Hi, this is almost a new PC. Bought back in April of this year. Specs: i5 12th gen, 16 GB ram, Rtx 3060, 650 w corsair PSU, 240 gb ssd 2.5", 1 tb Western digital hdd, ant esports cab. Today I was watching a YT video and the suddenly froze with a loud bizzare buzzing sound. Everything was unresponsive even ctrl + alt + delete was not working and I had to force shutdown using power button. When I turned on the PC again, it started and then after a couple of seconds it turned off and then it automatically turned on and off and it did for like 3 to 4 times. Then I held the power button to turn off and turned on. Then monitor was showing "No signal detected" but PC seems to be on but I couldn't see. Again, I held the power button to turn off and turned on, this time it showed Windows is corrupt or something, need repairing. Then it gave Blue Screen and it stucked at 21% while recovering. It freezed at 21% for around 10 minutes then I turned off from power button again. Next time, I was able to get to desktop and I got Blue screen again. The error codes were: Stop code: DRIVER IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL what failed: volsnap.sys It was giving constant blue screens so I formatted and reinstalled Windows 10 on the SSD. After installing windows and reaching the desktop area, it again gave Blue Screen. Stop Code: System service exception what failed: win32kbase This was a fresh windows install and no drivers were installed, why would it give Blue Screen? I checked health status of SSD and HDD using crystal disk info and got this: HDD screenshot: https://imgur.com/B4bSsqP SSD screenshot: https://imgur.com/lds6fJX What could be causing the sudden constant freezing and blue screens even on a new fresh windows?

Hey everyone, For about the past month and a half, my computer has been nonstop blue screening every 5-30 minutes (with the occasional few hours where it works flawlessly), with random stop codes each time. It all started once I moved into my college dorm, when my PC would randomly crash, and everything I've tried so far to fix it never seems to work. Let me break down what I've done: - I originally tried to see what recent apps and drivers were recently installed, but to no luck with deleting them - Ran chkdsk, sfc, and DISM - Ran Verifier to see what drivers were causing it (told me it was nvrtxvad64v.sys, so I uninstalled both the driver and NVIDIA Broadcast, no luck) - Ran Verifier again to see that it was storport.sys, couldn't figure out how to fix that - Reinstalled multiple drivers (AMD Chipset drivers, NVIDIA drivers, even swapping from Game Ready to Studio) - Did a complete reinstall of Windows (tried stable 10 releases, most recent 10 updates, and even 11 beta and prerelease, and after doing this, my Bluetooth adapter is no longer recognized???) - Ran Memory Diagnostics to no avail - Updated and reflashed BIOS - Turned off overclocks And here's the specs of my PC: AMD Ryzen 9 3950x ASUS ROG Crosshair VIII Hero (Wi-Fi) G.SKILL TridentZ RGB Series 32 GB (2 x 16GB) @ 3200MHz ZOTAC GAMING GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER AMP NZXT H710i (Black) (Boot Drive Samsung SSD 970 EVO Plus 1TB SSD (Storage Drive) ST4000DM004-2CV104 HDD EVGA SuperNOVA 1000 G5 Running the prelease Windows 11 (22000.194) Honestly, I have no clue WHAT is going on, and it's been driving me nuts. Even blue screened while writing this. I'm starting to think it may be a hardware issue, but again, I can't be sure. Could someone please help me out? If you need the DUMP files that's cool too, but any and all help is appreciated. If it's software, a way to fix it would be welcome, and if it's hardware, a guide to diagnose what part is malfunctioning would be great. I am open to rerunning any tests and programs that I already have. Thank you for your time. --Huddy

