As the title says, Borderlands 2 crashes instantly upon clicking "PLAY" in the launcher (specifically, it'll load the first frame of the 2K splash screen, then lock up a second and close). Borderlands 3 runs with no problems. Hunt: Showdown and L4D2 will both occasionally crash for seemingly no reason in the same way--all temperatures are seemingly fine, nothing particularly intense is going on, though my game will just freeze for about half a second with no audio, then play the next frame, then hard crash to desktop. I've verified integrity of game files for all of them, and issues persist. For Hunt, the crash crops up like every 1 in 4 games or so, and in L4D2 it happens after like 30 minutes or so of playing. As a bonus, Counter-Strike 2 will also crash like once every 4 or 5 rounds, and sometimes won't even let me load into the menu. I've tried running 3DMark benchmarks and stress tests (specifically, Time Spy, Time Spy Extreme, Fire Strike, and some others I can't think of) with no issues whatsoever. I don't remember the framerates I get in each game, but I believe they're all consistently >100. I've been dealing with these problems for months now and nothing I do can fix it. I just re-installed Windows hoping it was some problem with it, but the same problems are still around. I've gotten to the point where I'm considering just replacing my desktop that's served me loyally for a decade and just building a new computer, but I'd be willing to try whatever the LTT forum gods have to offer. Are there any special BIOS settings I should try using, options to change in Windows, or just some hardware incompatibility I have that I'm blind to? Feel free to suggest stuff that's plainly obvious as well. My experience debugging computer issues is really limited, so it's possible I might have just not considered something that everyone would start with. Also, in case it matters, my OBS settings are attached; I have the Replay Buffer running pretty much all the time, so that may have something to do with this.

Hi im here again to discuss about the problem that has been troubling me for days, i have decided to change cpu's as per advised by a friend of mine because my prev cpu was way too weak for my gpu using the bottleneck calculator, they said that it could be the cause of the problems. After setting it up i tried to play multiple games from steam such as overwatch and the forest and they lasted pretty long but not long enough to meet my needs, the change in the error is that it didn't show any sort of message that the problem is due to the gpu which was the common message that i got from previously (using my previous cpu), rather it didn't show the screen but the application is still there and i was still able to move in the game which was weird (this was in the "the forest" game). In overwatch i was able to play for an hour with no crashes though it only showed a message in where i have to send a feedback to the devs. My temps are normal, cpu and gpu usage are okay, i have done ddu before (this was done in my prev cpu im still thinking hesitating of doing this again as recommended by my friend after installing a new cpu). Reinstalled games in steam, changed resolution both in game and in my nvidia itself. specs: cpu: (new) i9 13900k / (prev) i5 12600k gpu: geforce rtx 4060 ti psu: corsair 750 w ram: 32gb ddr4 teamgroup delta storage: 2tb ssd Silicon Power nvme m.2 mobo: Asus rog strix z690 a

So I was asking here https://www.reddit.com/r/buildapc/comments/16cqh3f/games_crushing_while_streaming_on_discord/ about games crashing while streaming on discord or while at unlimited fps. But the next day games like bg3 and the devil in me started crashing at random places even with capped fps. When I lower video setting from high to low crashes does not seem to appear. Crash itself looks like that: screen goes black for a couple of seconds and then game either closes or just stops responding, some games give an error which indicates gpu driver crash. I've run a bunch of stress tests on every component and got only 1 crash in cinebench. I've run it few more times and didnt get another one. It's weir and all but does seem like psu crash gpu sometimes. But how do I actually know that it is a psu problem not gpu without replacing components? GPU - Asus tuf rtx 3080 CPU - Ryzen7 5800x3d RAM - Kingston DDR4 32GB (2x16GB) 3200Mhz FURY Beast Black (Its currently running at 2400mhz no xmp enabled) MotherBoard - Asus TUF GAMING B450-PLUS II Power supply - CHIEFTEC Proton 1000W p.s, i dont overclock anything and tried different drivers and used DDU as well

