Occasionally, I experience audio clips and sudden loss of sound from my speakers. Strangely, my microphone continues to function properly during these episodes. All of my audio devices, including speakers and microphones, are connected to my Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 (3rd Gen) audio interface. Interestingly, when I adjust the buffer size in the Focusrite 2i2 settings, the audio returns to normal. Any solutions? Hello everyone, I've been encountering some perplexing issues with my audio setup recently, and I'm hoping to seek your expertise in resolving them. Here's a breakdown of my configuration: Audio Equipment: Headphones: Audio Technica ATH-M30x Speakers: F&D HT 330 Microphone: Maono AU-A03 Condenser Microphone Sound Card: Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 (3rd Gen) Additionally, here's a list of USB-connected devices on my PC: Logitech G102 Mouse Glorious Model O Wireless Mouse Focusrite 2i2 (Audio Interface) Logitech C920 Webcam USB to Ethernet Adapter (for internet connection) Keychron K10 Keyboard Rapoo V600S Controller Dongle Notably, none of these components are directly connected to my PC; they all route through the Focusrite Scarlett 2i2. I've also taken the precaution of disabling two other devices in my Device Manager to prevent any interference: the Logitech C920 webcam (which can pick up audio) and the Asus VG248QG monitor (which can produce sound). Here are the specific issues I've been facing: 1. Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 Troubles: On occasion, my Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 ceases to function, resulting in a complete loss of audio. This means I can't hear anything, whether it's through my headphones or speakers. 2. Microphone Problems in Discord: When I join a stream on Discord, my microphone mysteriously stops working, unless I disable the "echo cancellation" feature in Discord. Furthermore, even when I'm watching someone else's stream on Discord, my microphone fails to function in other applications like Google Meet on Google Chrome. These issues cropped up after I recently reinstalled Windows a couple of weeks ago. I suspect that some settings may have been inadvertently altered during the reinstallation process. Okay, so my detailed hardware info is as below: CPU Primary: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 Motherboard Primary: Asus ROG Strix B450-F RAM Primary: G.Skill Trident Z Royal RGB 16GB (2X8GB) DDR4 3600MHz GPU Primary: ZOTAC GAMING GeForce GTX 1660 Super Twin Fan 6GB Case Primary: Gamemax Rockstar 2 Storage Primary: Gigabyte 120GB SATA SSD, Samsung 870 EVO 500GB SSD, Toshiba 1TB (7200 RPM) & Seagate Barracuda 1TB (7200 RPM) PSU Primary: Corsair CV550 550Watt 80 Plus Bronze Certified Display(s) Primary: ASUS VG248QG (24”, Full HD, 0.5ms, overclockable 165Hz) & Xiaomi Redmi 21.45" FHD (60Hz) Cooling Primary: AMD Wraith Prism Keyboard Keychron K8 Mouse Primary: Glorious Model O Wireless & Logitech G102 Sound Headphones: Audio Technica ATH-M30x, Speakers: F&D HT 330, Sound Card: Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 (3rd Gen), Microphone: Maono AU-A03 Condenser Microphone Operating System Windows 10 Professional

I bought an AT2020 and a Scarlett Solo Gen 3 in July, and I've been having consistent issues with the volume level. I should be getting plenty of phantom power from the Scarlett (48V is on), yet my mic is still whisper quiet, even with all my system volume settings to max, speaking into the right side of the microphone, speaking close enough to the microphone, and gain set to a comfortable ~70%. Drivers are all up to date, and all my hardware is new and in good condition. I think it may be a Windows driver issue, or maybe a faulty XLR cable, but I really don't know for sure what the issue is and it's becoming very frustrating.

Hi all, I am currently having some odd issues with my interface and its interactions with software. When monitoring audio through windows listen to device feature and through the interfaces direct monitoring. The audio i hear is fine with no cut outs. However, When I use software like discord or in games e.g. overwatch and VRChat it seems my audio will cut out every second or so at semi regular intervals. This is a problematic as no one can hear me half the time. I have tried adjusting the sampling rate from 44.1 to 48 and 192KHz however, it doesn't help the situation. I have tried migrating from USB 2.0 to 3.0 to 3.1 ports all of which being on the back of my motherboard and this as well seems to have no affect on the mic quality. Help appreciated thanks.