Good morning, After reading over the BSOD posting guidelines, I created some Google Drive files. 1 contains the files from synsative, the other is a Word document containing all necessary specs about my system. I could NOT get windows System Diagnostics to complete the report regardless of whether I ran it as an admin or not (let it run over 30 minutes twice). I also attached a pic of the last BSOD from yesterday that was recorded in Corsair's diagnostics software under my system history. Synsative file: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ODygJ90mlZGydDVsFyKG54wgkYkY9bli/view?usp=sharing I just bought this system direct from Corsair and it was delivered to me on 5/3. Came preinstalled with Windows 10 Home. Very little bloatware. The only PC game I have installed on it is FFXIV. I don't even play anything on max or overclock. But every time there's a BSOD, it says the NVIDIA driver failed. It started happening on the 2nd or 3rd day I had the system, yesterday was the most recent BSOD, and this past Wednesday it happened FIVE TIMES. I've done a clean reinstall of the drivers, but not the OS. I've taken out and re-seated the RAM/GPU, made sure all the connections were good in the tower, confirmed the GPU has it's own power cable and it's not split, etc. OS – Windows 10 Home, x64 OEM OS, preinstalled on the system Age of system – I just purchased this from Corsair at the end of April; it was delivered 5/3/21 Age of OS installation – unsure, have not reinstalled yet CPU model Intel i7-11700k @ 3.60 ghz Video Card model – Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 MotherBoard - (if NOT a laptop) Micro-Star International Co. hello! I have my pc for some years now, upgraded my GPU, then my motherboard and CPU. on the way I encountered some errors but those are I think fixed. But now I have blue screens while using my pc normally. The error from the blue screens say its from all the different programs on my pc, I had just one that said the Microsoft store was the problem. this might be normal for people but the frequency it happens concerns me, its almost a normal thing that there is a blue screen. With the blue screens I also have a weird thing were both my monitors go blink black. if that happens nothing seems to happen until I need to switch from program or close a program(or move the program around, haven't tried it I think). The open programs seem to be stuck at there place, when open I can use it. When I close it it choses a weird place spanning across my 2 monitors but as a picture, I cant click desktop shortcuts underneath but also cant interact with the closed program/picture. Sometimes when the monitors blink black the programs visually change position but are for the pc still in the correct place for example vs code 5 cm/inches to the left, only visually to close it I still need to hit the X top right and i think the program becomes that sort of picture) I may be able to fix the blue screens but the errors are from so many different programs I don't know what to do. I hope you can help! Thank you so much for your time and have a nice day or night PS: I am really sorry for my bad explanations, I'm bad at it and it is hard to describe, I don't have any pictures of the monitor error and the blue screens are all different.

Hello everyone, About 4 years ago I got myself Dell Inspiron Gaming 7567 following an LTT review. Have been extremely happy with the purchase ever since (especially given decent GPU allowing me to keep playing and working throughout shortages). I have also greatly appreciated how easy it is to work on - I have opened it multiple times, to add RAM, increase and improve the SSD and most recently to swap the battery, given that the original one has degraded to barely lasting over 15 minutes out of the wall (and during the replacement I noticed that the OEM battery got puffed up anyway). However, over the last couple of months (after the battery swap), I have noticed some strange behavior from my laptop. First, it would occasionally hang when powered in and not react to wake ups or short power button prosses (for over 5 minutes, compared to 5-10 seconds from sleep usually), requiring a long one (forced restart) to start booting. Second, it would occasionally throw a blue screen of death when the HDMI cable would be pulled out (which is weird - given HDMI is send-only). While all of that was annoying, it was occurring rarely enough for me to not care, at least until yesterday. Yesterday evening, when the laptop hanged again, I left it alone for a bit longer than usual (10-15) minutes, on battery (close to full). At that point, it threw a BSOD pertaining to power failure (that was a new one) and then proceeded to reboot itself. However, it failed to boot and the BIOS screen popped up declaring that no HDD was found, resulting in a shut-down. Following that shutdown, the computer failed to post. Every time a power button would be pressed, it would light for a couple of seconds then go dark. Plugging to the wall, unplugging and re-plugging the battery, RAM and HDD did not solve the issue. At this point my hypothesis was that a power issue grilled the motherboard, so I proceeded to stripping down the laptop until only the heatsinks remained and wiped the board with isopropyl alcohol while looking for any blown capacitors, transistors or components that would have taken damage and would have needed to be replaced (Alex-overclocking-a-GPU-style). Having found none, I re-assembled everything and was able to get the system to post and then to boot with from-the-wall power. However, I now have a major concern with regards to how long before a similar error occurs and actually grills my motherboard forcing a laptop replacement. What could I do to diagnose the source and address it before it's too late? The BSODs from previous months (in attachment) do not seem to indicate anything suspicious to me and the last night's BSOD wasn't even saved in the dump, so it's not clear where to start for me. If you have any ideas, I would be grateful. Minidump.zip

