Hey! I just bought a 3000 series of graphics cards from MSI. I installed it as usual and everything and after I installed the drivers it stopped giving a signal to my screen. I have tried uninstalling the drivers also with ddu. but now my computer does not detect it and it is not in the device manager even when I have checked show hidden. My previous graphics card works in the compute and its also work to run from the motherboard. Things i have tried change the cables (PCIe) And check if 24pin and cpu cables sit right. Switch seats to the PCIe slot below. Tried to install the drivers manually but it does not work. Updated windows and drivers. Removed 1 ram stick at a time. disconnected fans etc. to try to boot. I do not know if you have to do something special in windows or bios. My specs Nzxt z490 motherboard I9 10850k corsair 16x2 Gb 3200mhz 3060 ti msi gaming x trio nzxt kraken z73 total of 7 fans in my case 2tb hdd, 256gb m.2 the graphics card is lights up and the fans are working. Could it be my PSU that is not providing enough W? I have a corsair tx750m bronze that is about 3 years old. I'm not used to the nzxt bios and not sure what to change or not. I have not overclocked CPU only set my ram to 3200mhz. I do not have the opportunity to try my graphics card in someone else's computer

I have no clue. I'm currently building an Itx PC but I want to get something better than an rtx 2060 in the future. So I was wondering if the rtx 3000 series would have Itx GPUs. I haven't seen any info about it so I would like to know if you guys have a lead. Thank you

I currently have 2x8 gb 2666mhz ram from Corsair rgb pro vengeance, but I want to upgrade to a 64gb kit and I can’t work out if the price benefits of 2x(16x2) kits is better than 1x(4x16gb) kit. Speeds wise I’d have to go for 3200mhz if it was a 4x16 kit since on amazon it’s £398 compared to the £850 cost of a 3600mhz kit. However a dual kit of 2x16gb ddr4 3200 is only £174 and if I got 2 of them it would be cheaper than a quad kit, what’s better? Also bear in mind the prices are from rgb kits as I plan to move my pc to my desk at some point. Thanks

Hey guys; long time viewer, first time writer: I'm building my first gaming PC and I had a major question. I was planning on buying the 2060 super for my $2000CDN build, but I've heard some rumors that the 3000 series from Nvidia is about to release sometime in 2020. I am concerned that this could cause a price drop in the 2060 and I'll lose out on cash I could have saved by waiting a couple months. Do you guys know how true these rumors are or is it worth just buying it now anyways. I want to have my computer finished by September and I don't want to wait too long. Thanks, POLUS BOLUS

So I'm on the hunt for some RAM for the 8700k and I can't decide whether to get 3000Mhz or 3200Mhz. Is there really a big performance gap between the two speeds for Coffee Lake compared to Ryzen? I heard the sweet spot for Ryzen is 3200Mhz. I was looking at the G-Skill Trident Z RGB 3200Mhz or Corsair Vengeance RGB but they're both out of stock on AmazonUK or just priced high So I've started to look for some USED RAM for waaay cheaper on Reddit and people are actually selling them for around £120-£140. EDIT: btw, RAM prices are f*cking ridiculous right now, WHY. Thanks, Sean.

Some clear reports about the releases from AMD.... some reports that single core boost is still not there as amd confirmed fully functional bios version will be released some times later..... AMD navi release seems to got more attention than their cpu release.... beating rtx 2060,2070 and on par with 2070 and 2060 super respectively...even beating it in some games... Some youtube reviewers praised for this performance from navi cards ..and new choice for the 1080ti performance for $400 dollars.. Claiming rtx features against the navi cards are useles...cause rtx is at the moment is useless themselves for the rtx cards....only ti is somewhat deserved to buy for rtx gameplay navi cards are not paper launch and are available at micro center if you buy amd cpu ..you get EVEN $50 DOLLAR discount off of those cards. i say both CPU AND GPU release is a success for AMD SOME reviewers on youtube are falsely claiming that the navi cards are bad value....they are nothing but paid shills...dont fall for it..because super cards aren't worth the price...at the moment 3700x amd 3900x both destroy intel 9th gen cpus even at 7z zip compression test and adobe premierer pro rendering which was intels lead all this time 3700x is within 5-8% of all games tested of the 9900k....so within 5% is just margin of error...so still claiming intel is the KING of gaming does not value that much... 3600 geekbench single core is 5.6k and multi core is 28K-30K...with 4.3 all core boost. which is on per with 8700k at 4.9-5.0 Ghz... they are having problem with single core boost of 4.4-4.6 ghz

Hi, I wanted opinions on whether the 3800x or the 3900x will have a better all core overclock. I ask this because, I want to know if having more cores will limit the max GHz of the 3900x or if they will be about the same.

HI Guys, Need some advice on weather i am being stupid or i should be fine, i am looking at upgrading from the 1600X to the 3800X. Do you guys think this would be a good idea or a bad one? Do you think my board will handle the power requirements? Please only reply if you know what you are talking about, many thanks in advice

It says that the ryzen 5 3600 will be released on the 7th of July globally. Does this mean my country will already release it? (It's 15 hours earlier than the USA) or do I still have to wait for the USA? If so, what time will it be released in the USA?

If one were to pair a Ryzen 3000 chip with an X370 MOBO, could one expect to achieve 3600 frequency? I've read many posts discussing limitations of first generation Ryzen and most user unable to go beyond 3200mhz or so. Is this due to the first gen CPUs or the MOBOs themselves? Yes, I saw another user on these forums ask a similar question, but they only discussed 3200mhz. Anybody have knowledge / personal experience they could drop? Thanks for the help as always, guys.

