Hey guys, so about a month ago I did a new pc build and the final piece of the puzzle is an rtx 3070. I saw that best buy had the FE retailing for the msrp at $500. I know how their drops work because I got a Ryzen 5600x from one around the start of February. my question is if anyone here knows when another drop will occur and how they are selling the cards for $500 when everything else has a price hike of 10%-50%. The last question is just out of curiosity.

I have a few different pre built a that really catch my eye and want some opinions. I would like to build my own (still might if can get hands of gpu) and I won’t be buying right away anyway so something could change in a few months. All these are under $2000 CAD which I’m okay with spending. Some reviews I’ve found say they only come with 1x16gb ram instead of 2x8gb despite what the picture shows and 2 of the 4 computers cpu coolers aren’t the greatest but could change if need be. It would most likely void the warranty but might build my own. Just seeing everyone’s opinion

Like the title says, I need to know what's going to give me the best shot at getting a 3080 Founders at MSRP. The only valid seller I'm aware of is Best Buy. I have a client (a buddy) who currently has my 2070S in his build...he had an opportunity cost he needed a PC to meet, so I had to loan it to him to get the sale at all. I want my 2070S back, but he only wants the founders version of the 3080 he paid me to get him. People have pointed me to Discord, that there are channels that advertise when there's stock, but the ones I've looked at don't list the Founders card at Best Buy. They look at Amazon, NewEgg, B&H, etc. and seem to list only AIB cards. I've heard that Best Buy e-mail stock notifications are garbage, and will come several hours after they've already sold out - if they ever send the e-mail. I'll do the work and play the game, I don't want to pay for a bot to go buy it for me or something like that. I just need to know when it's in stock to be able to play the game. I can't sit and refresh Best Buy endlessly. I have a day job, and I can't divert my attention from it like that. I can if it's for like 10 minutes every day. Any ideas? Is there a specific Discord I need to be looking at for this? Are there typical days/times that Best Buy restocks them? Or am I just SOL?

Best buy posted their black friday deals. I'm conflicted between this HP Victus and this Lenovo ideapad. I have a gaming desktop so I don't really care for the GPUs, but anything cheaper than these two are pretty bad. I'm a computer science major so I'd prefer more CPU cores. RAM is cheap and easy to upgrade, but I don't know how good Intel's hybrid architecture is for virtualization (I run windows, but do all my development tasks in WSL2). For a developer-type use case, would the 4 p-cores + 4 e-cores or 6 zen 3 cores be better? If there's any i7s or Ryzen 7s in a $500-ish laptop, I'd love to hear about it also.

So I recently bought an XFX AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT RAW II PRO from Best Buy at the end of March. I originally paid $289.99 plus tax (US Dollars). A few days go by, I notice the same card was lowered to $269.99 plus tax on their website. I talked to Best Buy support and they told me that they would refund me for the price difference. Here's the kicker. They didn't price match me to $269.99 plus tax, they told me they could match it to $249.99 plus tax**!** I don't know how or why they matched it below their own website's price. I've never seen a price like this for a brand-new 5600 XT. The RAW II PRO is a pretty solid card too. On my overclock, I'm running a stable 1860 MHz memory clock and 1820 MHz boost clock at temps 65 degrees Celsius and below under full load. Has anyone else encountered a price like this (RAW II PRO or not), or did I just get really lucky? Has anyone ever encountered an experience like this at Best Buy regardless? I'm genuinely curious. Hey guys, This television is on sale at my local Best Buy, for a pretty good deal ($300 off to a sale price of $599 with 12 month financing and free delivery). I am currently using a 55' 1080P JVC I bought about 4 years ago, which is turning itself off and soft locking from time to time so I was thinking about replacing it and upgrading to 4k for my living room. I mostly use the TV with my Roku Stick and Chromecast for watching videos from streaming services and occasionally with my Steam Link to play video games with my wife, and very rarely to watch a Blu-Ray on my PS3. What do you guys think? Is that TV worth my time at that price or should I wait and look at some other different tech later on in the year, while I wait for JVC to die? (synopsis) A Geek Squad technician working on a doctor's computer discovered a small thumbnail image containing a nude child. The file was discovered on the hard drives unallocated space, an area where a file was deleted but still exists until new data can write over it. The Geek Squad called the FBI and the doctor was arrested. The Judge decided that without the file's metadata there was no way to determine when the file was saved to the HDD, deleted, or where it came from. (MY THOUGHTS) Is it just me or does this sound like the Geek Squad employee went out of their way in order to find this file? Replacing an HDD and transferring files does not require you visually inspect each and every file.

on an From 2013-2016 I was working at Best Buy as a Computer Sales Associate. I just loved the ASUS A10 3.7GHz Model #M11BB Desktop (came with Windows 8.0 originally), even purchased one myself. It only costed $500 and was the best performance for the price at the time (and at Best Buy). It was at my store for almost 2 years, and I probably sold 100 of them myself... but then Windows 10 came out. They even continued to sell the computer at Best Buy, and indeed it is compatible with Windows 10 up to build 1507 (very old), if you don't mind the daily blue screens of death. When Windows 10 build 1607 came out it changed something to do with drivers, and it broke the updates for the ASUS M11BB. ASUS phone support's official response is that the hardware doesn't support Windows 10! Considering the overlap with the release of Windows 10, that is some REALLY bad support IMHO. More like they didn't want to support the driver changes that took place between Windows 10 builds 1507 and 1607. If I had a faster computer to run Windows 10 on, I would just run Linux on the M11BB, it LOVES Linux. I would love to see this horrible travesty brought to light on a future episode, or at least talked about here. You guys have enough power to make them fix this for the 50,000 people that are just screwed now. Also if anyone knows how I can hack this thing to update it, that information would be greatly appreciated as well!

Hi ! Long story short, I unintentionally broke my chg90. I brought it to the store, where they took it for a few weeks to evaluate the damages. When I got it back, they said they didn’t repair it because it was not covered by the extended warranty. Ah well. When I took it home and plugged it in, I saw that they worsened the damages by far. The crack is now two times bigger, and pixel lines are appearing on the sides. I have a photo of before and after. Has anyone been in similar situation?

I went to Best Buy in USA and the representative refused to sell me a Google Pixel 2 or Pixel 2XL. She informed me that I would need to sign a Verizon contract on the spot if I would like to buy one. I am a ATT prepaid consumer. I offered to pay in cash and she refused. The manager said the same thing. She also informed me that the Google Pixel 2 family is not unlockable. It was my understanding that if you paid for it in full it was unlockable. Has anyone else had this experience? Is the Pixel 3 going to be different? P.S. I ended up buying a Xperia XA2 Ultra and it cost a lot less. I am happy with its performance so far but the charge time is horrible.

I walked into best buy today browsing and found an EVGA 1080 at MSRP, 1070, 1060 6GB, and 1050Ti. And AMD 580, 570, and 560 all in stock and at MSRP. I was so happy I bought the 1080, I could not believe that Best Buy of all places would have the GPUs in stock and at MSRP. Hi guys, i really can't come to a conclusion about the best headset to buy for around 100$. Those i've seen are Razer kraken 7.1, Hyper Cloud, HyperX Cloud 2 and various Logitech, Corsair, etc. Which has the best audio/mic quality? Because in every different review about those headset, they seems to be different every time (for example, in one review the mic quality of the kraken 7.1 looks great, in the next one crap). Did someone had a direct experience with those heaphones? Which is the best, or is there something even better (for the same price)? Thanks everybody
