I'm currently looking for a used phone, because it makes no sense to me to pay over 500$ for a phone. Koodo is offering the Pixel 2 for 480$ over a 2 year contract (Large Tab) and the cheapest used Pixel 2 I found was 650$ and 2 hours drive away. I'm not really keen about contracts either, but I could actually take the contract and pay the phone right away. Is this really a good deal or there is something I don't know? I have been looking around and I can't seem to find a contract for the oneplus 3 anywhere in the UK. I was wondering is it not available at all with a contract instead of pay as you go or am I just stupid?

I've run into quite the issue. Let's take it from the top. Back in Spetember (~ 10 mo. ago) I had purchased an iPhone 5S that worked flawlessly until a month ago when it was completely submurged and I was not aware of it. It was in the night so in the morning I had picked it up to use it when it felt like how my iPhone 4 died (so hot it felt like it would melt). After tinkering around with it, I had found out that the battery had leaked and gotten into the components. For the past month I have been looking at Android phones because I have been wanting to switch (I'm not here for phone reccomendations). Anyway, I am locked into a 2-year contract on a family plan where no one is eligible for an upgrade. I've known for about 3 years that unlocked phones can be expensive, but you are able to do pretty much anything with it until a contract is signed. Listed below are some requirements that I have made. 1. Unlocked phone 2. It must replace the current phone on my line but not have anyhting like termination fees (minimal fees) 3. I would need a new SIM card Some questions I have are: 1. If I use the AT&T BYOP page (google it), will it add another line to my existing ones? 2. Will AT&T make me fork out tons on money to upgrade (if there is any extra fees, let me know [apprx cost would be appreciated.])? If there is any other advice you have, I'd really like to hear it! Company claims Apple is developing a large-scale battery division to compete Oh Apple, not the breach of contracts! It seems that in their desire to go hard on building out their car/battery/whatever empire, they might have stepped on some non-competes that prevented A123 employees from leaving. The interesting part? A123 had government backed funding BUT they are in bankruptcy, as my source quoted below says. Hey folks, Apologies if this post is in the incorrect place first time posting on LTT. Need some advice on Internet Data Packages for an EU Holiday. My family and I are going to Spain for a few weeks in September and there are some teenagers attending with us and they kids would like to be able to use their phones etc, the family are looking into possible solutions for Internet Access in the Villa we are staying in. I have looked into a few such as MiFi and Feel this may be the best route to take, but I am having trouble finding a good price for this and a plan for even a one off month usage. Does anyone here have any insight into this or have they used something like this before? Thanks for the advice!

Hi all. I have a phone upgrade coming up soon and don't know what to do :blink: I currently have a HTC 8x (windows phone) and love it but its time to upgrade. I was originally looking at the nokia Lumia 930 but the network three doesn't do the phone on contract so started to look at the LG G3 which in is £33 a month. however now the price of it has dropped to buy it out right and Sim free, so is cheaper in the long run to buy it then pay £15 a month on a sim only plan. But after thinking of the sim only plan I released I can do it with the Nokia Lumia 930 which is even cheaper to buy out right and would save me about £200 over 2 years compared to the £33 a month LG G3 Deal. Any one have any suggestions on what phone to get as I really do like windows phone but quite like the G3 as well. ** Forgot to say if I go sim only its a 1 year contract rather then 2 year**

I talked to Megan, from www.Sprint.com, and this is what she says.. I am elegable for Sprint Easy Pay Program.. So I don't have to buy out of contract, it's Sprints program for people that want a better phone, or if there phone screen cracked, that you can get a new phone in the middle of your contract. Down Payment, must pay off your existing phone if it wasn't free when you got into your current contract, & pay for the new phone for the next 24 months. Hey guys, So my contract with AT&T is now over and I would like to upgrade to new phone. I am pretty dead set on the iphone 6(please do not try and convince me of other devices). The question I have is, should I sign a contract and pick up the iphone 6 for discounted price, or find one on Craigslist and not sign contract? The reason this is in question is because AT&T has changed their plans, so when your contract is over, the price for data is discounted by like $25 a month. Let me know what you think.
