Hello, I have a problem where software and games load slowly, but that happens only sometimes and the problem will last until PC is rebooted. The behavior is similar to having a really bad and slow hard drive. However it doesn't seem to be fully related on to how "heavy" the game or software is. Opening something extremely simple such as a calculator or text editor may take 10 seconds to open, but opening a game can also take as much time. I would say the problem occurs every 5-10 time the computer is started, and like I said when I reboot the problem will go away. When the problem is in effect watching htop doesn't show anything weird. CPU, RAM, etc show usage as expected. I've updated BIOS to the latest and it had no effect. Switched off all tree hugging options from BIOS I could find, tried different XMP options, tried to default BIOS settings. If you have some exact option in BIOS in mind that could result to this kind if behavior please tell. I've benchmarked the disks and checked SMART, all seem ok, results here: SMART results: I am not a hard drive expert but I assume according to results above the disks should are fine? From where should I continue troubleshooting? Asus Radeon RX 6600 XT Dual Intel I7 11700K Asus Z590-A Prime Corsair Dominator Platinum 2x8GB DDR4 3200MHz Corsair RM850x Ubuntu 22.04.3 LTS Kernel 6.2.2-060202-generic (tested on different kernels) I've used Wayland and Xorg, problem exists using both.

Hi guys, I swapped cases from a Corsair Crystal 570x to a Lian Li O11 Dynamic and my performance tanked. Specs: Mobo: MSI MPG Z390 Gaming Pro Carbon GPU: Evga RTX 3080 Ti FTW3 CPU: Intel i9-9900K PSU: Corsair RM850x Everything was great on the other case, now every game struggles. I did a fresh windows install hoping that would fix it but nothing, I'm not thermal throttling. CPU stays at 5.0Ghz, GPU clocks and memory seem fine, temps also fine. I've checked all the settings I can think of both in game and Nvidia Control Panel. Still lost. The only change that happened was that I used a riser to vertically mount my GPU and then removed it thinking it was part of the problem; it wasn't. Appreciate the help

I've been troubleshooting a problem where my PC would boot and operate slowly but only sometimes. Slow boot and poor performance would start the moment I would press the power button, monitor would stay blank for several seconds and then the motherboard (Prime Z590-A) ASUS logo would slowly load to my screen. And when entering BIOS it would be so sluggish that mouse navigation is not possible because there is a 2-3 second delay when moving mouse cursor. If I would continue to boot in this state programs and games would take ages to load and the FPS in games would be horrendously poor. And if I would reboot there is a chance that it would boot just fast and normally and no problems whatsoever. Because the problem extends to BIOS and loading ASUS logo it would certainly be a hardware issue. I replaced RAM's to brand new and tried with different hard drive. My friend gave me a tip that I could remove my RX5700XT and use integrated graphics. I tried that and sure enough the boot was lightning fast every single time and it worked just fine. So I tested my old AMD 6950 to see if the PCIe bus is somehow broken or bad settings on it, that was not the case as the 6950 was also booting fast and working just as expected. So in 99% certainty the problem would be the RX5700XT, right? It has warranty left on it so I could return it but I am very curious to know what on earth could cause the GPU to be broken like that that it would cause problems but only some boots? Memory on it is somehow broken or what?

Hello. I built a new pc about 8 months ago, these are the specs: CPU: Ryzen 5 5600x RAM: 4x8GB RIPJAWS 3600mhz CL18 GPU: Asus GTX1080Ti ROG STRIX – 11GB Vram Motherboard: MSI B550M Pro-VDH Wifi SSD: Samsung 500GB NVM2 PSU: Corsair TX850M 80+ Gold Case: Coolermaster Masterbox TD500 ARGB CPU Cooler: ASUS ROG STRIX LC 360 RGB Liquid Cooler My PC was running perfectly fine for a while, but suddenly I realized a decrease in fps and overall performance. My CPU and GPU usage never go above 50% no matter what test nor game i play/run. Not sure why though, my temps are perfectly fine. Back when the PC was working normally under full stress both CPU and GPU would be around if not under 60 Degrees Celsius. I have updated the drivers for my BIOS, Chipset and GPU, so everything should be up to date. I am somewhat lost in what to do, as I have tried most things I can google my way to. If anyone can help or have an idea that I haven't tried please let me know. Have a good rest of your day, Regards.

