I think there's an important aspect to newegg's trade-in program that's being overlooked. As was discussed and seen on The Wan Show, the margins for these trade ins aren't that fat, and when you consider taxation, shipping cost, testing cost, warranty, and every other factor, it's not really as much of a money maker as it seems at first glance... However, as was also apparent on The Wan Show, some of these trade-in values aren't actually that far from the current selling price of these GPUs, which are still dropping. Why sell a GPU online for $120, and have to deal with flaky buyers, ebay fees, shipping, etc, when you can conveniently send it to Newegg and get $90 off your GPU purchase? Newegg has now secured a new GPU sale, for sure that's incentive, and they have another product to sell that they might even make some amount of money on. But more importantly, they now set the price. No longer is that GPU selling for $120 on ebay, and certainly, you won't see someone selling their GPU for $90 on ebay if they can get $90 from it through a much more convenient newegg program. The real reason Newegg is suddenly interested in new hardware is to keep GPU prices from further tanking. This is, I would wager, a strategy more to keep prices artificially high and control the market than it is to make a quick buck on some low-margin sales.

If I recall correctly, since October 2021's driver update combined with the latest vBios from your manufacturer, the Memory speed 19Gbps at a clock of 9500Mhz has been silently nerfed. I tried googling and resolving my issue but even DDU didn't fix it. The issue is no matter what I do, the memory will always do 9250Mhz at stock. When overclocked, it will always have this mysterious negative 250Mhz offset. Reinstalling the driver will temporarily fix the issue until your next non-fast boot restart. A fix I've been using till now is just to add another 250Mhz into my overclock. GPU-Z shows that my overclock targets 10750Mhz for an actual clock of 10500 in games. One google answer is: "It doesn't matter, barely a difference" but I would argue that it's an issue when the base Advertised specs say 9500Mhz, and they deliver 9250Mhz. Now I've asked around and it's either small pockets of isolated issues, or not everyone is tech savvy enough to check. The cause of the problem seems to be driver or vBios related. My card is the Strix Oc 3080 Ti with the latest vBios and driver. When using NvidiaInspector, it seems to be related to the P2 power state being triggered instead of P0. For unknown reasons, you cannot simply fix the P2 state as it automagically applies a 250Mhz negative offset compared to P0 which is the actual target memory speed it should have been applying. This leads me to suspect that my P0 state is simply unreachable, but also that I'm not alone in this issue and that the 250Mhz offset has been found by a few other users on the internet. One theory I have is that Nvidia implemented their LHR incorrectly and it is affecting the base operation of their cards. Another one is that due to a supply shortage of these cards, they're unwilling to handle RMAs and would like to lower the rate of RMAs via artificial limits to decrease the rate of failure. I would like to ask anyone with 3070 Ti or higher (using GDDR6X) to: check their speeds in game and post if you also have this issue or not confirm you're running latest vBios and drivers? Are you stock/overclocking? What your PC specs are My specs are: Windows 10 Pro 64bit build 19043 AMD 5950X PBO 4x8Gb DDR4 3800 Cl16 @Fclock 1900 X570 Dark Hero Motherboard Bios 3904 Asus Strix OC 3080 Ti Bios 94.02.71.00.49, Driver 511.79 Target Memory Clock 10750, actual 10500 Resizable bar enabled

So I went to YouTube to watch a clip from WAN Show Dec 28, 2013. It's about the supposed connection between the NSA and bitcoin. It was completely distorted. The video is unrecognizable and the audio is muddy. Checked to see another video. Absolutely fine. Scrolled through the video and the preview of scrubbing is clear. Went into the comments. I'm not the only one who's had this issue. The whole video is affected. Just doing research. Sha 256, the encryption algorithm of bitcoin, is made by NSA. If NSA has an efficient reverse algorithm it could be minting bitcoin through brute force. Bitcoin inventor, unknown. Just saying it's a little sus. Tin foil hat is on right now. I double layered on the aluminum. I've uploaded my proof Go on the video and tell me if you have the same issue. https://youtu.be/kbLR980w8yg 21-04-14-00-01-17.mkv

Here is the link to the article :https://www.extremetech.com/computing/246975-intel-ceo-admits-industry-wide-conspiracy-slow-cpu-advances-kill-frequency-boosts So this article pretty much confirms all my conspiracies not only against Intel but also w.r.t to Tech industry in general. It also explains how my i7 3770K works within 10% of my dads 6700K Also intel is not the only company Also the time line fits in perfectly with the last time, since we got any substantial IPC gains from team Blue Also as it turns out The good guy(Amd) tried standing up against the entire industry but they could not as this shit happened Now that AMD is back with Ryzen, we almost saw this strategy being reused Ps:any one seriously getting up in arms check the date

