I have a Ryzen 5 5600X, what’s the best cooler I can get on a £90 budget to keep it (my CPU) nice and cool?
-
As title said, I'm looking at the Arctic LF 360mm Rev3.0 which is going for 199$. ( Rev3.0 is the latest one with a better AM4 bracket, we don't have the cheaper 280mm yet same performance as the 360mm, here sadly ) The only issue is, as good as this cooler is the price is bit high because other offerings in my country are like. Lian Li Galahad 360mm - 166$ NZXT Kraken X73 360mm - 199$ Corsair iCue H115i RGB Pro XT 280mm -146$ Corsair iCue H150i RGB Pro XT 360mm - 166$ Corsair H115i RGB Platinum 280mm - 174$ BeQuiet! Pure Loop 360mm - 141$ BeQuiet! Pure Loop 280mm - 121$ Which would YOU buy personally ?? Cheap s BeQuiet is, but I saw the review the performance is rather weak. While Corsair are one of the loudest...and I think Kraken is slightly worst than Arctic LF but same price. Lian Li seems to be nearly good as Arctic LF and cheaper too ? But what would you recommend if for me if I have these preference. I be using it to cool the 5900X with Crosshair VIII board in the Fractal Design Meshify 2 case. Doesn't care about RGB Want decent cooling and low noise out of the box without swapping the Stock fans Prefer not to use software to tinker around the Fan Curve etc Prefer to deal with RGB fan because the stupid amount of connection needed May consider swapping out Stock fans for EB eLoop B12 P ( 2000 RPM max fans but this is optional, I may stick to Stock fans if they are decent enough )

I recently bought the be quiet silent loop 2 280mm AIO and forgot to check if it fits in the top of my current case (and it doesn't). While the AIO would fit in the front, I wanna use this as an excuse to get a new case. I really like the Pure Base 500DX but I'm unsure whether the AIO fits in the top of that case or not and I don't actually know what to look for on that. Does it fit or not? If not what other cases could I buy or what do I have to look for?

As title suggests am looking to upgrade stock cooler AMD Ryzen 3600 , more so for noise but also for cooling thinking either Noctua NH-D15s or nzxt kraken x62 280mm aio Either way I'll be getting some more case fans either route but just looking for input , thanks

I own a Phanteks Enthoo Pro M Tempered Glass edition case and I'm about to buy the Kraken x62 cooler (280mm AIO). So the question is whether I would be able to mount it to the front of the case in a Push/Pull config without removing the HDD cage. The spec sheet certainly says you can mount a 280mm rad without removing the cage, but after searching online there are some folks who claim that you can't and others who say you absolutely can mount it. So I'm going a little crazy, does anyone here own this case and had to mount a 280mm rad in the front of this case to share his/her experience regarding issues or complications during installation? And last but not least: If there is no way of mounting the 280mm version and leaving the HDD cage intact at the same time I'll definitely buy the x52 variant instead, which is 240mm. So my question this time would be if you could mount 4x 120mm fans for intake (2 from each side and attached to the radiator) without any problems. I know it's a lot of questions but I've never installed an AIO or a radiator before in my life and it's a little scary... Thanks in advance!

Hi there, Pretty new to the forums but long time LTT follower. I'm looking for a bit of community help in choosing a case for a new portable editing system. Over the last year I have been doing a lot of Freelance editing and have needed to take my workstation from job to job. My current x99 system is in a Corsair Carbide 500R and has both work and personal data on it. It's large, heavy and well like part of the family so every time I have to move it I worry. In fact Ive had to leave it at location a number of time. Not fun. So I'm planning on building a Ryzen based secondary editing PC that I can load my footage and projects onto for the duration of the job and not worry about anywhere near as much. I'm looking for a compact/portable case that can support an m-atx mobo, a standard sized GPU...say founders edition as a minimum, 2-3 3.5 HDD and at least 1 2.5 and finally a 280mm AIO. If the case could have handles that would be a bonus... So far the closest thing I've found is the bit-phoenix Prodigy-M... But I'm not sure on RAD support. I'm open to advice or suggestions etc and if you need more details just let me know. Cheers! FG

Hello mates. Can i split my two 140mm fan from a 280mm rad into a single CPU PWM port on my Board? The pump is connected directly to to the psu via 4pin molex to 4pin pwm. My concern is if I split the CPU 4pin Pwm on my board to connect my two 140mm fan, will those two fan achieve optimum performance??? In terms of "will it hit the fans max or highest RPM" if I set to 100% stuff like that..