Hello everyone, I hope you are all having a great day unlike me... I have bought my new rig in 2020 around September. and ever since I bought it . everything I got was below expectations across the board. I've tried to ignore it for a while but it keeps annoying me and I've been trying to fix this for a while now. so my specs are: AMD 7 3700X Gigabyte x570 Gaming X Motherboard Gigabyte RTX 2080 Super 3x Windforce OC 32GB 2666 Mhz Corsair Vengeance XPG Gammix Pro 11 NVME 1TB Corsair 750W PSU Gold I thought if I got this machine it would be the ultimate gaming machine for years to come. and I wouldn't have to worry about optimizing the performance and having a bottleneck anywhere. but to my surprise the performance increase from my last rig was not at all what I expected. I've tried playing many games to test out my FPS but to no avail. Call of Duty Modern Warfare , Warzone , Black Ops Cold War. even older simpler games such as Valorant and League of Legends. I am not getting much fps and here is a key thing. 0 ! FPS increase when I lower the settings. when I lower my settings on any game it feels as though it had no effect. no change whatsoever and its killing me to know why. I've updated all my GPU drivers , APU , CPU , Bios and enabled XMP profile in Bios. I've tried configuring PCIE gen in bios to 3 or 4 and nothing worked. seems like my GPU and CPU are all low usage or sometimes higher than usual which is about 50-60% but still the fps and the fluctuation between FPS is very noticable. I wouldn't mind playing on all low settings if I had consistent high frames but I don't. If you guys have any ideas please do share it with me. I am really tired and met a dead end. I've used up all my knowledge and cannot find a solution. Thank you in advance.

Hi. I am a software engineer student and I bought a computer last summer for coding and some occasion light gamming. what I wanted was something light weigh and that could also do the job. I end up choosing a hybrid pc that had nice specs for the price (except for the ram, but I'm intending to upgrade). The problem is that I can't have the dedicated graphic card enable because it causes bad performance when playing LoL, Valorant, and games like that. When I disable the graphic card, the integrated graphics card from intel does its supposed job causing me to have more performance when the graphic card is turned off in the BIOS. the pc is in this link if u want to check it up and the graphic card is the mx230. Any suggestions of what I can do using just software? I think the pc might be thermal throttling, but this problem came from the factory so I deduced it was not that... (Maybe I'm wrong?) I also checked what supposed performance should I get from this card and it was nothing like I expected. Thanks.

I am getting quite terrible performance in certain games, and below average performance in everything I've played so far. It is especially noticeable on GTA averaging low 50s when driving through the city. I went to YouTube and searched for benchmarks of my CPU/GPU combo and right enough my setup should be getting me well over 100 FPS with everything maxed on GTA. Firstly, here is my setup: Ryzen 5 3600 RTX 3060 Ti Corsair Vengeance LPX 2 x 8GB CL16 MSI B450 Tomahawk Max Things I have tried: Ensured I am on latest GPU drivers Uninstalled drivers with DDU Fresh install of GPU drivers Reseated the GPU Ensured power settings set to High Performance in Windows & Nvidia Control Panel Updated Windows Ensured RAM is in Dual Channel w/ XMP on (3000Mhz) Updated chipset drivers Updated BIOS Ensured Link Sate Power Management is switched to off Here is are my UserBenchmark results: https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/39019226 Here is a vid demonstrating my performance on GTA Here is a clip of me playing Doom 2016, GPU usage sitting at low 40% never going above 50% getting 100-120 FPS. Here is a clip of someone playing Doom Eternal on the same build, 98% GPU usage sitting at around 160-190 FPS constant.

