, I think that her cooling are too weak... THANKS!

I'm trying to cool my RTX 3070 as best as possible. During renders, I've seen the temperatures reach 70dC or higher. I've made some changes so hopefully this will settle the temperatures down. If you have any recommendations, feedback is much appreciated! The case I am using: Lian Li LANCOOL II Mesh

I was watching some tear downs of the GPU currently own and noticed that there are no thermal pads to use the backplate as a heat spreader. If I wanted to modify the card and add-on some thermal pads, what would be a good one to purchase?

Hello, I've been having trouble cooling my GPU for a while now. Idle temps seem fine, but if I hop on to Civ 6, HWInfo 64 reports my GPU hotspot temps at over100C. I've reapplied thermal paste, using hydronaut, and replaced the stock thermal pads with thermal grizzly's pads, and the problem is the same. As far as I know, the GPU fans seem to work fine, and the rest of the temps in my PC seem fine (meshify C with front foam removed, 2 120mm Noctua s12A PWM fans for front intake/ 1 for rear exhaust). If anyone has some advice, I would love to hear it! I just want to take care of my computer.

Hello all, As mentioned before I am a newbie at building and customizing my own system. My approach to it is to maximize performance with the least amount of money possible (as many of us are). So following this, I installed a V5 air cooler by Vetroo (the black edition). I was skeptical but it drop my CPU's IDLE temperature a sweet 7-10 degrees compared to the stock cooler (I am running a Ryzen 5 5600X). The case that I have comes with 4 fans (3 at the front and 1 in the back) and the cooler comes with 1 fan. The problem that I am trying to solve now is: would I get >3 degrees difference if I install an extra fan? and If so, what is the best location to put it? I have all the top of the case available (I would place it as exhaust) and of course a pull fan on the other side of the cooler (arrows). I think that putting both might be beneficial but it would not improve much cooling compared to only 1 fan. What are people's thoughts? Note: I will not put RGB on those fans (I know it will decrease performance....jk) Thank you all!

Hello! My Gigabyte GTX 970 started to make rattling noises: https://youtu.be/_k2PCpsjhdc Is my GPU shroud loose? Are my fans dying? Is it even worth repairing?

So guys, what if I put a 40 mm fan right there next to my GPU blowing out will it help at all with my GPU temps?, will it get the hot air that's stuck there out? these are the specs of the 40mm fan 40 x 40 x 10 mm. 4500 rpm 8,26 m3/h air flow 14,9 dB(A) is it worth it at all or will it just add extra noise?

I have an AMD Radeon RX 580 GPU in a Dell 5675 PC. This GPU runs very hot near 80c most of the time. I don't game on this machine so temp reduction is more important than performance increase. Any experience on how to reduce temps on this CPU? Thanks in advance for any guidance.

I'm looking for a WATERBLOCK + BACKPLATE FOR QAUDRO RTX 4000 GPU I've looked everywhere for it, only one I could find has been discontinued. My gpu is getting EXTREMELY HOT, I even tried mounting 120mm ×2 fans underneath it & didn't even notice a temp diff after doing so! I built my pc for photo/video editing but also to game but at the moment I can't even game on it do to GPU OVER-HEATING! PLEASE HELP