Hey all this is my first time posting on here. I've just installed a Gainward Ghost 3060 12gb into my system and any games requiring a decent spec crash on start with Resi 4 and Cyberpunk being the worst culprits. The games crash just before the title cards come up, this wasn't a problem with my old 6gb 2060. The rest of my machine contains a ryzen 3600, 16gb of Ballistix ram and a semi modular 550w TX550M Corsair psu. I've also got 2 ssds and one 2tb hdd hooked up. Resizable bar is enabled on the MB. I think it might the psu but when I've checked online everything points to it being fine for the gpu. Massive thanks to anyone who can help

Hi We are a at a stand still now, Gaming PC was working fine in December. Major changes since then are a new screen: Samsung Odyssey C49G95 49" And probably some windows 11 updates. What happens? Games crash upon startup, i get into lobby but everytime the screen shrinks and moves to left top corner and game crashes. Same behavior on COD Warzone and Battlfield. What have we tried? • adjusted scaling settings windows, NVIDIA control panel to 100%/Disabled. • scan and repair multiple times • deleted and reinstalled games • started in safe mode/admin mode • removed/reinstalled GPU driver What have we not tried as of now: • Downgrade to win10 • remove latest win11 updates • update G9 screen software Any help would be greatly appreciated, i think the screen is the culprit but have to get this updated to be sure. Would really like to know if anyone has been experiencing similar issues PC: Palit Geforce RTX 3060 stormX Intel core I7 11700F Kingston fury beast DDR4 3200mhz 32GB WD Black SN850 1TB M.2 SSD Asus ROG STRIX B560 Gaming Screen: Samsung Odyssey C49G95 49"

I am facing an issue whenever I launch a game after a few minutes of playing the screen crashes and there is no display & sound, the pc is still running though I have to restart the system. I have a Zotac GTX 1650 super. It is happening since the driver was updated. I have rolled the driver back a few times but still, the issue remains. Other than the daily other applications seem to be working fine. But during games, it always happens. The temps are around 40-50 when this happens and the base is around 34. Anyone knows what could be the issue?? PSU: ThermalTake 500W Games tested: Apex legends Death Stranding Valorant

Whenever I try to play a game on my pc, (Valorant, COD Warzone, Minecraft, Apex) it randomly crashes and sometimes freezes, forcing me to restart my pc. I built my pc back in 2020 and this problem has been going on since and I can't find a solution. I have tried reinstalling windows, rolling back the drivers, diagnosing my memory, underclocking my gpu and reinstalling the drivers with DDU and have found nothing that shows what's wrong. My Pc specs are: Ryzen 5 3600 Asus Dual RTX 3070 oc Asus Tuf Gaming B550-Plus Wifi Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 16 GB 3200mhz Corsair iCUE H100i ELITE CAPELLIX Western Digital Black SN750 500 GB M.2-2280 NVME Ssd Corsair RMx (2021) 850 W 80+ Corsair 4000D Airflow If someone could please help me out and try to solve this with me it would be greatly appreciated. Hey there friends! Having a mega issue, and I'm pretty sick and tired of it haha.. I just upgraded my GPU from a 2060 to a 2070 Super. Played fine for a week or so but now we have issues. Cod Modern Warfare will crash (most of the time) immediately upon enacting Raytracing, or it will crash randomly without. When it doesn't crash, I see black graphical artifacts that pollute the screen, seemingly coming from the character model/guns. Tried running full settings down to safe mode low settings. Seems like low settings work (mostly). Anything other than lowest? Both issues occur. When it crashes it gives the error "Directx encountered an unrecoverable error - 6068 , or 5761" Something interesting to note is I don't see my GPU spiking as much as I think it should with this game... Dead by Daylight will crash within 5 minutes of entering the match. Nothing else to it, just what happens. PUBG will run and like DbD, randomly crash. Mega fixes I've tried- DDU uninstall reinstall GPU drivers, Complete reinstall erasure of my boot drive, Played with RAM overclocks, Reinstall all directX files, cant figure out how to reinstall the dx12 - but since I wiped my boot drive that cant be the issue - right? Upgraded bios from F7 version to f50 (holy shit, right?) Reinstall all games. I'm starting to wonder if this could be something wrong with my Motherboard. I've been having trouble with my build since I have taken it to another city for Christmas, transported it on the motherboards side of the case, fabric lined seat in the car. Is there a chance that the issue is a Motherboard? I have eliminated the Boot drive as being the issue ( thought this may be caused by a bad driver or something), and I don't know if this is something easy enough to point at the GPU. Power Supply maybe? IDK. Y'all know more than me lmao. Specs - games are on the 3 tb hard drive, and the 1 tb m.2 drive. OS is on the 2.5 ssd. https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/user/TophatCrusader/saved/#view=DCgBcf