My spec list is below: PCPartPicker Part List: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/YPzmJM CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X 3.7 GHz 6-Core Processor ($154.99 @ Newegg) Motherboard: NZXT N7 B550 ATX AM4 Motherboard ($237.99 @ Amazon) Memory: Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4-3600 CL18 Memory ($114.99 @ Newegg) Storage: Western Digital Black SN750 500 GB M.2-2280 PCIe 3.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive ($69.99 @ Newegg) Storage: Samsung 870 Evo 4 TB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($379.99 @ Amazon) Video Card: EVGA FTW3 ULTRA GAMING LHR GeForce RTX 3080 10GB LHR 10 GB Video Card ($999.99 @ Amazon) Case: NZXT H510 Elite ATX Mid Tower Case ($144.99 @ Amazon) Power Supply: Corsair RM850x (2021) 850 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply ($149.99 @ Amazon) Monitor: Acer XV252Q Zbmiiprx 24.5" 1920 x 1080 165Hz Monitor ($337.58 @ Amazon) Total: $2590.50 So I have no idea what is causing my low fps. A few theories i've had is my cpu is not cooling, its using a stock cooler. Could it be thermal throttling at ~80 degrees? The gpu/cpu ratio is good from what i've heard. My motherboard possibly? It's a niche board that could have QA problems. Case airflow has been an issue with the NZXT cases. My cpu could be shit with the stock cooler, or the cases is not providing enough airflow? An example of this low performance is the new MW2. When I booted my pc and started playing I was hitting 200-250 fps on ultra maxed graphics, 1440p. After about 20 mins, the framerate had dropped to around 130-145 range, and around an hour later down to 90-110fps where it seems to have bottomed out, as I ranged the resolution to native 1080p, and slightly reduce quality on settings with large vram impact. The benchmark of 1440p at ultra graphics with my cpu/gpu combo was giving them 240+ fps steadily. This occurs on just about every demanding game these days. Why am I unable to achieve the fps that I paid for? Note: My fps in benchmark scores seem to hold their ground with the norm. I also have all my drivers up to date, including chipset, graphics, you name it. I am more than willing to pay for solutions to this dilemma. My GPU utilization hovers around 50-75% in most demanding Triple-A titles. The same goes for CPU utilization. TLDR: I have a mid-high tier gaming pc and am not hitting the performance I see in benchmarks on youtube. What is being bottlenecked/underutilized to cause this?

Hello, A friend of mine has a Gigabyte 2080ti Aorus Extreme that's been watrer cooled, 64gb of Trident Z royal RAM, 1300 watt psu, i9 9900k etc. etc. We've been working on solving some issues with his card, we've managed to get it stable but it's severely under performing. His average heaven score is 3196, (extreme preset, windowed etc.) whereas the typical average is in the 5000 realm with a similar set up. Why could the card be under performing? I personally thought it could be the software conflicting with Nvidia drivers but I don't know that, that's the case at this juncture. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

GTX 1080ti I7-4790k 1000W Power supply corsair vengeance 16GB of Ram 1600mhz Gigabyte Ga-Z97x-Sli Motherboard 128gb ssd boot drive 2tb hard drive Hello, I built this pc about four years ago. I upgraded from a gtx 970 a few years ago and have noticed significant performance issues since then. I have never had the time to fully sit down and fix my computer with work and school at the same time. Now with quarantine I want to get back to gaming. CSGO: Average frame rate is 70 (playing on a low resolution as well) Call of duty modern warfare average framerate is 55 Rust average framerate is 40 Escape from Tarkov average framerate is 45 Dayz average framerate is 70 (suprising for me) Rocket League average framerate is 120 I don't understand why some games like CSGO have an extremely low framerate. I completely wiped my hard drive recently and reinstalled the newest drivers while using ddu to uninstall old drivers. Im really about to give up on PC gaming. It feels like such a headache.

Solution: If someone finds this thread, I hope I can help: I disabled HPET (high precision timer) and VT-d in the mobo's BIOS, and that solved my problem with the Witcher 3 and DOOM. Those are intel technologies that supposedly work with Win10 to improve performance, but in certain applications (such as these games) they have a negative impact. (I'm not too sure about VT-d, however. So if you use integrated graphics, you might want to leave that enabled.) On my board they were under the "Chipset" tag. (Gigabyte z270 hd3p f5) Original question: Hi everyone, I'd like at least an explanation why the following is going on with my setup. In some games, like Doom, The Witcher 3, Fallout 4 and Dark Souls 3, which are quite heavy games as far as I know, nothing in my pc works at its maximum potential. GPU usage is hovering between 40-80%, cpu usage stays around 30-60%, RAM usage is below 6gb, and yet framerate hardly ever reaches even 60 (during easy-to-run scenes). I have an i7 7700k, 8gb hyperx savage, and r9 280x, 680w 80+ gold psu, on Win10 64bit, a single 1920*1080@60 monitor. So far I've found these tips around the web, but they didn't help. Temps are controlled: max 55 on GPU, max 70 on CPU, top 140mm case fan pulling air over the ram. Clockspeeds are as they should be, they never drop under load: 1110/1510mhz (core/mem) on the 280x, 4.9Ghz on the i7, 2400mhz on the ram. There are no framerate limits: no v-sync, no rivatuner limit, no ingame limit Cpu power saving modes and AMD ULPS are disabled (through BIOS and Afterburner) DirectX, GPU driver, BIOS, games are all up to date. I used the latest DDU in safe mode, then installed 17.4.4 Crimson Running background applications are: Gigabyte AppCenter, Rapoo Mouse driver, Realtek audio and Intel rapid storage. I've tried setting the games' priority to high and real time, and have seen no visible improvement. Ingame graphics settings sometimes cause an increase in GPU usage, but still not >90%, framerate stays low (<60). Fullscreen/borderless modes bring no noticeable changes. Win 10 power plan is on high performance. Power connectors are securely attached. Monitor is connected to the 280x, not the mobo. Benchmarks can stress the individual components to 100%, no issue there. AMD control panel is currently not installed, so it can't interfere with anything, but removing it did not help the situation. Thanks for stopping by, and thanks for any insight in advance. In addition: The issue was present on my old AM3+ system, too. Windows had been reinstalled on that, because of corrupted thumbnail cache, but this issue had existed before that corruption, as well. The AM3+ and this Z270 mobo are both Gigabyte boards, but THAT can't be the problem, right?? (they both have the latest BIOS) Also, max bus speed is set to Gen3 in the BIOS. Furthermore: fallout 4, dark souls 3 and assassin's creed syndicate work fine, I'm a dumbass for mentioning them earlier, sorry.

