Hello guys! So the other there, one of my friends wanted to get some scripts on a Roblox game (neither did I or he know that, the respective game did not have scripts for a while) and since I used some scripts in the past, I advised him to proceed with caution. So he downloaded a injector with some scripts, but in the installation setup he had to allow all oh those crappy bloatware and spam, however I told him to just skip those, but he did not. After he did all that, a bunch of windows CMD'S and also a lot of google tabs. Then hes PC crashed, and he got security alerts from all of his Google Accs., and right after that, his Steam Acc. and Discord Acc. started sending those weirds mesaages to all his friends, to click on a link for something free and stuff, after that he reinstalled windows and created new passwords. It all went great, until yesterday when all of this stuff happened again. So what is to do? Im guessing that the virus had some kind of deep roots that it restared again, since he didnt do shady stuff after the reinstall. Can you guys help me and him with this? Also, I am sorry if i picked the wrong topic.

Hi there, I would run a little buisness, something like rent gaming computers, like cybercoffees I wish I could get some help to set it up, like witch apps/software should I get. I doesn't matter if I shall subscribe or buy it. The plan is getting a pool of 20+ gaming PCs and 1 admin to manage customers accounts and renting time. all of this in local network. it should run like that : 1. customer comes in, I set up a login account for him. 2. the said customer pay for an amount of time like 1hour for exemple, then take a seat on the pc he wish to use. 3. he logs in and then can use is until the timer is off. 4. If the customer want to extend the time he would pay an other hour or 15mins then I could add this extend to the management software. 5. time's up, the software log out automaticaly the customer. It would be nice if a software could overlay the default windows desktop and limit the access to whatever I can set up as admin like games launchers or else. Also, some customers would come to get wi-fi acess with their phones/tablets/own laptopss, If I could set up a webpage firewall with the same functionalities, it would be great. thank for reading and thank for your help.

I know, this is extremely idiotic of me to ask. I need to help a friend out with the situation and it matters alot They know the google account email and passwords but have lost the SIM that is associated with the 2FA on the account. No email is set up for a backup and when following up with the relevant options on googles recovery page, we are led to this. I am fairly certain that any other details associated with the account are also known but just can't seem to make any use of them in recovery. No backup codes have been set for this email either (yes I know). Is there any way I can make use of any of the other details on this account or haggle my way through?

Hello there, I wanted to limit the times the main account (Administrator account) of my PC can login. Because it's not a local user, I used the "net user [user] /time" command in PowerShell. The command didn't spit out any errors or something and when I checked back with "net user [user]", it showed the correct time intervals. However, I can still login to this account without any problems, as if the time restrictions didn't exist. I tried restarting my PC multiple times and even tried it on another, non-Admin account, but the command seems to be doing absolutely nothing. Any ideas why? Edit: I tried setting the time limits while being logged on to an Admin and a non-Admin account and setting the limits for Admin and non-Admin account, none of these combinations worked

Hi everyone, When mulitple users utilize Outlook 2016 on the same computer and sign in with their respective accounts, how does that affect the profiles that appear under Mail in Control panel? For instance, Suzy and John use the same computer because they have different shifts. Suzy signs into Outlook in the morning with her account. John signs in with his account in the afternoon. Can each user have multiple profiles? How are they associated with their respective accounts? What does Mail under Control panel look like if Suzy has 2 profiles under her account, and John has 3 profiles under his account. Let's say Suzy has a Self Employed Business profile and her 9-5 job profile. Let's say John has 9-5 job profile, Self Employed Profile, and is weird and has a profile with his kid's emails inboxes. See what I'm saying? Thanks.

So, question for anyone who can answer. If we have our floatplane accounts, is there a plan to integrate that with the floatplane.com site, or do we need another account there as well as what we have here? Furthermore, since I buy floatplane annually, and it is just about to renew, how will that carry over to the official site? If one of @LinusTech @Slick @nicklmg could follow up on this, that'd be splendid. Thanks!

Hi, I have a home server where I have my RAID array (have all of my steam games) and a pretty decent graphic card. I tried having 2 users stream on this PC, of course at different times but steam see the server but doesn't want to stream if i'm connected with Steam account "A". When the account "B" is logged in, then I can't stream on it. I have family sharing on, on the 3 PC's In the "In-Home Streaming" tab in Settings, I see my pc and laptop as "logged in as me" and the Server as "logged in as different User" Any way to fix that?

Is there an easy way to transfer different things individually from one Google account to another? I want to transfer the contacts, photos and possible a couple other things from one account to the other, but not all the rest of the stuff associated with the old account. Manually doing this would be quite the chore.

Hello all, I was trying to change file directories to my hard drive as I have run out of space on my SSD and it is full of important programs that need to be quick to launch and do stuff like Inventor and Photoshop. But as I was checking to make sure everything worked, I went into the WindowsApps folder to make sure that when I changed the destination for new apps, that it goes into a folder, as I double clicked it came up with that I don't have permission to access this folder, even tho its my personal machine and im the admin, so I click on it and it goes through the whole process of going you don't have the right permissions, and as I look at what principles might be blocking me, hoping its just a windows thing, I am across this principal. I don't know what it is but I can change anything about it and even delete it as if it is windows, so I windows support search it and it comes back with someone who had the same problem, and Microsoft replying "oh it might be a virus or malware". im confused because I have Norton because safety online and because I go to font and other sights for materials and stuff like that, I wanted something a little more. Norton didn't come up with anything on my last full system scans that happen every couple of weeks to make sure I don't get anything that I don't want. so I decided to install Malwarebytes and try them, because I have run into malware before and this fixed it up on my laptop. its still going currently going through my 4tb of data, so who knows how long it will take. but down to the question, can anyone shed some light on this, like other forums just have people using command line to go around the problem, but I want to know if it is actually a problem, or is it just a windows thing. Cheers

Hello I have a poweredge r610 running windows server 2016 data center. I am not sure how to do this or if this is possible. I want to be able to have multiple people login using remote desktop to there local account on the server. For example I have 3 local accounts running Administrator,Finley,David David is a non administrator account Now I want to be able to login to Administrator account/desktop etc while Finley is logged in on Hess account doing Hess stuff on the server so I wont interfere at all with him and at the same time David or even more users can login to it. What I have seen from VMware and other virtualization software is that you can only give so mutch of the cpu and memory but with this I would like to give them all full access to it. The server it self has 192GB memory so would like for them to be able to use it instead of not being able to in VMware. I hope you can point in the right direction but I have no idea where to start for this.