Hey guys. I'm hoping someone could help me diagnose a BSOD error (PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA) - mainly caused by the Focusrite 2i2 audio interface. If I unplug it, then I get no BSOD. PC Specs: OS - Windows 10 Home x64 Built in - 2013 CPU - i7 4790k GPU - Nvidia Geforce 760 Motherboard - Gigabyte Z87X-UD5H PSU - Corsair RM750 Desktop 16gb DDR3 RAM Things I've tried so far: Reinstalled Windows 10 on the same SSD. Reinstalled Windows 10 on a different SSD & HDD. Swapped memory from a working PC. Tried a different cable from the Scarlett Focusrite 2i2 to the PC. Tried different USB ports (2.0 and 3.0). Tried uninstalling & reinstalling the focusrite drivers (downloaded from focusrite's website). Disabled USB selective suspend setting in Control Panel. Reset BIOS to default settings. Disabled fast boot in Bios. Disconnected every other peripherals. Hello, i've recently been having issues with my microphone. when i look at the interface of my Focusrite, the little ring around the gain button is constantly flicking green and then stopping and sometimes red, now the issue is that it's doing this when i'm not talking, there is no fan in the room either. it used to work perfectly fine untill one day randomly people couldn't hear me, or barely hear me at all. the only way for people to hear me was if i turned up the gain to around 9 or 10. and then started yelling. when opening discord and doing the audio test they have where it plays back what i say, i can constantly hear what sounds like static (becuase the gain is too high) but if i turn down the gain to what it used to be at (around 3-5) i cannot hear myself at all. since the issue i have tried to download the most recent driver (mine was out of date when it stopped working but getting the new one didn't fix it) i have bought an entirely new XLR cable and the same issue is still present. i have also tried using both of the interfaces, and the same issues appear when using either of them has anyone experienced something similar, or is able to guide me to figure out if the issue is with the microphone itself or the Scarlet 2i2, i would hate having to spend 150$ on a new audio interface only to realaize the issue is my microphone

So. I record a podcast with my 3 of my buddies. At this point it's just random conversations. Got a FocusRite Scarlett 18i8 (4 XLR inputs), 4 dynamic mics with stands and pop filters, XLR cables, and the necessary stuff to hook up the FocusRite to protools on my M1 MacBook Air. I plug my AKG K361 headphones into the 1st of the 2 headphone outputs, and hit record and we just go. But I have this problem where during recording, I can only hear 2 of the mic inputs in my headphones. I don't know if it's just that the headphones only play stuff from channels 1 & 2 or what, but it's been a consistent problem. I can only hear 2 of our 4 mics during live recording in my headphones. It pretty important to me to have all of them, so I can set levels, turn people up, mute them etc. I don't know how to fix this. The issue could be in ProTools, or in the FocusRite settings app, but it's all a little more complicated than I know how to figure. Any ideas? Thanks guys!

Hello, First time posting so I hope I get this right. I have had the hardest time connecting my oculus quest 2 to my PC since I got it, some days it would work great, others it wouldn't work at all, and recently it stopped working entirely. I tried lots of different things but in the end I unplugged every USB device from my PC, Tested, and it worked fine. I then proceeded to plug everything back in one at a time till it stopped working again. I have narrowed it down to my Scarlett Focusrite solo being the issue, as long as thats plugged in, regardless of which USB port its plugged into, the oculus will not connect to my PC via oculus link. So here is my question. is this a USB bandwidth issue? a power issue? or an audio issue? I'd like to elaborate on that last one if I may in the past when the oculus would SOMETIMES connect, it was often without desktop audio, I would go into my audio settings and disable and re-enable the oculus audio and that would sometimes work. I also notice that the little green bar in the sound settings would be half green, suggesting there was some constant audio coming through that channel. My specs are as follows MOBO: MSI A320m pro-m2 vs GPU: GTX1070 CPU: Ryzen 2600 Ram: 16GB 2400hz PSU: (I think) Corsair 600watt bronze something something something, If it turns out thats super important I will pull the side off and look. I do have an inexpensive USB3 card plugged in but not in use as well. any insight on what might be going on is welcome. Thank You

I'm using a Scarlett 2i2 Focusrite interface in a computer to broadcast in a radio station in substitution for a late Maudio delta LT1010. The micro runs Windows 10. The problem is that after a few hours later the sound starts becoming robotic, as if a lack of energy occur. It happens several times and require restarting the computer. Any Ideas?

I am going to be getting the scarlett solo preamp for an AT2020 in a couple weeks, and i was wondering to anyone that actually has it, can you play music through the 6.25mm jack that is supposed to be for instruments while using the XLR for a mic?

