  1. Budget (including currency): Flexible but prefer on the budget side maybe say 5-600 max Country: U.S. Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: streaming live church services to FB via x264 encoding and OBS software (no gaming) Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Would like to stream at 1080p 60fps My church has tasked me with building a computer capable of giving us a good quality streaming experience as
  2. yeah should be fine, im not really a hardcore fast paced fps gamer or anything like that, mostly league of legends, rpg's, occasionally some battlefield, etc. im also pretty budget limited, so long as this thing is better than my refurbished 60hz 40 dolla ebay screen ill be happy
  3. yeah i know i gota have a few compromises, but i found some good reviews on youtube, a few mins ago they did some good testing so i sprung for it hopefully will be okay, or at least better than the refurbished 60hz acer im currently using
  4. Hey guys im about to upgrade my little 60hz monitor, I was looking at this one in particular https://www.amazon.com/dp/B078P2XN9M/?coliid=I3O0SN8RL7XJBC&colid=1DX9SE3N0GDW0&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it was wondering if you guys knew if this is a good monitor or not,as well as any of you guys' suggestions, im looking to stay close to 150-175 dollar range, but pretty flexible.
  5. Hey all, so I'm considering the GN24CB as my next monitor (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B078P2XN9M/?coliid=I3O0SN8RL7XJBC&colid=1DX9SE3N0GDW0&psc=0&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it) however I have also seen listings and reviews for the GN24C (no B) (https://www.ebay.com/p/8026514983) I was wondering what the B is for or if there is any real difference here? could it be just a naming difference based off region of availability because to my research it seems like the panels are exactly the same. Thanks
  6. thanks for the advice guys, i think i might just go with a total upgrade then, spend a few extra bucks
  7. likely so, but i just need a hold over until I have a bigger budget (I have about a year before i finish nursing school and can get a steady job), I was considering just selling what I have and going for a Ryzen 2600 build (about the max my budget allows), but from what ive seen it looks like i can get nearly the same or better performance with something like a 4790k or similar xeon i can get similar performance (maybe with a bit higher cpu usage but still better than the 100% im currently seeing) Oh im also about to upgrade my monitor to 144hz, if i was keeping this 60hz monitor
  8. yeah main problem im having is the cpu is pegged at 100% in most games and my 980ti sits at about 80-90% usage, and in more cpu intensive games i get some pretty harsh stutters, most notably the outer worlds. Also idk if it matters much but my MB is an H97 PC mate
  9. Hey guys, so im considering upgrading my i5 4460 to a new cpu with 8 threads and a higher clock speed. I was considering a 4790k but the prices are pretty high (usually 150-200+) and then i found similarly spec'd xeons for much cheaper (this one is 85 on ebay https://www.ebay.com/itm/Intel-Xeon-E3-1271V3-SR1R3-3-60GHz-Quad-Core-LGA1150-CPU-Processor/362865500598?hash=item547c7821b6%3Ag%3ARbkAAOSwYIJeB-Rv&LH_BIN=1) My mb cant really overclock or anything anyway so I don't have to worry about that. My question is, is there any real downside to the Xeon vs the 4790? in terms of gaming o
  10. so I have a question, I know typically the H series motherboards were incapable of overclocking but with a bios update it now shows an OC feature? I am considering upgrading my i5 4460 to an i7 4790k (instead of buying a new mb and Ryzen cpu and RAM even though I really want to but i'm on a budget). Anyway can anyone confirm if this board is now capable of overclocking and is the 4790k worth it even if i can't overclock? I've seen some videos comparing it to a R5 2600 and it looks very similar in terms of gaming performance. thanks all!
  11. so i recently bought a new case, this one https://www.newegg.com/p/N82E16811353158 it comes with an included rgb fan hub, and im looking to buy a few extra rgb fans because I like the unicorn puke. question is do I need to buy this company's specific fans, or will any regular rgb fan work with the hub?
  12. thanks for the pic man, and yeah i know its gonna be restrictive but im buying mostly for looks ill shove a bunch of case fans elsewhere
  13. I'm looking for more information or pictures of the cable management side of this case DIYPC DIY-Model C-RGB, https://www.newegg.com/p/N82E16811353158 I have looked everywhere on the internet for more pics but just cant seem to find them or find anyone who has done a video review of it. If anyone has one of these cases or has a link to a video review or something that would be swell thanks!
  14. I need some help, I just bought a gtx 980ti card off ebay (an msi version with a blower style cooler), it works perfectly well however temps get very high very fast (mid 80's to low 90's under load and no OC) it also takes a very long time to lower the temp even at 100% fan speed (yes fan works well its very loud, temp lowers about 1 degree C per sec at fastest) Is it possible to replace it with an aftermarket non blower cooler say from an broken evga card or would it be helpful to replace the thermal paste? thanks!