Hello there, So I recently upgraded my PC from an Intel i5 4690K paired with an MSI R9 390 on an ASUS Z97-A to a Ryzen 7 1700 with an ASUS ROG GTX 1080 Ti Strix on an ASUS Prime x370 Pro Motherboard with two 8GB Corsair RAM sticks. Both HDD's, the SSD and the PSU (EVGA B2 750W) are being used in the new build as well. So after having finished the build, I naturally started testing some games, like Cities Skylines, CIV VI, The Witcher 3, Deus Ex Mankind Divided, Far Cry Primal, Hitman or Watch Dogs 2. And here's the problem. Almost all of them are running on low FPS - like 60ish. Considering that almost all of these games were running at a minimum of 70-80 FPS on High to Ultra settings on my previous build, reaching 60 FPS, with the Witcher 3 being the exception reaching about 70 FPS, is really slow for this new build. The funny thing is those FPS are the same on ALL settings. You would think, if it's a hardware related problem, the frames would tank, if you, for example, set Super Samling x2 in Hitman, but no, it stays exactly the same, with just the GPU usage going up a little, meaning there is undoubtedly more FPS to be gained, if there was no problem. I've also noticed that in Hitman, for example, the game is at about 150 FPS while at the loading screen and then suddenly drops to about 58 FPS, so I think it's somehow being forced to go down that much. I'm using a Freesync 1080P monitor, which I had bought for my previous AMD build. However, I did not disable Freesync, as it is permitting me to play at 75Hz compared to the 60Hz if disabled. I tried disabling it, but it's still the exact same. I also tried unplugging my second monitor, but that did not help either. However, there is one thing that is somewhat strange. I just installed Titanfall 2 on my PC and I'm getting very high FPS (around 150 FPS) as it should be, so maybe it's a problem with all the games? I didn't think of reinstalling them, as it's kind of a pain to do so. Also, I tried using both DX11 and DX 12 on most of the games, if they supported them both and was getting the same results. Also, VSync was disabled too. So I had a look at MSI Afterburner, and the GPU was not being exhausted at all, hovering between 30-50% and staying relatively cool at about 55°C, with a maximum of 65°C. Looking at RyzenMaster and HWmonitor for the CPU usage, I noticed the same thing: CPU staying at about 40-50% usage, while reaching a maximum of about 55°C. Looking at the task manager, I saw that there were no background applications running that would drastically decrease performance. Just the likes of TeamViewer or Dashlane (which I both disabled while troubleshooting too). I did not overclock anything so far, except using the D.O.C.P. on the RAM to reach its advertised 3000Mhz, which worked flawlessly. Prior to that, the problem also occured so it's not the D.O.C.P. that is causing a problem. I tried disabling MSI Afterburner, along with RivaTuner which supposedly causes problems sometimes - nothing. I also turned off Geforce Experience - nothing. I set Ryzen's Balanced power plan and also tried High Performance mode; still nothing. Before installing the new GPU I had used DDU to uninstall the AMD Crimson drivers and I also uninstalled anything Intel related later using Revo. All drivers are up-to-date and BIOS is also on the newest version. All power connectors, cables and plugs are attached correctly and were re-plugged a couple of times. There are 5 case fans installed so thermal throttling should and is not the problem, as all components are also staying relatively cool. I tried doing some benchmark runs, and both the CPU and the GPU were stressed to 100% and getting high scores. I considered doing a fresh install of Windows, as was recommended by AMD for Ryzen, but it's just too much of a pain to be done, so I was hoping somebody could help. I had a look at the following thread, and looked at the final solution, which was disabling Virtualisation (which is disabled by default on Ryzen) and disabling HPET. I did disable HPET, but still nothing changed, games are reaching about 60 FPS while not utilizing the GPU and CPU to their max. At this point, any help would be highly appreciated, so thank you kindly in advance!