Recently I got a new PC and it started crashing under heavy load, I thought it's not a big deal. Now, issues are a lot bigger, my games crash after playing them for around 10 minutes, the CPU temps reach 77C and GPU ones reach around 68C. I installed 3 additional fans but it didn't resolve the issue.I've ran 2 OCCT's power tests and got blue screens after around 5 minutes, the first test showed that something was wrong with the CPU, the second one just straight up crashed my PC. I've ran the cmd commands but it didn't work minidump folder: https://www.mediafire.com/file/n2g65k6kmbd79ch/Minidump.zip/file pc specs: Intel core i7 11700KF Be quiet! So I’m troubleshooting and I keep having problems with my GPU. Whenever I uninstall the integrated graphics drivers, install the GPU, and boot into windows, I get blue screens and freezing. Even after I install the correct drivers this still occurs. From spending literally this ENTIRE WEEK troubleshooting, I have determined some things: This all started after overclocking my GPU/RAM (I’m not against overclocking so I tried to overclocking my GPU and RAM. I accidentally did a bad overclock so I deleted the Afterburner profile and uninstalled the application. Since then, I’ve had the issue) Its not the GPU (I have tried two different graphics cards. One AMD, one Nvidia. Both of them have cause the same problems) Im pretty sure the hard drive is working properly (I’ve ran Chkdsk /r and system file scan and both have come up fine. I’ve also used Crystal Disk to check the status of my hard drives and it said it was fine. I haven’t yet checked for bad sectors on either of the hard drives I've tested) Integrated graphics work fine most of the time (when I uninstall the GPU drivers and run off of integrated graphics everything is stable. Barely any crashes or freezing) The graphics drivers are the newest version (After installing the latest drives when testing both GPUs, I still get extremely common freezing and blue screens) Event Viewer shows little to nothing after crashes (when I open event viewer after the crashes I shows nothing that seems to relate to the crashing of the system. Pics of errors are shown below) This is an absolute mystery to me because I’ve troubleshooted multiple computers before and have never seen anything the like of this. The same problems happen on my GTX 770 and Radeon HD 6750. If any computer detective wants to help me solve this, it would be greatly appreciated. PC Specs: CPU: AMD Phenom x4 9850 GPU: AMD Radeon HD 6750 / Nvidia GTX 770 (the problems occur on both) MoBo: EVGA n-Force 730a PSU: 550W Rosewill Performance RP550-2 HDD: Seagate Barracuda 320gb / Toshiba 100gb (Same problems are occurring on both)

My Pc is presenting 3~8 BSOD's a day. I have changed my PSU(evga 750 bg) that has 1.3 years old for the Corsair HX850 about 3 months ago. I've also changed my memory for new one(less than 2 months), one of my HD it's not working anymore, I only have a SSD now(for about less than 1 year). Even before this changes the PC still "bsoding". My actual build is: CPU - i7 4790kGraphicCard - GTX 970Memory - 16GB DDR3MOBO - Asus Sabertooth Mark IPowerSuply - HX850Storage - SSD kingstom 480gbOS - Windows 10 My mobo was recently refurbished and after that the BSOD already happens but less frequently, about 0~1 per day. I have format the PC at least 2 times per week after the repairs because sometimes after the BSOD I'm unable to enter the OS. Have tried different versions of w10 and w7 also. Hi, At the beginning of the month I built a PC with the folllowing specs: Ryzen 1200 MSI GTX 1050 Ti Crucial 1x8GB DDR4-2400 Sandisk 240GB SSD PLUS MSI PRO-VD PLUS A320M I am now getting BSODs every now and then with different codes including: MEMORY_MANAGEMENT KERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILED CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA KERNEL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR I believe these are all RAM related however when I ran the memory diagnostic tool no problems were found. I have also contacted Microsoft support but all they did was increase the virtual memory allocation which worked for a day but then I started getting BSODs again. I have also checked drivers and software for updates but have found none for them. If anyone can help that would be great. Thanks Rob

