So my school has very good IT administrators who are quick to spot any faults in their network. They prevent any other software from being installed and block most websites (especially yahoo answers because it's a "social network"). They block proxies almost instantly and even deleted chrome for us because people found ways through. They use wired Ethernet connection which aren't accessible to us otherwise i would connect it to my internet. Even the virtual machines had these restrictions and now they blocked the internet on them. CMD is also blocked as well as control panel and they killed our ability to adjust mouse cursor speeds like wtf. If anybody knows a way i could bypass these restrictions it would be much appreciated. The school runs on windows seven professional. Also please keep the responses semi reasonable because i can't exactly rip the hard drive out and re-format it!

Hi, I'm a real newbie when its comes to video encoding. So far I've only really achieved what format my smart TV supports and not satisfied with handbrake end results with the video quality. I understand I will encounter some artifacts or loss of quality but this is just unbearable watching on a 55 inch display. Example: As you can see in the top right of this screenshot the noise/blocks are noticeable. I want to avoid deblock filter as much possible due to its known to bring quality loss and glitches from what I've read online. Are there any other decent filters/options that I could be utilizing? Cheers.

Hi guys, Since yesterday my new build is live. It's a PC desk. Everything works fine, but when I try to play a youtube video, the video starts to tear etc which makes it impossible for me to watch video's. Sometimes it just dissapears, but most of the time it keeps happening throughout the video. Pic at the end of the post. Any solutions? In the beginning I've had some problems with the sound aswell. When I play music through the monitor or plug in my headset into the monitor and I put some load on the gpu (even video's, but mostly gaming) the sound starts to deform like crazy. After browsing through the internet I used a usb for my mic, which solved the problem. Any ideas on how to fix this problem? Maybe these problems have the same cause?

Hi Guys, I have a GTX760 connected to 2 screens and one TV. I was playing games and then I started seeing blocks appearing on the screen. I attached a file with a clip that I took while in diablo. These blocks are displaying on all monitors. My thought is that my GFX card is faulty but I would like to have some opinions regarding this issue. I ran the 3 screen setup for a few months now. Drivers Have been updated, card has been reseated. Any ideas? Thanks guys. 20160823_184116.mp4

Hi, I'm getting started using Plex for streaming my media, but just wondering should I just keep the original file from the blu ray which is about 40gb or encode it to a video bitrate more efficient (5000-5800) and to lower the file size? Any help would be great. Cheers.

video bit rate Encoding for Fat32 File system
Strayan_Hades posted a topic in Programs, Apps and Websites
Hi, Lately I've being doing alot of encoding of media that only supports FAT32 file system which is annoying trying to keep the media under 4GB. Which I've achieved by using a video bitrate of 2500 and Mp3 Audio 320 (Yes, I don't use AAC due to horrible cracking/static but that's a whole different story) at full 1080p which I finally got a 3hour and 21minutes film at a file size of 3.96GB. But the downside to all of this are the "BLOCKS" or block artifacts due to the lower bitrate. (As seen in these screenshots) Video bitrate: of 2500 Blu ray: So is it worth even bothering with a FAT32 file system to watch your media on a non smart TV, because I understand that increasing the video bit rate will solve the block problem but will increase file size and get over 4GB file size. (Another thing to note is I don't want my kids scratching my blu ray discs, so hooking up a blu ray player isn't my solution.) Any other methods or settings for handbrake would be great. Cheers. -
Hello all. Ran across this site and was looking at a few posts, But i have some questions, My main question is i have a GTX Titan black signature superclocked. I recently built a water cooling build (Here) and was looking to add a water block to it as well as hard tubing to give it a cleaner look. My main question is everywhere i go everything says a 780TI water block will fit on a gtx titan black. So will this one (here) fit? I like the acrylic look just because i like to see the liquid as a personal thing. So was wondering if that block would work or if i should look into others? I thank you for your help on that issue Now for my other question (Might be the wrong section. Probably is) I'm looking at converting this build i currently have into a acrylic hard tube build. I personally love the look of a hard tube build. Now. I have a bunch of G1/4 Compression fittings on my build (And some extra from my build) Will i need to ditch these to go full acrylic. I know i will need to add more fittings, a lot more of different types. I understand normal tubing pretty well. But hard tubing is completely different to me. Anything you guys could help with would be Really. Really apreciated. (I plan on going from Tank to GPU, then GPU to CPU, CPU to radiator then radiator to my tank. Even if you can't help, I thank you for your time.

