Recently finished building my computer, It booted into the bios, code Ab, so I plugged in my mouse and keyboard and the motherboard code b4 came up and even after unplugging them b4 still hung, I looked in the manual and its for "usb hot plug". I re plugged in my usb connectors (3.2 gen 1 and 2) and got the code again, plugged them into my motherboard usb rather than my case usb and still got it. Even with the b4 error code the mouse an keyboard still work fine. I've been sitting on an msi support ticket for 3 days with the only answer being "what's your bios version" (which I already provided), tried the live chat and just got redirected to the forums (0 results) I asked reddit, and got nothing Is there a fix? should I just ignore it? is this normal? I've had my pc build for the last 4 days. 20240104_182943.mp4

Hey, I'm back again and with another problem, I'm trying to work out how to move my word, PowerPoint basically everything inside of Microsoft 365 office etc... Obviously standing in my way is windows 10 and it's 'clever' error codes reading: We couldnt move word. Error code 0x80073d0b. I've looked online for solutions and so far I've disabled EFS, NTFS and I reset Microsoft store. My problem now is that it is still happening. So now I'm trying to get some extra help to solving this issue. Many thanks, Fire

I've tried reinstalling windows today on my raid0 configuration formed by two m.2 970 500GB evo drives but I've gotten many issues with it. As soon as I tried installing windows on the unmounted drive, I got error message 0xC0000005, after i tried mounting the drive and formatting to ntfs and making sure it was GPT, but as as a mounted drive it says "we couldn't create a new partition or locate an existing one. For more information see the Setup log files." after that I've even tried deleting the raid configuration, and installing windows on a single drive, I've tried both, neither of them worked. I've also tried every "fix" i could find whilst looking up the error messages i got but nothing fixed it. I've reset my motherboard's CMOS and nothing. Now I'm desperate :I I'm currently using 32 GB 3200 MHz (4x8) ddr4, I7 9700k Please, anyone who even think they MIGHT know anything that could help, reply to this thread.

I've had the ASUS ROG Strix X470-F Gaming motherboard for a few years now. It's been a solid board but it's always been plagued by this one issue and it's VERY random. Every once in a blue moon, my monitors will go dark, completely black like my PC is off, even though it's not and my Keyboard, mouse, stream deck will be completely blacked out, unresponsive. Tonight I noticed that I had a flashing Yellow DRAM LED that would quick flash on and off. This is the first time I have noticed this issue happening and have often ignored it thinking it was just a quirk of the board but now it's been happening a little more often. I have DOCP enabled but never ran into errors with the memory as it normally acts just fine. Do I have a dying motherboard here that needs replacing? Motherboard: Asus ROG Strix X470-F Gaming Bios Version: 5851 CPU: AMD Ryzen 2700 Ram: Corsair Vengeance RGB, OC-ed to 3000Mhz GPU: EGVA RTX 3060 12GB, OC-ed. PSU: EVGA 750watt G3. I also have a lot of USB I/O plugged into my computer as I used to a lot of streaming. And as I said, this is a random issue that barely happens that often. Yes I know I could run memtest86, but the last I ran that, I don't recall it having any memory issues. I could always run it again but I wanted suggestions before I start doing testing like that and waste time troubleshooting. EDIT UPDATE: I've been running memtest86 for 6 hours now. Memtest is reporting 79 errors in a series of 2 passes of the whole 32GB of ram. I think it's more so the motherboard because I have had this issue since I got the motherboard where it would black screen for no reason, but I plan to check 1 slot and 1 stick of ram at a time. But I really need some ideas from anyone that has experienced this error of a quick flashing yellow light after the computer has been sitting fine for a few hours. I also plan to call Asus and ask them what they think it might be. Any helpful feedback would REALLY be appreciated right now!

Hey everyone, I have a big problem with my PC. CPU: Intel i7-4790k CPU-Cooler: Corsair H150i Pro RGB GPU: Asus ROG Strix 2080 Super OC Mainboard: Asus Maximus VII Hero RAM: Kingston HyperX Fury DDR3, 2x8GB + 2x4GB PSU: Corsair RM750x Samsung 970 Pro + some WD HDDs I was playing a game (Elite Dangerous) and watching a youtube video on another monitor when suddenly the game froze. A few seconds later and the video froze as well.I couldn't do anything. I couldn't tab-out, I couldn't open task manager, nothing. I shut it down by holding the power button, but now it won't turn on again. It just starts up, 5/6 case fans start spinning at 100% speed, it shows code "00 or D0" (there is not really any way to differentiate between a "D" and a "0"), and shuts down. After that it goes into a bootloop where it repeats aforementioned steps until I flip the PSU switch. I can't even get into the BIOS. I also can't see any obvious damage (e.g. burn marks). Also, with each bootloop I can hear my PSU make a sound like it clicks a switch. Twice. Ones at the "beginning" of the loop, and another time with the "end" of the loop. D0 would be CPU initialization error, 00 isn't used - according to the manual. That makes D0 the more likely option. Does this mean my CPU is dead? ETA: thanks to Middcores comment it's now clear that it is error code 00 (a code that the manual says isn't used) A direct replacement isn't that easy or cheap to get, so that would mean a complete CPU/MB/RAM combo, which is something I wanted to wait with for the AM5 socket next year... What I've done so far: Changed CMOS battery Tried booting with 0 RAM sticks to try to get another error code Tried booting with 1 RAM stick to check if my RAM is faulty Tried removing all peripherals besides mouse/keyboard, unplugging the HDDs so that only the 970 Pro is available as the only drive (it's the boot drive), removed the GPU so that it could use the onboard graphics from my cpu (also plugged the monitor into MB hdmi port) Tried using a differen CPU cooler (old bequiet air-cooler) - yes, I know it doesn't make much sense, but I'm running out of ideas... Disassembled an resassembled the whole thing. Is there anything else I could try? Thanks in advance for your help.