A month ago i got a new RX470 strix and it seems that in some games like csgo after 5 mins of gameplay my pc crashes and restarts in other games like rise of the tomb raider everything works fine. According to the minidump files it seems that the problem is with my asus xonar dg sound card. So i uninstalled the asus driver and it seems that fixed the problem but is there anyway i can fix this issue and still use my soundcard when playing games? my specs are: i5 3570 Rx470 strix 12gb of ram Gigabyte z77x-d3h cx500 watt psu

My games keep crashing and sometimes fortnite keeps using 9-10 GB of my ram which causes the game to crash or even run at 10 fps. at first I thought fortnite was the only game that was crashing but CSGO, GTA online all of them started crashing. I emailed epic games (I didn't know it happened on other games at that point) and they sent me this" However in case you have proceeded with all of our troubleshooting steps and you are still encountering FPS drops you are possibly experiencing hardware issues. As I am certain you understand Epic Player Support is unable to further assist you with changes regarding your PC."Is there a way to fix this? this usually happens after playing the game for 30,40 minutes and for some reason happens the most on creative, Except it doesn't happen at all on my islands. Most of the times it says fortnite is using "10GB" in task manager but a few times I saw "unrealcefsubprocess" use it instead and it fixes when I ends that task but it comes back after 10-15 minutes but fortnite starts using more ram instead.(fortnite) On GTA and other games it just crashes without any error other than the launcher telling me it crashed. Is this something to do with my GPU? or my CPU? (Fps drops down to 1-10)Specs:Cpu: i7-8700kRam: Corsair VENGEANCE PRO RGB 16GB (2x8GB)Gpu: MSI RTX 2070 Gaming 8GMB: MSI MPG Z390 GAMING EDGE ACMy OS is on: Samsung 970 EVO PLUS M.2 250GBMy game is on: Samsung 860 EVO 500GB SSD

Hi guys. I have a 2080 super and it runs hot. I know 4K demands alot from the GPU but I'll be changing to 1440p monitor soon. Getting ready for CyberPunk 2077. :DD Now it's summer It runs even hotter. I was just wondering if I could just straight up buy a AIO cooler and use that instead of the stock cooler fans in the GPU. I saw JayTwoCents do this in his vid. So I was wondering if I could do this with mine. My GPU is: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/CwVG3C/gigabyte-geforce-rtx-2080-super-8-gb-aorus-video-card-gv-n208saorus-8gc Thanks.

I went really budget with my build and its got a fx8350, 8 gigs ddr3 hyper x fury, not sure what the mobo is but im 100% its the card seeing as my friend has everything the same but a 1050ti insteaf of this shit. When i launch skyrim, the launcher sets everything to ultra settings, when i go into the game i get about 30 seconds of playing before it drops to 2 fps and my screen gets covered in a checkerboard pattern of green and purple dots. Note that I have the latest updates installed. This SAME thing is happening with even minecraft on lowest settings. Ive watched the thermals and I'm having no issues there so its not thermal throttling at all. When getting the graphics drivers it prompted me to get MSI afterburner, so ive been desperately trying to use that to find if its the automatic OC or anything like that, ive dropped it, overclocked it, maxed the fan out, I'm not sure if its the individual card or anything, it says that it supports direct x 12 and java installed with no issues. Ive had the pc finished for a while but just moved out or my parents house so ive been too busy to really do much with it, I'm at a complete loss for what to do, to the point where i might just try to part out the PC or sell it to someone else for it to be their issue. After the screen gets all pixelated or whatever, the game that its trying to run crashes. But not a complete crash because it stays open but almosy in a pergatory until i force it closed with task manager. The entire screen has this green and purple thing for like 5 seconds before going black and coming back but with the game screen as just white, even in windowed mode, and occasionally the screen has weird effects that make it seem like a tube tv or static as long as the game stays open in windowed. I ended up trying csgo, and LOL but both had no luck either and did the exact same thing.

