Hello LTT forums! I'm looking at getting a new watch (mine broke) and I thought eh, why not try out at a smart watch. I do have some experience with smart watches and Android Wear smart watches but have not spent proper time with it (not on my wrist for significant enough time). With that in mind, I wouldn't mind giving it a try. In the poll are a few that I narrowed down to, that first fit the budget and look attractive to me, tho i dont really like the flat tyre bellow the 360 and the Q. Any suggestions and feedback? Christmas' round da corner Thanks!

I currently have a Samsung Galaxy S8, and I want to get a good smartwatch to go with it. I have looked at the gear s3, but it seems like it doesn't have many apps, the fitness tracking is bad, and I despise those bubbly-looking icons on Samsung devices. I've looked at a few others, but they all seem to have a few glaring issues. I'm looking for a decent watch that looks nice and performs nicely. Any suggestions?

I currently have a Samsung Gear Live and I love this watch, but it's getting old and I've already had to replace the battery after it stopped charging. I've found out that it is not scheduled to get the update to Android Wear 2.0/Wear OS, so I'm reluctantly looking at a new watch. I'm aiming for a Android Wear 2.0 device with a square screen, but there doesn't seem to be many on the market anymore. I prefer not to get a round screen, especially those with the "flat tire" screens, so I'm trying to see what else is out there. I've looked at the Zenwatch 2 so far, but even that is starting to look a little old and barely made the cut for Wear 2.0. What bothers me is the specs on that device are nearly identical to my Gear Live, so I don't understand how it's supposed to be so much better, or why it gets the Wear 2.0 upgrade and mine doesn't. Are there any other nice looking square Wear 2.0 devices that are still good in 2018? I like the more sleek looks of the Gear Live and Zenwatch 2, but it seems like the square watch is a dying breed among Android Wear devices.

Does anyone know where to find the official out of the box LG watch bands for the LG watch urbane, I know that you can use 22mm bands, but I really like the originals I can't find them anywhere.

So yesterday I impulse-bought a Moto 360 Gen 2 (46mm Mens) to pair with my Oneplus One after loving the Moto 360 for quite a long time. At the store there was no problem at all and the lady opened the box and set it up for me (could've done it myself, but they insisted). Upon getting home I realized that my moto 360 was set up incorrectly with the language "English (United States)" rather than real english - the UK version. This meant that besides the fact half the words were spelt differently wrong, I was also forced into using Imperial units on maps & weather. I googled around and found the only way to change the language setting on your android wear device is to factory reset it -- what the fuck?. So I factory reset and changed the language on startup to English (UK) and now my phone flat out refuses to connect. It comes up with "Cant communicate with Moto 360 1E41" on a loop and no matter what I do, reseting my watch, rebooting both devices, rebooting the wifi, toggling bluetooth. Nothing works. I managed to find one spot in the whole house where the 2 will connect to eachother and that is on the left side of my keyboard, no where else will they connect to eachother. Now that they're connected the watch says "Disconnected" and the phone says either Connected or Trying to connect- but no apps work, I get no notifications, google now wont work and it wont sync any apps over (such as spotify / play music). I've done this several times and am just about ready to take the watch back and get a refund. Am I doing something obviously wrong or is Android wear with the 360 gen 2 just that bad? I see quite a few articles on wear woes. Oneplus One 64GB (Android 5.1.1, Cyanogen 12.1.1) Moto 360 Gen 2 46mm Mens (Android Wear 1.3.0.2230669, Google Play Services 8.1.07, Build LLA44S)

So my Nexus 6 has an annoyingly loud vibration motor in it, however my Sony SmartWatch 3 has a nice and quiet vibration motor, and because it's on my wrist I actually feel it (unlike my phone which usually lives in my pocket). I used to be able to put my phone in do not disturb mode so it didn't vibrate but my watch would not go into do not disturb mode and therefore still vibrate, which I liked. However, this morning I updated my SW3 and now when I put my phone in do not disturb, it does the same on the watch, meaning I don't get my notifications anywhere unless I manually check my phone or watch, and when I take my watch out of do not disturb, it takes my phone out of do not disturb also, meaning I get the notification my my wrist along with the noises of earthquakes from my phone. Does anyone have any idea how I can disable the vibration on my phone for notifications while leaving the vibration on my watch enabled? Thanks! PS - not sure if it's too important but it's the Motorola Nexus 6, not the Huawei Nexus 6P. UPDATE: I found the button, just look in the settings screen of the Android Wear app (ignore the really artistic circling - I just did it quickly in MS Paint)