Hello, I thought I was hearing some weird fan noises from my PC, so I decided to hit the case lightly - see if it will resolve the issue. xD The moment I hit the case - instantly BSOD happened with the error IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL. Good to mention that I wasn't doing anything demanding during this incident - just some youtube. Specs: CPU: Xeon E31230 16 GB ram mobo: Asrock p67 Extreme 6 GPU well thats the problem. Let me explane i made this PC 4-5 year ago. It worked fine until a month ago when I got a new one. I just didn't want to throw it away because it's a sin so I gave it to my sister to play CS:GO and minecraft together. I had an old GT 730 lying around as a GPU, but you couldn't really play CSGO with it. So yesterday I got a 2nd hand RX 570. So I put it in. But I get an error code on the screen on my mobo. Nothing at all on my screen via HDMI. Error code was B7 before which means no mouse/keyboard detected. So plugged it in and rebooted. But then I get the code A3 or A6 when I press DEL during the A3 code. WHAT SHOULD I DO. Already swapped the GPU but that didn't help PLEAS HELP

So I've had my pc for about a year and have had no problems untill now, turned the power for the PSU off at the wall (something I rarely do) as I was going away for a few days, and now that I've returned I turned it back on at the wall and turned it on. The RGB lit up but keyboard did not and didn't put to screen. I look at the q codes in the mobo screen and it goes through its usual start up codes and then gets hung up on memory and alternates codes B7 and BD twice and then resets and tries to start again. I have tried every combination of moving the ram to all 8 of the slots and trying all the ram sticks individually in every combination and to no luck. Has my ram died? I struggle to understand how it could have died from me turning the pc off and the ram is only about 9 months old, any help would be great. TL;DR In my haste to get back up and running from a mysterious code that appears upon power on of a sandy bridge system; I ordered a Skylake component list; then to find out that the issue may not be that big [I need forum help on this part] Should I return the Skylake parts? Does this issue have some kind of stability implications? Lately my current system has been pretty unreliable and weird - i5-2500K on a MSI B75 P45 Corporate Stable Model Motherboard - Build date Sep 30 - 2013 A code 99 appears at the bottom right of the screen and lasts enough time for me to lose momentum on the work I do - I freelance - multiple browsers - million tabs open, skype, google docs, video, graphics, sound editing, database building etc - the machine is just an all round work horse. When the code first appeared, I couldn't find a direct answer to what exactly it meant - today I found a few posts on this forum dated 2015 that discussed the issue. Here and Here - this forum post contains a link to the MSI forum where it was indicated by a mod that 99 for MSI meant - "Super I/O initialization" and the forum post went on to add no more than "if its skipping them all quickly its fine!" Before I found this little bit of info, I had already put the system through a battery of troubleshooting tests - tested each stick of ram in each slot one at a time and tested states with and without GPU, SSD, USB, Front Panel etc. The tests revealed that the DIMM3 and DIMM4 slots when occupied, would not allow the PC to boot - this was unrelated to 99 however because....... The code still appears and persists for solid periods of time - therefore based on the MSI post "it is not fine" Amidst all this confusion - I placed an order on components for a replacement Skylake build [migration from Sandy Bridge] - but here I am making this post on the mysterious 9-code-spewing-system [it boots into windows...eventually] - what am I to do here - I'd be burning significant bank if I go ahead and keep the Skylake parts and start from scratch with a new set of unknown variables ----- or I can try to get to the bottom of shady 99 and understand if that's fixable OR I can just trash this system and fully migrate to Skylake on the hope that I will have a system that's going to last me 1000 years and enable me to earn a damn living. Here goes: Should I cancel that order ? - tell me why Can this issue be fixed? Should I put up with a stalled boot for 20 minutes each time I have to boot up again and chug along until a new build is ABSOLUTELY NEEDED?

