I've heard of brands such as Seagate, Corsair, Razer, Origin, Asus, Etc. But I'm not really sure what ones I should use (or what ones I should avoid). Any suggestions?

Major Linus vibes. Context: people started an Xbox vs. PS argument on a Jacksepticeye meme. Love it. I really want Linus to see this ha ha.

I have this problem, I need to know whether I better should sell my first bought RTX 3090 which is an Inno3D iChiLL x4, OR nvlink that Inno3D with my second already bought Aorus Master. I am worried about - if the system will be stable or not - if there should be some drivers incompatibilities or any form of instability - Can I use a full 48GB VRAM system? - and if can join both cards hdmi and display ports which in total would be 10 (6+4) Should I sell the Inno3D or should I NVlink them? The thing about why I bought different brand cards is because a mistake, so blame on me for doing it, but I can still resell the Inno3D. I really like the Aorus master. On final note, I don't care if both cards clock speeds gets 'bottlenecked' or whatever speed problems, I just care about the VRAM and the ports and of course system stability. Thanks.

Hello, i’m new to the forum. i’ve been watching LTT for quite some time now. Thought joining the forum would be fun and positive. Apologies if i start topics or video requests sometimes out of curiosity. Anyone ever took apart the internals of different display brands out of curiosity to see how different they are from each other. Because i have been using a 5 year old used 1080p60 monitor from Philips and its still great while a friend of mine has been using a better curved IPS display which is cheaper and a relatively unknown brand called nvision and it is starting to have problems already. Is this just maybe in his situation. Don’t know why but local or unknown and cheap brands are becoming popular around my area and i have mostly stuck to the proven ones.

Hello everyone at LTT forums, i have heard of this wonderfull community full of knowledgeable people when it comes to computers. i would like to ask EVERYONE HERE some help, even if possible from the LTT crew themselves. You see, after many years experiencing problems with computers, everytime i buy a prebuild computer, there is always some unknown problem/failiures happening for no reason. i would like to change that once and for all. If possible, i would like to build a computer, that is only equipped with the BEST OF THE BEST when it comes to its components, we are speaking of durability, efficiency, speed, heat dispersion (especially heat), fast responsive future proofed components that can last for a long time. Screens and accessories such as headphone, mic, keyboard etc are welcome for the selection too! I plan to do a lot of different things with the computer but mainly 3D modeling / animations and playing AAA games with the best experience in minimal of 4K (competitive games such as warzone, apex and such are not in my greatest liking ) I am willing to go as far as building my own Rad desk to have my computer performance through the limits of possibilities. using PC part picker or other builder tools online would be of a great help for planning my build, so when it comes to components i would like to know their strengh and weaknesses. I live in canada so please if you are sharing links make sure they are in CAD currency if linked with prices! Ive been working on the project for a long time and i wanted to have an outside perspective of it. IF possible, ONLY IF POSSIBLE, have a wireless build. thank you everyone for your support, i cannot wait for your ideas and have a lovely day ^^

i am currently planning on buying/replacing my ram on my pc i currently use a cheap ram from an obscure brand that maybe the north american market never heard of, but on indonesian market it is relatively known (Klevv) i want to replace my 8x2 kit to a 16x2 kit. brands like corsair usually goes for 140 usd here, but brands like adata or klevv sells it for for 40 usd less https://www.tokopedia.com/enterkomputer/adata-ddr4-xpg-spectrix-d41-grey-pc25600-3200mhz-32gb-2x16gb is it worth it?

People always say that the only difference between H-series & B-series motherboard is the features. But they won't talk about the component quality. (I had two old h61 motherboards, which died in a year or two. It started random restarts & I finally found that the power IC is damaged on both. During that time I researched on internet and found that this issue was so common in the old H-series motherboard. But today nobody is reporting any motherboard problems like shutdowns or random restarts for the low-end models like before.) Doesn't this means that companies now use quality components on all their models?

So I've been searching for new monitors, and I've seen a lot of reviews that says under every monitor that it's defective and they usually can't return or replace it. I don't know what to do now, I don't want to waste money on a black screen. Is there a way to avoid that? (or at least have a high chance) Does brands matter in this? if it does, what brands should I try? Or is it just a gamble, and I can't ever be sure? (Which is my guess) Thanks for reading and helping. <3 (why a heart? whatever...)

What PSU brand should I get? SeaSonic, EVGA, Corsair, Thermaltake, Cooler Master, Antec? which one should I get? What's the best/your favorites?

So i was looking at graphics cards and I saw the MSI armour GTX 1060 so I looked at it and as usual it was black and white which I like. Then I stumbled upon the Asus version and I also really liked it. Which should i get for a black and white themed build?

Hi, I'd like to know good keyboards, I currently have the razer blackwidow ultimate. It is a very nice keyboard but it's big and clunky. It has 2 wires which is annoying. I'm looking for mechanical, low profile, comfortable, popular brand. Also I'm probably going for a razer deathadder. seems basic and reliable. thanks -pj

Hi , LTT I recently bought a pre-built gaming computer and have been wanting to add more ram to it however I have been having difficulty finding the timing, and speed I need to match what is already in my machine which is adata ddr4 2400 (pc 19200) this listing was the closest I could find http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820211905&cm_re=adata_xpg-_-20-211-905-_-Product I have included a screenshot of the timings of the ram in my pc do you thinks this would work or would I be able to mix and match brands so long as the timing and speed are the same? sorry I'm kind of a noob when it comes to pc

I want to start a custom computer building company but I don't know how to get branded hardware, any tips?