Mabey I could install windows on that and boot from that every time I want to use mods? I'm running windows 10 home and I installed gta v from steam if it helps.

Source: https://www.cnet.com/news/commonwealth-bank-of-australia-financial-data-breach-20-million-accounts/ The Commonwealth Bank of Australia has lost the records of over 20 million accounts, over 12 millions customers, when a subcontractor lost two magnetic data storage tapes containing the records in 2016. Now by lost they don't necessarily mean THEY don't still have all this information, but that others may now be in possession of said information. I didn't think anyone even still used magnetic tape. If they were meant to be destroyed anyway why weren't they scrubbed before moving? It takes 2 seconds. One magnet... all it takes. Even other archival media, other institutions, other data types, more care should be taken to secure or destroy the data before any attempt to move it or access for third parties is allowed. I'm not sure I like an institution like this not making such a breach known much sooner. I'm not sure if its a government institution, or a private one under charter, or what. Depending on their operations is that enough data to compromise accounts? Allow for identity theft? All data security starts as physical security. How many other institutions may operate similarly? May allow deprecated technology to be handled in a less secure manner than is prudent? We can take some solace in knowing most people wouldn't even know what these tapes were or how they could be accessed. But security by obscurity is no real security.

I'm currently using windows 10 education which i got from my college, firstly i used the default profile you setup as my main account and created another local account for my family, however after a few reboots, my default profile which i set up as me personal account is missing from the lock page. Looking in to the local users in control panel, i am unable to find my default account anywhere, but it appears in the administrator group. Is there anyway i can migrate the account over to become a local account or to make the account not disappear from the lock page ? edit: noticed the topic error, sorry its NOT about windows 7 but windows 10

S-tunes.. The company launched a new pricing plan on Monday that will allow groups of people to save some cash by creating a joint subscription under one bill. The plan will have all the benefits of Spotify Premium, including no ads and offline playlists. Under the plan, the cost of the first person added to the account will still be $9.99 per month & the same as normal Spotify Premium, but every additional person will cost 50 percent of that. You can add up to five people to one joint account, so instead of paying $50 for five subscriptions, you can now team up to get the cost below $30. Your account. Your music. With Spotify Family, everyone gets their very own account. Enjoy separate playlists and recommendations and play your music whenever you like. Premium for everyone. Everyone on the plan gets the full Spotify Premium experience. Listen offline. Play any song, anytime, on any device. No restrictions. No ads. The more the merrier. Having a family can be expensive. But music doesn’t have to be. With Spotify Family, you can add up to four family members to your account, and each additional user gets 50% off Spotify Premium. No tantrums. No more fighting over what to listen to, and no more interruptions when someone else logs in and starts playing. The company has said it already has more than 10 million people paying for a subscription, and 40 million users overall. The discounts, made with the blessings of the music labels, could help boost those numbers Unlike other streaming services, like Netflix and HBO Go, Spotify has made it next to impossible to secretly split a paid account with a friend, since the service doesn't allow premium members to stream music on multiple devices at the same time. With the family plan, the only thing that's shared is the bill: Every user will have his or her own account, complete with separate playlists and curated recommendations. The blog post states that the service will roll out globally over the upcoming weeks. Not Just Spotify, Apple also thinks streaming music should cost less. Spotify agrees Apple has been pushing the labels for more extensive price cuts. It wants to relaunch the Beats music subscription which it brought, next year, and industry scuttlebutt is that it’s trying to get the price cut in half, to $5 a month Apple’s best iTunes buyers spend about $60 a year on downloaded music — $5 a month. So if subscription services dropped that low, any download buyers that switched over to the streaming model would generate just as much revenue for the music labels. And, more important, the market of potential subscribers would get much larger Bonus: https://press.spotify.com/us/2014/10/20/introducing-spotify-family-now-the-whole-band-can-play/ http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/10/20/spotify-family-plan_n_6014606.html Post your thoughts & rants down below... I don't know if this has been asked before (I can't be the first to notice) but I didn't really know what to search I've attached a screenshot of the currently online members, and there are several, greyed out accounts that you can't click, and they all have names like 'Google' or 'Facebook' etc etc. Does anyone know what these are for? I thought that the 'Google', 'Yahoo' and 'Bing' ones could be for Indexing, but that doesn't explain the 'Facebook' one...

Hi guys, So we are testing out domain logins for our users. Well, their domain name == their local user name. So when they log into the computer & domain, the folder under C:\Users is this: jdoe.DOMAIN because there's already a jdoe for the local account. My question is: Does the environment variable %USERNAME% include that Domain? So say I said to create a folder in the C:\Users\%USERNAME%\Documents directory, would that end up being C:\Users\jdoe\Documents or C:\Users\jdoe.DOMAIN\Documents? I'm assuming the former which explains why folder creation isn't working. Would %USERPROFILE% bypass this, such as %USERPROFILE%\Documents? Any help is appreciated, thanks.