Today I was playing around with some of the RGB settings for my motherboard and my whole computer just crashed. When I tried to reboot, my motherboard kept cycling through a series of Debug Codes ending with "E3" and the DRAM indicator turning on. It then recycles through the same debug code and never actually outputs any display. I've looked everywhere but I can't seem to find out what is causing this, and/or how to fix it. I've also contacted Gigabyte Support, but have yet to hear back, so I would appreciate any help that the community would be able to give! Basically this is what happened. I replaced the TIM on my brothers 770 (Asus direct CU 2 if it matters) and plugged it back in. During that time I also unplugged and plugged back in the front usb. When I went to boot it would only go to the BIOS and the keyboard/mouse didn't connect. After resetting the CMOS battery I was able to get the peripherals working but I've had no luck on the getting past BIOS front. I read on a tweaktown article that error 64 can be fixed by loosening the cpu cooler so I tried that (Noctua D14) But it didn't help. I need some help here, can't think of anything else @Droidbot @CUDA_Cores @Energycore Appreciate any help/advice.

Hello everyone, I'm sorry for the noob questions and formatting. I'm new to the website and posting in general. Please don't judge me too hard on my new build, I was on a budget. Background info I recently, as in three days ago, built a new computer. My old computer was around four years old; it did not have PCI Express 3.0, and the CPU was an AMD Phenom II. I successfully did a test boot, on the new computer, to ensure nothing was damaged during shipping or damaged during the building process. Since I was on a budget, I decided to reuse some of my old computer parts. Specifically, I reused the hard drives and the optical drive. Problem When I got around to installing Windows 10 from a flash drive, the install would go smoothly, until I got to the "Getting Files Ready for Install" screen. Every time I reached 70+%, the install would crash, and the error code 0x8007025D would come up. I looked up reasons why this code would come up and I received anything from the Windows ISO is corrupted to RAM issues. My motherboard recognizes the RAM at the UEFI. Also, I used Microsoft's media creation tool to redownload Windows 10 ISO on a different flash drive but still got the same issue. Question Is this a hardware problem? Is it because I am reusing my HDD from my old computer? Or is it because it is a new built I need to type in a Windows 10 key at the beginning of the install? New computer Specs Price: $669 (U.S. Dollars) CPU: Intel Core i5-6600K w/ Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo cooler. Hi everyone, So, I have build a new pc (specs below). Shortly after building it, I started it and it worked fine. The next day I started it again and it didn't boot. It got stuck at code "E0". I tried the following: I removed the GPU Then I reset the CMOS Then I removed all RAM sticks except for one Then I reset the CMOS Then I removed all drives Then I reset the CMOS Afterwards it worked. Then I reconnected everything and it still worked. I tried restarting the pc a couple of times and it still worked. After a couple of hours I tried to turn it on, but still the same error. I even tried to swap the RAM for other, still no result. So at the moment I'm a bit desperate, because I wouldn't know, what could be the problem. The strange thing is, that the hardware was working fine. Here the specs: i7 9700K 4x8GB Corsair Vengeance Pro RGB DDR4 3000MHz Corsair H150i Pro RGB AiO liquid cooler (Maybe this causes also a problem) MSI MEG Z390 ACE (It has two 8-pin CPU connectors) Corsair RM850 PSU Samsung M.2 NVMe SSD Samsung SATA SSD general HDD I would be grateful if you had some idea what I could try next, or what could cause this problem. Thank you, Matthias

Hiya guys. Yesterday, me and a friend of mine decided to take apart my PC, clean it and then replace the fans, and add an AIO Water cooler. After all this, we booted the PC up and windows launched. We monitored temps and we then did a fresh install of Windows. After the fresh install, the PC was booting fine. It would go through everything and I could access windows. However I left some residue files from one drive on my main drive which I wanted to get rid off so wanted to do another install. Before I did my 2nd fresh install (which I wanted to install on my NVME m.2 drive), I had overclocked my CPU to 4.0 GHz at 1.35 V and overclock my 2 RAM sticks which was originally 2667 MHz which I was able to get to 3200MHz which I was able to keep stable during a cinebench run. So after all this overclocking, I did another fresh install. But during this install I was getting the error code 0x8007025d, which was saying "Windows cannot install required files. Make sure that all files required are available and restart the installation. Error code 0x8007025d" The steps I have taken to try and fix this so far have been: 1. Download a new media key on my USB to try and get windows downloaded. 2. Remove all sata cables from my other drives and keep the m.2 as the only thing plugged in 3. Tried to access the repair my computer in the windows download bit but to no avail. I'm kinda out of options to decide as I cannot figure out for the life of my why this is doing this. If anyone can help me at all, or even tell me if a tech company can sort this out I don't mind paying either for a tech company to fix this I just can't figure out what to do. EDIT: found the problem the ram 1 slot on the board is dead I am building a pc for my friend and I have just finished putting it together but I am getting error code beeps, the motherboard is a gigabyte h11om-h and we are getting continuous long beeps. All the fans are spinning up and staying on except for the gpu fans which switch on for a few seconds then spin down but that's normal I think I have tried booting without a gpu installed but get the same continuous long beeps so it's not the gpu I have tried with a single stick of ram and get the same error beeps, I have tried swapping the sticks around but get the same error so It could be the ram but I see it as unlikely I don't think it would be the cpu as apparently gigabyte boards don't even throw error beeps for the cpu and it just won't start Any help would be greatfull, thanks Erorr beeps attached VID_20181207_194835.mp4