iv recently be thinking about a case upgrade for my first build which is as followed current build an spec before the gpu upgrade my 1660 oc super triple fan never broke 52c under load an while i know the its a different type an series , i think that the fact that the power color has just two fans vs my older tri fan gpu an my other builds gpu the XFX Speedster SWFT 309 Radeon RX 6700xt 12 GB Video Card which has three also makes a diff an would in the my case , i did try it out both in horizontal an vertical mounting an compared to the power color the temps were a whole 5c lower horizontal mount & in vertical mount were 7.5c which i know isnt super but aint crap either but the XFX Speedster SWFT 309 Radeon RX 6700xt an why i could just leave it its intended for my 2nd build an has a matching waterblock ive yet to install , so the power color is staying in the 1st build an now to my long winded question id like your Thoughts & advice needed on instead of getting a different gpu just want to getting a different case with different fan cooling layout so recently i saw the new cases all have got me interested the NZXT H5 Flow , Hyte Y40 , Hyte Y60 which do you'll think would be the best upgrade over my corsair 275 air i like both the Hyte Y40 & Hyte Y60 for the mobo side fan intakes bottom fans an triple an quad vertical gpu mounts which i think either being able to mount further into the case with the fan layout as followed sides intake , rear as aio intake , bottom & top as exhaust would work far better then my current case or get the NZXT H5 Flow an using the rear an top as intakes with the aio in the top front also as intake an use the front two an angled front bottom'ish fan all as exhaust so which of the three an my desired configs would be the best buy an layout

Yo!, Just built a new rig, its a Fractal Design node 304 build with a 7700k using the corsair h90 watercooling. The h90 got a 140mm fan mount and so did the chassi so it worked perfectly to just add it to the exhaust vent. However the chassi is so small the only way I can see to get in like a MSI seahawk X or evga hybrid (closed watercooled gpu) in there would be to add that radiator in a series to the other radiator using like a 140mm to 120mm bracket like this one: https://www.amazon.com/Bgears-Cooling-Fan-Adapter-140mm-Black/dp/B0043GMY1U Would that be an overall just bad idea you think?, as the cpu radiator would only get warm air to cool down, or would I only lose a few degrees, and it might be ok? ./Pintuz PS: not sure if this is a reoccuring topic so I posted it as a new topic, sorry if its discussed somewhere else

What's the best heatsinks to get for my nzxt g10? I have the cooler and stuff but my copper heatsinks don't fit well on the GPU memory modules.

Is anyone know any program to setting fan speed works like water pump? I want my fans spin at certain speed till 40'C then stop, if the temperature exceeds 60'c they will start again. So there's 2 curves, one at cooling down, and another one for rising temperature. Thanks, hope you understand my wish :v illustration, lel

So I've just ordered a 1080 ti ArcticStorm edition, and its arriving tomorrow, but im a bit worried. https://www.zotac.com/us/product/graphics_card/zotac-geforce-gtx-1080-ti-arcticstorm It mentions a direct copper contact, but doesnt say what the block is made from. However, on the previous model for the 1080 arcticstorm, it says that its a "lightweight aluminium block".....aluminium.....in a watercooling block with a direct copper contact: Surely this is just a recipie for a nice big corroded hole in the block? edit: Just got an email back from zotac. The block is nickel plated copper. The backplate and silver accent on the cover is aluminium

Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1080 G1 Gaming 8G and AMD Ryzen 7 1700X Processor be compatible with EK Fluid Gaming a240g water cooling kit. On the site said it is compatible with the GTX 1080 founder edition. So is the gigabyte the same card as the reference card? beside the same gpu =.=

So I had an idea to do a loop that breaks into a T-split for each device. Currently I have my 980 (maybe soon a 1080) and my i5 processor in my system. I had already searched the Internet to find if something like this was ever accomplished be four but my results where empty. Or in other terms, blue comes from the reservoir cold. And hot water goes to the radiator, red. And in one of the two blue pipes, there would be a valve to control speed between the two pipes. The idea was to see if any formal benefit would come of using this scheme over a conventional loop. And to see if any one may have actually done such thing.

I need some help, I just bought a gtx 980ti card off ebay (an msi version with a blower style cooler), it works perfectly well however temps get very high very fast (mid 80's to low 90's under load and no OC) it also takes a very long time to lower the temp even at 100% fan speed (yes fan works well its very loud, temp lowers about 1 degree C per sec at fastest) Is it possible to replace it with an aftermarket non blower cooler say from an broken evga card or would it be helpful to replace the thermal paste? thanks!