This is regarding PUBg, I have been playing this game for a while now. And I've been having an issue with my game crashing constantly. Intel i7-4770k (no overclock) 2 980ti Classifieds from EVGA in SLI (no overclocked) 16gb GDDR3 of ram EVGA 1000 watt PSU 144hz ASUS monitor and a second 4K Samsung panel It's always random in game when I crash, sometimes the game crashes to the desktop which enables me to send a crash report, sometimes my 4k monitor will go black before the game on my 144hz monitor crashes, sometimes the game will crash and it freezes my whole computer forcing me to hold the power button for a hard shut down.... I've tried wiping all video drivers and re-installing them, and I've done a complete wipe of PUBg with a fresh install on that as well... I have no Idea what to do and could really use some help....

My PC which I custom built almost 3 years ago was working PERFECTLY fine until like 3 days ago when I let my younger brother go on it as he wanted to play CSGO. He launched a comp match and all was working fine until a couple of minutes in to the game when the PC just crashed and turned off he then powered it on and after launching CSGO the same thing happened the 4th time it happened he said the PC refused to turn on so when I came and checked it out nothing seemed off but the power button was not working and then I turned off the PSU. I made sure NO power was going to the PC by making sure the small LED on the MOBO and GPU turned off then when I powered the PC and it turned on fine and I even used for the like 6-7 hours straight watching youtube and browsing the web and watching movies and stuff. I didn't really notice anything wrong with the PC. The next day my brother thought the PC was fine so asked to play CSGO again and I let him and the EXACT SAME THING happens but this time instead of happening a few minutes after playing a match it happened as soon as the map loaded (and also now every time the PC crashes as a result the power button doesn't work so I have to totally make sure no power is getting to the PC before I can press the power button for it to turn on). I decided to check if the problem was happening with other games and when I launched GTA V it happened too and when I launched The Witcher 3 I had problems too (old games such as GTA III and VC and games that were hardly demanding at all seemed to be working totally fine without crashing my PC) I noticed this problem is ONLY happening if I play a game and my PC fans ramp up noticeably in sound and speed as long as I can notice my PC fans increase in speed and noise output at all from stock speeds and sounds and I happen to be in a game my PC is likely to crash. I have never had this issue before and to me it seems like it could be some sort of safety mechanism on my motherboard that goes a bit too far specs i7 7700K Asus ROG Strix z270H Asus ROG Strix RX480 8GB Corsair 16GB 3200Mhz CL16 2x8GB RAM CPU cooler is Corsair H115i

Hi there, I've just recently found out that for some reason my GPU keeps on hitting 100% when playing a video or using other applications and then crashes. I think it might be a fault with the motherboards PCIE slot but I'm not sure. I've tested it out on my RTX 2070 Super as well as my GTX 1060 and I get the same problem. Here are my specs: Ryzen 9 3900x Corsair Vengance DDR4 16GB 3000Mhz RTX 2070 Super FE & GTX 1060 6GB Msi Aorus Elite X570 Motherboard HX850i Corsair PSU All are running clock speeds, the only thing that I had installed recently was the CPU and motherboard and the issue only started occurring after installation. I've done a clean install of Windows as well as GPU drivers and BIOS however the system wont boot up if the latest BIOS is installed.