Hello! What do I need to have a working sudio microphone setup? Microphone (AT2020), microphone stand (Likeaboss MS-15), an XLR-Cable (Supra XLR-XLR), a Popfilter (Vocaltone APF-1), Mixer (Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 2nd Gen) Is that everything I need? Thank you!

I'm really keen to get this, however I keep hearing about driver issues with Windows 10. Can anybody update on whether there are still major problems with this, or have most of them been fixed?

I'm having a strange issue with my Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 on my 4,1 Mac Pro; whenever I attach my iPhone to my mac via USB, I can hear the data transferring through my audio interface and thus speakers. I'm aware that this could be a grounding issue, or shared buss issue. But how can I circumvent this? Will adding a seperate PCI-E USB adapter solve these kinds of issues?

I'm looking into buying an audio interface that would serve my mic mostly, but speakers and headphones as well. So far probably the best deal I've come across was the Focusrite Scarlett Solo. What do you think, and do you have any suggestions?

Just a quick question, are you able to adjust the volume slider in windows? Or only change volume through the physical knob? Currently I'm using a dj controller as my audio interface and the volume bar in windows is locked to 100%, Just wondering if this would be any different with a Focusrite interface. Thanks.

Can the Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 be used to mix audio from my PC (system audio) and an external audio source (stereo) to be fed out via the two balanced TRS outputs on the back of the 2i2? Here is my use case: I want to mix audio from my PC and a Chromecast Audio. I would like to think that I can hook up the Chromecast Audio, using a 3.5 mm TRSF to Dual 1/4 inch TS Stereo Breakout Cable, to both of the front mono inputs of the 2i2. The main reason I am considering this piece of kit over a standard mixer like the Behringer Xenyx 502 is because the 2i2 offers balanced TRS outputs and has an internal DAC. Currently, the only DAC I have is a Fiio K1, or I could try using the audio solution built into my PC's motherboard. I want to hook up the output of the 2i2 to a pair of JBL LRS305 speakers.

I have been looking into a way to get into the realm of xlr mics and I think that I have settled on the rode podmic and the focusrite scarlett solo. Through my research I have ran into the problem of this dynamic microphone imputing a very quite connection and needing a large enough db of gain. The scarlett solo says it provides up to 56db but I'm not sure if this is enough. Alternatively there are condenser mics but sense I don't have any control over the sounds outside of my room they are a little out of the question. I just want to know if the gain provided by the scarlett solo would be enough for nice, clean audio, thanks.

I want to see if I can't dabble in xlr audio and the Rode Podmic and Focusrite Scarlett Solo (3rd Gen) are two pieces of hardware I have kinda landed on. Since I know next to nothing about any serious audio, I have to ask, will these to things work will together. When I've been doing my research online I hear somethings about the Podmic being sort of quite and was curious if the Scarlett solo can handle that alright with its preamp.

Hey Communtiy, recently i had to rebuild my pc in another room, so i unpluged everything to rebuild it in there. Everything went fine until i tested my RodeNt1a. I discovered that the sensivity went from normal to i have to scream to hear me. My question is now how do i reset it ?! I didn't change anything and I don't think that something broke. Hopefully you know how to fix it! Thankfully Flonsen

Hello everyone, I need the help of the many knowledge-able people on this forum; I am thinking about purchasing a second hard-drive and 'infecting' it with Mac OS in order to use Logic Pro X along with a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 to somewhat shoddily record guitars. Regardless, more to the point, if anyone who has experience with using Bootcamp and has useful information that would be really really helpful. For example, do you have to use a partition or can you opt to use two separate hard-drives per operating system? Also, I was wondering if my Scarlett would work on either operating system, without having to rejig everytime, or would that be reserved for MAC OS only. Other than that i'm 100% new to the idea of Bootcamp so fire away. Cheers!

I recently bought a new pair of AVE Fusion 5 speakers to play through my focusrite 2i2. I also plug my m50x's into the headphone jack, which would then direct the output to my headphones. I just booted my pc and speakers made some unordinary popping sounds and then a focusrite driver and another driver downloaded when i got to the desktop and now when i plug my headphones in the audio plays through both the speaker and headphones? Is there a fix for this issue? thanks.

I have maybe a silly question regarding the Focusrite Saffire Pro 24. They have discontinued the DSP version, but it looks like the new Pro 24 still has DSP? Can anyone help me with this? lol