There were rumors about Dr. Lisa Su leaving AMD and going to IBM. She has come forward and claimed that rumor is not true. This obviously has everyone speculating on why would she leave AMD at this point when it's doing so well. but then I started thinking about the other important VIP's who have left to work for other companies over the years like Ryan Shrout a tech journalist CEO joining Intel along with many other VIP moving to Intel. All these tech VIP migrations are leading me to speculate WHAT IF all the tech companies are secretly working together to ensure that none of them fail because they know competition is important for thriving businesses. What if they are intentionally moving the smartest minds to the companies that are hurting the most in order to bring those companies back up off the floor and get them back on their feet. Now that AMD has gotten back on its feet, everyone's flocking to Intel trying to save them from falling. and IBM has been declining in the market for the past 3 years so perhaps there is talk of moving tech VIP's over to IBM in order to help keep them afloat. At the end of the day we are all tech nerds who want to see great things happen with technology. We want to see innovation and improve performance staying cool and using less power! It wouldn't surprise me if the tech giants are working together to achieve the same goals using different methods! But that's just a theory, a crazy Terry theory, thanks for listening :P

Let's play a game. I've noticed recently that quite a few videos have an Easteregg of sorts in them -- cleverly placed dickbutts (these things - ) somewhere in the video, sometimes multiple in a single pause frame. I'd like to know just how many times this has occurred in the history of the LTT channel. For those wishing to participate in the conspiracy, I ask for two things: the title of the video the dickbutt was found in and a screenshot of it in the video with location noted if not obvious (or screenshots if multiple in the same video). Oh, and the painting above Colton's desk counts, too -- hopefully an LMG staffer will get in on it and post that one for us. Apple REFUSED to Fix our iMac Pro Left monitor screen - wine bottle; Bottom of fire extinguisher in background. Good luck and may moderated chaos reign over this post in hope in gets a mention on the WAN Show. Oh and if you haven't done so already, join the LTT Discord for more me.

I am starting to suspect AMD actually have done this: Lets face it the majority of gamers did not want it, reviewers trashed it and miners & Apple are willing to pay for the Frontier Edition even if the Prosumers would not so what do they got to lose at only selling the Frontier Edition? Gamers abandoned AMD now we are all royally screwed, if AMD no longer will sell them to gamers what will stop Nvidia from pricing their cards 2 or even 3 times as much? Anyone still got hope for 7nm Vega chips? I do not...

I just would like to know your opinion about DDR4 prices, as I believe all of you know since last year we had a huge spike in DDR4 prices, here in Italy the price has doubled, the causes for this were at first found in a supposed agreement between ram manufacturers to stop competing on prices and after in the shortage nor NAND flash that caused a lack of availability of the memory. It has been an year know and, at least for what I have seen, nothing as changed. If I recall correctly I have seen in a wan show from some time ago a news regarding the construction of new chains of production for the production of memory that should start the production in early 2018, if that is true, fact check me on this one because I'm going by heart and I'm not sure about it, do you believe that we will see a drop of the pricing or that the manufacturers will catch the occasion of this long time of overpricing to make the price increase permanent? Let me hear your opinions.

Soooo..... My favourite game probably ever is Command and Conquer: Generals. Its a great game, 2003, and its only expansion is 2004. Its 20 bucks for the C&C collection of 19 games on origin. But that's not important. What IS important is that I Have literally grown up playing that game. Since it came out when I was three, I have owned it, and played it A LOT. Even through the struggles, working out how to make a 12 year old game with a crappy netcode work on windows 10 is absolute hell, but I got it, and it was worth it. I know the entire thing by heart, and I have a lot of strong childhood memories tied into it. BACK ON TOPIC. The basic plotline, is that in 2013, a terrorist leader was assassinated. His name was Dr. Thrax, and he was the supreme leader of the arab terrorists. When he died, there was a power scuffle, and the resulting terror force was called the GLA (Global Liberation Army). The GLA proceeded to fight in Syria, Egypt, Somalia, Iran, Kazakhstan, and a few other middle eastern countries, before setting its sights on Europe. It invades Europe, and Europe is unable to deal with the threat, so they basically pretend its all k, while the US provides ineffectual fire-support. Simultaneously, the GLA invade parts of china, and bomb a parade with a nuke. Then China goes to town and annihilates the GLA with incredible power. The end result, is that the US basically fails to protect Europe, Europe is almost razed, and China swoops in and saves the day. Forgive my lengthy explanation, but there are more than a few real life similarities. First, look at Bin Laden. IDC if you think he is really gone, or just hiding. The fact is, Osama Bin Laden was a kingpin, who held all the terror factions together. He was assassinated, and all of the sudden, there was a power vacuum. Isis emerged from the vacuum. Just like the GLA after Thrax was killed. Then the GLA invade Europe and do a huge amount of damage with terrorism. Just like the refugee crisis. Once again, it really doesn't matter what your opinion of the refugee crisis is, or how you politically align. There is no denying Charlie Hebdo, the theater hostage situation, Nice, Brussels, the catholic mass incidents, the list goes on. There are some terrorists doing dome bad things. Just like a 2003 game by EA predicted. Then the US pulled all their forces out of the middle east. Just like in Generals. Then Isis attacked China. Which happened IRL, when a chinese embassy was bombed and Isis took responsibility. Then the GLA gained bio-weapons, but not any bio-weapons, they had SCUD missiles. Incidentally, Isis has a supply of SCUD missiles, and flaunts them on twitter. Then the US failes to back Europe. Just like in Generals, which also semi-accurately predicted the attack on a US-supplied airfield by GLA (Isis) supported militants. Generals also predicted, this one is reach just a bit, Iran getting hold of WMD missiles, or in real life, Iran getting hold of nuclear materials, which they are at this moment spinning into uranium 235. I hope someone appreciates this as much as I do. So many coincidences in one game, that all accurately predict the rise of Isis to power, blows my mind. I have grown up with this game, which is probably why its so remarkable to me, that almost 13 years after it's release, it predicts so much about the current events. If any of you have played C&C generals and have thought of any other similarities, please share. And give your thoughts.