Have a Cryorig H5 Universal, but am getting 80 degrees with my 7700K in even the lowest ends of games, with every fan in my computer on full blast. Because of this, I'm thinking of getting a radiator instead. Here's the interior of my computer: I removed the front bays because I initially planned on getting a radiator, but then figured that air cooling would be enough. Fan at bottom blows upwards, grill fans are intake, rear fan is exhaust. My case is a Fractal Design R5 (no window). Let me know where I should put the radiator, which radiator you think I should get (and which fans, if I should get any for it), and anything else you might suggest for me. Thanks. <3

I'm going for a build with the new i7 8700k and looking for a AIO CPU cooler for it. At the moment I'm looking at a 280mm AIO as an intake on the front of the case but I dont want all of my intake fans to be controlled by the CPU temps so I came up with this idea, I dont know if I'm over thinking this or onto something. On the front of the case go with a 280mm radiator and have the 2x 140mm fans pushing air through the radiator controlled by the CPU temps, on the other side of the radiator have 2 more 140mm fans but these controlled by the GPU. I'm thinking if either of the CPU or GPU needed cooling then these fans would be able to bring more air either through the radiator for the CPU or into the case for the GPU? What do you guys think, am I over complicating things or is this a viable option?

Does anyone know of a matx case that supports a 280mm radiator at the top (30mm thick + fans). While at the same time a 240 mm rad at the front (also 30mm thick + fans). I would go for a full tower but my new matx z270 board would look a bit weird. I've found some. however all the cases i've found arent the traditional tower style. They're more cube shaped. I would like to know is there are any like the traditional tower style. Acrylic or tempered glass windows would be a nice bonus, but not a must have. Thanks for your time. : )

Hi guys just enquiring about these two combination for my new pc. Im intending to put the 2x 140mm on the bracket top, and the radiator below the fans . What i intend to achieve is that the fan acts as a pull mechanism rather than push [linus coverded something about dust issues with push into the radiator causing issues to clean later on] would the pull config on a 280mm work is my enquiry because there is a 20% ebay deal and im kinda on the verge of buying it [143aud after disc] just enquriing now because if it doesnt fit smoothly i am ok with downgrading to a smaller aio [240mm] just to make it work but would like to check first with the community. Thanks a heap bunch for the help~! sorry if i double post wasnt sure where to put this post... zzz

My h110 i think is starting to go (5 years old) as I am noticing 10-20c high temps on one side my CPU, and I think in is stating to partially gunk up in the fins. I am choosing between the Corsair H115i Pro and the Enermax Liqtech II 280, but I have heard that Enermax's Ligtech TR4 coolers have a really bad corrosion issue and if it is best to just stand clear of their coolers.

What would be better: a 240mm rad or a 280mm rad, with the 280 going a about half the fan speed of the 240mm? Assume all other specs are the same.

So I am looking to make my first build ever, but I have some questions: I am going for cpu AMD Ryzen 7 2700X and I want it liquid cooled what i never owned before so i got some questions: Will I see a noticable difference between a 280mm or 360mm liquid cooling kit? Also I see a 'huge' price difference between NZXT and Be Quiet!, pure because NZXT has lightning? Or is there is performance, build quality difference? Because i never had liquid cooling, the Be Quiet! you can refill, is that really a need? Can the water just be gone even there is no leak? My options in my opinion right now: NZXT Kraken 62 will cost me : +- 160 euro NZXT Kraken 72 will cost me: +- 200 euro Be Quiet! Silent Loop 280mm will cost me: +- 150 euro Be Quiet! Silent Loop 360mm will cost me: +- 170 euro (I will put it in a NZXT h440 or a Be Quiet! Dark Base 700 not sure yet so I have the space for the 360mm but i want to know if its worth it the extra money)