Hello there people ! Okay so basically the story went like this : Had an SSD in my build played AAA games with my 4670k and GTX1060 + 8 GB of RAM everything worked fine. Had to switch out the SSD and bought a 1 TB WD Black HDD (I thought those are fast) now my system is eons slower and the games keep stuttering. BF1 is unplayable , BF4 on Ultra too and TF 2 lags every time I press any function button that changes my volume or starts the browser or anything alike. My Build is suited in a mid tower desktop PC and temps look fine. I still run the standard Intel cooler on my 4670k (not OC'ed) I thought with my upgrade from the GTX660 to the 1060 I could enjoy some quality 60 FPS gameplay back home but boy was I wrong. So this is where you people need to step in and save my ass - My thoughts so far : Need to Upgrade to 16 GB of Ram ? Overclock the CPU with a new Cooling Solution ? (Buy a new LGA 1150 Cpu ?) Buy another SSD ? I am really looking forward to your opinion boys and girls ! Thank you in Advance, Adil PS: Gintama is a great series

Hey guys,so basically my sytem was doing fine until last week or so. I was able to run my favourite games stable at high framerates with an average low cpu use and high gpu use like you would expect it ( Overwatch was running at constant 250-300 fps on 1080p low). Now since last week something has changed that without me doing anything. As soon as i start any 3D application my CPU usage spikes up to constant 100% without reason. My GPU is completely bottlenecked and runs at 40-50% max. Both temps are fine however. In games like Overwatch or BF1 i am constantly getting the bad connectivity symbol and the games feel a bit laggy and my shots are not connecting sometimes. I already checked for background programs to hurt the cpu but it is only the games that are taking like 90 percent of the cpu load. Minimizing the Witcher 3 and trying to maximize it again even caused my system to shut down. Both the gpu and cpu do not get thermal throttled and games use all 4 cores. So here is what i already tried to fix this: installing old nvidia drivers, resetting both overclocks, reset bios, clean intstalation windows, set priorities to low and high, change compability mode, set max prerendered frames to 1, uninstall gpu and cpu in the device manager, used driver booster to update the driversMy specs: i5 6600k OC to 4,2 Ghz, gtx 1070 oc, 16GB RAM, Win 10 ProIf you can think of anything that causes this weird problem please let me know (and please dont tell me that the games are just maximizing my cpu potential and that this is all fine, there is definetly a performance loss)Thanks is advance

HELLO! So I'm writing here to try and solve a problem I've been having. My PC has what i believe to be fairly good (above average) specs. I invested good money into the parts and everything. However, the performance of the PC has just been underwhelming thus far. I'm struggling to get over 60 fps in most games (Overwatch, Dying Light, Dishonored) which I should be getting comparing the recommended specs of the games with my own PC specs. Sadly most games run at 40-50 or even less. It's just been a really troubling issue and nothing I have tried has fixed it. I'm pretty sure my drivers are up to date which seems to be the main solution for most. But I'm still getting really bad fps. Just wondering if there are any tips or solutions? Would reformatting the PC completely, cleaning up all the files and stuff, make it run better? Thanks! PC specs: GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-6600K CPU @ 3.50GHz, 3501 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 4 Logical Processor(s) RAM: 8.00 GB OS: Windows 10 (64 bit) Motherboard: Z170 PRO GAMING If there is anymore information you need about my PC I will obtain it for you. Thank you very much for any help provided.