I'm planning to upgrade my cpu but I'm torn between the 3600 or the 3700x CPU because I plan on buying a new GPU as well. Currently my cpu is the i5-3570 and my GPU is the GTX 970. So should I get the 3600 and buy a better GPU or get the 3700x and hold off for a GPU sale?

Hello, I'm building my first pc and this are my key parts (I'll overclock): -Z370 MSI Gaming pro carbon -i7 8700K delid -RTX 2080 I'm looking to buy the RAM but I don't know which one to pick. The cheapest 3000Mhz and 3200 Mhz modules I found are both Corsair Vengeance LPX (2x8GB): -3200Mhz C16: 130€ -3000Mhz C15: 115€ If there's a noticeable performance benefit I'm totally fine to spend 15€ more. Consider that I'll overclock the ram (or at least try to do it lol, I've never done it). I'll mainly play 1080p games at the highest refrash rate possible (if it matters) Which one would you pick and why? Thanks!

Afternoon All, What do you guys think on weather for example my Asus X370 Gaming F board will be compatible with the high end chips E.G. 3700X and so on. I know that my board for example has a core limit of 8 but i have no idea what this mean in terms of if its possible to get a bios update to up this count or if a new motherboard is needed. I know there is no firm details out there but i would love hear some seasoned VETs give their thoughts on this and how this will impact most people.

If one must build a gaming rig AND workstation and one of them is needed right now for optimal performance of its own function and temporal settlement for the other, while the other will be built upon one of the next gen CPUs (Zen 3 / intel unknown) of year 2020, which system should be built now and which one in the future? CPU choices Gaming: i9-9900K Workstation: i9-7980XE

Hi all, I am very confused. I am looking at the MSI QVL for the board I am thinking of buying to find out which memory would go well with it. The board is the B450 Gaming plus Max (QVL: https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/support/B450-GAMING-PLUS-MAX#support-mem-19). I'm not sure I understand what the 1|2|4 Dimm stands for, does it mean if it only is checked for 1 and 2 Dimms that it won't work (at the reported speed) with 4 Dimms? I want to start of with 16GBs and then expand to 32 if needed (Blender and gaming, possible Unity) Also I am now looking at this GSkill Aegis set since it's relatively cheap, it's present in the QVL and, if I do understand the check-marks correctly, can be used with 4 modules. Is it worth spending about 25 euros more on 3200MHz RAM? Will be using it with a Ryzen 5 3600 to replace a 1231V3 with 16GB DDR3@1600MHz. Thanks

Hi guys, I'm thinking of purchasing a Ryzen 5 3600 along with a MSI B450 Gaming plus MAX motherboard (due to the out-of-the-box support for ryzen 3000). I will be replacing a E3-1231V3 with 16gb of DDR3@1600MHz. I'm not really much for overclocking, though I might give it a try at some point. At the moment I don't see myself using more than 16GBs of memory, but in the future I might (Deep Learning and 3D modelling), so I want 4 DIMM slots of which two are occupied. I am mostly torn between 3000MHz, since there is a kit that is cheap and tested in the QVL of the mobo to support the speed and support up to 4 DIMMs. For some reason most memory is only compatible in one or two DIMMs. I am looking at this set: https://pcpartpicker.com/product/FNprxr/gskill-aegis-16gb-2-x-8gb-ddr4-3000-memory-f43000c16d16gisb Going for 3200MHz will cost me at least 15-20 euro more if I pick a set that is compatible with 4 DIMMs on this motherboard. Should I really spend that much more on slightly faster RAM? Thanks

x370 X370 update roadblock cleared or not?
Tech Reprise posted a topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
Hello, I bought a ryzen 3500 for my ax370-Gaming Rev 1.x Gigabyte mobo and wanted to update bios on it. So I did all the steps and when on flashing the EC Firmware from Bios F31 it reverted bios to F20 (which is the bios my board came with). Now the problem here is that many say that while EC Firmware updating the mobo will boot into the Backup Bios instead of Main Bios and it should revert back to the old bios after a full shutdown and restart. So I did all that and even after a day of shutting down the Bios was the same F20, so I flashed F30>F31>F40. Now will this update be erased if the Main bios triggers again (only if the ec tool booted into backup bios) also is there anyway to know which bios is currently being used by the mobo? Now the main thing that concerns me is that if it reverts back then I am doomed AF as only F40 and up has ryzen 3000 support. -
I recently made a forum about my friends PC but now that I have mine I have problems. It doesn't turn on it used to blink red for a millisecond. I tried changing the front panels connectors and replugged in everything from the PSU and I think it is faulty! please help. Specs: Ryzen 5 3600X - Stock Cooler MSI MPG X570 Gaming Edge Wifi 2x8gb 3200mhz Corsair Vengeance RGB Red Devil RX 5700 XT 1TB NVMe Adata XPG 750W Thermaltake grandpower 80+ GOLD NZXT H510 Elite I spent 2300 AU dollars please I beg the pc gods for forgiveness. UPDATE 10/10/2019! I just want to inform everyone I apologise for not replying and being a little salty. I found out my 24 pin was installed incorrectly and this is a message to all new builders install your cables correctly and have learn't that PC's are sensitive. I have now installed windows and have done all my drivers everything is working I appreciate the constant support and help from members. I only have one thing left to do I tried getting my ram to 3200mhz at it's meant to be speed but I used XMP and then it stopped booting and I reset the cmos everything is fine now. Do i need to change any voltages or should i just change the value to 3200 and then apply and boot? no rush for this answer was just wondering.