Hey guys, a couple days ago I noticed all my Windows 7 machines are performing crazy bad in games compared to what they did not long before. For example, games like Minecraft etc. played with 200/300fps+ on max, now can barely play at 60fps on minimum. On both AMD and nVidia cards (HD7770 and a GT730). I have reformatted them both, reinstalled drivers, installed older vers., bla. Even my 590 is suddenly as slow as this too. Recording with dxtory forces the framerate down to 13-15, on both machines, a dualcore (e6550) and a quadcore (x3220). Even when recording to my SSD (Samsung 840), same result. Any ideas?

While watching the part about the GPU market share of Nvidia and AMD over the last few years made me think about #ramgate in a different light. What if Nvidia did it to get some people to consider buying a AMD? One my think they did it to strengthen AMDs position on the market, either out of fear regarding possible monopoly-lawsuits, or to not create a gap in the market where some more powerful "enemy" might arise. We may never know. But the timing of #ramgate may very well have given AMD the change to recover. Because whatever side you are on, we should all hope that AMD doesn't go out of business. What do you guys think?

So this restaurant in China scans your face and then has a panel of plastic surgeons rate you deciding if you are beautiful enough to eat free. As someone who has had things given to me or have gotten discounts because the clerk thought I was good looking I was unsure how I felt about this. It's not like it would be the first time a compony has tried to target their product to beautiful people as to make the 'beautiful wanna-bes' buy in. The morality of that kind of business model will likely forever be up for debate. But then I had a thought, what if they are trying to make it so beautiful people eat more and therefor, in theory loose their perceived "beauty" because they will order a appetizer and desert because it's free so why not. Like a secret plot to equalize everyones looks. -Original Article http://www.cnet.com/news/restaurant-scans-faces-lets-the-beautiful-eat-free/

This article caught my attention and certainly after reading a chain reaction of thoughts was triggered. I think it might do the same for you. The original article (i attached link to poor google translate from CZ to EN) talks about new technologies implemented in Broadwell. specifically the ones that allow the device that is 'turned off' or in 'deep sleep' to still listen for possible (voice) commands from it's master. Great, one might think...but what if the device records what you say at any time. Are you paranoid yet? I read/heard opinions that we might be moving into an era where privacy will mean way less than it does now. But where does it stop? Since I am not sure how much 'remote' control can be applied to features like this I cannot fully justify if this is legitimate threat to one's privacy or we have nothing to worry about. However it did leave a funny feeling in my tummy. Original source: https://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=cs&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Fdiit.cz%2Fclanek%2Fbroadwell-vypnuty-pocitac-posloucha

Good day ladies and gents, and please put on your tinfoil hats for this would be one conspiracy that just came to me... Also, pardon if this is in the wrong section since I'd like to put this in the foreground for a small amount of time... As we can remember Battlefield 3 became free on Origin last June. Since then, a lot of new players joined the crowd... Now, more than a month later, I've experienced and seen posts about drops in performance on this game. This topic is inspired by this thread... Now for the conspiracy part... With Battlefield 4 in full swing and Hardline coming soon, I think that EA is deliberately nerfing Battlefield 3 in an attempt to sway its install base, including especially those who got the game through Origin's "On The House", to abandon Battlefield 3 (whose servers would shut down quietly in the background), and move to Battlefield 4, while at the same time, increasing the hype for Hardline. My proof: Posts/topics regarding decreased performance of Battlefield 3 on hardware that should be more than capable of running the systsem. Please note that this is just a theory and should be taken with a grain of salt unless proven otherwise.