LG Watch Urbane have been released for a very long time and last month I decided to get one. This is my first smartwatch I ever owned and used. Since Linus never reviewed this watch, and I am not able to find any member review about this watch in LTT forum. here's my take on LG Watch Urbane 1st gen. Link to full album of image of the watch (http://imgur.com/a/q2qPX) Packaging and Accessory The watch comes in a pretty mediocre packaging even though the price is quite premium. The box it comes in doesn't really show it's price tag. But the accesory it comes with is pretty good. Each accessory comes in the little brown box you see in the picture. Hardware and Appereance The watch body is stainless steel, but the bottom is plastic with brushed look. The watch body is considerably relatively thick and big. it definetely not suitable for small hands. The crown part of the watch is brushed stainless steel. For me personally it looks good. It looks like a premium WATCH. Yes. The LG Watch Urbane looks like a watch, not like a gadget like peeble (to be fair, I like peeble too. but the price difference in where I live is pretty close with the urbane so I got urbane instead). Wherever I go, if people doesn't see my notification pop on the screen, or see me fiddling with the watch, they won't really notice that it is a smartwatch. When people do notice, they went crazy, everyone wants to try it and everyone wants to see it in action. The watch uses standard 22mm strap with spring loaded pin. It's not that easy to change it, unlike moto360 you kinda need to use tools and risk scratching the watch when trying to change the strap, which is a small downside but I can live with it. The strap it comes with is tough, it took me 2 weeks of daily use to make it more comfortable. if you buy the gold color watch, you'll get different color strap which is brown if I am not wrong. The screen is actually really good. It uses real glass not plastic. The text look crisp on reasonable range (obviously I won't put my watch near my face). Screen brightness on low is pretty good, but for outdoor even on full brightness it's not bright enough. Also talking about outdoor, this watch doesn't have ambient light sensor. Which is kinda annoying. There are times where I can barely see my watch screen. Battery Life The battery (410mAH) in this watch is bigger than most smartwatch out there. it definetely last me at least a day if nothing goes wrong (More on that later). on standby (screen off) it use little power which is pretty nice. on a normal day it left me with 50-60% battery life left at the end of the day (7 A.M. to 8 P.M.) To charge the watch, it uses propietary craddle, it doesn't have wireless charging like moto 360. The charger it comes with is not the best. The cable is pretty thin, it is also not very long (aroung 1 meter in length). The connection between the cable and the craddle use the usuall micro USB and it is removeable which is pretty neat if the cable need to be replaced. Software and Usability This part is the biggest upset of this watch. The software is as stable as rock trying to balance itself on another rock. I have never went through 3 days without needing to restart my watch at least once. The watch freezes and lags after a day and a half without restarting it. There are also occasional "android wear stopped working" error. which is easily fixable by tapping ok. (this will restart the android wear not the watch) Not all application works. for example amazon app for the watch doesn't work. when opening an application it took 2-4 second from tapping the app. usually when trying to open an app it went like this: app selection -> watch face for 2-4 seconds -> application. There are random battery drain. Which can last from 15 minutes to 3 hour (sometimes 4 hours) (this consumes from 10% to 40% of battery depending on the duration of the drain) . usually this happens when I sleep. The watch gets warm at these times. This forces me to charge the watch at least every 1,5 days. All of these are known problems on android wear 5.1.1, hopefully this will be fixed in android wear 6. as the android wear itself is maturing as the time goes by. But when the software works, it works really well. it gives me notification which in turns saves me from getting my phone from my pocket, and wasting the phone battery by waking it up everytime a notification comes in. Conclusion This watch and android wear is in process of maturing. The biggest problem I had with this watch is the software. The android wear is not mature enough for me, there are battery drain, crashes, lags, frezees in this software and I experience it on daily basis. As for the watch, it is maturing, but it is pretty good IMO. LG is releasing the second generation of urbane which have LTE which seems to be a pretty good one too, and there are also Moto 260 2nd gend, and Huawei watch which looks beautiful. I think there are better option than LG watch urbane 1st gen now. Link to full album of image of the watch (http://imgur.com/a/q2qPX)

I am using a new zenwatch 2 with my iphone 5s and I can't get it to show the watch face all the time. I have always on screen turned on but the watch screen still turns completely off. When I contacted asus they told me to try resetting the device but that didn't help. I am running all the current versions for phone, app and watch.

I want to get another smart watch ( previously owned the moto 360 and liked it for the most part except the design). I am unfamiliar with the current batch of Android wear smart watches and wanted some suggesstions as to what to get. I like that the LG and the Huawei watches have a full circular display. Wasnt a big fan of the 360's flat tire. Besides asthetics, what separates these smart watches from one another?