Hello! I would just want to know what causes this little quirk that happens when viewing gifs and videos. It happens usually when viewing a Gif on Chrome or Edge, somehow doesn't happen on Firefox On videos it only happens for about the first second or so. It usually happens when viewing videos on Facebook on Chrome/Edge. It sometimes happen on the Movies & TV windows app and Windows Media Player. It does not occur on VLC and Firefox. I recently installed a XFX r9 270x on a Windows 10 machine (hence the Edge). Everything seems fine (I have run benchmarks and played games) but this little nuisance. It is not really a big problem it is just annoying sometimes. Thanks! Here are some pictures:

Hello everyone! Ive just bought all the parts for my new PC. And yes, its overkill. I know. However, its the first time im doing water cooling that isn't closed loop. Here is my parts list: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/jY7BJx Now, since this is my first time, i need some help on what parts i should/need to get, but i need a full list even including like the compression fittings. I have watched a load of youtube videos, but i still haven't worked out all the parts. If anyone can help me out, i will be eternally grateful. From what i know so far, im planning on a triple 120mm rad in the roof, and a dual 120mm extra fat in the bottom of my NZXT Phantom 820 case. I know about CPU/GPU blocks, and reservoirs etc, but i have no idea between the different ones. Same goes for pumps. This is where i need help haha! I need to know EVERYTHING i need to get to be able to do it! Low-Mid range prices would be nice! Can anyone help? Thank you very much in advance!

Full article here: http://www.theverge.com/2014/10/20/7013409/china-is-staging-a-nationwide-attack-on-icloud If the users are using Firefox or Chrome, They will get the pesky pop-up of "this site is not safe" (we have all encountered it at least once before), but on this instance, it's actually a good thing this popped up as un-secure, But bad news for those who run the most popular browser Qihoo... The login page looks identical to Apple's official page and users who didn't notice wouldn't be any the wiser. It's not just Apple this is affecting either. It's also affecting Microsoft's Live account services as well such as OneDrive and Hotmail/outlook, (what ever they wish to call it) According to the Verge most users can get around this false re-direction with the use of a VPN, but due to the censorship in China, this might not be possible as most VPN's are blocked, you can also access the real iCould website using one of Apples many ip addresses but because of the level this "attack" is being issued at, The Great Firewall, many lead to believe it is the government trying to access users data after the previous move by Apple to encrypt all of the users data. Looks like China is not happy with Apples recent motives to keep users data private. Remind you of any one (*cough, FBI, cough*) Although, I don't know why they are attempting to stop users from using Microsoft's Live services, because I thought MS was always compliant with Chinese laws.

hey forum, is the EK-DCP 2.2 a good pump? Havn't been able to find any negative reviews on it, and it is very fairly priced. Does anyone have any experience with it? Also, do you think it would be enough for a loop with CPU, GPU and two radiators?

In the light of recently revealed project Ara, the next big thing in mobile tech to be hyped to hell and gone is obviously hardware customization. And with "smart watches" like Pebble and Galaxy gear probing the market, it made sense for someone to do something akin to Ara and create a modular smart watch. It is called Blocks and is yet just a concept. More at Techcrunch.

Just wanted to share this pretty awesome game with you. For those of you that dont know already, it is a third person robot crafting game, where you craft your own robots out of lego-like cube components and battle with them against other players in 10 vs. 10 matches. Since 8th of July it is on Steam early-access and completely FREE to play. I personally find it to be really really awesome. The gameplay mechanics are good considering its alpha development state, there are updates at least once a week with new blocks and maps and the amount of customization is huge. Its easy to learn and understand, but also quite strategic and has a good amount of depth to it due to things like the Tektree, where you research new items and blocks. Oh, and it less than 1GB of a download. http://store.steampowered.com/app/301520/ And you can also build aircrafts, here is mine

So just out of curiosity what is the best fitting, radiator, and water block on the market? I'm asking this out of curiosity because me and my friend are going to blow money on a overkill rig for another guy who cant afford a lot of money (you can guess why), so anyways we were planning to build a overkill PC but were wonder about 3 thing,: 1. What is the best fitting for future proof water cooling? 2. What is the best radiator? (We are going to build this in a Corsair 900D) 3. What is the best water block for a Titan Z? Additional Details: -Budget has been drop kicked out the window. -This build is going to be done is the Corsair 900D -We are also using a HPATX motherboard because the guy is wanting to become a 3D rendering engineer thingy but he loves video games more than anything so thats why we got the titan z. -Please do not insult us and thanks for the support!

Hello, Since a week ago I noticed these weird pixels formations popping up on random places across the screen. The possition is different almost every time but always appear as 2 different blocks. Scrolling down/up on a webpage the pixels move with it aswell. The colour of the pixels is not always red. I don't know what's causing this. Is it my monitor, my videocard or chrome? I'm using a LG Flatron E2360 monitor, Windforce gtx 670 OC videocard and the latest version on chrome. It may also happen in games but never noticed it probbably because of the fast pixel refresh rate in comparisson to a static webpage. If anyone what this is and what's causing it, please let me know.