I just took apart my rig for the first time in a year in prep for an upgrade. When inspecting the GPU block of a GTX 1080 Gigabyte Waterforce I noticed these unusual cracks/buildup. Any ideas what it might be and if I should be worried?

I have watched some videos on youtube and saw some builds place the AIO system with the radiator facing out right behind the front panel with the fans facing inwards behind the radiator doing a pulling in. Such orientation of the cooling system will be pushing the hot air from the radiator and hot air will accumulate inside the, even though the exhaust at the rear and at the top are running, but wouldn't such arrangement add more heat air to the original heat dissipated from the back of the GPU card and the motherboard? My question is, if I am building a new system with a 240mm AIO cooling system and I intend to install it at the front of the case, what is the most effective arrangement of the system in terms of fan and radiator orientation? ***Linus video are the best!

GPU heatsinks leave much lacking. If you get a PCIe extension, and don't care about having a compact rig, you can give them breathing room sufficient to mount a superior CPU heatsink on them. Emphasis here on "mount". GPU and CPU mounts differ sufficiently that this isn't simple. I don't have a 3-d printer or access to machining equipment to make my own. Does anyone know of adapters that could mount a CPU heatsink on a GPU? (and, yes, I've looked at GPU heatsinks. and, I don't want to hook up an AIO to watercool the GPU.)

Hey! I hope there's someone who can help me out. Bought Aorus RTX2080 Super, RGB is not crucial to me tho... I'm more interested in low temps and low noise levels, so I decided to upgrade cooling with Accelero Xtreme IV. Did the same thing to my old GTX1070 and it worked great. However this beast has 5 connectors in total, I marked them all in the pic. Originally, connectors 1,2,3 and 5 were used. 1&2 are 3-pin, 3&5 are 12-pin and 4 is 4-pin (this one wasn't used). Accelero has a standard 4 pin PWM connector, however, if I plug it into that 4-pin connector on RTX, fans are throttling at 100%, not immediately when I turn the PC on but as soon as I log in to Win10. I checked MSI Afterburner but it does nothing, not able to adjust it at all. Is there a solution to this issue? Any help will be much appreciated!

Hey! I have question about airflow in my PC case(Meshify C). Gpu temperatures are tad high, around 77/78C (171/173F) in games with unlocked framerate like DIRT 2 and 81C(178F) in Kombustor benchmark. With glass panel taken off temps drop around 4/5C lower I have added 120 mm fan as low as i possibly can ( i need to buy adapter 140 to 120 to properly mount fan in that position ).It helped somewhat, temps are about 2-3C lower. When I replaced 120mm fan with 140mm (first picture), I have created hot air vortex between fan and GPU as gpu exhaust hot air on their sides (2070 Super Ventus) when i put hand between Gpu and fan it is very hot there. generally GPU temperatures are also higher with 140mm fan. So my question is how I can improve airflow and GPU cooling (CPU is around 55C, max 60C for short peaks underload) in this PC case. Is it the best solution to mount this 120mm fan(BeQuiet Pure wings2) as shown on second picture? Please, do not pay attention to the cables, I am currently mounting HDD on the back. Normally cables do not block the air flow. And apologize for my english, its not my native language and I am trying my best. thank you in advance for the help I really need it.

So I’ve seen a few videos and threads of people throwing CPU coolers on their graphics cards and I’m wondering if I could do the same. I’m planning on upgrading my CPU cooler to a D15 or U12a in preparation for a hotter cpu I may upgrade to, in the meantime, my reference 480 is obnoxiously loud if I want it not to throttle. So I’m thinking once I upgrade my cpu cooler and I just have this 212 lying around, i could use it to replace the stock blower cooler on my 480. Any ideas as to how I could/should go about this in a way that is least dangerous to the card and will work long ish term? I have a Define R6 so i dont think the space limitations would be an issue at all, mostly concerned about sagging on the card and mounting pressure. Thanks in advance for any replies or suggestions!