I currently have a Sony Smartwatch 2, and as much as I love it, its been 3 years and I feel like its time to jump to Android Wear, and I need help deciding whether to get the First Gen Moto 360 or the LG G Watch R, I'm leaning towards the LG because the screen stays on all day but I wonder if some Moto 360 users would be able to sway me. I'm used to getting a week of battery life on the Sony, but I'd be willing to charge it everyday because it doesn't seem like to much of a hassle. If anyone has another Android Wear watch they'd like to recommenced as long its under 200$ I'd be willing to look at it. TL;DR Which one is worth my money Vote: http://strawpoll.me/5446600

Asus just unveiled the successor to the original Zen watch at IFA in Berlin. The new zen watch will come at the same aggressive price the Zen watch was known for. Weirdly now that it has size options, the larger watch is actually cheaper. The zen watch comes with an AMOLED display and a snapdragon 400, to also features a new watch crown along with magnetic charging. It's always nice to see newer watches in the android wear space, while the Zenwatch never had anything groundbreaking it wad quite the good looker for price. So I recently sent my Moto 360 off because the back was terribly cracked (the cracked back is actually covered under warranty if any of you have that problem). I got the replacement this morning and it won't connect. I already forgot my old watch in android wear and connect, even tried reinstalling both apps. I've factory reset set the watch many times, and restarted my phone a couple times as well. My phone (HTC M8) finds the watch almost immediately, just won't connect. My original watch was working fine before I sent it off and got the replacement. When the watch starts up, I get the "install android wear" screen. So I go to android wear and try to connect. When I select the watch to pair, the pairing screen to confirm the code pops up on the watch for just a second and then goes away. It goes away before I can check yes or no to connect. The few times I've been able to hit the yes check, my phone goes straight to the "couldn't pair" screen. I've even tried connecting straight through the bluetooth settings and the same general thing happens. Anyone have similar problems or some way to get this working? Thanks!

LG just announced their first all metal smartwatch through a press statement, called the "Watch Urbane". As the title suggested, this watch is made of metal,. In fact it looks like a G Watch R with a metal casing. It has a similar specs as the G Watch R, Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chip, 1.3-inch, circular plastic OLED screen, powered by Android Wear, and etc. But it comes in two colors, polished silver and gold finish, and it is complemented by a beautifully stitched natural leather strap for a more classic look (as LG said in their press statement). Also the strap can be replaced by any 22mm wide band. LG will show off this Watch Urbane at Mobile World Congress, and no info on pricing and availability was announced in the press statement. IMO, it looks better than the Apple Watch, but it's not my cup of tea. I hope LG would make a metal version of the G Watch R, as I like G Watch R's design more than that of the Moto 360(and this watch). http://www.lgnewsroom.com/newsroom/contents/64948 http://techcrunch.com/2015/02/15/lg-watch-urbane/ http://www.designntrend.com/articles/40051/20150216/lg-s-metal-watch-urbane-non-geek-audience-high-fashion.htm

As the title says, I have one stuck white pixel on nearing the top right of the display, I have had this device for one week now and I was hoping the stuck pixel would go away by now but it is still here... As you know the watch is extremely hard to get here in Aus and they are always out of stock (I bought it in store), so I can't simply go to the store and replace it, also it is just ONE PIXEL so even if the store had it in stock they probably won't replace it. So that is why I want to try and wake up that pixel my self, I have tried everything in this really smart Reddit post: http://www.reddit.com/r/moto360/comments/2gwvmm/tutorial_how_to_fix_stuck_pixels/ I tried running that for 20mins and nothing My OCD has been killing me from the inside over the course of one week, any thoughts on what I should do? Thanks! EDIT: I was running Jscreenfix again for 25mins, and no result I stopped Jscreenfix there because the device was getting very hot to the touch, the battery went to 50c according to an android wear temp monitor (Can't monitor CPU temps on the M360)

Well, title says it all. Reply with pictures, comments, reviews, recommendations, plans to dominate the world with your super powered watch, flaws, stories, or whatever you'd like that's smartwatch relevant. Included with this post is my Gold Moto 360 or 369 if you're mentally 10 years old (don't worry, I am too). When I received it it didn't fit my fairly sized wrist and I had to get it re-sized with the extra links included. Actually the process to get the to the store was long, I walked around the mall a few times looking for the place and I gave up and called them and had a service front desk guy walk me through to the place. By the way the place is called Tourneau in Garden State Plaza in New Jersey. Really nice place, I had to way half an hour for a very large Iranian watchmaker to re-size it and I met a Scottish guy asking his son 'if he'd fancy a nice watch'. All in all Motorola should have really put in a larger/mediocre wrist sized since it only fit one of my friends' wrists and he looks like an eight year old.

Android 5.0 Lollipop has just been announced, and would be available on 3rd Nov. But Android 5.0 Lollipop may not be the only Android we get on that day. Founder of Android Police, Artem Russakovskii, posted on his Google+ page, claiming that the next version of Android Wear, Android Wear 2.0, maybe coming along Lollipop on 3rd Nov as well. There are no rumors or leaks about new features and updates of this new version of Android Wear. Since a new version of Android is announced, it is not a surprise for Google to update a variation of Android to the latest version. But still there are no official words from Google about the next version of Android Wear.