I realised that on places like ebay or Aliexpress a lot of different brands seem to have the exact same product images. Companies like amazon also get products from OEMs and rebrand them as their own. I was wondering if there is an easy way to find the OEM of those products based only on the product page and the info you can get there. This would be useful in the case you could find that exact product under cheaper brands with the 'safety' of knowing that it is the same product since it has been manufactured by the same company. For instance, let's say we have the following cheap computer mouse from amazon: https://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-3-Button-Wired-Mouse-Black/dp/B005EJH6RW/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&pf_rd_i=10112675011&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_p=866f1e9a-1d8a-49b3-8986-c6c364f13a15&pf_rd_r=4XQE5WDQ1TZAGZA7K398&pf_rd_s=merchandised-search-4&pf_rd_t=101&qid=1547908383&s=Computers%2B%26%2BAccessories&sr=1-5&srs=10112675011&th=1 What hints can we get from the product page to determine the OEM? Thank you in advanced

Alright, thought this would be a fun thread , List the brands & Only the brands alone which makes up Your current PC , DO NOT explicitly specify which component & or what model it is, List the brand name & leave how many of it's components are there if there are more than one within brackets (if it's one component you can leave adding the number anything on or above 2 you should add as shown in the example shown below) So which Brand make your PC, Your PC? Post your replies & comments down below Example : (My Pc) Intel (2x) Toshiba (2x) Dell (1x) Corsair (2X) LG (2X) Sony (1x) Sennheiser (1X) Gigabyte (1x) EVGA (1X) APC (1X) Belkin (1x) WD (1X) Logitech(1x) AMD(1X) XFX (1X)

Hi everyone! I am in the market for a high end monitor, looking at 27 inch + 4k or 21:9 ratio monitors with a triple monitor setup. I have quite a few questions in my search for my perfect to near perfect monitor. My budget is £500 - £1,000 ideally in the lower range of the spectrum. My day to day includes video editing and gaming, games include things like LoL, MMO's like Blade & Soul to things GTA 5 and Witcher etc. Although I am a gamer I do prefer colour and overall better visual experience over response time which is why I lean more towards IPS over TN. My current monitors are two 24 inch LG 24MB35PY and a Dell U2414H which both are great but I've noticed that the LG has better colour depth, vibrancy out of the box compared to the Dell U2414H and this baffles me because they claim "unbeatable colour" on their box; for this reason I've had to adjust the contrast of the Dell to match the LG which was a hassle. My friend has told me from his experience with Asus and BenQ monitors that the colour on the BenQ was better. For this reason I ask which brands have good colours depth, vibrancy, clarity and accuracy or more specifically which monitors have really good colour depth etc etc. I'm leaning more towards 4k monitors as having such a beautiful visual experience is mind blowing for me but having seen x34 predator and LG ultrawides has put questions into my mind in terms of which to choose. Has anyone had experience with the two and have similar day to day tasks as myself, which do you prefer? Also in terms of the the curved 21:9's how are they? They look really nice but I fear in the a triple monitor setup they might look weird side by side. If by some miracle that you guys could recommend a monitor of my specification with a good response time that would be great but I know it's a long shot. Also in terms of stand and other things with the monitor, I used to like pivot, swivel and tilt but I don't see the need for pivot these days and only really care about good height adjust range, tilt and swivel albeit swivel isn't a deal breaker. Next is aesthetics, I like a clean and professional/ ish looking monitor and this is important to me which you can imagine is why I bought a U2414H (because of the nice looking stand and professional look) over a similar LG monitor because I'm a potato but oh well. Having G-Sync would be great as well! Lastly, VESA mounting would be great because having three 27inch + monitors on a desk requires a lot of desk space and a gigantic desk and having to get a desk that takes up half of my room isn't ideal! Thank you for reading!

Hi, I'm looking for a laptop of 17, and I'm looking at alternatives, my main use will be as software development, big data and financial systems (such as Calypso tools they need to start 4-6 ram ) and usually work in virtualized environments (max 3 normally 2 simultaneously (99%)). The truth is that I'm going crazy for two models and don't not what to choose. the first one is the thinkpad p70 with XEON 1505M and 16 GB of RAM in 8 * 2 (16gb is the least I would need ) or new models Dell Precision 17 7000 both with same configuration. But now, I don't know how much it would be an advantage or not the difference in price between the Xeon E3 1505M processor with ECC memory and i7 6700HQ or 6820HQ without ECC for my usage. Moreover, if the ECC XEON not really offer me any significant advantage and opt for the i7 6gth what differences would have to Alienware 17 or Asus rog 17 g752vt 6gth i7 both with and DDR4 memory expandable up to 64GB, but with a price much lower compared to the workstation. I don't use graphic, and don't play games, I only work with the laptop connected to 2 monitor + laptop screen. What recommend me? What are the difference between Dell precision and thinkpad (same specification), or between MSI, CLEVO or any other... Sorry for my english, I'm from Spain...

just curious but how do computer builders like falcon northwest puget systems and origin just to name a few get custom laptops. do they get them from an oem and modify it? it or do they spend money developing a motherboard and everything? so if i was to buy from them would i be buying a modified asus laptop or a fully custom one? thanks maybach123