Hello, For the past few months,my new gaming rig has suffered from constant lockups( screen freezes, sound stops, devices become useless, and a manual reset is required). This will be a very long post so be prepared. I am going to leave NOTHING out as I want to limit the amount of questions asked so we can get to the bottom of this can of worms. I live in Western NY, Warm summers and freeing winters lol. I built this PC in mid-August and it ran perfectly at my house until mid-September. At first, the lockups only happened once a week but became more and more frequent as the weeks went on. I came to a point where I could not use my PC whatsoever. I have tried EVERYTHING to find out what's wrong. I have swapped RAM out, Swapped GPU's as I have r9 270X's in Xfire. I have replaced the PSU twice. I now bought an 850W EVGA Supernova G2, top of the line PSU I guess. The ones I had before I was told were terrible ( LEPA 800W MaxBronze, Raidmax Vampire 800W Gold). I have ran Windows memory diagnosis to rule a RAM issue out. It found nothing wrong. The biggest clue I believe I found was this: I brought my PC along with every single piece of my setup to my buddy's house. I hooked everything up as I would at my house. The only things being different was the ethernet cable and the house's power itself. For almost a week, we ran my PC there, never turning it off, gaming, surfing the web and everything. We COULD NOT get it to lock up or do anything like it does at my house. This led me to believe that it was an issue with my houses power. Maybe my PC wasn't getting enough power or it wasn't getting clean power. Upon inspection, the outlet I was using was grounded ( as were the dozen other outlets about the house that I have tried) I am getting a steady wattage and voltage before during and after my PC locks up ( no spikes or dips). We also routed my PC it's own personal breaker, locked up. we turned off all breaker in the entire house so my PC was the only thing in the whole house on, locked up. I did the light bulb test, light bulb did not dim when the PC locked up. I even bought a Volt Regulator which did not help at all. Internet connection was something I thought could be the issue. I disconnected my PC from the internet as well as using a different ethernet than the one I had been using. Both of those trials led in lockups or blue screens which can occasionally happen but not nearly as often as lockups. I keep and run my PC in my basement as it is the only place I can get privacy and stay out of the family's way. The basement can get very cold. In the summer, it never gets warmer than 70*F or so and in the winter like right now, It can get as low as 45-50*F. Recently, I have tried very unorthodox troubleshooting. I put my PC on power saving mode and kept my case fans on the lowest setting. That night my PC did not lockup once. Normally I am not able to keep it on for 5 minutes let alone 5 hours or more! The next night however, I powered my PC on and suffered from one lockup when I started Steam but after resetting, It worked fine. The following night, I did get 3 lockups in a row when starting Steam and browsing the internet. Aggravated, I opened my PC up and unplugged my case fan on the side panel. " Why not?" I was willing to do anything. The lockups stopped after that and only happen once every time I turn on my computer. I do a manual reset and it will work until the next time I turn it on. Lockups tend to only happen on the internet or steam. Keep in mind that the connection itself has no bearing because it locked up without being connected as well. It seemed that if I managed to get a game going for awhile and avoid a lockup by luck, my PC will run fine. but I will get on chrome for a few hours after and eventually...I'll get a lockup. So, here's the question, can a PC's lockup from being too cold. upon startup, ASRock A-Tuning says that my CPU temp is around 25-27*C. I do not know how cold other components are though. I'd assume the GPU's would be cool as well. I do recall one time moving my PC to my room where it can be freezing at night. I gamed on it all night and it worked fine there until I put it to sleep and woke it up in the morning, It locked up immediately. This is just the last thing I think this issue could be. Well, tell me you're thoughts and may Gaben be with you all

Hello, I am having a problem with my computer. When I start my computer up I (often) get an error message that says : "The current BIOS setting do not fully support the boot device".( IMGUR LINK : http://imgur.com/tBeZbrT ) It tells me to go to the boot order settings but I don't see nor I can change the boot order. My BIOS doesn't recognize my HDD. If I restart my computer a couple of times I stop getting the error message and my computer boots up normally.(I sometimes get black screens/freezes at the login screen) But my computer blue screens after 20 mins to 7 hours of usage. I also get random freezes. What I have done so far to fix my problem : I ran CCleaner several times I tried Windows Repair several times I tried changing the BIOS settings I ran CHKDSK but I don't think it said anything I searched for some fixes online but they say to change settings in my BIOS but I still get the error My specs : MOBO : Asus P8 Z77-V LX2 HDD : Western Digital Caviar Black RAM : Corsair Vengeance(8Gb) PSU : Corsair TX 650W GPU : Nvidea GTX 680 (Asus) CPU : Intel Core i7 3770 (Not overclocked) EDIT1 : I put a USB in my computer and my motherboard does recognize the USB as a boot device! So I think my HDD is faulty. EDIT2 : The problem has been solved! A quick BIOS update fixed this problem! What should I do to resolve this problem? Thank you in advance! _