I'm building a 3k gaming pc and I need to choose an AIO cooler for it. The pc will be used for streaming paired with a streaming box, so it needs to be 1) kinda quiet or noise will be picked up by the microphone, and 2) still have low temps because I'd be playing videogames for like 5-6-7-8 hours a day min., plus during summer heatwaves make my house reach 40°c ambient temperature. The build so far looks like this The NZXT x62 looks like it is universally accepted as one of the best. I was thinking also about either the EVGA 280clc or the new Corsair Hydro H150i Pro RGB, and idk looking for other alternatives, maybe to find something better! So, what AIO would you suggest?
-
I need to choose a nice AIO because I want to cool my i7-8700k properly since things can get very hot in my area(Rome can get up to 45° during the summer), and in general why not? The best AIO for its value is either the kraken x62 or the evga 280clc, right? The fans aren't too bad on neither of those, and they're 280mm. Most 360mm AIOs have shit fans for the value of the cost, right? What is the best AIO not considering the fans? Meaning, that you buy it and then replace the fans with something better of your choosing, or put into other words, with good radiator+pump+tubing for the price. I was thinking the new Corsair h150i pro can be a nice choice since the fans are cheap and the AIO itself I can buy for around 170€; are there better AIOs to buy in this case? Or even better; are there "AIO"s sold without fans? Is it worth buying the EK-MLC Phoenix AIO for 260€?? Is it that good? I appreciate the possibility of adding a GPU block in the future, but I'm mostly thinking about that I get no fans with it, so I think the radiator, tubing and pump must be of a really nice quality, on which i can add good fans later(as I would with another AIO, but with the EK one I wouldn't be trashing some cheap fans that I payed for). Are there AIOs that are full copper/nickel? Furthermore; do you have any suggestions on how to choose AIOs, or any insight or product that I might not know about? I'll appreciate every suggestion, thanks! For reference; my build right now is like this EDIT: my mistake, the EK AIO does come with fans, hmpf. Are they good? Like, noctua good? So good that they make me consider not switching them for rgb fans?

Hi all, Looking to build my first custom loop at some point this year, and I've got a question regarding radiators. I did the EKWB Configurator, however they don't have a huge number of radiators on there, so I was wondering what other options of a 280mm radiator there are out there? And what is best value for money!

Hi guys, I'm in search for a nice looking mid tower case that supports a 280mm radiator and 5.25" optical drives (at least one) I'll be using the Corsair CW-9060020-WW Hydro Series H110i GTX https://www.amazon.de/dp/B010NS1LVA/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_5EYsAb340C5GF The case shouldn't be more expensive than about 100$ I already found two cases that should match the requirements The aerocool aero 800 and the Fractal Design Focus G Does anyone have experience with those cases and/or can tell me if the AIO will fit in that case? Thank you very much! ~LoaderB0T

Hi, I know I am going to get so much hate for this but I forgot to check to see if my AIO CPU cooler will fit in my case and now I have bought a 280mm radiator with a case that can only support a 240mm rad. I need to buy a new case because I don't want to get rid of the cooler. I need something that is cheap, white, has a side window, and can support a fan controller in the front. oh and my motherboard is an ATX, I have an ATX power supply, and my graphics card lenght is 312mm. I am really in need of this and I need something as cheap as possible. I was thinking about This but I need to know if there are any other solutions that may be cheaper or better for the same price, I am really on a budget here. Thank you guys so much.

I would love it, if you people suggest an excellent 280mm AiO, which is of course priced reasonably. (also have eyes on Corsair H110i GTX : your view on this please...) BTW, is 280mm even worth it? Does 240mm perform similar to 280mm? I'd like your constructive views on this. I'm currently using Intel stock cooler. Thanks!

Firstly I want to encourage any mods to move this if they feel it fits into "graficscards" better. For everybody else I first want to point out that all this is hypothetical at first. I might want to do something like this in the future but neither tomorrow nor next week. My question is: Which 980 Ti should you buy if you plan on OCing with a custom loop ...? I'd say EVGA is definitely my best bet. The question would then more specificly be: Which 980 Ti to get since the "regular" and the classified are so far apart in price ("regular is 690€+ and Classified is 740€+ ... ok it is not that much)? Would you even consider the Hydrocopper version? From what a block costs it does seem overpriced and I would have no problem with taking apart the card and applying the block myself. Would you recommend other cards and why? i know that getting a block for custom PCBs is harder but how important is the custom vs stock PCB debate in terms of overclocking? What block would you get? Is there are review of its performance somewhere (can you link it )? Yesterday night I looked at Alphacool and EKWB but I read reviews where the Alphacool-er really didn't cut it compared to it's contendors. I don't think those were about the 980 Ti blocks but they were the same design as the blocks I saw on their site. I was thinking about cooling the whole think with a 240mm or preferably a 280mm rad. Enough? I want it to be as quiet as possible within reason. (Finally: The 980 Tis use Titan X blocks if I recall correctly ... Please clarify)

whats the best AIO 280mm liquid cooler would also prefer for it to be quiet