This build has provided an intriguing, yet frustrating issue. My setup (https://pcpartpicker.com/list/2zyyNN) has offered a peculiar case of GPU usage. Newer titles like Mad Max, Tomb Raider 2013, and Shadow of Mordor allow for ultra/60fps glory. GPU usage is 97-99%, ram stays at 3GB, and CPU usage is 40-60% across all cores. Games like Saints Row 3, Saints Row 4, Far Cry 3, and Borderlands 2 frequently dip down into the 30fps range. The usage numbers, however, are what truly freak me out. GPU usage stays at around 30-60% when looking at intense scenes (explosion, gunfire sparks, fast driving), but shoots up to 80-90% when looking at something less demanding (having a staring contest with a wall). CPU usage for all titles remains mostly the same, with the common exception of a lone core going up to 80-90% usage. Ram usage is fine. I've taken the following measures to try and absolve my situation: Reinstalled Windows Updated BIOS and drivers Set Nvidia power settings to max, and Windows power settings to Ryzen Balanced (heard that this forced the constant usage of all CPU cores) but with the PCIE bus power settings to "none" Checked that all clock speeds were as advertised Played without Vsync at 1080p Never installed Geforce Experience Didn't overclock Determined that various fullscreen/borderless modes have no impact Argued with Reddit users in a similar post about how restating that something was wrong is less helpful than actually helping me Thank you for taking your time to read this far, and any input is greatly appreciated.

Hi, a couple of weeks ago I posted this on the PC Master Race Reddit and no one helped me. I started watching Linus videos and I trust much more in this community so here is the original post: "Hello everyone, first of all I would like to clarify that I do not usually post anything here so I do not know if it is the appropriate place to ask for help on this subject, but as I will explain below I am using it as a last resort. A little over three months ago I bought a GTX 1070 G1. At first I just wanted to change the graphics card, but the performance of my PC was not even close to what it had to be, so I gradually changed my components until, finally, there is nothing left of the original PC except of a disc player and 1TB hard drive that I use as a secondary hard drive. The last thing I changed was the hard drive, for an SSD, and that was what almost fixed the problem. At first I could not move almost any new generation game with max settings, now those problems have disappeared except for four games in particular: Titanfall: It's perfect on in almost any map except in some, where it drops to 50FPS. These maps are usually those with water or some special feature like more vegetation etc. Assassin's Creed Syndicate: After the latest update of Nvidia drivers it works much better, I still have to put the Antialiasing in FXAA and the quality of the environment very high so that it runs at 60 FPS and they also go down. Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare (Campaign): I play at max settings, but there are lag spikes and frame drops to 50FPS or sometimes lower. Far Cry 4: I have had to lower the Antialiasing to SMAA and the shadows to Ultra for it to work well, but still, it bothers me not being able to play it to the maximum. There are some other minimal problems when going fast in Batman Arkham Knight and GTAV but they are almost not noticeable. On the other hand I can play games like Battlefield 4 and Black Ops 3 at max settings and I have no problems. If you need any other information to identify the problem with those games please tell me. My specifications are as follows: - GTX 1070 G1 - i7-6700K - 8GB RAM (Kingston FuryX 2133Mhz) - SanDisk Ultra II SSD 960GB SATA3 - ASUS Aura b150 Pro Gaming Aura Board - Tacens Valeo V 800W 80 Plus Silver Modular Power Supply Sorry for my bad English, but I'm not native. I hope it has been understandable and you can help me, after spending so much money on the PC Master Race it feels terrible not to be unconcerned about the games going smoothly. I also did a 3dMark benchmark: http://www.3dmark.com/fs/11099475 Greetings. EDIT: I'm running the latest version of Windows 10, I always play at 1080p and I think I have the latest drivers for everything, but I only updated manually the graphics card. For example I didn't use the instalation disc for the motherboard but I trust Windows Update updated it." Now I have tried Battlefield 1 and in some maps with fog the frames drop. After that I decided to overclock my graphics card and my CPU and the game runs much better, but it still bothers me. And other thing, when I overclocked my i7-6700k following Linus' video I couldn't overclock it passed the 4'2Mhz. Thanks for helping.

System specs Fx 6100 ASUS Strix RX 470 8GB of HyperX Ram Asrock 960GM-VGS3 FX So my friend got a 470 about a month ago and when he first used it in games such as rust, he got the same or worse performance than his 750 ti did. He gets 35 fps on the highest settings at 1080p. According to a video he should be getting 60+ fps. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7MZiWr61s3E He is using the latest drivers. He said sometimes the GPu. says 0% usage.

bad performance Getting Low FPS, Low GPU & CPU Usage
xxsniperlord68 posted a topic in Graphics Cards
For a while now I've been experiencing low GPU and CPU usage in all of the games I have played. I have tried many solutions that had worked for others but they never work for me. SPECS: asus b250m-c i7 7700 gtx 1070ti 8gb ddr4 ram 2 ssds windows 10 *my temps are fine, i have a hyper 212 for my cpu* I feel that my motherboard is causing the problem since I have tried literally everything in windows and a couple of things in my bios. Please just give me any solution possible. This has been so annoying to deal with, I have a ss of my typical performance in games (OBS brought fps down a bit, usage stayed the same) That 20-30% gpu and cpu usage is usually what i get throughout all my games. Id like every suggestion possible pls I also have a video of my performance on rust: -
I've been having this problem for about a week now. I don't know what happened but I've been getting sub-par performance and it's driving me insane. I've tried everything possible that I can think of and nothing's working. Out of no where I started getting stuttering with my 1080 Founders edition. I had a 2080 Ti and didn't install it yet because I needed to find my PSU power cables in a storage unit after I moved. So I thought my card was thermal throttling since I saw the voltage dipping. So I finally went and dug out the power cable and installed my 2080 Ti thinking it was just my old card. Even with the new card I'm still getting stuttering. I've Uninstalled my drivers with DDU, and installed new drivers in safe mode to ensure that windows wouldn't install a video driver. I'm not using on board graphics. I have my card in prefer max performance in the Nvidia control panel. I'm on high performance in Windows. I've went back to previous versions of Windows (I'm on Windows 10, on 1803 and went back to 1709.) Tried the nuclear option and reinstalled windows 3 times. I have high performance selected in my BIOS. Tried G-Sync on, off, V-Sync on, off, still nothing. Installed games to an SSD, still stuttering. Tried rolling back drivers too. I'm back on the latest Nvidia drivers thinking it would fix it, no such luck. Even with Chrome not running I'm getting stuttering. Before this happened, I wouldn't get stuttering even with Chrome running. Also I didn't edit any settings in my BIOS before this happened. All my drivers are up to date. Also experienced stuttering in Heaven. l I'm at my wits end. Specs: CPU: i7-8700K GPU: RTX 2080 Ti Motherboard: Gigabyte Z370 RAM: G.Skill Trident z, 32 Gigs, 3200 MHz PSU: EVGA Supernova 850 G2L Multiple Terabytes of storage, and windows installed on an SSD

I have been playing GTA V on my desktop without performance issues since 2015, my specs were: i7 2600k @ 4.6ghz 16gb RAM 7200rpm HD GTX 970 SC With the specs above, I was able to play just fine @ 1080p around 60fps Recently I bought a new GPU, going from the GTX 970 SC to a GTX 1070ti SC Yesterday I booted GTA V for the first time since the GPU upgrade, and for my surprise, the performance was abysmal. I'll list the issues: 1. Start menu/main menu abysmal performance Launching the game, I was granted with a very stuttery menu, steam was saying that it was around 35fps, but moving my mouse felt more like 10fps Opening nVidia inspector I noticed that my GPU was at 100% usage on the menu 2. Bad ingame performance Even at 1080p and medium settings, I wasn't able to reach 60fps at GTA online, I tried lowering to 800x600 at 0,5 frame scalling, and was still below 80fps 3. Constant micro stutters + eventual macro stutters The game is stuttering really bad all the time, even walking around inside a garage, the game still stutters, and trying to drive around town was a pain with eventual hangs that could last almost 1 second Some aditional information: After installing the 1070ti, I updated the driver to version 399.24 doing a clean installation. I already used steam to verify integrity and no issue was found I know that usually stutters in GTA are caused by slow HD, but I'm using the same HD that worked just fine before the GPU upgrade, and I even moved the game folder to a newer HD just to test, but had the same issues Does anyone knows what could be the issue, and how to fix it?

Hello, A friend of mine is having an issue right now and I was wondering if you could lend him a hand. He downloaded Metro 2033 like a boss and while playing it for the first time he had a problem with the monitor's resolution, which he couldn't fix with the exception of changing monitors, because every time he would restart his pc, it'd say "Signal out of range 65 khz / 60 hz". After this contingency he changed between his two monitors several times trying to fix his issue, but out of the blue all the games he played started performing like Venezuela's economic system. Monitor's names: Samsung syncmaster 2030n LG19m35
